Ethereal Encounters Unveiled welcomes Maria Toso Thursday, November 13th, 2025 LIVE 11-13 at 5 PM EST Topic: Heal What Hurts: The Process That Gets Results When Therapy Fails Bio: Yoga Teacher, Author, and Energy Guide, Maria is sparking a movement to remember the healing power of loving presence as the Divine within. Fed up with the endless cycle of lashing out, numbing out, or checking out, thousands of people turn to Maria's Heal What Hurts method to heal emotional triggers at their root. Her approach is based on a profound truth: the dynamics we find ourselves in are precise manifestations of the programming held in the energy field of the body. Just as a projection on a screen can only be changed by clearing the lens, our painful life stories will keep repeating until the energetic contractions in the body are dissolved. Maria's method teaches us to meet these contractions with loving presence. In doing so, we clear the energy field, realign with the Divine Light we truly are, and remember our original wholeness. Being triggered becomes not a trap but a sacred opportunity to return to love, flow, and authentic connection. Originally from Denmark, Maria has lived in Minnesota since 1998. She has taught Yoga Teacher Training in the Minnesota College system since 2015 and has led retreats across the U.S. and Europe. Her new book, Heal What Hurts: How to Heal Emotional Triggers (Llewellyn Worldwide, September 2025), introduces her eight-step process for transforming emotional pain into a path of spiritual growth and embodied presence. She now teaches Heal What Hurts in small group settings online, through retreats, and in private sessions. Book: Heal What Hurts: Get it on Amazon: https://amzn.to/4nRfeoZ https://www.mariatoso.com

I Really Underestimated Myself This is a podcast with two important messages: 1 – I bet like me you are comparing yourself to someone where the comparisons is complete unfair. And while you are stuck in compare and despair, you are under-valuing and under-estimating the skills, knowledge and experience you do have. 2 – We all should have some form of digital products, some form of scalable, semi-scalable offer, where we can help more people, stop trading all our time for money and experience the joy of making money in your sleep – whoop! After talking to a group of around 50 female entrepreneurs a few weeks ago I realised that I know my stuff when it comes to creating and selling online, digital products. I know how to create a mixed model business, where we get to have human interactions, in-persons offers and have scalable digital products. I know how to create multiple streams of income from your gifts! But if I am honest I never considered myself digital course creator, and sure I've helped many 1:1 and mastermind clients create income this way, in truth I've shied away from it because I'm not one of the big million-dollar course creator players! In September 2025, I took the stage at Shoshanna Raven's Living Brave Live to share a story that has shaped every part of my life, my leadership, and the global movement I've built through SoulWork. This is a deeply personal talk about what it takes to rise as a woman who is devoted to both spiritual depth and business mastery, while creating a legacy of holy redistribution and meaningful impact in the world. The journey begins in the red-light districts of Kolkata, India, where I first encountered the raw edges of human suffering while working alongside survivors of human trafficking. That experience forever changed me. It sparked a defining moment in a cracked mirror, where I asked myself if I was willing to give up everything to be the one who took action — and made the decision to stop waiting for somebody somewhere to do something, and instead become that somebody myself. Out of that moment, SoulWork was born — an organization dedicated to training trauma-informed yoga teachers, leading global retreats, and supporting humanitarian projects around the world. Since its founding in 2015, SoulWork has: Certified thousands of teachers worldwide Built schools and classrooms in India, Guatemala, and Costa Rica Created programs that merge trauma-informed leadership with spiritual practice Crossed $3 million in lifetime revenue while staying rooted in purpose and integrity But my journey hasn't always been easy. Behind the scenes of sold-out retreats and visible success, I struggled with financial scarcity, debt, and the pressure of carrying a global mission. I share how I went from being overextended and exhausted — running 50 retreats a year — to completely restructuring my business into a sustainable, high-profit, low-maintenance model. This shift didn't just transform my business, it transformed my life. It gave me the space to: Renovate my grandfather's home in cash Build a stable financial foundation for my family Deepen my spiritual practice as a lineage carrier in the Himalayas Expand my humanitarian efforts in a way that is truly sustainable In this episode, I also introduce the archetype of the Philanthropic Femme — a rare kind of woman who embodies three essential pillars: Spiritual Depth – devotion to personal practice and a connection to something greater than herself Business Mastery – the strategy, systems, and leadership required to scale her vision Holy Redistribution – using wealth to fund movements, support marginalized communities, and create systemic change This talk is an invitation to every woman who feels the tension between her desire for inner fulfillment, her outer success, and her calling to make a difference. If you are ready to: Build a business that reflects your soul's purpose Step into financial sovereignty while staying deeply rooted in service Merge feminine leadership, conscious business practices, and philanthropy And become the woman who stops waiting and starts creating the change she longs to see …this episode will light a fire in your spirit. You'll leave with a new perspective on leadership, wealth, and impact — and the clarity to walk your own path as a Philanthropic Femme.
Have you ever wondered what those $300 online teacher trainings were like?Well, I asked someone who both teaches online and also has looked through more than one of these. What really makes a yoga teacher training “good”? In this episode, we explore the realities of online vs. in-person YTTs, why pacing and feedback matter, and how affordability impacts accessibility in the yoga profession. Katlyn Greiner and I delve into the myth that higher costs equal higher quality, the role mentorship can play in shaping new teachers, and the financial realities of studios running training sessions. Plus, we unpack the tension between brand cohesion and creativity in the yoga business.KEY TAKEAWAYS 1. Online vs. in-person training Asynchronous, low-cost YTTs aren't inherently “less than.” We need to rethink perceptions of online vs. in-person education.2. Pacing matters Dumping all the content at once isn't effective. Pacing supports integration and embodiment of teachings.3. Feedback is essential Integrated feedback—live or asynchronous—is key to learning, relationship-building, and quality in online trainings.4. Financial accessibility Low-cost trainings expand access. Eliminating them would reduce opportunities for many aspiring teachers.5. Mentorship as the missing link Imagine affordable online YTTs paired with paid local mentorship—a model that supports both new teachers and experienced guides.6. Rethinking “quality” High price ≠ high quality. Metrics for strong training should include teaching skill, student engagement, and practical business acumen.7. Teacher trainings ≠ cash cow For many studios, YTTs aren't highly profitable—they're a labor of love or a way to train new teachers.8. Creativity vs. brand cohesion Studios must balance cohesive branding with honoring yoga as a creative practice. Navigating that tension is key to sustainable growth.RESOURCESWorking In Yoga WebsiteWorking In Yoga NewsletterPodcast ShopRegister for the FREE webinarKatlyn's IG

We've talked about what the eight limbs of yoga are and where they came from (if you missed that episode just scroll a few back) but what is each limb's practical, energetic, and spiritual significance in modern life? From the ethical and personal observances of Yama and Niyama, respectively, to the physical aspects of Asana, the breath control of Pranayama, and the mental focus of Dharana. And of course how it all culminates in the exploration of Dhyana and Samadhi. The Eight Limbs are here to help you cut through the noise and come back to what really matters, this episode will explain how. Listen and learn:
I'm back with Chapter 2 of the Bhagavad Gita! This is so dense I had to split it into two parts. Today we'll discuss verses 1-38. This chapter serves as a foundation for understanding the eternal nature of the soul (Atman) and the importance of non-attachment in the face of life's challenges. Let's look at Arjuna's emotional turmoil and Krishna's tough love approach, emphasizing the need for inner stability and the acceptance of life's transient nature. The emphasis on the immortality of the soul, the significance of understanding one's Dharma, and the win-win perspective in life. This chapter literally has all of Krishna's essential teachings. Making it a gold mine. Get ready to learn from the original life coach (Krishna):
What if everything you've learned about pranayama tells only half the story? In this episode, Jason Crandell breaks down the two radically different approaches to pranayama found in traditional Hatha Yoga and Patanjali's Raja Yoga. These lineages share a goal—liberation through practice—but their breathwork techniques, underlying philosophies, and mechanisms of transformation couldn't be more different.Whether you're a yoga teacher, a teacher-in-training, or a student curious about the deeper roots of breathwork, this talk will help you understand: • Why pranayama in the Hatha Yoga tradition focuses on energy, purification, and awakening Kundalini • Why Patanjali's approach to pranayama emphasizes stillness, subtlety, and inner quiet • How each tradition views the purpose of pranayama in relation to the mind, body, and spirit • What these differences mean for your breathwork practice and teaching todayThis lecture is excerpted from Jason's online Pranayama Teacher Training, a comprehensive course that combines modern science and traditional wisdom to help yoga teachers build confidence in teaching breathwork.
