Hello, I’m Libby Saylor and this is The Goddess Attainable Podcast. This podcast is essentially my spoken journal, where I talk about pretty much anything I want. I share about my life, love and relationships, spirituality and healing, art and inspiration

In this podcast episode, I contemplate the profound magic and divine timing (some might call it luck) involved in meeting a love partner. I reflect on how most people only have a few actual love partners in their entire lifetime. Therefore, the process of finding a love partnership during a period of single-ness requires patience and trust. I also reflect upon both of my exes, and even though these partnerships did not work out, I still view them as sacred and divine. Finding a love partner doesn't just happen, and it's perfectly okay to take your time with this search. In this episode I discuss seven things that happen when we engage in sex, art-making, and entering into a relationship with another. All of these things require an element of surrender, as well as deliberate action, and so much more. And when these three processes are complete, we are never quite the same. It's actually quite a beautiful way to make peace with loss, completions, and endings. And it's an even better way to remain hopeful about continuing forward with these three beautiful acts of love. I treat this podcast episode as a space of semi-guilty confession, and admit to the things I reach for when I'm feeling empty and depleted. I think we all feel empty at times, and sometimes it's easier to reach for something soothing than it is to just sit with the uncomfortable feelings. But right now I'm trying to do better. This episode is an invitation to join me in the human admittance of this very normal behavior, and to also perhaps try to just sit a bit longer in the discomfort, in order to stretch those spiritual muscles. It's a practice, and we're not seeking perfection here! In this episode I share about my most recent dating disappointment, and how it compelled me to enter into cocooning mode after several days of resisting facing my feelings. Sad emotions, and even seemingly minor disappointments, setbacks, conflicts, and other life issues take a lot out of us. And many of us go months, if not years, without stopping to cocoon and just feel our feelings, and tend to ourselves. In this podcast episode, I discuss how to honor and bring more awareness to the very real male wounds of toxic masculinity, while at the same time, maintain our own goddess power as females. It's an immensely tricky task, and having conversations about these very intricate dynamics is the first step towards healing. I also discuss double-standards when it comes to attraction, from both sides of the coin. And I talk about finding the balance between maintaining our healthy goddess anger in terms of empowerment, while still leading with compassion. "The adventurous boy, keen on exploring the new and unknown, gets subdued and this causes deep pain, because the boy essentially holds the key to the man's soul, his individuality. Being disconnected from your true inspiration causes sadness, anger, and eventually depression and aggression." - by Pamela Kribbe and Gerrit GielenAlso mentioned in this episode: I Lost My Dream Life 12 Days Before Christmas: https://thegoddessattainable.com/i-lost-my-dream-life-12-days-before-christmas/ Jeshua Channelings about The Origin of Toxic Masculinity: https://www.jeshua.net/newsletters/newsletter-jeshua-net-april-2022/Insights At The Edge, Our Evolutionary Leap: https://www.resources.soundstrue.com/podcast/our-evolutionary-leap/ Fly On The Wall With Dana Carvey And David Spade: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/chris-rock/id1603639502?i=1000547638200Support the show
In this podcast episode, I share a bit about the grieving process over my recent breakup, and where I am at now, after all is said and done. And I expand upon a new way of being single, that entails avoiding the angst, and drama, and desperate longing, that often accompanied my search for love in the past. And how I'm excited by a new approach to finding love that doesn't involve so much struggle. I also share about how I'm coming to terms with the fact that I really do need to find a way to get to a place of complete happiness, with or without a partner. And how I must learn new ways of living life as a single person, and letting go of such intense focus on finding someone. Being single and being miserable must no longer be mutually exclusive!! In this episode, I talk about some touchy subjects regarding the judgements and pressures that our patriarchal society places on single women in particular. Marriage and children are beautiful things that I support and desire. And yet, at the same time, if women are unmarried and/or without children, they often receive deeply insidious societal messages that tell them they are somehow less than. And therefore, how dare they have the audacity to be happy as single women?! I also expand upon some of the problems with marriage in a patriarchal society. And mention the three patriarchal ideals of entitlement, childishness, and laziness, and how single women in particular are a threat to these ideals. I hope this episode inspires those who are feeling ashamed of their single status to say NO to these messages. And instead, have the audacity to be happy, regardless of your relationship status. For this time around, I would like to take my time, set deliberate intentions, and make sure my motivations for finding a man to share my life with, are coming from a goddess-level place, and not from a place of needy desperation. I share with you some ideas I have for preparing to get out there into the dating world, and expand upon my new and next-level mindset for finding love. In this podcast episode, I share a bit about how my control issues originated in childhood, and how those control issues have shaped the way I view my current love life, my single status, and my approach to finding new love. I was inspired by something Lindsay Mack shared in her beautiful podcast, Tarot For The Wild Soul. She essentially said that we have no control over finding our love partner. This blew my mind, and still does! Because for so many years, I really thought I could control everything, including my path to love. Finally, I share about new ideas and ways in which I'm attempting to reframe this controlling way of thinking, in order to open me up to greater love and happiness! Also mentioned in this episode: Tarot For The Wild Soul With Lindsay Mack Episode #183: https://www.tarotforthewildsoul.com/episodes-transcripts/ep-183-opening-to-the-rainbows-with-ten-of-cups I Lost My Dream Life 12 Days Before Christmas: https://thegoddessattainable.com/i-lost-my-dream-life-12-days-before-christmas/Putting My Life In The Hands Of The Goddesses, I Think…: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/putting-my-life-in-the-hands-of-the-goddesses-i-think/id1564964662?i=1000550089761Support the show

In this episode, I fangirl over Deborah Roberts, mixed media artist living and working in Houston, Texas. This is not an interview with Deborah. But instead, I give a heartfelt goddess shoutout. And I share details about her work, and why she inspires me enough to devote an entire podcast episode to her!I also share about my own personal experiences with mixed media art-making, as I am also a mixed-media artist (sort of). And I offer information about how to find, follow, and fangirl this incredibly talented, dedicated, and phenomenal artist. Deborah Roberts' work has been exhibited internationally across the US and Europe; and is included in collections at the Whitney Museum of American Art, Brooklyn Museum, The Studio Museum in Harlem, NYC, and LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art), among others. Her work has been published in Art in America, Vogue, New York Magazine, Harper's Bazaar, and New York Times. Roberts received her MFA from Syracuse University, New York.“My process combines found and manipulated images with hand drawn and painted details to create hybrid figures. These figures often take the form of young girls and increasingly Black boys, whose well-being and futures are equally threatened because of the double standard of boyhood and criminality that is projected on them at such a young age. The boys and girls who populate my work, while subject to societal pressures and projected images, are still unfixed in their identity. Each child has character and agency to find their own way amidst the complicated narratives of American, African American and art history.” -Deborah RobertsAlso mentioned in this episode: Deborah Roberts website: http://www.deborahrobertsart.com/Follow Deborah Roberts on Instagram @rdeborah191: https://www.instagram.com/rdeborah191/ Art in America, “I Will Not Be Taught How To Behave” article by Joshua Bennett: https://www.artnews.com/art-in-america/features/deborah-roberts-collage-defiance-black-children-1234591645/ 4 Ways To Create Meaningful Art: https://thegoddessattainable.com/4-ways-to-create-meaningful-art/ Beauty Hurts In The Eyes Of An Artist: https://thegoddessattainable.com/beauty-hurts-in-the-eyes-of-an-artist/ Libby Saylor collages: https://www.libbysaylor.com/collages.htmlLibby Saylor mom collages: https://www.libbysaylor.com/mom.html Libby Saylor Urbanscapes (childhood memory paintings): https://www.libbysaylor.com/urbanscapes.htmlSupport the show

In this episode, I'm going to share with you an incredible exercise that I have used time and time again to heal my deep-seated, hard to get at, inner-child wounds. You don't have to have come from a dysfunctional family, or have had a super dark childhood to have these kinds of wounds. If you're human, you have feelings. And when you're a child, your feelings are sensitive, vulnerable, and exposed. And sometimes, they get hurt. So, this topic truly applies to everyone. Again, as long as you're a human being, you're probably going to get something out of this!I'm not a doctor or an expert and I don't claim to be. I'm a human being with life experiences, and this is my own wisdom that I am sharing with you. I'm going to aim to give you powerful, anecdotal information from my personal experiences with healing my wounded inner child. And you can decide from there whether or not you want to give this a try .Also mentioned in this episode: The Luminous Void Goddess Power Oracle Deck “Is Your Childhood Self Running Your Life?”Visit The Goddess Attainable Blog here: https://thegoddessattainable.com/.Music: "Crystalized" by Luna WaveSupport the show

I share about my years of experience with vision boarding and elaborate on some of my success stories with vision boards and manifestation. This can be a powerful tool to bring your dreams into reality.I'll start off by saying that from my experience, no, it's not pointless, and yes, it does work. But, take it with a grain of salt, and know that it's not the end-all-be-all of manifestation. But it's an awesome part of the process and it's one of the many helpful tools.Manifestation is also done 95% internally. So, consider vision boarding part of the 5% of external actions that you can take towards manifesting your dreams. Also, we're manifesting all of the time, whether we realize it or not. We bring things into our experience all of the time, and we keep things out of our experience all of the time. That's all manifestation really is. But, you can learn to get really good at being much more deliberate about the way you manifest things into your life. From my experience, there are two kinds of vision boards. There is the “brainstorming” kind and the “honing in on the details” kind. And each kind of vision board is used in a different way, for different times in your life. It's best to use magazine clippings for the much more free-flowing “brainstorming” vision board. And I often use images from the internet when I am much clearer about what I'm looking for, when I'm making a “honing in on the details” vision board. In this episode, I describe two of my most recent vision boards and share the details of how they both came true, virtually image for image! Also mentioned in this episode:Hot Air Ballooning on The Edge, Part IHot Air Ballooning on the Edge, Part IIHow Blogging Changed My LifeAndBloomVisit The Goddess Attainable Blog here: https://thegoddessattainable.com/.Music: "Crystalized" by Luna WaveSupport the show
