Drew & the Blue is Drew West, Taylor Lawrence, and Mandy Veloz.The band takes inspiration from the sounds of garage and surf, along with many of the primordial rock 'n' roll icons. Featuring a diverse musical sound that combines wild 50s rock'n'roll with ska and melodic punk, a juggling drummer, a climbing violinist and lots of free cotton candy — the energy is unforgettable and the show is a true spectacle. Now in 2021, the band has recently signed with Californian label Mannequin Vanity Records. Together, they plan to release the new album Just Kidding in June of 2021. To tease the upcoming album, Circus Rhapsody will drop their new single “Revolution” in May as well as several covers of their friends' bands in a #singmysongmydearfriend social campaign. Music and performance videos will support the release as well. Running publicity will be Melanie Kaye PR (formerly of Fat Wreck Chords Canada). In 2019 Circus Rhapsody celebrated their 400th concert. Welcome to the Nick Taylor Horror Show. Patricia Day is the lead singer and standup bass player for the HorrorPops, a Danish punk band with a sound rooted in psychobilly, rockabilly, and punk rock with a horror-centric edge. I am a huge fan of HorrorPops and have been for over 15 years. My personal favorite songs are Psycho Beach, Where they Wander, Walk Like a Zombie, and Dotted With Hearts. Their sound is so cool and so much fun. They intertwine horror with 50's rockabilly with a tongue-in-cheek vibe, and I just love them. If you dig the Nekromantix, Misfits, or any horror-centric band, definitely check them out. The HorrorPops recently released their first album in over 12 years with Live at the Wiltern, a dual album and DVD that features a 68-minute concert film. Greetings my ugly ducklings!Next week I will be posting another episode from Monster Creature Feature but before then I wanted to talk about a cool group we have had on the show THE TREMORS.The Tremors are Jimmy TremorSlim Perkinsand Jason "Stretch Armstrong"You gotta hear these guys to fully get where they are coming from but think Jerry Lee Lewis crossed with Carl Perkins mixed with some killer moonshine.The visuals for the band are all created by Jason and Death Ray Design, which are killer and are soon to be part of the The Southern Folklife Collection at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
