I was thinking about Prahlāda Mahārāj. kaumāra ācaret prājño dharmān bhāgavatān iha durlabhaṁ mānuṣaṁ janma tad apy adhruvam arthadam (SB 7.6.1) He talked about how one should start the process of education very early. He got direct knowledge from Nārada Muni. But most people don't get that benefit, so it's very difficult to be on track. In fact, it is impossible without some knowledge intervention. anarthopaśamaṁ sākṣād bhakti-yogam adhokṣaje lokasyājānato vidvāṁś cakre sātvata-saṁhitām (SB 1.7.6) The Bhāgavatam says most people are in ignorance: lokasyājānato vidvāṁś. Cakre sātvata-saṁhitām— Śrīla Vyāsadeva's anxiety was that everyone should have the Bhāgavatam, or I should say, his anxiety is that everyone doesn't have the Bhāgavatam, and they should have it. Our whole bent in Kṛṣṇa consciousness is towards education. Those who come can hear, and those who can't come, they should be able to hear also. We should reach out to them and give them an opportunity. Humans can self-educate also, in the sense that if they're smart enough to learn how to read—or even if they can't read, if they just hear from another person who's giving parampara knowledge—then they can come out of ignorance. But it doesn't happen automatically, and it definitely doesn't happen if there's an inculcation of ignorance. anyad evāhur vidyayā- nyad āhur avidyayā iti śuśruma dhīrāṇāṁ ye nas tad vicacakṣire (Śrī Īśopaniṣad Mantra 10) There's a big difference, what kind of knowledge you get, or if you're given ignorance as so-called "knowledge." ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://vaisesikadasayatra.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose
If you consider advertising, how does it work? You have to repeat it. People say things over and over again. Also as mentioned, politically, if lies are repeated over and over again—enough times—then it just becomes an accepted idea from the repetition. So, that's conditioned life. I'm repeating to myself various false senses of myself. From the Rāmāyaṇa, we have this profound example: that Kaikeyī is transformed from a loving appreciator of Rāma to someone who envies him and fears him because of Mantharā's statements. She says it several times, makes several arguments. So, this is the repetition that's going on internally; we're taking it in externally. In this sense, the chanting of Hare Kṛṣṇa is a reorientation, and we repeat it: Hare Kṛṣṇa, Hare Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa, Hare Hare Hare Rāma, Hare Rāma, Rāma Rāma, Hare Hare Again and again we're saying, "Kṛṣṇa, I'm Your servant. Kṛṣṇa, I'm Your servant. Please engage me in Your service." The mind says, "I, me, my; I, me, my; I, me, my"—it's a lyric from a song—and we say, "Hare Kṛṣṇa, Hare Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa, Hare Hare / Hare Rāma, Hare Rāma, Rāma Rāma, Hare Hare." We need that because the layering is thick. It's been for many, many lifetimes—the misconception that I'm the center. But here, we're putting Kṛṣṇa in the center, saying, "Kṛṣṇa, I'm Your servant. How may I serve You?" That's a great relief: to come to reality. So, we can consider this therapeutic. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://vaisesikadasayatra.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #makejapagreatagain #mantrameditation #chantharekrishnaandbehapy #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose
We avoid four sinful activities and especially avoid four things. Be careful about what we eat, as it directly affects your consciousness. No illicit sex, no intoxication, no gambling, no meat-eating. These are just low activities. When we're engaged in devotional service, we have to be careful because we may not see everything. So there are different kinds of aparādhas. There's vaiṣṇava-aparādha, there's nāma-aparādha, there's sevā-aparādha and there's dhāma-aparādha. For instance, when you go to the dhāma, you have to be very careful because you may not know where you're stepping. You should not develop a flippant attitude—that "Who are all these people? What's this place?" If you're around devotees, you should be very humble because you should know that they are very dear to Kṛṣṇa. When you're around the Deities, don't be a bull in a china shop. That's why there are regulations in pañcarātrika worship. You make sure there's no cross-contamination. If you touch some prasād, like if you pick up a tulsī leaf already offered, then you purify your hand before you offer a fresh tulsī leaf. You have to be careful where you step, never step over Kṛṣṇa, never put your feet on things. There are ways— like don't talk loudly before the Deities, don't cry, wail. There are all these points for avoiding aparādha. 'Rādhā' means ārādhanam, worship of Kṛṣṇa in the proper way. And there are ways that are improper. So you refine your mind and the way you act when you're around the devotees, when you're around Kṛṣṇa, when you're around the dhāma, and when you're around the Holy Name. Then you can be fully receptive to their mercy and take it all in. Pāpa are gross activities that come from our attachment to the modes of rajas and tamas, and even sattva to some degree, but it's very light. But the tamasic, we have to be very careful and purify our minds and hearts so that we can at least develop sāttvic habits. Kṛṣṇa talks about this in the 11th Canto, there is a whole chapter about it. Everything you use in your life should be sāttvic. Because otherwise, in rajas, tamas, then you're still subjected to activities that are animal-like. And we need clarity, we need sattva. Sattvaṁ yad brahma-darśanam. You have to come from the raw wood, to the smoke, to the fire. That's tamas, rajas, sattva. So we avoid the things that are obviously degrading, and then we avoid offenses so that we can be gentle and worshipful around the Holy Name, around the Vaiṣṇavas, around the Deities, etc. I'm going to read you the verse again, because this is the verse for the day. This, for those of you who are interested, it's in the.. When you are chanting, be aware that you pronounce the mantra and then let your mind follow each syllable carefully. Keep it in your heart that you are addressing a person, and let there be an underlying intention of service and connection. That's very technical. Once, when a Malaysian Airlines flight went off course, nobody could find the airplane because the transponder in the airplane was not working. So it was just lost; still not found to this day. I was in a little bit of despair after hearing about it, thinking what those people might have felt like to be off course and untraceable. At the time, I was chanting japa, and I realized that my chanting was a transponder. It's the ‘black box' letting Kṛṣṇa know not just where I am, but what my intention is. Practically, people misinterpret our intentions all the time; or people don't have the wherewithal to know what our real intentions are, or we may hide our intentions. Kṛṣṇa is the one person who knows all of our intentions, and this is a good time to align them in japa. It's one of the ways to be fully focused: to use your intention to call out to Kṛṣṇa and just say, "I'm lost. I don't know where I am in this material world. I don't know where I'm going. I don't know how to hold everything together, although I do my very best to do that." You can let it all come down at Kṛṣṇa's lotus feet through chanting the Holy Name, and just be very aware that Kṛṣṇa is the only one that can help us. So, concentrate that you're chanting; put yourself in a vulnerable position and call out to Kṛṣṇa. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://vaisesikadasayatra.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #japajolt #makejapagreatagain #mantrameditation #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose
On Episode 253 of Submaroach, TMT and Mayowa are joined by special guest Abimisola, host of Japa Diaries. The number one podcast about documenting the real experiences of African immigrants navigating life in the diaspora. This episode serves as a send-off before the boys take a well-earned break, and it's packed with stories, reflections, and the usual insane humor.Abimisola shares her personal journey, how her background shaped her perspective, and what led her to create Japa Diaries. The conversation dives into the realities of japa life, identity, relocation, and the emotional and practical sides of starting over abroad. From there, things get very Submaroach and the boys spiral into conversations about dog names, random thoughts on Adobe (the company), family dynamics, and the surprisingly chaotic topic of not having driver's licenses. They also revisit and review the Submaroach live show, sharing behind-the-scenes thoughts and audience reactions, before closing things out by trying (and mostly failing) to convince TMT to finally start enjoying travel. It's insightful, funny, slightly unhinged, and the perfect way to cap things off before the break.Topics include: Japa Diaries podcast, African diaspora stories, immigration experiences, Nigerian podcast, travel conversations, family dynamics, Submaroach live show, comedy podcast Nigeria, relocation stories, lifestyle discussions.New episode out now.
There's a statement we've heard: 'We live in our minds; we see through the lens of our minds.' So, japa isn't just repetition, but it's a kind of relocation we have to take. We can think of the chanting—the mantra—as a residence that we enter into. It's where we want to live. We have to become abhiniveśa. Ni means 'within,' and veś comes from viś, which means 'to enter.' You actually have to go in there. Abhi means 'with determination.' Abhiniveśa means you actually have an intention of entering somewhere, and you go into it deeply. In Latin and English, 'residence' means re ('back') and sidere ('to sit or settle'). So, the residence is somewhere you go in and you stay there. This entering is what's most important, because that's what we can do. We can either enter the material world—which dvitīya means, is an illusory shadow of reality—or we can enter into reality itself, which is Kṛṣṇa and the Holy Names. The mantra avails us of that opportunity to individually observe that here is a residence; here is another place for me to reside. Because we only reside somewhere in our mind anyway, and go there, be in it, and reside there. We can see the effectiveness of our chanting by the way that we're able to actually enter it. So, it's not merely repetition, but it's a relocation of our awareness—making sure that we go inside and stay there. So that requires practice, determination, and effort. Japa is not easy. We have to be okay with feeling a little disturbed or seeing how hard it is, but that's part of getting good at anything. You have to be willing to get some blisters on your fingers in your practice, and only when you've practiced long and hard do you receive a fruit—because it's not cheap. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://vaisesikadasayatra.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #makejapagreatagain #mantrameditation #chantharekrishnaandbehapy #japa#spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose
We often talk about trying to remember, Kṛṣṇa; we try to be fully conscious of His holy name. But keep in mind also that when Draupadī called out, "O Govinda! Hey, Govinda!" then Kṛṣṇa remembered her with such affection that He said He was eternally indebted to her for calling out to Him. If you remember that, Kṛṣṇa is remembering you. He's also known as kaviṁ in that verse: kaviṁ purāṇam anuśāsitāram aṇor aṇīyāṁsam anusmared yaḥ He is the one who knows everybody and knows everything. So, He knows if we're sincere, and He especially remembers those devotees who are sincere. So, chanting just means: be sincere. Try to call out His name sincerely, trying to reach Him. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://vaisesikadasayatra.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #japajolt #makejapagreatagain #mantra #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

At San Francisco airport we would go and sit down with people, and mostly we were looking for hippies—people with longer hair—because we thought nobody else would take it. We would sit down next to them like we were just sitting there randomly. And then we would turn to them and go, 'Hey, you want to see something far out?' They would go, 'What do you have?' We would say, 'No, no, this is really far out. Check this out.' And we would show them the pictures in the Kṛṣṇa book. Then, people would get attracted. So there has to be something to be attracted to. Lord Caitanya— gaura-vāṇī-pracāriṇe, Śrīla Prabhupāda came and said, 'Here is Lord Caitanya's teaching.' It's about describing the spiritual world and our relationship with the Supreme Person. Minus that—āruhya kṛcchreṇa paraṁ padaṁ tataḥ—everyone works hard for nothing and falls down from their imagined position of liberation. Conclusion: Lord Caitanya is the best. He preaches the Bhāgavatam perfectly because He is Kṛṣṇa. He has come to show people how to do this, how to become free from weakness of the heart. Anybody can do it. And the chanting part—Kṛṣṇa is the ultimate, because everything is contained within the mantra. It's a very specific path; it's not willy-nilly. He explains it very clearly. Śrīla Prabhupāda, understanding completely how to present it, brought it and gave it even to the Westerners—pāścātya-deśa-tāriṇe. The pāścātya-deśa: he came and gave the same teachings of Lord Caitanya. So now that Prabhupāda has left, He gave us the instruction to carry it on. Whatever or however we feel about ourselves or our abilities, we have to rise to the occasion and give mercy, especially in the Western countries. As I was saying this morning: bhārata-bhūmite haila manuṣya-janma yāra. janma sārthaka kari' kara para-upakāra. We have to do para-upakāra—the greatest benefit to human society—by distributing the message of Lord Caitanya, especially if you have any roots in Bhārata, it's our duty. This is really nice thing—anywhere you live, if you can come out. We didn't get a very good view of it today because there's cloud cover and all these buildings, but it's nice to come out and watch the sunrise every morning. It's a glorious thing. It's nice to chant a few mantras, like the Gayatri mantra, and there are others. Bharat Maharaj, when he went off to the forest, he was worshiping the Lord within the sun. dhyeyaḥ sadā savitṛ-maṇḍala-madhya-vartī nārāyaṇaḥ sarasijāsana-sanniviṣṭaḥ keyūravān makara-kuṇḍalavān kirīṭī hārī hiraṇmaya-vapuḥ dhṛta-śaṅkha-cakraḥ (Rg Mantra, quoted in SB 5.7.13,14) ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://vaisesikadasayatra.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaise
Question: What are some practical things to do to our environment to optimize for absorption in the holy name? First of all, make your bed in the morning. Make sure it's completely neat and clean, and then get everything out of your way; that's a distraction to you. Get rid of stuff you don't need. Don't pile up a bunch of junk in your room. If you collected teddy bears when you were a kid, start giving them away and get down to simplicity in your environment. Don't over-collect anything. And then, get rid of your phone. Lock it up, put it in another room, or turn it off. That's drastic—turn it all the way off! And your mind's going, "Wait a minute, where's that little glow that I'm so used to putting in front of my face?" It's a bane on society nowadays; it's actually a travesty that this thing has been invented. Steve Jobs didn't let his kids have iPods or iPhones—do you know that? Because he knew the harmful nature of it. So, shut down your phone, lock it up, put it in another county, and then start chanting. Make an inventory of those things that distract you and then put them somewhere else, out of reach. Baby-proof your room. Your mind's like a little baby: "I want this, I want that." So, you know ahead of time: put it out of reach so that you have every advantage. Practice being bored. The mind is going, "I'm bored," and so you say, "Good. That's good. Be bored." Better that than to be scrolling. And if you practice being bored, sooner or later, you are going to break through. Try for breakthrough. Don't be like everybody else, just getting carried along. Even so-called "smart" people in the world—they don't have this practice. So we're really lucky, and we should take full advantage of it and try to get into absorption. And if you do, Kṛṣṇa will help you. The mercy is there. It's not impossible; it's very, very possible. It's just that we have to practice a lot. We have to practice daily, and we've got to want it and make it a discipline. Then the mind will conform, and Kṛṣṇa will.. Don't take yourself too seriously, in a way, because, you know, we're insignificant. Prabhupāda signed all his letters, 'Your insignificant beggar.' And if you come in like that, I mean, how bad can you blow it as an insignificant beggar? It's like, what do you expect? I'm just doing my best right here, and I don't know where I came from. I don't know where I'm going. I don't know anything. You know, I don't know how AI is going to turn out in the end. Who does? Even the best scientists on the Earth are going, 'I don't know what this stuff is.' So, we don't know much; we're just floating around. But if you appreciate Kṛṣṇa's intelligence in the Bhagavad-gītā, just that He's talking to you directly—get that feeling, and it will guide you always. He's always there, guiding from within the heart. We have buddhi-yoga, which means 'the best.' It's way better than the paid-for version, even of ChatGPT, or the 'Deep' ChatGPT, or any of the search engines. The best search engine is there: Kṛṣṇa is in your heart because He's nice and He's actually a person, whereas AI is just recycling stuff. It comes from a data center that's going at 100°C, and you've got to keep them running and suck all the energy through one little building out of a town. You know, everything's held together by rubber bands, but Kṛṣṇa is substantial. So, just take shelter of Him, and don't worry too much. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #japajolt #makejapagreatagain #mantrameditation #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

We have no idea where we are, how we got here, or how much time we have. So, having that state of mind and preparation with Khaṭvāṅga consciousness is very mature. It's very smart. Everybody else is whiling away their time playing as if they're going to live forever. Prabhupāda once said—you can mark it, it's in the database—he said, 'A materialist is somebody who thinks, "I'll live forever." A transcendentalist is someone who thinks, "I could die at any minute."' And therefore, they are taking their life seriously. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose
Submarine and A Roach, Nigeria's funniest podcast and the #1 comedy podcast in Nigeria, presents “2026 Predictions: Nostradamus vs Adeboye,” hosted by Mayowa, TMT, and Koj.Quatrains meet altar calls as the boys translate two very different prophets for 2026. Nostradamus' “thunderbolt” and “blood flowed” are remixed into cancel-culture hazards and pregnancy hopes.Pastor Adeboye's 2026 notes include: “more remarkable than 2025,” stronger winds, more opportunities, less hunger, SMEs blooming, a touch of reverse JAPA, fewer chances of major war, and a hurricane watch; they become a point of contact for hope and survival. From there, it's culture and sport: paying athletes on time (and why “disgrace the shameless” sometimes works), the art of grooming your kids into your football club, and a bold World Cup prophecy that has Declan Rice polishing a Ballon d'Or.Music heads get a Wizkid × Asake temperature check, while politicians get roasted for their palatial interior design choices and Ozempic.Farmers and the Middle Belt get their flowers, Harmattan gets side-eyed, and 2026 car lots are predicted to invent saner payment plans, because everybody deserves a clean whip.Personal prophecies land too: one truly viral guest, at least one live show, crypto finally paying rent, a 15-minute comedy taping, pickleball and squash supremacy, and, Insha'Allah, IG-approved abs. It's predictions, prayers, hot takes, and practical optimism, the Submaroach way.

We see things are 'powered by this' and 'powered by that.' That should be our motto, our slogan for ISV: 'Powered by Japa.' Because that's where we have the opportunity to express our heart to Kṛṣṇa individually, reach out, and take shelter, and remember every day. Remember why we're here in the first place. It is a very short ride, but an opportunity to take shelter of Kṛṣṇa; and you can best take shelter through the Mahāmantra, which is just an expression of: 'Oh Kṛṣṇa, I need You. Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam says every time the sun rises and sets, it takes away our āyu. We get a prescribed number of days along with our birth—thrown in for free—but it is expiring day by day when the sun comes up and goes down. Poetically it says ( SB 2.3.17): āyur harati vai puṁsām udyann astaṁ ca yann asau The sun is speaking to us as it goes overhead, saying, " I am taking away our life. Another day is gone. You never get it back. Except for one who is engaged in discussing Kṛṣṇa and Kṛṣṇa consciousness." It is a nice practice to greet the sun whenever you can and just meditate on its infinite power as one of Kṛṣṇa's representatives here in the universe where you can become aware of them. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose
Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, when he lived in Vṛndāvana, would walk from Akrūra Ghāṭa every morning and sit down at Imlitalā tree and he would chant japa from early morning into the late morning. Similarly, when Caitanya Mahāprabhu came to South India, he made special arrangements for his japa. It says here, from our reading last night: "Since your two hands will always be engaged in chanting and counting the holy names, how will you be able to carry the water pot and external garments?" That's Nityānanda Prabhu trying to induce Caitanya Mahāprabhu to take somebody with him. Why? So he could have his hands free and chant Japa. From this verse (Cc Madhya 7.37), it is clear that Caitanya Mahāprabhu was chanting the holy names a fixed number of times daily. The Gosvāmīs used to follow in the footsteps of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, and Haridāsa Ṭhākura also followed this principle. Considering the Gosvāmīs—Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī, Śrīla Sanātana Gosvāmī, Śrīla Raghunātha Bhaṭṭa Gosvāmī, Śrīla Jīva Gosvāmī, Śrīla Gopāla Bhaṭṭa Gosvāmī, and Śrīla Raghunātha dāsa Gosvāmī—Śrīnivāsa Ācārya confirms: saṅkhyā-pūrvaka-nāma-gāna-natibhiḥ. In addition to other duties, Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu introduced the system of chanting the holy name of the Lord a fixed number of times. As confirmed in this verse, Caitanya Mahāprabhu used to count on his fingers; while one hand was engaged in chanting, the other hand kept the number of rounds. This is corroborated in the Caitanya-candrāmṛta and also in Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī's Stava-mālā, which is quoted. Prabhupāda says: "Therefore, devotees in the line of Caitanya Mahāprabhu must chant at least 16 rounds daily. And this is the number prescribed by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness. Haridāsa Ṭhākura daily chanted 300,000 names; 16 rounds is about 28,000 names. There is no need to imitate Haridāsa Ṭhākura or the Gosvāmīs, but chanting the holy name a fixed number of times daily is essential for every devotee." So, this is the foundational principle of the practice of devotional service, and we get constant confirmation of how important it is. https://vedabase.io/en/library/cc/madhya/7/37/ ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #makejapagreatagain #mantrameditation #globalyouthretreat #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose
I had to drive to an early morning appointment, and here in my area, on the 101 freeway, which is the main thoroughfare, they have put up this system where the fast lane has signs above it that tell how much it's going to cost you to drive in the fast lane, and it's constantly changing according to how much traffic is there. It's become very sophisticated. You can see early in the morning it's practically nothing, and then later it goes up to $5, $17 if you want to drive a few miles in the fast lane. I was just thinking, because I left a little early for my appointment, that it didn't cost that much, and if I had waited a couple more minutes, it would have jumped. And I was thinking how important it is in the human form of life to try to take advantage early. Don't think, "Okay, I'll do the wrong thing and it won't make a difference." Every minute makes a difference if we want to stay in the fast lane, keep making the decisions to take Kṛṣṇa first, deal with Māyā later, and maybe next life, or never at all. Stay on that fast lane, the fast lane consciousness, just by starting early and getting your most important things done first before the price goes up and you have to pay a much higher price for it. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #makejapagreatagain #japajolt #mantrameditation #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose
This japa is described as a kind of self-examination. It's possible to live an unexamined life. Socrates said, "The unexamined life isn't worth living." There's no value in it. Worth means you're getting something out of it. One feature of japa is that we have 108 contiguous decisions to make. Each bead is a new decision: "Will I meditate on the mantra that goes with this bead?" And you can see, if you go for the next one, you think, "I already did that?" So now I'm not going to concentrate, then you can go for eight beads or 107 more without thinking of it. But if we train our mind to make a decision, use our free will to come back to each bead individually, it's a meticulous kind of training for the mind. Because the mind wants randomness in order to escape reality, which is that we're not this body, we are not part of the world. It's been conjured. And we don't like to be challenged our sense of reality. But it's not painful if we face reality, because reality is beautiful and abundant. Krishna is friendly. So if we train our minds that every bead is a new choice, and remember that between the gap of one bead and the next, we have to renew our decision to meditate on that next bead. If we can practice that, then the mind becomes trained to stay constantly in that decision-making process until it becomes completely natural to only think of the holy name and stay fixed there. Otherwise, if we let it descend into randomness, then it becomes like a dog. If you've ever met a dog—I have—who wasn't trained properly, he jumped on everything, everyone. Doesn't matter what you tell him, he just goes nuts because he wasn't trained early enough on. So that's one of the aspects of japa that's the great advantage to our own personal well-being and our training of the mind: attention training. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #makejapagreatagain #mantrameditation #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose
I just got off a class with the devotees in Mayāpur. We are taking the Bhakti-vedānta, and we have been reading this morning from the section of the Bhāgavatam: Kṛṣṇa chastises Kāliya. In our discussion, we had been talking about the ways in which Kāliya had received Kṛṣṇa's mercy because he danced on his hoods, but he simultaneously pounded him with his lotus feet. Because of that, he vomited out all the poison that he had, that was because of his unfortunate mentality, which he had become envious of. But somehow or other, his wives had offered prayers when they saw that Kāliya's mood had changed, and he had become a surrendered devotee. We were discussing about this point at which one decides to surrender to Kṛṣṇa. You don't have to wait till the poison is all pounded out of you; you can voluntarily surrender. And having the association of his wives, Jīva Gosvāmī said, who were pure devotees, that's what gave him an opportunity. His wives had thought that he must have done something previously to give him this opportunity to get Kṛṣṇa's mercy of dancing on his heads with His lotus feet. And the ācāryas say and so do his wifes that what he had done was... ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #mantrameditation #japajolt #makejapagreatagain #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

There is nothing more direct and personal that we can do than repeat Kṛṣṇa's names. He is completely present, 100%. In fact, Rūpa Goswāmī says the name is better than Kṛṣṇa personally. And therefore, out of all the practices we do, this is the most direct. We have complete, full access to Kṛṣṇa just by his name. So, it's very personal. You can remember that the name and the named—Kṛṣṇa and his name—are non-different, and that it's a very personal process of repeating somebody's name. If you love somebody and you say their name, then you become immediately connected in consciousness. But because Kṛṣṇa is an absolute person, He makes his avatār in his name specifically to lift us up. And Rūpa Goswāmī and all the ācāryas say, "Out of all the practices we do, this is the most important." Feel free to give your whole heart and mind to the process. Nothing else is needed, just this chanting with sincerity. And one other mood is that we're all going through a lot because we're in a human experience, and we're very vulnerable and exposed from all sides. We can use that to our advantage by just admitting to Kṛṣṇa how we're suffering in the material world and how we need a shelter, because no one else can help us, only Kṛṣṇa. Just take exclusive shelter of Kṛṣṇa through his name and chant with your heart. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #japajolt #makejapagreatagain #mantrameditation #chantharekrishnaandbehapy #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose
The sages of the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam tell us that before the creation of the material universe, everything exists in subtle potential within the consciousness of the Supreme Lord. When He glances upon material nature, His will awakens the machinery of manifestation. The universe begins to print itself into being, one layer at a time, from subtle to gross, from vibration to form, from thought into thing. This process is mirrored everywhere around us, and even within us. In the age of machines, the simplest metaphor is that of a 3D printer. The 3D printer begins not with paper or ink, but with information: invisible sequences of digital data, code, shapes, colors, ideas are sent from the mind of a creator into a mechanism that translates them into visible form. The machine does not invent the content; it merely reveals what has been conceived. The same principle governs the cosmos. The material universe is not a random explosion, but a deliberate unfolding, an act of divine printing. The Lord's glance over Prakṛti or material nature is like pressing the "Print" button. The information—the blueprints of galaxies, atoms, and souls—is already encoded in the divine mind. The material energy serves as the printer, the instrument through which that information takes on perceptible form. Just as a printer cannot produce anything unless data is supplied, nature cannot act without consciousness. The Bhāgavatam describes material nature as inert, a machine that awakens only when the glance of the Lord touches it. That glance is consciousness; that glance is will; and it brings everything to life. And Japa is the sound that prints the spiritual world. In the same way, our consciousness is constantly printing our personal reality. Each thought and desire-vibration we emit becomes a line of code in the architecture of our life. This is why the Vedas say, "manomaya prāṇa śarīra netra" "The mind is the architect of form." When we chant the Hare Krishna mantra, we are sending transcendental information into our hearts and the subtle layers of the universe. These sounds are not material; they are Śabda-Brahman, pure spiritual energy in the form of vibration. They contain within them the entire reality: Krishna, the source of everything, His names, His pastimes, and His devotees. So, just making a parallel to remember that whatever vibration we're making is forming the world around us and within us. Japa is the means through which we transform the instrument of our mind to a medium where we can see Krishna. And it requires some practice, because in the beginning, the mind is agitated by various thoughts, moving in different directions. And then talking to somebody recently who is studying the subtleties of the mind and the process of meditation, I came up with this phrase: "benign discomfort." When one practices sitting to chant the holy name of the Lord, one has to tolerate benign discomfort, as the mind might want to move here or there. We should stay in the practice of bringing the mind back to the mantra until it becomes ekāgratā, or one with the mantra. And then we can find great benefit in being fully absorbed in the mantra. So, we're printing our world as we speak and as we chant, and we have to tolerate benign discomfort. There's great fruit in staying the course. If we can achieve one-mindedness with the mantra, we can achieve absorption. And all benefits, spiritual benefits, come from that absorption. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------
“Some time ago, I realized that there was such a thing for me as experiencing my patients as being friends, but they were psychoanalytic friends. It was a psychoanalytic friendship that was quite unique and unlike any other friendship. I think that's what people are talking about when they write about psychoanalytic love. It's not love like any other kind of relationship, because the psychoanalytic relationship is so unique. And I feel the same way about psychoanalytic parenting. It's like it's close to mentoring, but it's different because the structure of the relationship is different than from a mentor or an esteemed and loved teacher. It really is helping somebody with the whole process of development and helping them grow, mature, and become more comfortable with themselves and to know themselves better. That seems to me the essence of parenting, and I don't think we should feel defensive about thinking about it that way. That doesn't seem to me that it's my counter-transference in needing to be a good mother, a good father, a good parent to my patients.” Episode Description: We discuss the challenge of transmitting the experiential knowledge of the dynamic therapies to new generations. David's book on therapeutic aphorisms demonstrates a number of key elements of this unique relationship - symbolic meanings in symptoms, 'psychotherapeutic parenting', the simultaneous use of medications and working with the unlikable patient to name but a few of the topics he brings forward. He describes the challenges of the negative therapeutic reaction, how "transference reactions are the creative soul of the patient's story" and what it was like for him to admit to a patient that he lied to her. We close with his reflecting on the meaning to him of retiring from full time practice, noting "I haven't retired my psychoanalytic mind." Our Guest: David Joseph, MD is a supervising and training analyst at the Washington Baltimore Center for Psychoanalysis where he served as chair of the board and director of the Institute Council (education committee). For many years he was the Director of Residency Training at St. Elizabeths Hospital in Washington, DC. He has a long-standing interest in ethics and has written and spoken about a number of ethical issues in the practice of psychoanalysis. In this deep dive with Kyle Corbitt, co-founder and CEO of OpenPipe (recently acquired by CoreWeave), we explore the evolution of fine-tuning in the age of AI agents and the critical shift from supervised fine-tuning to reinforcement learning. Kyle shares his journey from leading YC's Startup School to building OpenPipe, initially focused on distilling expensive GPT-4 workflows into smaller, cheaper models before pivoting to RL-based agent training as frontier model prices plummeted. The conversation reveals why 90% of AI projects remain stuck in proof-of-concept purgatory - not due to capability limitations, but reliability issues that Kyle believes can be solved through continuous learning from real-world experience. He discusses the breakthrough of RULER (Relative Universal Reinforcement Learning Elicited Rewards), which uses LLMs as judges to rank agent behaviors relatively rather than absolutely, making RL training accessible without complex reward engineering. Kyle candidly assesses the challenges of building realistic training environments for agents, explaining why GRPO (despite its advantages) may be a dead end due to its requirement for perfectly reproducible parallel rollouts. He shares insights on why LoRAs remain underrated for production deployments, why GEPA and prompt optimization haven't lived up to the hype in his testing, and why the hardest part of deploying agents isn't the AI - it's sandboxing real-world systems with all their bugs and edge cases intact. The discussion also covers OpenPipe's acquisition by CoreWeave, the launch of their serverless reinforcement learning platform, and Kyle's vision for a future where every deployed agent continuously learns from production experience. He predicts that solving the reliability problem through continuous RL could unlock 10x more AI inference demand from projects currently stuck in development, fundamentally changing how we think about agent deployment and maintenance.Key Topics:* The rise and fall of fine-tuning as a business model* Why 90% of AI projects never reach production* RULER: Making RL accessible through relative ranking* The environment problem: Why sandboxing is harder than training* GRPO vs PPO and the future of RL algorithms* LoRAs: The underrated deployment optimization* Why GEPA and prompt optimization disappointed in practice* Building world models as synthetic training environments* The $500B Stargate bet and OpenAI's potential crypto play* Continuous learning as the path to reliable agentsReferenceshttps://www.linkedin.com/in/kcorbitt/* Aug 2023 https://openpipe.ai/blog/from-prompts-to-models * DEC 2023 https://openpipe.ai/blog/mistral-7b-fine-tune-optimized* JAN 2024 https://openpipe.ai/blog/s-lora* MAY 2024 https://openpipe.ai/blog/the-ten-commandments-of-fine-tuning-in-prod * Oct 2024 https://openpipe.ai/blog/announcing-dpo-support * AIE NYC 2025 Finetuning 500m agents * AIEWF 2025 How to train your agent (ART-E) * SEPT 2025 ACQUISTION https://openpipe.ai/blog/openpipe-coreweave * W&B Serverless RL https://openpipe.ai/blog/serverless-rl?refresh=1760042248153Full Video EpisodeTimestamps00:00 Introductions03:15 The Evolution of OpenPipe: From SFT to RL07:49 The Mistral Era and LoRA Adapters11:40 When You Actually Need Fine-Tuning14:43 The Pivot to Reinforcement Learning21:29 GRPO vs PPO: The Technical Trade-offs24:02 The Environment Problem in RL35:52 JAPA and Automated Prompt Optimization44:35 Open vs Closed Models: The Token Economics50:38 Ruler: Self-Supervised RL Rewards57:09 World Models as Environment Solutions1:00:15 CoreWeave Acquisition and Future Vision Get full access to Latent.Space at www.latent.space/subscribe

Cc Madhya 12.24-134 https://vedabase.io/en/library/cc/madhya/12/advanced-view/ ------------------------------------------------------------ You really have to be self-searching to make sure what your motive is. Japa is a good time to look at your motive and just see, am I actually sincere and self-searching? Because, just like, let's say, somebody writes you something or says something to you, and you perceive a molecule of anger, you know, the Rudra energy. Just say, you perceive a molecule of that when you... when you receive some... It might be translated into something like, 'How dare they?' Then, don't answer until you calm down. That's why letters were good, because you write it in anger, and the next day, because you couldn't find a postal stamp, it's like, 'What was I thinking?' Nowadays, people just push the button. And in a similar way, when we're making decisions, diplomatic or otherwise, I mean, diplomacy has a place, but we have to investigate: Am I self-motivated? Is there something in it for me, for my fame, or because I want to have the experience of dominating another person? If that's there, then it's going to be contaminated. So, be careful. It took 40, then 25, then 30 miles before the mind finally stopped screaming and started praying. Fresh off a solo bike ride through the Adirondacks, Raghunath and Kaustubha dive into practical bhakti: how movement can quiet the mental “algorithm,” how to use Kārtika (Damodara Month) to turn up your practice x1000, and why the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam's Brahma-vimohana lila (Brahma Mohan Leela)—when Kṛṣṇa becomes every cowherd boy and calf—reveals more than wonder; it maps how God and God's energies actually work. Key Highlights * “Metaphysical Amazon Prime”: stop praying for two-day shipping; start praying “What do You want from me today?” * Kārtika math: one round = a thousand (devotion multiplies—calories don't). * Japa that sticks: sit, walk, or pedal—just get past the first “many miles” of mental noise. * Phone in another room = mind in the same room as God. * Acintya-bhedābheda for real life: one energy, different functions—like electricity that can cool your fridge and heat your toast. If you're ready to trade doom-scrolling for mantra-rolling, this episode gives you a simple plan: pick a vow for Kārtika, leave the phone outside the temple of your morning, and let the mind settle mile by mile until prayer gets loud. The best way is to, as Prabhupada said, train your eyes to spot offenses and take the ten offenses as very important. Don't take it as rote, that it's something we recite early in the morning before we start chanting. Instead, look into it and see how you can integrate those prohibitions into your lifestyle. And that's the only blockade between us and śuddha-nāma. As Bhaktivinoda points out in the Harir Nāma Cintāmaṇi, there are clouds and mist that block us from getting the full effect of the holy name. Those come in the form of aparādhas. Apa- rādha means we're not worshiping properly; we're making some offense. So, there are offenses to the holy name, offenses to devotees, and offenses in worshiping Krishna. If we study these very carefully and practice avoiding them as much as possible, then we move very quickly into the nāmābhāsa stage. In fact, just the endeavor to remove offenses means that we are in nāmābhāsa. When we're not, when we don't care for the offenses—in other words, we're not thinking about it, we're just chanting and we don't attend to the offenses, meaning we don't try to remove them, we are not vigilant—then we are a nāmāparādha. So, cultivate those and try to vigilantly avoid them. Then the holy name starts shining through much more quickly, and we can rise to the point of śuddha-nāma by that process: chanting and avoiding offenses. This is confirmed by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura, who says it's not just chanting Hare Krishna through which we attain perfection, but it's chanting Hare Krishna and avoiding the offenses at the same time. Of course, if one is offensive and you don't know how to avoid offenses, then the Padma Purāṇa says: nāmāparādha-yuktānāṁ nāmāny eva haranty agham aviśrānti-prayuktāni tāny evārtha-karāṇi ca Then, just chant non-stop. Don't stop chanting so that your mouth says some offensive thing. Just keep chanting and don't stop, and then you'll develop the intelligence to avoid offenses. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #makejapagreatagain #mantrameditation #chantharekrishnaandbehappy #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose
I thank everybody for congregating here around The Holy Names and giving full attention. This is where we get strength, personally and also as a family, also as a community, also as a movement. It all comes from good japa. Any kind of adjustment you might feel in your life, you could trace it back to japa because: māṁ ca yo 'vyabhicāreṇa bhakti-yogena sevate sa guṇān samatītyaitān brahma-bhūyāya kalpate (BG 14.26) The only solution to life's problems and anomalies is to rise above the three modes of material nature. There is no other solution, and the only way to do that is by chanting the holy name of the Lord. Harer nāma harer nāma harer nāmaiva kevalam, kalau nāsty eva nāsty eva nāsty eva gatir anyathā (Bṛhan-nāradīya Purāṇa). So, let's make it our topmost priority and value to finish at least 16 rounds every day, and also to give full attention in the chanting and to avoid the 10 offenses in our daily lives from moment to moment. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #makejapagreatagain #mantrameditation #chantharekrishnaandbehappy #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

I was speaking with some of the devotees who noticed the same thing, just by chanting Harē Kṛṣṇa. We associate with Kṛṣṇa. We are in Kṛṣṇa's immediate proximity in a very special way, through the avatār of the holy name. And as the Bhāgavatam says, just by such proximity, we develop all of Kṛṣṇa's qualities. So the most advantageous of all practices is to stay in Kṛṣṇa's proximity. Prabhupāda used to go on morning walks, so it's an enlivening practice. Don't you think? The sun is coming up? Feel that the whole world you can see revealed is Kṛṣṇa's energies. It's very sweet. Shall we mosey back? I wanted to show you something along the way. There is a shop on the corner; they have a little neon sign in the window. In Toronto, I noticed when we were there during the pandemic a couple of years ago that a lot of people had these little neon purple hearts in their windows, about this big. And I traced it out and found out where they were made. It was a movement to honor the first responders during the pandemic and also to give some donations. I found the company that makes them, so we're working on a little design. We're looking at a few designs to make a small neon thing, and when somebody gets a Bhāgavatam set, we'll give them one of those things. It's not that expensive; they could plug it in and put it in their window. Then, wherever we go, we can look and see if they have a Bhāgavatam set. It would be like one of those shelters during a tsunami or anything. If anybody needs to, they can knock on the door and say, “Could you just read me some Bhāgavatam?” We want to make it a movement so it goes all over the world. We will see who has Bhāgavatam, and people will catch on that they should keep a Bhāgavatam in their house. That way, we could flood the world with Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam. A godbrother and friend asked me, as we sat down together for lunch one day at Govardhan Ashram. "Yes, please," I replied. He leaned toward me, placing his left hand on the floor. "Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead," he continued, 'is not only all-powerful, but he's also all-merciful." He went on, 'If he were all-powerful but not all-merciful, we'd be in trouble. And if he were all-merciful but not all-powerful, then what could he do for us?' His point was that Krishna is all-good. He wants to help us in every way, and he is the one person who can help us. "Then why isn't my life better than it is?" people often ask. Srila Prabhupada explains, 'The sun is equal toward all, and one simply has to take advantage of it. The sunshine is available, but if we close our doors and want to keep ourselves in darkness, that is our decision. Similarly, Krishna is everywhere. Krishna is for everyone, and Krishna is ready to accept us as soon as we surrender," Prabhupada wrote, 'But how can I surrender? How may I take advantage of the sunshine, and exactly what's in it for me?' are often the next questions. The answer is that chanting your daily 16 rounds of japa places you directly in the sunshine of Krishna's grace. And here is a summary list of what's in it for those who do, and it's based on the verse from the Padma Purana. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose
Prabhupāda said that you should continue chanting to become one-minded with the mantra. See, when you don't perceive anything else except the mantra, then you're happy. The mind's always darting here and there and considering, like, 'What's going to happen?' Nothing, because you're right here, always right now. It's just a movie that's playing. So when we can take shelter of the holy name and actually be one-minded, and we're only there with the holy name, which is Kṛṣṇa, we're there with Kṛṣṇa, then we're satisfied. So we have to be with it until the end. And effort means that we have free will. We have to use our energy to do something, to lift up, to try. It's not that the rope comes down, and we say, 'Thanks for the rope, but come down here and tie it around my hand. Otherwise, I'm not going to do it.' We have to take some effort. That's in the story of Yaśodā tying Kṛṣṇa. This is two inches, right? And the one inch, Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura says, is our effort, because when Kṛṣṇa saw that Yaśodā was perspiring and giving her effort, then He extended the other inch, which was, 'Okay, I'll let you tie Me.' So we have to put our effort in. Determination, effort. It's not just automatic it happens. We have to be there in the relationship, not that I have to develop faith in Kṛṣṇa.' He has to develop faith in you, in us. He has to see, like, 'This person's good for it. They're doing their due diligence. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose
The word "attend" has the word "ten" in it. It's Latin. "Ten" is the same word in tendon, which holds together muscle and bone. It also means to stretch towards something, to give it special attention. At-ten-tion. It's there also, intention. So, when we attend to the mantra, we're holding on, we're stretching towards it, always keeping the mantra. And on my screen, I was just noticing that I left four items behind because I have those little air tags. And I was thinking how, if you chant the mantra, you'll get a little notice: "Four anarthas left behind," really, because Kṛṣṇa purifies us by the sound vibration. But we have to be innocent and we have to be sincere and really try to attend to the mantra always. This instruction this morning about just listen to the sound vibration, try to hear it, don't interpret it, but just be very patient and accept that it's an avatār of Kṛṣṇa in sound. Then everything's revealed. Kṛṣṇa (04:30). ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #japawalk #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose
If you want to find the ultimate thing, you have to ask the question and if you want to acquire something, you have to ask about it. And whatever you ask about, that's what you're going to get. So if you just ask about the basic necessities of life, you get what the snails get: just a little grass. But if you ask about God, then you can get that. So the Brahma-sūtra says, "Athāto Brahma-jijñāsā." Now you should ask, who is Brahman? ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose
The Vital Veda Podcast: Ayurveda | Holistic Health | Cosmic and Natural Law
Ever wondered what makes a mantra truly powerful? Is it the precision of pronunciation, the ancient lineage it comes from, or the sincerity of the heart behind it?In this episode, Dylan speaks with Purnesh (formerly Swami Purnachaitanya), a teacher and practitioner who has spent over twenty years immersed in the Vedic tradition of mantra. Together they explore what mantra really is - not just words or sounds, but vibrations that carry & enliven consciousness itself. The conversation traces Purnesh's own journey of initiation and study, the importance of authentic transmission, and how mantras can shape not only our spiritual practice but also our daily lives. This is a grounded, heartfelt exploration of a subject often clouded by mystery and misconception. Whether you're curious about starting a mantra practice or seeking to deepen your understanding, this episode offers clarity, wisdom, and inspiration for engaging with sound as a profound tool for transformation.IN THIS EPISODE WE DISCUSS:
I was just thinking, also, about yesterday. We went out. It's an ocean out there, and people are coming from every direction. You don't know who they are, where they're coming from. I was thinking of the churning of the milk ocean when the devas and the asuras came together for the yajña. It was Viṣṇu's wish that they did this yajña. So, they threw all the ingredients into the ocean. And then, of course, with the help of The Lord at every step, because they couldn't even carry them out by themselves. But when they started churning, then of course, Hālāhala poison came out. And then there was Lakṣmī Jī and all the different entities. Saṅkīrtana is like that. It's the yajna, yuga-dharma. When we go out and attempt to distribute the holy names, the Bhāgavatam, and the Bhagavad-gītā, it's like churning in that crowd, and you don't know who's going to come out of it. Yesterday, on the way home, I got a note from somebody on our team about a person who had written in and said that many years ago, they got a book at a motel, and they didn't think anything of it. They said, "We stole it." It was a Bhagavad-gītā, and they said, "We also got some packet at Los Angeles Ratha-yātrā; somebody handed us one. We had them all, and we didn't do anything about it." He said, "But now I'm chanting. I'm reading. I'm part of the program." So the yajña is very potent because The Holy Name always has a supreme effect, even if somebody accidentally does it, what to speak of jokingly. I was thinking yesterday, too, there were so many challenges. Somebody called me a white devil. Another kid, when I asked about karma, he had some—he was very pugnacious and wanted to challenge the whole idea of morality and everything. It was like everywhere you go, there's some challenge, and it's very healthy to go out and be part of that polishing process where you're getting hit from every side, and then you are endeavoring to give people Holy Names. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #japawalk #sankirtan #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose
Śukadeva Gosvāmī says in the 14th Chapter of the 10th Canto that when people have a home, if it doesn't have Kṛṣṇa Consciousness inside, then it becomes like a prison. They're locked in, can't get out. Every realm is defined by the sound vibration. So you can have a fancy house, but once you are locked in there, you're stuck with the sound vibration that's inside. If the sound vibration is mundane, then it doesn't matter how fancy the house is, you'll be in hellish consciousness. And by the same principle, if you're even in the simplest environment, if the vibration is pure, then you're not in the material world. You're in the transcendental realm, as the realm is defined by the transcendental sound vibration. I once lived in Bhuvaneśvara in a little hut, went to my god-brother, and HH Gaura Govinda Mahārāja was staying there too. We had no facility, except for we would cook on a little fire, and Mahārāja would give class in the morning sitting on just a little wooden platform. There was nothing around at that time. But we were just completely happy, just a little khichḍī. We would sleep on the dirt floor in that hut and then listen to Bhāgavatam and chant, and then go to Jagannāth Purī. And it's a blissful life. So this grandiose society, everyone's trying to find happiness by developing materially, but they don't know the principle, which is sound vibration. So it's our job to introduce the science of Kṛṣṇa consciousness so people can transform their lives by upgrading their soundtrack and making sure that they include The Hare Kṛṣṇa Mahāmantra. They could even put Gaura Nitāi in their house. What a difference that would make! You could spend $5 million on a house on the street that's on the low side. We looked it up. One house is for sale down here. It's 4.2; it's the crappiest house on the block. But if there's no Gaura Nitāi inside any of these places, then what is the use? Soft pillows and a bed? It's just the exact same thing. That's what Śukadeva Gosvāmī says in the beginning of the Second Canto of Bhāgavatam you know, just live simply and chant Hare Kṛṣṇa and be happy. Or if you live in a nice place so more people can come, it doesn't disturb us either because the main thing is the vibration—keeping the transcendental little vibration going. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose
He is our little vegan friend (pointing to a snail on the sidewalk). He is informed from within by the Supersoul, but I'm not sure where he's going now, because it doesn't look promising, does it? You can see how hapless living entities who have no guidance can wander into some place that is extremely dangerous and be stepped on by material nature. So, it's there in the Bhagavatām: 'samāśritā ye pada-pallava-plavaṁ mahat-padaṁ puṇya-yaśo murāreḥ bhavāmbudhir vatsa-padaṁ paraṁ padaṁ padaṁ padaṁ yad vipadāṁ na teṣām (SB 10.14.58).' The material world is vipadam; it's very dangerous. Any step—your step or somebody else's step—can crush you. So that's like material nature. Here's the Virajā, maybe here's Vaikuntha . So, the avatāra comes and just intervenes. "I'm really sorry, my little vegan friend. Hare Kṛṣṇa. Hare Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa, Hare Hare Hare Rāma, Hare Rāma, Rāma Rāma, Hare Hare. We love you very much. Please tell all your friends to chant Hare Kṛṣṇa, and please, in your next life, come back to our program for going back to Godhead. But for now, we'd like to introduce you to a more lush environment. Please enjoy the salad bar, all you can eat.
