Host John Lund is joined by Mark Blankenbaker, he's the co-founder of The CrunchZone.com which covers all things Louisville sports and co-host of the Deener Show with Drew Deener on ESPN Louisville, Monday through Friday from 7 to 10 a.m. Eastern Time. He's also on Twitter @UofLSheriff50 and a great follow to keep up with what's going on with the Cards. We'll talk about his trip to Miami to watch the Cards upset the Canes and some trash talk with Miami fans, how he got into covering Louisville full-time, what finally came together against Miami, what Chris Bell means to the offense, how to keep winning like that, if Jeff Brohm is leaving Louisville for another gig, optimism around Louisville hoops and the absolute horror of recruiting a player from the G League. Also, a deeper dive into what to expect from Boston College and what the Cards need to do to beat the Eagles in the Battle of the Birds. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Host John Lund reacts to sound from head coach Jeff Brohm on Louisville's historic upset at No. 2 Miami, check in on how the rest of the ACC fared in Week 8 and see what the boys in Vegas think about the conference. Coach Brohm reflects on the win, how the offensive line played, great games from Miller Moss, Chris Bell and Trevonte Sylvester and the O-Line, what went into calling the fake field goal and added wrinkles to the playcalling, and more. Duke and Washington State did the Cardinals no favors in losing to Georgia Tech and Virginia, but the Cards are still in the hunt to make the ACC championship game (and College Football Playoff) after the dust settled from the weekend. And, we award one lucky UofL player with the Bleav In Louisville Game Ball for Week 8, shinier and firmier than the other game balls. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Host John Lund recaps Louisville's 24-21 upset at No. 2 Miami in Week 8 on Friday night. Highlights of the highs and lows in the "Swells for UofL" and "Unwells for UofL," big plays and game-changing moments, stats for the nerds, and hope still alive to win an ACC Championship. In one of the biggest wins in program history over the last many years, we had Wildcat formations and fake field goals in the first quarter, a staunch rushing attack (finally) against one of college football's best defenses, four interceptions from the Louisville defense, another Chris Bell masterpiece, garbage penalties that could have swung the game, all while on the national stage. Crazy things happen in college football on Friday nights. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Host John Lund is joined by Mark Ennis from 93.3 The Ville to chat about his career and preview Louisville's Week 8 matchup at Miami. Mark is the host of The Drive on 93.9 The Ville, Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. We'll get into how he got started in radio by just tweeting too much back in the heydey of college message boards and blogs, what's gone wrong and right for the Cardinals to this point in the season, including Jeff Brohm, Miller Moss, the offensive line, running game and defense. We'll try to figure out a way for Louisville to upset Miami, talk about the optimism surrounding Louisville men's hoops, and not one but two of his best interviews ever done on radio, Mike Leach and Bill Walton. Also, some stats comparing both teams and numbers trends that lean toward Louisville! (at least covering the spread). Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Host John Lund previews Louisville's Week 8 matchup at unbeaten No. 2 Miami this Friday night, along with sound from head coach Jeff Brohm's press conference and radio show. Some updates on the health status of the running back room, using the bye week to work on improving the offensive line and offense overall, how to attack the Miami defense and how Louisville's defense matches up againt Heisman leader Carson Beck, what the Cards can do to pull off the upset, and more. And, some early preseason rankings for all you hoop heads out there, as the men's basketball team is No. 11 in the AP Top 25 preseason poll. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Host John Lund takes a look at how the rest of ACC football fared in Week 6 and what the boys in Vegas think about the conference, as well as what the other Cardinals fall sports teams have been up to across the league. To no surprise, Miami is now heavily favored to win the ACC in football and is an early 13.5 favorite over visiting Louisville this Friday night. Highlights in fall sports include a sweep in women's volleyball, a tough loss in field hockey, a draw in women's soccer, a road trip coming for men's soccer, Athlete of the Week honors in men's cross country and swimming, and retiring Ulysses "Junior" Bridgeman's number in men's basketball. Host John Lund recaps Louisville's devastating 30-27 overtime loss to visiting No. 24 Virginia in Week 6 on Saturday. Highlights of the highs and lows, big plays and game changing moments, and sound from head coach Jeff Brohm's post game press conference help make sense of it all. The Cardinals outgained Virginia's top five offense in the country by 180 yards in the air and almost 150 overall, and lost the game. Virginia had 10 possessions in regulation and scored on just two of them, and still won the game. Louisville senior Chris Bell had 12 catches for 170 yards and scored one more touchdown than Virginia did, and still lost the game. Four plays highlight this game's Unwells for UofL: the scoop and score and Pick-Six, the missed field goal to end the first half, and a 3rd and 20 that didn't actually have to happen and resulted in UVA's lone offensive touchdown. Louisville now falls to 4-1 overall and 1-1 in the ACC, basically needing to win-out or have a lot of help along the way to make it to the ACC championship game, with Miami the first opponent on deck after another bye week. Game notes include a terrifying first quarter, Lady Luck benefitting special teams, a two-minute drill that brought more terror, great second half defense and third down stops, and a welcome to the Louisville Cardinals moment in the fourth quarter for Miller Moss. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Plus, coach Brohm provides some updates on the Cardinals injuries, the impact of Lacy and quarterback Miller Moss, how the offensive line played, what he's learned about the team through three games, and... Is this the most complete team he's had at Louisville? Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

That included more than 30 Final Fours, including three Louisville national championships, 15 Super Bowls, 11 World Series, one NBA Finals and three summer Olympics, just to name a few. Louisville's men's soccer team, now ranked No. 6 in the country, remains unbeaten on the season and still hasn't allowed a goal after upsetting No. 1 Stanford last Friday and blanking Ohio State 1-0 on Tuesday for their fifth win. Women's soccer is now 7-1 after closing out its six-game homestand unbeaten with another shoutout, taking down Dayton 2-0 on Sunday night. In women's volleyball, Louisville was on the national stage on Wednesday night on ESPN in a clash of Top Ten teams as the No. 4 Cardinals played the No. 2 ranked Texas Longhorns at the Shriners Children's Showdown in Fort Worth, Texas. What a clash it was, lasting all five sets with Texas making a comeback in the final set to win by two and take the match, 3-2, handing the Cards their first loss of the season. In field hockey at Indiana on Sunday, Louisville used goals from five different players to pick up a 5-4 win, improving to 3-1 on the season. Men's tennis will host the Louisville Invitational for the second year in a row starting this Friday and running through Sunday, September 14. And, the men's basketball conference schedule was announced, check it out on somewhere on the ol' internet. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Host John Lund recaps how ACC football fared in Week 2 and more from the Cards 28-14 win over James Madison last Friday night, including some sound from a fellow Bleav Network podcast hosted by two former JMU players as part of Bleav's JMU Sports News Network, To The House. If you missed our full recap of Friday night's win against JMU you can check out the last episode from Friday night. For this week, a look at how Louisville fared against the Dukes and how ACC football managed in Week 2. Game Notes include major storylines that showed up during the James Madison game, including playing two quarterbacks, what the James Madison offense did wrong and what the Cards' defense did right. Included in commentary is James Madison legends Delvin Joyce and Vad Lee is part of the To The House show, part of the JMU Sports News Network. Joyce walked on at James Madison in 1997 and played runningback there until 2000, eventually getting selected into their Athletics Hall of Fame in 2014. He was the first player in Division 1-AA and second in all of Division 1 to reach 1,000 career yards in all four statistical categories of rushing, receiving, punt returns and kickoff returns. Vad Lee was a dual-threat quarterback who transfer from Georgia Tech and played for James Madison in 2014 and 2015. He was the first back-to-back winner of the Bill Dudley Award, which honors the state's best Division 1 player for both FBS and FCS, that state being Virginia. He was also the two-time Male Student Athlete of the Year for JMU and tied the school record for all-time passing touchdowns with 51, despite starting just 21 games, and is second all-time in total offense and third in passing yards and completions. All that to say, the guys know a thing or two about James Madison football and do a great job. What's the latest of Louisville in the AP Top 25 poll? And, how did Louisville fare after Week 2 overall with the boys in Vegas? Depending on your Cardinals bets, the lines may have changed in your favor.

Host John Lund gives a rapid Friday night reaction of Louisville's 28-14 home win over James Madison in Week 2, one of those PHEW kinds of victories. A recap of how the game went down, a breakdown some of the key plays and players and a listen back to what Louisville head coach Jeff Brohm and James Madison head coach Bob Chesney had to say about the game in their postgame press conferences. And, more importantly, who covered?

Host John Lund gives a preview of Friday night's Week 2 home game against Sun Belt champion hopeful James Madison, kickoff set for 7ET. Game notes include a look at how the Dukes fared last week, a breakdown of the offense and defense, some key players to watch, and we'll hear back from Louisville head coach Jeff Brohm at his press conference earlier in the week about the matchup against the Dukes before an early bye week. The TL;DR, don't commit 106 yards worth of penalties, win the turnover battle by not throwing three interceptions and control the line of scrimmage on both sides. Easy peasy right? And, more importantly, who covers?

Host John Lund recaps how ACC football fared in Week 1, including huge wins for the conference from Florida State and Miami, where teams stand in the AP Top 25 poll heading into Week 2 and an update on Louisville's odds in Vegas. Also some game notes from the rest of Louisville's fall sports, with the Cardinals volleyball and field hockey teams opening their seasons unbeaten, women's soccer having the best offense in the country across several categories, men's soccer not allowing a goal over three games and women's basketball getting its conference schedule for the 2025-26 season.

Host John Lund talks to Howard Stevens, a member of the Louisville Athletics Hall of Fame, who played under head coach Lee Corso back in 1971 and 1972 before a five-year NFL career. Topics include how he got into playing football as one of the first black students to integrate into Harrisonburg High School in Virginia back in 1964, playing for the lone school that seriously recruited him at Division III Randolph-Macon College and leading the nation in rushing as a freshman, why he left for Louisville after two years and his playing days and relationship with Lee Corso, success with the Cardinals, getting drafted in the 16th(!) round into the NFL as one of the shortest players in league history and playing behind Archie Manning as part of his five-year career for the Saints and Colts, life after football, meeting his now wife and a philosophy of whenever life gives you a chance, making it count. He rushed for more than 5,000 yards in his four-year collegiate career, which at the time set the record for rushing in all divisions of college football. But more important than his stats or individual accolades like having his number retired or Hall of Fame inductions for high school and both colleges among others, what mattered most was his team winning football games, and that they did. In four years of college football, Howard Stevens only lost five games, one of which still sticks with him to this day. It was a playing career and life well lived, and certainly still is now each and every day.

Host John Lund recaps Louisville's 51-17 win over Eastern Kentucky in the season and home opener on Saturday, August 30. Game summary includes the key plays and drives, showcases of some of the best individual performances, clips from head coach Jeff Brohm's postgame press conference and more. Quarterback Miller Moss dazzled in his Cardinals debut, runningback Isaac Brown added his resume for best runningback in the ACC and the Louisville defense did its job. Penalties, however, left a sour taste in the mouth and will be something to improve on for Week 2. We also shoutout Taylor Swift's Six Degrees of Seperation to Louisville, and offer a goodbye to a college football legend - and one of Louisville's own from many years ago - Lee Corso.

Host John Lund offers an in-depth preview of Louisville's season and home opener against Eastern Kentucky on Saturday, August 30. Game notes include how the Colonels fared last season, important players lost to graduation or the transfer portal, key players returning and new players expected to make an impact on offense, defense and special teams. Who wins the game, and more importantly, who covers? You can follow John on Twitter @lundinbridge and also watch his other college football show Coast To Coast College Football on Youtube or listen on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

Host John Lund previews the 2025 Louisville football schedule with brief descriptions and key players for each team, then offers his predictions for how the season will play out for the Cardinals. And, discussions are in the works to get Louisville basketball's 2013 national championship banner put back in its rightful place.

Host John Lund takes a deep dive into the 2025 Louisville football team, including the coaching staff and the offense and defense, while highlighting players expected to make an impact this season. How will transfer quarterback Miller Moss look in head coach Jeff Brohm's offense? Just how strong are the Cardinals running game and receiving core, and will either end up as one of the top units in the ACC? Can the defense fill some holes and make the necessary improvements after disappointing at times last year? And, some recognition for the latest inductees into the Louisville Athletics Hall of Fame, including football legend Stefan LeFors.

John Lund is the new host for Bleav In Louisville and opens the show with a description of himself, from his favorite sports teams growing up to why he's now covering the Louisville Cardinals and his ties to the ACC. Then a summary of Louisville football, from what happened in 2024, preseason expectations coming into the season and what the sports books think of the Cardinals for this year.

We start this episode focused solely on Kasean Pryor and the expected impact for Louisville Men's basketball team in 2025-26 season. I then dive into Tyran Stokes and his scheduled visit to Kentucky. Stokes a Louisville native that visited the Cards officially way back in October. I let it be known that Stokes intends to stay in the class of 2026 and could make his college decision before the start of his senior season.

Louisville basketball is currently rolling under Coach Pat Kelsey both on and off the court. This isn't stopping Kelsey from doing everything he can to continue to make this program even better. One way to do that is with 5-star Virginia native Nate Ament. Ament has teamed up with company Fanstake that is changing the way fans can impact players through NIL. I breakdown how Cards fans are doing everything in their power to help Coach Kelsey and crew land the top remaining prospect in the country.

During this episode Jeff starts by analyzing NSD 2024 for the Louisville Cardinals. The Cards finished with their recruiting class ranked outside the top 50 in the country and second to last in the ACC. To Lightsy this is simply unacceptable. We then go in on the entirety of the season that finished with two blowout wins over Pittsburgh & Kentucky. At the same time was still only 8-4. Lets talk about it.

On today's episode of the Cardinal Coverage Podcast we will talk about the firing of Kenny Payne and how that will affect the future of Cardinal basketball. While also looking at future replacements for Louisville Basketball. https://twitter.com/ccalebhall https://twitter.com/TheBigRedLouie
