On Valentine's Day in 1945, Charles Walton was found dead by a hedgerow on the Firs Farm in Warwickshire, England. He had been beaten over the head, his throat cut with his own slash hook and pinned to the ground by the neck with a pitchfork. Was the murderer one of the locals, possibly even a friend, or was the murder a ritualistic form of witchcraft, reflecting a witches murder in 1875? Tonight we'll try and discover who killed Charles Walton.
Tonight we interview Tracy's friend, Matt Davis. Matt is a man who wants to believe in the paranormal, and yet the paranormal seems to literally hide from him. Where some of us are "weirdness magnets" who attract the unexplained, Matt considers himself more of a "weirdness repellent." Can we convince him that the paranormal is real? We invite you to listen to the episode and decide for yourself. Welcome to Episode 158 of, "What In The...? Podcast!"

I awoke on a Friday morning, thinking about my weekend, but knowing I still had to finish my workday. Worse, I was running late too. Just enough time to get dressed, make up the bed and grab a quick bite before heading out. As I go to make the bed, I noticed something...out of place. Last night I had covered up with a black bedspread, but the one on the bed was blue. Had my wife changed it while I lay sleeping? Did we even have a blue one? I don't remember ever getting a blue one! Dismissing the oddity, I rushed downstairs and grabbed an energy bar and my car keys on my way out the door...and stopped dead in my tracks. There, in the driveway, was a powder blue Ford Focus that I've never seen before! I have a Focus, but it's silver... I pushed the button on my key fob and, to my surprise, the car alarm sounds and the doors unlock! Suddenly feeling out of place, I opened the glove box to look at the registration. It's my name! What's going on here? What you've just read is an example of someone possibly slipping into a parallel world. A world much like our own, but subtly different. What is an anachronism? You may have noticed this in film and television, like a pirate movie where everyone is dressed in period clothes except for the guy in the background wearing a t-shirt and blue jeans, objects that don't belong in the depicted era that make the man look like someone from the future visiting the past. These happen accidentally in period pieces when television and movie makers miss details that are easily overlooked, but these sort of things never happen in the real world, do they? You may be surprised to find out that it occurs more than you might think. Tonight we'll explore OOPARTs, better known as Out Of Place ARTifacts, items that don't seem to fit into the time period they allegedly belong to. Welcome to episode 122 of "What In The...?
