What's better than a film about a needlessly violent kindergarten cop brawling his way through a halfway house full of hot-to-trot teenage were-women? LITERALLY ANYTHING. This week, your two favorite alcoholics hit the road to Amityville, but instead of horror we find only shame and regret (again). But first, we lament the fantastic failure that is Resident Evil (the show, not the games), anticipate the newest upcoming brain-twister by monumental mindfreak M. Night Shyamalan (starring Dave “Not Groot” Bautista), and celebrate the undisputed perfection of Rob Zombie's take on “The Munsters”! Our feature review is the worst thing to happen in 2021, Thomas J. Churchill's embarrassing attempt at entertainment “THE AMITYVILLE MOON”. It's a…well, it's a movie. But don't worry, the DTS FULL MOON FUMMER FEST fails upward, onward, and always!

The UFC is taking one last week off before getting into the swing of their 2022 schedule, so the MMA Depressed us is taking the opportunity to dive back into one of their favorite holiday traditions. That's right, we're watching yet another Randy Couture film. Promising the badass thrills of Michael Jai White as 'Payne', alongside the wall-n-maul prowess of one of the UFC's most legendary champs, Randy Couture as 'Toro', who could say no to the March 5, 2019 action blockbuster ‘The Hard Way'— co-starring former Brit pop-rocker, from the band Bros (pronounced ‘bross'), Luke Ross? playing 'Mason'. Along with the lovely Madalina Anea playing 'Lacy Love'... We certainly couldn't. For all interested in watching along with us, ‘The Hard Way' is available on a number of platforms, including Netflix. But more importantly, there's also a copy hanging out free on YouTube. As always, we're starting at the beginning of the video. So, anyone following along just needs to hit play when Zane says “go”. A brief synopsis of the film states: "After learning his brother died on a mission in Romania, a former soldier teams up with two allies to hunt down a mysterious enemy and exact revenge." Directed by: Keoni Waxman, Written by: Thomas J. Churchill & Keoni Waxman. Filmed in: Bucharest, Romania. Produced by: Actionhouse Pictures - Hollywood Media Bridge. The film had an estimated $3.5 Million budget. Run time: 1 hour, 34 minutes. Not to be confused with the other 'The Hard Way' film starring Michael J. Fox & James Woods released during that same year. Throughout the 2021-2022 holiday UFC break we will continue to bring you podcast content every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday minimum, more days if we can. Watch for shows like ‘Crooklyn's Corner', ‘Show Money', more from ‘The MMA Depressed-us', ‘6th Round Retro', maybe even a guest podcast episode or two of ‘The Eugene S. Robinson Show Stomper!' — among others! On behalf of all of our crew on the entire Bloody Elbow Presents Podcast Network Team, have a safe and happy Holiday Season & be sure to stay tuned! Welcome to another Episode of The Xander Effect with my special guest, Director, Thomas J. Churchill. He chat's with me about how he shot his first film, at the age of 17 in his home state of New York, to how he got to Los Angeles where he continues to film many films that are streaming on Amazon Prime and Netflix. He also talks with me about the small differences in verbiage between Californians and New Yorkers.Plus in entertainment news, it's been a sad weekend in the entertainment industry as we have lost so many legends. Today we lost actor/comedian Jerry Stiller at the age of 92. In sports former WWE wrestler Alberto Del Rio has been arrested on domestic violence and sexual assault charges. In video game news, after close to 4 years since it's release Civilization 6 has a massive DLC content. All this plus much more starts right now.**Thomas J. This episode we interview writer, producer, and director Thomas J. Churchill.About Thomas J. Churchill:he Steps Daddy, The Amityville Harvest, Big Freaking Rat, The Hard Way, Nation’s Fire, Xenophobia, The Rack Pack, Checks Point, The Emerging Past, Lazarus: Apocalypse, Mr. Hush, and Devoured. A multi-award-winning writer, director, producer who founded Church Hill Productions, Churchill was born in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn, raised in Queens, New York. Churchill was a runner up for a film entitled, The Champ. Although the part went to actor Rick Schroeder, this did not discourage Churchill. It was his sophomore year in High School when he convinced his father to buy him a full-sized VHS video camera so he could make his vision come to life. The War Master, a film about two teenage cops fighting the drug problem in their neighborhood went on to win several local awards. Churchill convinced a few local video stores to carry his films as rentals to the neighborhood. Several newspapers The New York Daily News, New York Newsday, The Ridgewood Times and The Queens Tribune carried stories on Churchill. He went on to write/produce and direct other neighborhood films such as; Intrigue: The War Master (1989, a follow-up and another award-winning film), The Fear of Pain (1990, his first-ever Horror film), Emerging Past (1991 concept version) and A Distant Society (1994, his first Drama) These films taught him how to tell a story and most of all how to start something and finish it. Churchill would test his skills once again with another version of The War Master. This was the biggest budget of all the so-called neighborhood films. A System Devoured aka Devoured put Churchill through the test of being creative utilizing a very low budget. He entered it in the New York City Independent International Film Festival and won Best Video in 1999. Besides, millions of viewers tuned in to watch Churchill on The SyFy Network’s Monster Man, a reality show that showcased Churchill in episode #2 titled - The Forbidden Werewolf.
