Short, fun dives into extraordinary topics. With a backing track of original music to set the scene; the listener is swept away on a brief entertaining tour of a story they most likely never heard before. At least, not in such a unique way. Paranormal, true crime, cryptids, history, all have a place at this strange table.

What if I told you, the universe your favorite TV shows exist in, are all connected? What could possibly tie together All in the Family, Arrested Development, Alf, Community, The Addam’s Family, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Dr Who, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and the X-files? No, it's not that Disney has bought the rights to them and refuses to pay royalties. Tho that list may be just as long.[8]In a special season finale of Strange Daze, Soulless is joined by his mom to break down the penultimate tv fan theory! Mama Samurai seemed an apt choice for a guest on the last episode since without her, this show would quite literally never have existed. But we didn’t sit down to discuss what a boring world THAT would be, no, we are gathered here today to break down the Tommy Westphall Universe. Leave your belief suspended at the door, and enter Strange Daze, for one final journey of discovery. 1. https://www.mentalfloss.com/article/500756/tommy-westphall-theory-unified-tv-universe-explained2. https://www.insider.com/why-same-fake-cigarette-brand-used-in-tv-movies-morley-2020-43. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Elsewhere4. April 25: Soulless and Sheri were in the Soulless Studios recording an episode he planned to title “Movie Curses”. One of the last movies discussed was “Antrum”, a supposedly cursed movie that befell anyone who watched it. “Wanna watch that tonight?”, Soulless jokes. April 26, 11:32pm: A pink supermoon high in the sky. Soulless sits down by himself and starts “Antrum” just as the moon reaches its fullest. He has not been seen or heard from since. Anyone who has seen the 1984 movie Gremlins probably has an image and mythos they associate with the creatures. The Civil Rights and Prison Uprisings of 1971: The A.B.C.’s of Change. It’s 1971. The country is coming out of a tumultuous decade, and most are trying to adapt to lessons learned from the Civil Rights Movement. Many people remember the L.A. riots, and the more recent unrest in city streets the past few years. Our stories in this episode play out in the Northeast, in a relatively small piece of time, but their lessons are large, and their impact sent ripples nationwide. Our main focus: The Attica Prison Uprising, and tangentially: Bridgeton and Camden NJ civil unrest(ABC’s). Also discussed, prison revolts in Trenton and Rahway. 1. https://www.thedailyjournal.com/story/news/history/2015/04/14/local-history-racial-tension-leads-to-bridgeton-riots/25754919/2. http://www.dvrbs.com/camden/camdennj-riotof1971.htm3. https://www.nytimes.com/1971/12/17/archives/freeing-of-hostages-ends-uprising-at-jersey-prison.html4. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attica_Prison_riot5. https://theconversation.com/the-racist-roots-of-american-policing-from-slave-patrols-to-traffic-stops-1128166. Staying in my favorite city a while longer, we’re headed to Germantown in Philadelphia. We will be taking a haunting tour of a house that had played host to the Revolutionary War and Yellow Fever in the late 1700’s, and examining its unsettling history. Complete with first person accounts, particularly of a fateful day on the grounds: Oct 4th, 1777, the listener is transported back in time to meet some of the personalities who supposedly still reside within its walls. Today it is a center for horticulture and battle re-enactments, but blood literally still stains it’s floor, and ghosts still walk the halls of: Grumblethorpe. Sources:1. Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! In honor of the 3rd greenest day of the year, we will be taking a look at the history of hooliganism. Beginning in Surrey, England in the 18th century, the episode concludes with a peek at some of the most lovable Hooligans in sports: The Philadelphia Hooligans Men’s Roller Derby team. Here in you will find answers to questions I’m sure have been nagging you for years, such as “Where did the word ‘derby’ originate, and what is its actual definition in sports?”, and “Why has alcohol been banned at all Scottish Football events for the past 35 years?”. Ever wonder what the melody of “We’re from Philly, no one likes us we don’t care” is from? Join me, Soulless, to learn that some questions (hint it’s the last one) are better left unanswered... It’s an entertaining ride full of twists and fun facts. But be warned: There’s Hooligan’s afoot! With a backing track of vintage style jazz to set the scene, Soulless continues his examination of NJ’s most famous extraterrestrial encounter.
Driving home from work one night, George O’Barski witnessed a strange ship descend from the air. Jaw agape he watched as tiny figures exited the ship, appear to study the soil, and depart. It is a rare documented and corroborated instance of a close encounter of the third kind.
Temporal distortion, time anomalies, time slips... Known by many names, a scary number are reported throughout history. The implications are unsettling, at best.
The Soviet Union’s WW2 regiment of all women pilots flew over 24,000 missions. They specialized in harassment bombings of the enemy. They earned the nickname the Night Witches from the German’s for their demoralizing tactics of low flying, silent, night bombings. Flying small, 2 seat, wooden planes only large enough to carry 2 bombs, they would deliver their payloads sometimes 18 times a night, reeking havoc on the German offensive, sleep, and psyche
Take a journey down New Jersey’s most haunted road. We’ll peek in on: Jungle Habitat survivors, the boy under the bridge who may or may not like coins, phantom trucks who run you off the road, and The Iceman’s dumping grounds. And since we’re in New Jersey, record breaking traffic lights.
In the summer of 1972, an ambitious new theme park opened in quiet West Milford, NJ: Warner Bro’s Jungle Habitat. 1,500 animals, including Siberian Tigers roamed the park, “free”. Not long for this world, in ‘76 the park closed, and the WB left town, leaving behind acres of forest and empty cages and enclosures. And supposedly animals, living and dead. Join me as we find out what happened to the park, and investigate what may still reside there.
