Damn, Movie!

Well, The Oscars certainly.....happened this year. And we were front and center to take in the chaos. Statistically, there is a great chance you did not watch The Oscars this year, luckily we are here to break the night down for you.

It's not a dinosaur's story, but We're Back! (for now).   COVID-19 put us on a pretty long hiatus, but we're here to check in and give an update on where things stand in the movie industry as well as highlight some bright spots in an otherwise uneventful 2020.   Streaming services, Drive Ins, and the potential death of conventional movie theatres, Oh My!        

A big "Congratulations" followed by an even bigger "How Dare You?" to friend of the podcast, Haley Oldham for winning our Oscar contest and making us watch Descendants 2. Haley is a nice girl and all, but this was a slight that will not go unpunished. Anyway, she's on this episode to gleefully poke fun at our misery.

Well, the Sonic The Hedgehog movie certainly happened and we are joined by local heartthrob Bryan Kravitz to talk about it,    

Well, the Oscars have come and gone, and wouldn't you know it? They were satisfying as all hell. We'll recap the bullet points for you. Also, our first proper review of the year comes to you thanks to Harley Quinn and The Birds of Prey.

Well, The "Big Game" has come and gone and left a multitude of new movie trailers in its torrential wake. Luckily you have friends like Tim and Rohan to wade through the wreckage and give you some hot takes. We end with a little pep talk to prepare us all for what is sure to be a disappointing Oscars telecast this Sunday.

The time has come! After one of the best years for movies in recent memory, Rohan and Tim have meticulously put their Top Ten lists together and are ready to share them with you. For whatever that is worth. 2019 really was a great year to be a movie fan. Laughs were had. Tears were shed. We all fell in love with Adam Brody all over again. Here's to 2020, which will almost certainly be disappointing in comparison. Note: Please excuse the less than stellar audio quality. Our special guest: The Radiator got a little chatty and will not be invited back to the podcast.

Local Star Wars Experts Gary Fields and Haley Oldham join us for this SUPER-SIZED episode to discuss Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Is It Good? Is J.J Abrams Responsible with The Franchise? Is Anyone Listening To Us? At least two of these questions and more will be answered in this manic round table discussion. Merry Christmas Everybody!

We watched this week's movies through tears, both from laughter and catharsis.  A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood and Jumanji: The Next Level are both welcome additions to the Holiday Movie Season. Only a few more movies to see before we put a button on our respective Top Ten lists. Also, the Golden Globe Nominations were revealed last week and we have some scintillating commentary on the matter.

Ford Vs. Ferrari. The best racing movie you will see this year without a doubt. Tim caught up with Rohan and finally got around to seeing James Mangold's ultimate dad movie. The episode ends with some discussion about The Irishman and a brief review of some major blockbuster trailers we have gotten in the past week.

Quick catchup after a well-deserved week off of the air. This week has everything: Zombieland: Double Tap, Parasite, and Jojo Rabbit. A disucssion about the reason controversey drummed up by some prolific directors claiming that "Superhero" moves are some how less than closes out the episode. Needless to say, it does not sit well with the two dudes who record a podcast next to a giant wall of comic books and MCU paraphernalia. We're really gearing up for awards season over the next few weeks, so hold on to your little butts.

October hasn't gotten much better, folks.   Lucy in The Sky and Gemini Man both disappoint, but El Camino is a beam of light in an otherwise dull movie season.   Plus, we finally answer the age-old question, "Are Two Will Smiths Better than One?"
