While inflation for specific food items has elevated, the headline inflation is under control with a surplus registered in the last quarter.Speaking of the parliament, a day ahead of the much-awaited Union Budget, the Lok Sabha session kicked off with partisan attacks on Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan during the ‘Question Hour' rowing over the NEET - UG paper leak case. Congress MP Manickam Tagore and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav criticised Pradhan over the purported paper leak incident, whereas Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi claimed that Pradhan will “blame everybody but himself”.Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has resumed the NEET matter hearing today. Senior advocate Hooda told the top court that the paper leak took place through WhatsApp so it was impossible that it was confined only to Patna in Bihar. He said, “Solvers were taken from Rajasthan. Dissemination was through WhatsApp. It is not possible that the leak is confined to Patna.``. It's so good to see you. I've been looking forward to this. You've been my idol for a long time. I first learned about you when you were at Pew Research Center, and I thought your perspective and research were so helpful. Realizing the Fragility of Health When did you first realize health was fragile? Susannah Fox: Wow. The first time I realized that health was fragile was when my dad was a flatliner on the table at the hospital after his heart attack. He was in his fifties and someone who, to anyone who looked at him, would've thought he was a health nut. He went four miles three times a week. He was fit. He loved to hike. He was a mountain climber. And yet he had genetically high cholesterol and a hidden, blocked artery. So, they luckily were able to revive him, and he had open heart surgery and lived long enough to then get kidney cancer in his sixties and melanoma in his seventies. My dad was my model for lifelong health and perseverance. I love this question because it explains how you learned that health is fragile. But then also what? What happened when you learned that health was fragile? For me, it was seeing my dad persevere to regain his health each time he had a setback. Health Hats: That's admirable. Transition from Research to Activism Health Hats: You had these experiences and are now in activism. How did that path happen? How did you get where you are now?

Melanie Weisner is an American professional poker player. She is also known by her PokerStars online screen name Callisto 5. Born in Houston, Texas, Weisner studied vocal performance at New York University before pursuing poker full-time. She was introduced to poker when her brother had success playing online. Nick Petrangelo is an American poker player from Massachusetts who has earned two World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets and amassed more than $29 million in live tournament earnings, putting him first on the state's all-time money list. Petrangelo, whose first cash dates back to 2009, earned his biggest score to date at the 2018 WSOP, where he took down the $100,000 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller for $2.9 million. The same year, Petrangelo finished third in the WSOP's $50,000 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller for $720,103, proving himself to be a true crusher in the high roller fields. Petrangelo earned his second-largest career cash in October 2021 when he took down a $200,000 Aria High Roller tournament for $1.5 million. His hot streak continued into the next year and, in January 2022, Petrangelo took down the a $100,000 event at the PokerGO Stairway to Millions for just over a million. He has also had success at the World Poker Tour (WPT), including winning a title by taking down a $3,000 WPT Online World Championship event in 2020 for $494,550. With four seven-figure cashes to his name to date, Petrangelo has established himself as one of the best poker players on the tournament scene today. PURSUIT (CBS 1949 - 1952) was a detective series that presented the cases of the fictional Scotland Yard Inspector Peter Black. The Inspector was a dedicated policeman, a man hunter, who once on the case, would not rest until the wrongdoer was brought to justice. Black was assisted in cases by Sgt. Moffet. The series was unusual in that it featured dual narration. Starting in the Spring of 1950, Bill Johnstone provided the opening and closing narrations and sometimes, bridges between commercials. Kahle Burns may be Australia's best kept secret. He has been collecting tournament cashes across Australia and the world for over a decade and has amassed more than $13 million in live tournament earnings during that stretch. Hello solvers, Welcome to The Solvers Edge Podcast, the podcast that takes you on a journey of why, how, and when does open innovation matter. I'm your host, Iliriana Kacaniku and today I have the pleasure of introducing you to Matthew Gaiser, a software developer and an exceptional solver of open innovation challenges. He discovered open innovation when pursuing internship opportunities. The quest for internship led him to MindSumo, an open innovation platform that in Matthew's words enables potential employers to evaluate potential candidates' professional skills via challenge-based testing. Since then, he has solved 426 challenges and won over 250 of them. Listing each one of them would take more than 50 pages of a resume. He has been an obsessive problem solver since his childhood. For him, open innovation challenges seem to be a lifeline of problem solving regardless of whether he has a job or pursuing one. He shared profound insights about open innovation that pertain to both solvers and seekers. Listening with a solver's hat on, I found it valuable that: Open innovation challenges help demonstrate validated basic understanding of a subject matter Experience with open innovation challenges matters in the career pursuits And interestingly, when switching hats to the innovation seeker's one, being courageous and intentional with the design of the open innovation challenges really stood out. So, Start with a very small scale of open innovation as it provides that first hand experience needed for further adoption of open innovation. Be intentional about the problem you're trying to solve and what you are trying to accomplish, and Address barriers-to-entry for solvers by being innovative how to reward solvers for the time they took to solve - to encourage most talented people to engage with the challenge and take valuable time out of their other pursuits, especially if they are pursuing new employment opportunities, have some prizes at the end, so even if people don't win, they still feel that they got something for their time.
