The Appalachian Trail is an iconic hiking trail in the eastern United States that's said to be the longest in the world. In October of 2000, the remains of a Jane Doe were discovered on the shore of the Greater Salt Lake, nearby the Saltair Concert Hall and Resort, and just off of the Interstate 80 frontage road. Despite investigators attempting to identify the young woman quickly, there was no such luck, and she became known as the Saltair Sally. Until a technology advancement gave her name back in 2012.
