Letting go of our controlling parts is the way to flow with life. Swaha reminds us that this transformation is possible. The challenge is to observe where we're stuck, with courage and honesty; this way we gain an understanding of our unconscious patterns. Once we recognize it, acceptance becomes natural, opening us to life's beauty. We regain trust in the organic flow of existence by aligning ourselves with it, being more playful and ready for the adventure.Vasant Swaha is a modern mystic sharing his love, joy, and wisdom in retreats. “If love knocks on your door, follow it. Don't go back to sleep”. A seeker shares with Vasant Swaha how taking part in the retreat has changed her life and asks him how she can realize her true Self. He answers by first quoting the words of Hafiz, Rumi and Khalil Gibran and then explains that what we're looking for is already here but can only be revealed to us in a climate of emptiness, love and gratitude - and for that an inner cleansing is needed. Swaha shares the example of a 14th century Kashmiri woman named Lalla who was a mystic. She was a wild and free spirit and also highly respected. She was known for helping those who were lost in the forest of the mind to find their way back to their heart.Vasant Swaha is a modern mystic sharing his love, joy, and wisdom in retreats. All kinds of Manokamanas are fulfilled by chanting Lakshmi's Sarva Manokamana Purni Mantra and offering lotus or pink flowers to the Goddess.
“Om Rudraya Swaha” is another powerful mantra from Hinduism. This mantra is dedicated to Lord Rudra, a fierce aspect of Lord Shiva. Let's break down the components of the mantra: Om: As mentioned earlier, “Om” is a sacred sound representing the ultimate reality or consciousness. Rudraya: This is a reference to Rudra, a name of Lord Shiva in his fierce and destructive form. Rudra is often associated with the storm, the howling wind, and the roaring thunder. Swaha: This is a common ending in many Vedic mantras and is often translated as an offering or oblation. When chanting “Swaha,” it is like offering one's prayers or intentions to the divine. “The greatest luxury in this world is to enjoy your own Self.” - Vasant SwahaThis excerpt is from a Satsang from the silent phase of a retreat. Swaha talks about the value of silence, and finding ourselves in the silence. “To be a nobody is the most extraordinary in this world, because everybody wants to be somebody.”At a time when all the religions of the East talked about “finding your Self,” the Buddha declared there was no Self. Swaha explores this point of view - “What is yours in silence? What is yours in love?” and talks about finding out who you are beyond the physical body. The Taoists, with their down-to-earth approach, address this topic with a sweet little koan. Swaha reads words from Chuang Tzu on how to live in an easy and harmonious way. The secret is to become an empty boat crossing the river of life.Vasant Swaha is a modern mystic sharing his love, joy, and wisdom in retreats. The Taoist teachings are down-to-earth, for your day-to-day life.“When the shoe fits, the foot is forgotten. When the belt fits, the belly is forgotten.”In this excerpt from a Satsang, Swaha reads Chuang Tzu 's mind-bending verses about harmony in living. “Easy is right. Begin right, and you are easy. Continue easy, and you are right.”When you are in balance, you go beyond “right and wrong.” You simply see things as they are. Resting in yourself, you find freedom. Life is a gift, enjoy, celebrate. Vasant Swaha is a modern mystic sharing his love, joy, and wisdom in retreats. This is an excerpt from a Satsang during the Summer Retreat at Dharma Mountain, in Norway, on 17th of July 2011.For more information visit www.vasantswaha.net
How can we talk about something, the essence of which cannot be explained through words? The Taoists use water as a metaphor. Sitting beside a waterfall, Swaha reads and comments on these words of Lao Tzu:“The Supreme Truth is like water, which nourishes all. It nourishes all things without trying to do it. It is content with low places that people disdain. Thereby, it is one with the Tao.In dwelling, live close to the ground. In thinking, keep it simple. In conflict, be fair and generous. In governing, don't try to control. In work, do what you enjoy. In family life, be completely present. When you are happy to be complete yourself, you are one with the Tao. And don't compare or compete. Then, everybody will love and respect you.”Vasant Swaha is a modern mystic sharing his love, joy, and wisdom in retreats. “Taoism is not a religion, it's not a belief, it's a way of living and coming back to live in harmony with existence” -SwahaOne cannot understand the Tao intellectually, it has to be a deep realization. The first step is to be open, to feel more. It helps to observe the cycles of nature. If you manage to get out of your head and into your heart, it becomes easier to see the bigger picture of life and to tune into the whole. The Truth is timeless. It is eternal. Meditation is key. In this talk Swaha reads words from Lao Tzu aimed to guide one on this pathless path. Vasant Swaha is a modern mystic sharing his love, joy, and wisdom in retreats. A disciple writes expressing his idea of discipline as something hard that requires willpower. He also shares that while persistence might lead him to beautiful spaces it also makes him feel very rigid. Addressing that, Vasant Swaha talks about how we misunderstand discipline. We have been fed patterns that make us feel the obligation to be nice, good; therefore, we live from the ego. But, in fact, real discipline comes from another space. Building a different consciousness, Swaha shows us the way toward an effortless discipline, which leads us to freedom.Vasant Swaha is a modern mystic sharing his love, joy, and wisdom in retreats held in Brazil and in Norway. Meditation is a deep form of self study. This does not mean it has to have a big A HA moment...neither at the beginning middle or end…and to be honest, if you are hoping for that, I am not sure you will find it here. Eureka is built into stillness. Stillness is the AHA moment. It is in stillness that everything and nothing arrives and the ultimate minimalist party begins. Learn the basics of Japa mantra + move your way through seven healing and empowering practices - each built to span 40 days.. Mantra 3: Om Gum Ganapataye Namaha / Swaha Chakra designation: Muladhara Mudra: Ganesh Mudra A naming mantra, calling in the energy of Ganesh, the remover of all obstacles in the physical and spiritual realms. Ga sound, resonates close to the energy of earth and creates a grounding connection with the earthly plane, where our bodies ultimately house our consciousness. Repetitive ga sounds remind us we are rooted Althernating the use of Namaha and Swaha ending the mantra gives a shift in its energetic experience. Namaha means bowing to the energy contained in the mantra, naming the energy of Ganesh as one might offer a salutation, a deep bow, a surrendering of the self. It is said that it is better with manifesting at the physical realm. Swaha means oblation or offering, containing a feeling between readiness and urgency, an immediate activation of Ganesh energy summoning the great power from within. Swaha is more spiritually, rather than physically aligned. A wonderful mantra for beginning new projects, clearing the way for creative expression, and manifesting a clear path towards your intention. I often use this mantra before I teach yoga, to ground and focus my energy, and with the intention of clarity through my body-mind and speech.
