n December of 2025, an email came into the Sasquatch Odyssey inbox from a man named Jimmy. He's in his seventies, he's fighting cancer, and he's the last living person who knows the whole story of an 80-acre piece of mountain ground in north Georgia that's been in his family since 1913.He never married and never had children, and he doesn't know who'll own the property when he's gone. So over the past ten months, in more than fifty emails, he's been telling me what happened on that land across four generations, and this is the first of ten parts. Jimmy won't come on the show, won't give his last name, and won't name the county, because he still lives on the property and still says there's activity there. I've never spoken to him. Everything you'll hear has been reorganized from his emails into a story I can narrate, with his details left exactly as he gave them. Part one begins with Jimmy's great-grandfather Will, a cotton-mill worker who bought cheap mountain land in the fall of 1913 and moved his wife and three children into a cabin the previous family had walked away from. Within weeks, food was disappearing, the dogs refused to cross the creek, and something was striking the cabin walls at night.In April of 1914, after three days of rain, Will found a line of 17-inch barefoot tracks along his creek and wrote in a store ledger that somebody was on his place. A month later he stood across that creek with a rifle sighted on the chest of the thing that had made them, and he didn't fire.What followed over the next four years, from Will's own notebook and from the stories his son Thomas told Jimmy decades later, is a cautious, dangerous, and mostly silent coexistence between one family in a cabin and another family on the mountain. There's food left on a rock above the spring and a white quartz stone that appeared in its place. Looking into a large vanity mirror, she saw the reflection of a woman in period dress standing in the room behind her[27][28]. When she turned around, no one was there, but looking back into the mirror, the woman was face-to-face with her inside the glass[28].The Manifestation: Retreating to her car, Francine's phone signal died, and a haunting music box melody filled the cabin[29][30]. The search for missing red kangaroo, “Peanut,” got an injection of hope last week, with a sighting of a kangaroo on F.M. 1303 northwest of Floresville. According to Peanut's owner, Margaret Hosseini- Browder, the manager of Bradley's Foodmart convenience store on F.M. 1303 near the junction with F.M. 2579 reported seeing a kangaroo near the roadway at around 5 a.m. Wednesday morning, Sept. 23, as she was on her way to work. Tonight, “The Light Gate,” welcomes longtime researcher/author Stan Gordon. Stan Gordon was trained as an electronics technician who specialized in radio communications. He worked in the advanced consumer electronics sales field for over forty years. Stan has lived in Greensburg, Pennsylvania all of his life. Gordon began his interest in the UFO subject and other strange incidents at the age of ten in 1959. In the late 1960's, he acted as the telephone UFO sighting report investigations coordinator for the UFO Research Institute of Pittsburgh. Stan began in the field investigations of UFOs and other mysterious events in 1965, and is the primary investigator of the December 9, 1965, UFO crash-recovery incident that occurred near Kecksburg, Pennsylvania. In 1969, Gordon established a UFO Hot-line for the public to report UFO sightings to him to investigate. In 1970, he founded the Westmoreland County UFO Study Group (WCUFOSG), the first of three volunteer research groups which he would establish to investigate UFO sightings and other strange occurrences reported in Pennsylvania. Since November 1993, he continues to investigate and document strange incidents from across the Keystone state as an independent researcher. Stan is a former PA State Director for the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), and was its first recipient. In 1987 of the MUFON Meritorious Achievement in a UFO investigation Award. Gordon has been involved with the investigation of thousands of mysterious encounters from across Pennsylvania. He has appeared on numerous local and network TV news and documentary shows, including the Syfy Channel (formerly the Sci-Fi Channel), Discovery Channel, History Channel, and Fox News Channel. He has been featured on many television shows, including Unsolved Mysteries, Sightings, Inside Edition, A Current Affair, and Creepy Canada. Jamie is a sheep and cattle farmer in Derbyshire. He's experienced several big cat incidents, starting with seeing a black panther swat butterflies as a youngster while walking with his Grandmother. THE DEVIL WITHIN THE NEW MONSTERS: THE LOVELAND FROGMAN Episode Two — The Creature Gets a Name Before the Loveland Frogman became one of America's strangest regional cryptids, it may have been something else entirely. The story takes us back to Loveland, Ohio, in 1955, where a businessman or traveling salesman supposedly encountered three small humanoid figures beside a country road near the Little Miami River. Later versions describe creatures standing three or four feet tall, with leathery skin, deeply wrinkled heads and vaguely frog-like faces. Then one of them reportedly raised a strange metal rod above its head—and sparks began shooting from it. A Frogman is strange enough. A Frogman with a magic wand requires considerably more explanation. In Episode Two of The New Monsters, we investigate how a handful of separate encounters gradually became the mythology of the Loveland Frogman—and why the creature's bizarre origins may have more in common with America's flying-saucer obsession than traditional cryptozoology. The problem begins with the 1955 encounter itself. Unlike the better-documented police sightings that followed seventeen years later, there is no readily available contemporary police report establishing the version of the story we know today. Its famous details reach us largely through later researchers, paranormal literature and decades of retelling, meaning the Frogman's origin story belongs much more securely to folklore than verified history. And then there's that wand. America in 1955 was deep in the first great age of flying-saucer fascination. UFO reports were multiplying, science-fiction theaters were filled with extraterrestrial visitors, and stories of strange humanoids carrying mysterious technology occupied a very different corner of the American imagination. Three small beings beside a road carrying a sparking device don't necessarily sound like unknown amphibians at all. They sound suspiciously like visitors. The documentary trail is too weak to conclude that the Frogman began as a UFO story, but the possibility reveals just how dramatically a story can change depending upon the name we eventually give its creature. Then came 1972. Loveland police officers Ray Shockey and Mark Mathews encountered unusual animals near the Little Miami River seventeen years after the alleged 1955 incident. Suddenly, the older story had something it had previously lacked: recognizable witnesses and the authority of a police uniform. Three mysterious humanoids from 1955 could become earlier examples of the same creature encountered by police in 1972, while those later encounters appeared to prove that something had been returning to the river for decades. Separate stories became sightings. Sightings became a pattern. And eventually, the pattern became a monster. Once the name Loveland Frogman took hold, the transformation accelerated. Paranormal books, cryptozoology collections and eventually the internet standardized a creature that eyewitness testimony had left frustratingly incomplete. Artists supplied enormous eyes, long limbs, webbed hands and unmistakably amphibian features until generations of people who had never seen the creature nevertheless knew exactly what a Loveland Frogman was supposed to look like. And somehow, through every transformation, the sparking wand survived. This week on The Devil Within, we follow one of America's strangest cryptids from an uncertain roadside encounter through police reports, paranormal publishing and the internet, examining how folklore can create a coherent history from stories that may never have belonged together in the first place. Because the Loveland Frogman wasn't simply discovered. It was assembled. Next time, the Frogman enters the smartphone age when teenagers playing Pokémon Go near Loveland encounter something strange beside the water. This week on Sasquatch Odyssey, Brian welcomes Matt from Texas for the first installment of a two-part interview about an encounter that completely changed the direction of his life.On the morning of May 20, 2019, Matt was driving an 18-wheeler loaded with fuel south on Highway 84 between Abilene and Coleman, Texas. Severe storms and tornadoes had torn through the area two days earlier, and as Matt approached the small community of Silver Valley, his attention was focused on the damage along the highway.Then he noticed what he first thought was a black bull near the road.A second look made him think it was an enormous hog. Then it stood and began walking.As Matt closed the distance, he realized he was looking at something unlike anything he had ever seen before: an enormous, jet-black, muscular figure moving upright through the bright green grass toward the tree line.Matt estimates the creature stood between seven and a half and eight feet tall, with massive shoulders, extraordinarily thick arms and legs, and a body he believes could have weighed close to a thousand pounds.For nearly a minute, Matt watched from the cab of his truck as the figure moved across the open ground. At his closest point, he estimates he was only about 50 to 75 yards away. Then it reached the woods and seemed to disappear into the darkness.But the encounter didn't end there. After delivering his load in Coleman, Matt immediately headed back toward the location. As he approached the area again, he encountered multiple sheriff's vehicles slowly driving the shoulders of the highway, appearing to search the same stretch of road where he had seen the creature. Matt has always wondered whether another motorist—or possibly a nearby road crew—had seen something that morning and called law enforcement. The experience sent Matt into a research journey that has now lasted more than seven years. He returned to the encounter site, began studying reports from across Texas, attended the Texas Bigfoot Conference, and eventually had several personal conversations with the late Dr. Jeff Meldrum, whose advice to “never stop looking” became a guiding principle in Matt's search.In Part One, Matt takes us through the sighting in remarkable detail—the creature's size, movement, muscle structure, unusual behavior, and the exact moments that transformed Bigfoot from something he barely thought about into something he says he knows is real. Brian welcomes Linda from California and longtime Bigfoot researcher David Raygoza for a firsthand encounter and the investigation that followed.Linda shares how the Patterson-Gimlin film first sparked her interest in Bigfoot before strange experiences in the forests around Shasta and the Trinity Alps made the subject much more personal.Then, on June 28 near the Shaver Lake area, she saw something she couldn't explain.Standing roughly 50 yards away in a meadow near power lines was an enormous, long-haired figure she estimated at 8 to 10 feet tall.
