An episode from Liberty Behind Bars Ministry, a ministry serving the incarcerated across America located in Belfast, New York.“I spent half of my life in and out of jails, prisons, rehabs, and other facilities. Unfortunately, the programs that were offered did not help me to become a productive member of society, it just made me a better inmate. What changed me, was a new life in Jesus Christ and reading/studying a King James Bible. Many prisons, jails, and other institutions have heard from many of their inmates that they are changed due to religion. However, most are seen back within the next year or two. As God gave Moses a burden for the Children of Israel, so God gave me a burden for those in jails and prisons. Churches send missionaries to foreign countries, in support, hopes and prayers, they can win the nationals to Jesus, train them and then send the nationals back to their own people. This is what Jesus has done for me. He saved me out of this life of crimes and addiction, and now sends me back to my people who are in jails/prisons, to win them to Christ and send them back to their own people. This is where Liberty Behind Bars Ministry steps in. Not only do we minister to those behind the jail walls we help them transition into society; differently than they did in the past. The goal is to break the cycle of recidivism and help people have a changed life in Jesus Christ. I have my Doctorate in Christian Biblical Counseling and use this knowledge to not only help those within the jail/prison walls, but also to support their family members. Every message shared through this podcast comes from likeminded, Bible-believing churches and ministries that hold firmly to the King James Bible as the final authority in faith and practice. This podcast is used as a Gospel resource and teaching tool, including outreach efforts to individuals who are incarcerated. Jace breaks down Amazing Spider-Man / Venom: Death Spiral – Body Count #1, an epilogue issue that reframes Torment through his final moments after Mary Jane/Venom throws him from the rooftop. The issue gives added context to Torment's origin, his youth, his lack of experience, and the possibility that his connection-seeing ability may be hereditary, especially with the final tease involving his younger sister. Jace discusses how the funeral scene complicates Torment's family dynamic, whether the issue turns him from a mysterious horror figure into a more tragic character, and how the added explanation both deepens the villain and strips away some of his mystique. There is also plenty of discussion about the moody art, the psychological horror tone, the unanswered questions about Torment's physical abilities, and whether Body Count was necessary as an epilogue to Death Spiral.
Scary Stories for the Soul presents, “Torment at Cachtice," an original horror story about Katarina Papp, girl who was led to Elizabeth Bathory's castle under false pretenses and endured indescribable pain.

Ben Ennis and Brent Gunning open Wednesday by celebrating the Maple Leafs' first overall pick in the 2026 NHL Draft! They discuss how the pick could impact the team's direction, whether to keep or trade the pick, what kind of return would justify moving it, and potential draft options like Gavin McKenna or Ivar Stenberg. How will the decision affect Auston Matthews' future? After the break, they shift to the Blue Jays' continued struggles in Tampa Bay following yesterday's 4-3 loss. They touch on Brandon Valenzuela's performance, the team's use of challenges, the importance of Alejandro Kirk's return, and Kazuma Okamoto's impressive adjustments and Rookie of the Year potential. In this episode of STRAT with retired Marine Intelligence Officer Hal Kempfer, we examine Iran's deepening crisis as mounting economic pressure, internal power struggles, and external military threats converge. The consolidation of authority by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has intensified ideological rigidity, complicating any path toward diplomacy. With hardline leadership shaping both strategic and tactical decisions, Iran's nuclear ambitions, regional proxy networks, and control of the Strait of Hormuz remain central to its identity and leverage. Meanwhile, a U.S. naval blockade and the potential resumption of coordinated strikes with Israel are pushing the regime toward a breaking point. As hyperinflation surges and oil exports stall, Iran faces a looming economic catastrophe that could irreversibly damage its future. This episode explores whether the regime can endure mounting internal dissent and external pressure—or if the coming days will determine its survival in an increasingly volatile geopolitical landscape.Takeaways:Iran's regime is facing a genuine existential crisisIRGC consolidation has worsened internal instabilityHardline leadership limits chances for meaningful negotiationIran's nuclear ambitions remain central to regime identityControl of the Strait of Hormuz is critical leverageEconomic collapse is accelerating due to sanctions and blockadeU.S. strategy presents a choice between patience or escalationUpcoming developments may determine regime survival#STRATPodcast #HalKempfer #MutualBroadcastingSystem #StrategicRiskAnalysis #IranCrisis #MiddleEastConflict #Geopolitics #IRGC #GlobalSecurity #OilMarkets #StraitOfHormuz #USForeignPolicy #EconomicSanctions #WorldEvents #DefenseAnalysis #MilitaryStrategy #InternationalRelations #BreakingNews #SecurityStudies #RiskAssessment
Dave returns to Derry & Toms to conclude our coverage of the 1973 Karl Edward Wagner anthology Death Angel's Shadow, featuring his anti-hero Kane. Some great stuff in here, but some rough stuff too, with references to sexual assault, so please beware that we will discuss it in both the original context, as we see it, and that of a modern reader. Two stories round out our journey with this Kane book, Cold Light and Mirage. I live in Berlin, and something very cool is happening here right now - the film collective Zelluloid42 has been programming film events that this town has sorely needed. In the spirit of the German "Bahnhofskino" (a grindhouse cinema located in or next to a train station, very popular in the 70s and 80s), Zelluloid42 gleefully shows exploitation, horror, and other wonderfully strange obscurities in 16mm & 35mm. I spoke with two collective members, Audrey and Tarek, about their work, German attitudes towards their own film heritage, what's next for them, and a whole lot more!Show Notes:Zelluloid 42Zelluloid 42 InstagramTarek's LetterboxdAudrey's LetterboxdFilmrauschpalast CinemaThe Evil Dead (1981)The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974)Cannibal Holocaust (1980)Vampyros Lesbos (1971)Female Prisoner #701: Scorpion (1972)ZeughauskinoDouglas SirkLumiere Film Festival in LyonIl Cinema Ritrovato Vinegar SyndromeSamm Deighan's PatreonBFIDuck, You Sucker! Every human being has been created for eternity and is either going to heaven or hell.
I HAVE TO TELL PEOPLE ABOUT THE TERROR AND TORMENT OF HELL I EXPERIENCED!
Nearly 90% of Americans say faith plays a role in reducing relapse from addiction (Journal of Religion and Health), and research from the National Library of Medicine shows that approximately 75% of people who experience substance use disorders eventually recover. But what actually creates lasting freedom? This week's episode dives into that question with Erik Frederickson—biblical life coach, best-selling author of Recovering Reality — Freedom from the Torment of Addiction, and founder of Recovering Reality. With 17 years of personal freedom and over 7,000 hours spent coaching people from all walks of life, Erik brings both lived experience and deep insight into what truly drives transformation. His perspective challenges the conventional approach: addiction isn't just a behavior problem—it's an identity problem. In this powerful conversation, Erik shares his own story of being trapped in addiction despite doing everything “right,” and how a life-altering encounter with God changed everything. Not through more discipline or better systems—but through confronting the lies he believed about himself and discovering truth at a deeper level. Now, after helping hundreds of people find breakthrough, his message remains the same: sobriety isn't the finish line. Real freedom comes when the underlying beliefs, wounds, and identity driving the addiction are finally addressed. If you're looking for more than surface-level solutions—and want to understand why faith continues to be such a powerful force in recovery—this episode offers a perspective that is both grounded in research and lived out in real life. On today's Bible Answer Man broadcast (04/10/26), Hank picks up his overview of the days of Holy Week, arriving at Holy Friday, the day a united Church is brought face-to-face with the fatal torment of Jesus Christ. A torment that began in the garden of Gethsemane following the emotional Last Supper of Holy Thursday. That night, Jesus was betrayed by Judas, disowned by Peter, and arrested by the temple guard. Before Caiaphas the high priest, he was mocked, beaten, and spat upon. The next morning, Jesus—battered, bruised, and bleeding—was stripped and subjected to the brutality of Roman flogging, reducing his body to quivering ribbons of bleeding flesh. As Christ slumped into the pool of his own blood, soldiers threw a scarlet robe across his shoulders, thrust a scepter into his hands, and pressed sharp thorns into his scalp. After they mocked him, they took the scepter and repeatedly struck him on the head. A heavy wooden beam was thrust upon his bleeding body, and he was led away to a place called Golgotha. There, the Lord of Glory experienced ultimate physical torture in the form of the cross.Today, as we remember the passion of Christ upon the cross, as we recall his dying words, “Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit,” we are reminded that we, too, will breathe our last. Whether we are old or young, rich or poor, male or female, we light the sky for the briefest of moments. And then eternity. In the meantime, what we do today will have direct consequences for all eternity. Thus, while the culture seeks to focus your gaze on greatness, Christ rightly focuses your gaze on grace and godliness.

Send us Fan MailIn this week's episode 344 of the Fragmented to Whole Podcast, I'm sharing how internal boundaries help you stop the exhausting cycle of emotional over-responsibility and the urge to fix everyone around you. This episode was inspired by powerful feedback from a listener and a member of my coaching community. Both stories point to a common pattern many people experience: when someone around them is struggling, their nervous system instantly jumps into fixing mode. But true boundary work isn't just about what you say to others. It's about what changes inside you. Some of the talking points I go over in this episode include:• Why many people feel an urgent need to fix other people's emotional struggles, especially if they grew up in chaotic or unpredictable environments.• How the simple skill of pausing helps interrupt automatic reactions and creates space for healthier responses.• Why learning that other people's chaos is not danger is a foundational shift for your nervous system.• How internal boundaries strengthen your emotional “container” so other people's feelings don't spill into your inner world.• A powerful question that helps you recognize when you've slipped into rescue mode: Who is more invested in solving this situation? When your internal boundaries grow stronger, something important changes. You can stay present and compassionate without absorbing responsibility for someone else's emotions or problems. You learn that caring about someone doesn't require rescuing them. You can remain connected to others while staying anchored in yourself.Be sure to tune in to all the episodes to receive tons of practical tips on living a more whole life and to hear even more about the points outlined above.Thank you for listening! This Episode of the Metal Maniacs Podcast goes full blast as hosts Jay Ingersoll and Modd sit down with one of the most prolific drummers in extreme metal history — Marco Pitruzzella, better known as Lord Marco. You've seen the meme. You've heard the legend. “Death Metal Dad – I play drums in over 4,000 death metal bands. ”But behind the joke is a drummer who has recorded drums on more than 700 songs, toured the world, and helped define modern technical death metal, brutal death metal, slam, grind, and extreme metal drumming. In this episode, we dig deep into Marco's insane journey:What first pulled him into metal and extreme music. Why extreme drumming became his obsession. His early days with Vörnagar and the Bleeding Holocaust EP. Touring 26 countries / 52 shows across Europe with Vital Remains. His genre-defining work with Braindrill (Parasites, Apocalyptic Feasting – Metal Blade Records)Touring with The Faceless and releasing the infamous Lord of the Blast instructional DVDDrum & bass death metal madness with I Came to HateSession work explosion with Anomalous, Neurogenic, Gurglectomy, Defleshed Gutted, ABUSE, Raped by Pigs, and moreTouring and recording with Six Feet Under, including Torment, Nightmares of the Decomposed, and Killing for RevengeDrumming for Rings of Saturn, Waking the Cadaver, Sleep Terror, and beyondHow session work changed his life — and how it all keeps coming full circleWe also talk about how Jay first discovered Marco through YouTube, Braindrill, and extreme metal rabbit holes, the discipline it takes to maintain this level of output, and what's next with Xelmactha, Wrath of Logarius, and future chaos. This is not just an interview — it's a history lesson in extreme metal drumming.
Two different families moved into the same rural farmhouse years apart, never spoke to each other, and both reported the same three-foot creature lurking near the barn. | #WDRadioWEEK OF November 17-23, 2024==========HOUR ONE: Did she drown? Did she commit suicide? Despite her death in 1889, we still don't know how Maggie Hourigan died. (The Mystery of Maggie Hourigan) *** In 1958 Gavin Gibbons wrote a children's science-fiction novel By Space Ship to the Moon, which featured a UFO landing on Moel Sych in the Berwyn Mountains of North Wales. Sixteen years later, in a surreal case of life imitating art, those very same mountains would again be the focus for a story involving a downed UFO. But this time, some said, the story was for real. One of the quietest spots in Fort Worth, the island is home to egrets and owls, perhaps an alligator or two. And maybe, just maybe, the Lake Worth Monster. (The Lake Worth Monster) *** In 2017, Washington State Senator Karen Keiser was quoted as saying, “The incidents continue, they continue, and we have to consider that there is potential cosmic life over the island… it's a very special place, with a cosmic presence.” What exactly happened on Maurey Island in 1947? The Silent Battle For Your Mind: Torment | The Todd Coconato Show Website: www.PastorTodd.org To give: www.ToddCoconato.com/give Today on The Todd Coconato Show Title: The Silent War in Your Mind: Torment There is a battle many believers face that nobody sees. It is not always external persecution or visible opposition. It is the silent war in the mind. Fear. Accusation. Intrusive thoughts. Condemnation. Mental torment that tries to wear down faith and rob peace. On today's broadcast, we are exposing this strategy of the enemy and confronting it with the Word of God. We are going to talk about how torment operates, why the battlefield is often the thought life, and how Scripture gives us clear authority to defeat it. The Bible says we are to take every thought captive, that we have been given a sound mind, and that the One who lives in us is greater than the one who is in the world. That is not theory. That is truth you can stand on. If you have ever felt like you are fighting a battle internally that nobody understands, this show is for you. You are not alone. You are not weak. And you are not without authority. Today we are stepping into clarity, power, and freedom as we learn how to enforce the victory Christ has already won.

Dave is back in Derry & Toms as we finally turn our attention to Karl Edward Wagner and his towering dark fantasy anti-hero... Kane! We've been talking about doing some KEW for a while now, so what better time than a grim, miserable Yorkshire winter to tackle a chilly werewolf whodunnit. The story, Reflections for the Winter of My Soul, is the first of three in the collection Death Angel's Shadow, and we'll be back at some point in the future to look at the other two. As KEW also wrote an Elric/Kane crossover story called The Gothic Touch, we took a look at that too. Dave's band SÖNUS will release the first single from their new album on 14th February - Pagan Woman - and in the meantime you can join the countdown to the video and pre-save the single. New album Planes of Torment will follow in May and we'll keep you up to date on that too.

We're live with former FBI Special Agent Jennifer Coffindaffer to examine the behavioral psychology behind the alleged murder of Monique Tepe and her husband Spencer by Dr. Michael McKee. This wasn't a crime of passion. Police say McKee drove 300 miles from Chicago to Columbus in the middle of the night — eight years after a marriage that lasted seven months. Monique did everything right. She got out quickly. She didn't fight over the house or the assets. She let him keep the rings, then paid him back with interest when he demanded it. She moved home to Ohio, rebuilt her life, fell in love again, got married, had two children. Her family says she never spoke his name after the divorce. Only called him "her ex-husband." They say she described emotional abuse. Torment. That she was always worried. Coffindaffer joins us live to explain what she calls "deep-seated resentment and hate that just built up" — the behavioral profile of a grievance collector who holds onto anger for years, sometimes decades. We examine how control dynamics in the divorce proceedings reveal patterns of ownership and entitlement, how watching an ex build a new life and family can escalate obsessive attachment, and why the system repeatedly fails to protect people when there's no paper trail of prior reports. Monique's family says they knew from day one. They suspected McKee immediately but stayed quiet to protect the investigation. What does it mean when families know — when they've known for years — but the system can't act until someone is dead? Join us live to ask your questions and learn the warning signs that someone may never let go.#MoniqueTepe #MichaelMcKee #TepeMurders #HiddenKillersLive #JenniferCoffindaffer #DomesticViolence #GrievanceCollector #TrueCrimeLive #FBIBehavioralAnalysis #LiveStreamJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Welcome to the place where we get to let our geek flags fly and talk about all things geek. Basically a fuzzy guide to life, the universe, and everything but mostly geek stuff. You'd think after doing 34+ episodes talking Star Wars, we'd find it hard to chat for over an hour with no more plans than discussing The Force Awakens after a decade of existence, but you'd be wrong. We chat about that, Star Wars Galaxy's Edge news, video games, content coming in 2026, and more. For anyone curious, all the previous episodes are listed below. White - Venom Unleashed #15 uncut!Let's dig into our two poll questions. The first was:Jordan hinted that one moment in Death Spiral has been locked in since the very beginning of planning the event. What are you most excited to see when that moment arrives?A whopping 40% said they'd like to see a major MJ's symbiote relationship (30.8% said a big Eddie vs. Carnage throwdown). Given how strongly readers responded to the idea of Mary Jane's symbiote journey, what was it about pairing MJ with a symbiote that felt essential to Death Spiral, and how early did that relationship start shaping the story?AIPT: For the second poll, we asked:Jordan suggests MJ might be shifting from “anti-hero” to something else entirely. What do YOU think her 2026 role will look like?Over 50% of the answers said they want something they haven't even guessed yet (second place was a full street-level hero arc with 32%). Might they be on the right track? AIPT: Venom #253 is out now (January 7th), and with it's a whole new ballgame with AIM. Madame Masque is a character not often used, at least in the last decade. Might you have a favorite story she's kicked butt in?AIPT: And for our monthly gotcha question: What's a better TV show, Buddies or Friends?Onto fan questions:Spencer asks: What can you tell us about Torment? One more about Torment from Patrick: Was the name of Death Spiral's villain, Torment, inspired by the Todd McFarlane story, or is it a coincidence that the name has a history with Spider-Man?Ol' Monster-Face asks: Last time you got asked about taking the story in a space opera direction… What about a Wild West theme? "Death Spiral" does look like it could set up a classic "The Good The Bad And The Ugly" standoff…Barrett asks: With two big Spider / Symbiote events coming up very soon will the main ASM book and Venom books both be tie-ins for the foreseeable future?Anonomous asks: Will Dylan and Sleeper be an important role in Death Spiral? They are related to both Eddie and the Venom symbiote after all.Murphy asks: Did you look at any prior stories when writing the Rick Jones and Toxin bond? It reminds me of the relationship he had with Genis, especially when he went off the rails.Garlador asks: As a repository of host memories, Venom is uniquely aware of many characters current conflicted feelings - Peter, MJ, Eddie, Dylan, Flash, etc. That's been an off-limits locked box issue with MJ, but can we expect to see Venom share more of prior hosts' buried feelings with her soon, or is that too messy for now?RadiantBlue asks: Which Venom host is your favorite?Midnighter82 asks: Symbie, Spider-Man's symbiote companion in his galactic adventure, is he bound to a host or not? Jimmy has a food and calories question: So, what is it like for Mary Jane in her daily life? The symbiote probably weighs at least twice her weight and leaves a bunch of goop all over after fights, so presumably that would be lots more food than she would be used to having.Anonomous asks: Its kinda frustrating seeing VENOM everywhere and no Carnage. If you could would you tackle a carnageverse? Besides the Anne Lethal Protector universe, are there worlds where carnage is an anti-hero? Jeduwin asks: As a fan of Eventuality, how much is it kept in mind when you're writing Eddie Brock? Its existence seems like it shifts where Eddie's stories are headed, since all roads lead to the King in Black.Another Flash question from Symbiobro: In All-New Venom #10, we got to see a deep dive into both MJ's and the symbiotes relationship with Eddie, but Flash Thompson also played a big role in both these people's lives. Can we expect a similar delve into how he helped shape the symbiote into what it is today?
In hour 3, Bonta, Shasky and Spadoni discuss the concern that the Eagles may give the 49ers serious trouble.
Xi Jinping's Exile and Family Betrayal. Joseph Turigian describes how political torment extended to Xi Zhongxun's family, forcing Xi Jinping's mother to denounce her teenage son when he fled incarceration, a difficult moral judgment made to protect the remaining siblings. During the Cultural Revolution, Xi Jinping was exiled to the countryside near Yanan, a sacred site of Chinese Communist Party history. This mass "sending down" of youth was intended to toughen them up and instill revolutionary spirit, becoming a deeply formative experience for Xi Jinping. Xi Zhongxun spent years in prison writing unanswered, plaintive letters seeking relief and reconsideration from the leadership. Guest: Joseph Turigian. 906 PEKING
