Frank, George, and I had the pleasure of knocking a few back and having a little chat with Johnny on guitar, John on bass, and Milo on drums. This was recorded this past May, a few weeks before they played The Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekender. We talked about many topics, including the formation of the band, 90's movies, their love of tiki culture and drinks and their upcoming album. We also discussed some of the members other projects, including Resist and Exist and Uptown Psychos. Lastly, we talked about how Johnny did the unthinkable by playing surf music with a hollowbody guitar
I caught up with these guys at their live show this past March when they were on tour with the Bridge City Sinners. This episode was recorded once again at the smoking patio of Alex‘s Bar in Long Beach California. The recording was a bit chaotic as you can imagine there was lots of shouting, and people coming up to them and getting their merchandise signed. We talked about their upcoming album and We also discussed their last album “the trial”, The return of Jayke Orvis, how they spent their time during the pandemic, and How we all hate Whataburger!
