In this episode, Joel sits down to chat with Paul Cammack the director of Alfie´s Coffee Company. He talks about how he reached the point where people were requesting that his coffee van come to their area.  As well as how lockdown suddenly slowed his growth, which pushed him to go online earlier than planned and resulted in him creating new product lines. To start selling his award-winning freshly roasted beans across the country, including as a subscription service. He also explains how he tailors what he has to offer to his customers, while, at the same time, encouraging them to try other beans and invest in equipment to produce better results. Alfie realised that lockdown got people more interested in making high-quality coffee at home. A market he tapped into. Using tech that is already available is a good way to grow your brand. Meanwhile, with the imprisonment of Francis Gaunt tensions fester in the top brass at the Raven Union HQ and Harwood increasingly becomes unhinged, seeing betrayal everywhere, through a cocktail of medicine, alcohol and the plotting of Captain Salt. Í þessum þætti höldum við umfjöllun okkar um fræði og boðskap Alfies Kohns áfram, út frá bókinni hans Unconditional Parenting. Með Guðrúnu Ingu Torfadóttur eru mættar þær Eva Rún Guðmundsdóttir, Guðrún Birna le Sage og Gyða Björg Sigurðardóttir. Í síðasta þætti stikluðum við á stóru um fyrri helming bókarinnar Unconditional Parenting. Við fórum yfir hegðunarvandamál sem leiða af skilyrtri ást foreldra og af hverju vinsælar uppeldisaðferðir láta börnum líða eins og þau séu samþykkt aðeins ef þau fara að kröfum foreldra sinna. Þá fjölluðum við um þegar börnum líður eins og foreldrar þeirra elski þau bara ef þeim vegnar vel í einhverju, t.d. skóla eða íþróttum. Í síðari helmingi bókarinnar fjallar Alfie síðan um hvernig við getum fært okkur frá þessum sem hann nefnir úreldu aðferðum og yfir í eitthvað allt annað og betra. Spurningin sem á okkur brennur eftir umfjöllun síðasta þáttar er: Af hverju gerum við þetta? Ef skilyrt og stjórnunartengt uppeldi er svona hrikalega slæmt eins og rannsóknir og reynsla margra segir okkur, af hverju erum við þá mörg okkar að detta inn í þess konar uppeldisaðferðir? Jafnvel mjög vel hugsandi fólk getur fest í ómarkvissri uppeldistaktík, því léleg agastjórnun er mjög auðveld og krefst lítils af okkur við að gera eitthvað við börnin okkar. Að gera eitthvað með börnunum er mun erfiðar. Og ef við þekkjum ekki seinni aðferðirnar þá höldum við áfram að gera hið fyrra því við vitum ekki hvað annað við ættum að gera. Þá fórum við yfir 12 grunngildi skilyrðislauss uppeldis að mati Alfies, sem að hans mati geta verið leiðarljós við að fara í þá hugrakka vegferð að horfast í augu við okkur sjálf sem foreldrar og gera örlítið betur á morgun en í dag og í gær.
