On this Freedom Friday, we wrapped up our weekly theme, “Back to School,” with a few professors and staff members from Moody Bible Institute (MBI). First, we were joined by Dr. John Mabus to discuss healthy spiritual formation. Dr. Mabus is an Associate Professor of Applied Theology and Church Ministries at MBI. For the past 14 years, Dr. Mabus served as a Navy Chaplain, sharing the gospel and caring for people in the context of military life. He also has professional interests in spiritual formation and discipleship, reformation practices in pastoral care and discipleship, suicide prevention and intervention, and leadership advisement and coaching. Then, we were joined by Kelli Worrall to discuss the significance of communication in the Bible. Kelli is a Professor of Communications at MBI and the Field Chair for the Music and Media Arts Division. She is also the author of “20 Things We’d Tell Our Twentysomethings Selves.”Then we had Dr. Mikel Del Rosario join us to discuss the legitimacy of the New Testament Bible manuscripts, despite the differences in their wording. Dr. Del Rosario currently teaches apologetics, philosophy, ethics, and Bible as a Professor of Bible and Theology at MBI. Before coming to Moody, he taught Apologetics classes at Jessup University in California. He has a passion for helping Christians find clear answers to tough questions about Christianity and explaining their faith with courage and compassion. Then we had Dr. Mary Hendrickson join us to discuss how our personalities can affect the way we read the Bible. Dr. Hendrickson is an Assistant Professor of Human Services and Pre-Counseling at MBI. She serves in the Counseling Psychology and Educational Ministries department. We then discussed the importance of “girding up the loins” of our minds, meaning having a sober mind and being alert for whatever comes. This is affirmed in Scripture in Exodus 12:11 and 1 Peter 1:13. You can hear the highlights of today's program on the Karl and Crew Showcast. If you're looking to hear a particular segment from the show, look at the following time stamps: Dr. John Mabus Interview (3 Ingredients to Healthy Spirtual Formation) [03:51] Dr. Mike Del Rosariol Interview ( Difference in Biblical Translation Wording) [16:47 ] Dr. Mary Hendrickson (How Our Personality Affects the Way We Read The Bible) [ 35:19] Gird Your Loins Devotion [56:08] Kelli Worrall Interview (Communication in the Bible) [01:05:44 ] The Gospel [ 01:18:04 ] Karl and Crew airs live weekday mornings from 5-9 a.m. Central Time. Friends of the Rosary,Among today's readings, St. Paul encourages the Thessalonians (Thessalonians 1:1-5, 8b-10) to give thanks to God and live within the grace and peace of the Father and the Son, Jesus Christ, "unceasingly calling to mind your work of faith and labor of love and endurance in hope of our Lord Jesus Christ," and "knowing, brothers and sisters loved by God, how you were chosen."Paul explains, "For our Gospel did not come to you in word alone, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with much conviction."He encourages the faithful, "to serve the living and true God and to await his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus, who delivers us from the coming wrath."Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New York—Family in Christ,Yesterday, August 24, 2025, Rosario Blanca Amigot was born in New York City. Boyd and Josh were joined by Alan Alger to reflect on an opening day victory at Old Trafford as Arsenal secured yet another 1-0 away win at the theatre of dreams. It most certainly wasn't pretty as Arsenal secured all 3 points whilst not playing at their very best. We discuss an opening hour for Gyökeres and an inspired day for David Raya, on a quiet afternoon for most of our team. Ultimately, a hugely important opening day victory as the Gunners get off to the perfect start in the new Premier League season. arsenalpodcast.net @arsenalpodcast Produced by Josh Landy Engineered by Leon Gorman A Playback Media Production playbackmedia.co.uk Copyright 2025 Playback Media Ltd - playbackmedia.co.uk/copyright Learn more about your ad choices. Follow Mike L on Truth Social: https://truthsocial.com/@mikeLaL In this fascinating episode of The Mel K Show, I welcome back my great friend Mike LaLond. It has been a while since we have had him on, but he has been busy working behind the scenes and is finally back to share what he has been uncovering. Our discussion dives into one of our most talked about topics, the Smithsonian Institution, and why it is much more than a simple collection of museums. Many have heard recent reports that President Trump plans to take a closer look at the Smithsonian. The mainstream narrative says it is about addressing politically driven changes in exhibits, but as Mike and I discuss, the truth may run much deeper. For years, researchers have pointed out that the Smithsonian, NASA, and the Vatican hold vast amounts of hidden historical artifacts, knowledge, and discoveries. These are not just locked away for preservation. They are deliberately kept from the public. Mike explains how the Smithsonian operates almost as its own independent entity, with a budget approved by Congress but with little oversight. He describes the network of underground tunnels connecting their buildings in Washington, D.C., which allow for the quiet movement of artifacts. Far from the fictional world of Indiana Jones, this real world activity often involves the removal of items that could reshape our understanding of human history. We explore the possibility that this investigation could bring to light discoveries long buried in vaults and warehouses. Mike even shares his own wish that President Trump might “get the keys” to those vaults and allow the information to be released to the public. While we acknowledge that such transparency is rare, the moment we are living in is unpredictable and change can happen in unexpected ways. Our conversation also touches on the larger network of institutions that control the narrative of history, science, and culture. The Smithsonian is just one piece of a much bigger puzzle. We discuss how powerful organizations have the ability to decide what is remembered and what is erased, shaping collective knowledge and cultural identity. Here is what you will learn in this episode: The true scope of the Smithsonian's influence and operations How underground storage and tunnels are used to quietly move and secure artifacts The connection between the Smithsonian, NASA, and the Vatican in controlling historical narratives Why President Trump's potential inquiry could be a turning point for transparency How hidden discoveries could change our understanding of human history This is a conversation about curiosity, truth, and the importance of uncovering what has been kept from us. Mike LaLond's insights remind us that history is not just what we are taught. It is also what we are not allowed to see. By questioning, exploring, and demanding answers, we move closer to understanding the full story of our past.

In this powerful episode of What Are You Made Of?, Mike “C-Roc” sits down with Michelle Berman-Mikel, a relentless force in business and in life, to unpack the moments that have shaped her identity. Michelle opens up about the mindset of someone who's “a storm in human form,” born with a relentless nature that has driven her forward—but not without its consequences. With raw vulnerability, she shares how her deep desire for affirmation, especially from her father, led her into a toxic, emotionally and physically abusive five-year relationship that nearly cost her everything—including her life. She recounts the pain of calling off a wedding just 80 days out, discovering shocking betrayal, and navigating the emotional and financial fallout of that decision. Michelle also explores the struggles that came with losing her athletic identity after retiring from a lifelong swimming career, how her father's cancer diagnosis became the catalyst that led her to CrossFit, and how sports once again helped anchor her in a time of chaos. Her story is a testament to failing forward, owning your story, and reclaiming power through truth, healing, and accountability. This episode is a must-listen for anyone who's faced personal storms and come out the other side with more strength, clarity, and purpose.Website-bermanmediapd.com https://www.instagram.com/bermanmediasocial/?hl=en
