Raised on a dairy farm in Vermont, Jennifer's journey took her from liberal arts studies to eventually earning a PhD in mathematics. UVA Football faces William & Mary, an FCS school, in Week 3, so, not as much need to get folks ready. This allows us to take the mid-week to review the disappointing 35-31 loss at NC State in Week 2. It was disappointing because, in a lot of ways, the ‘Hoos did everything but win that game. Today's postmortem grades the offense, defense and special teams.

Almost from the day she arrived on Grounds in 2020, Laney Rouse has been a defensive pillar for the Virginia women's soccer team. Now pursuing a master's degree in the UVA School of Medicine, Laney has helped the Hoos get off to a strong start this season.

NC State once again needed a fourth-quarter stop to seal a home win, but got just that with Cian Slone's interception in a 35-31 win over Virginia. The Wolfpack notched five total touchdowns with CJ Bailey accounting for three -- two on the ground, one to Noah Rogers -- while Hollywood Smothers had the other two on the ground.
