If we focus on turning things off at the right time, we will make a significant impact on our energy savings. I have done this many a time with organisations. One clear time I did that was with an organisation that had their building operating on a Saturday and a Sunday, and when I asked that question, do you work on a Saturday and Sunday, very quickly, the organisation said, No. However, we had identified that all the building was operating from Saturday through to Sunday. A significant amount of energy was being used, and it was very simple. We just turned it off! That provided the organisation with a 23% saving on their energy on an annual period, which is significant. Think! By turning it off, it not only impacted on the environment, but also the bottom line. Keep energy management simple. The simpler we keep energy management, the easier and faster we will start to make some significant savings going forward. Ryan Roxie is one of the world's greatest guitarists and performed on stage with the best. Known as a solo artist and singer/songwriter he is also recognised for his guitar work and collaborations with Alice Cooper, Casablanca and Slash's Snakepit. He tells everyone he was inspired to play the guitar by Keith – not Richards but Partridge. And David Cassidy played a key role in his successful career. He started working with Alice in 1996 and collaborated with him on several albums including Dirty Diamonds, The Eyes of Alice Cooper and Dragontown. He rejoined the band in 2012. Roxie spent 2 years recording with Slash's Snakepit Ain't Life Grand, but admits “in reality, I always wanted to be Keith Partridge”. Roxie is a huge fan of British Glam Rock with Sweet, T Rex, Mott the Hoople among his favourite groups. Thinking I had the upper hand I then clicked “Revert to original” so my photo would be unsullied by even this minute adjustment. I was blown away when my iPhone un-downloaded the photo! Having resigned myself to this +0.01 brilliance, I set about doing the rest, and that is when a slip of the mouse showed me something curious. Now all of the recalcitrant photos have had their brilliance sliders adjusted from the original 0.00 to… -0.00.
