Vor wenigen Tagen, genauer gesagt am 10. Juni, ist mit Steven Spielbergs "Disclosure Day" endlich mal wieder ein großer Science-Fiction-Film in den deutschen Kinos angelaufen. Die im Vorfeld veröffentlichten Trailer waren recht kryptisch gehalten, weshalb unsere drei Spacejockeys vermuteten, dass es sich bei Spielbergs neuestem Streich um einen Invasionsfilm handeln könnte – schließlich hat der Mann bereits "Krieg der Welten" inszeniert. Aus diesem Grund haben sich Thomas, Jacko und DingDong dazu entschlossen, sich in den kommenden Folgen mehreren filmischen Alieninvasionen zu widmen. Den Anfang macht dabei "Edge of Tomorrow", ein Film aus dem Jahr 2014, der schicksalsträchtiges Kriegsgeschehen mit Zeitreiseelementen verbindet und unter anderem mit Tom Cruise, Emily Blunt und Brendan Gleeson hochkarätig besetzt ist. Und falls ihr wissen möchtet, worum es bei "Disclosure Day" tatsächlich geht oder ob der Film etwas taugt, so sei an dieser Stelle auf die auf Moviebreak zu findende Kritik unseres werten Kollegen Stu verwiesen. So oder so: viel Spaß!

Man hört es immer wieder: Fortsetzungen reichen niemals an das Original heran. Insbesondere wenn sich die Vorlage als schier übergroß präsentiert. So gesehen dürfte ein Film wie Blade Runner 2049, der – wie es der Titel bereits impliziert – das Sequel zum 1982 erschienenen Kultklassiker Blade Runner darstellt, ziemlich schlechte Karten haben. Gerade wenn man noch bedenkt, dass es mehr als 30 Jahre gedauert hat, bis die Fortsetzung überhaupt in Angriff genommen wurde. Aber ist dem wirklich so? Und was mögen wohl Jacko, Thomas und DingDong über den Film denken? Immerhin sind zumindest zwei von ihnen große Fans des Originals, weswegen sie tendenziell eher kritisch und schwer zufriedenzustellen sein dürften. Findet es heraus!

In March 2024, 22 year old Jack O'Sullivan disappeared after leaving a house party in Bristol following a night out with friends. After an apparent disagreement at the party where Jack may have sustained a head injury he was seen on CCTV walking close to the Cumberland Basin area before vanished without a trace. Jack's phone showed activity several hours after he was last captured on CCTV, this activity has not been explained.
