What a fun time we have together, Mr. SkellyBones. Let this be a chronicle of our friendship even when I'm long gone, dead and buried. Well, hopefully cremated with my ashes spread around some shitty location in Orlando, Florida that is not The Haunted Mansion found in the Magic Kingdom on Walt Disney World theme park property. Or Horrorland. If you can find it, let me rest there, if possible, cause I already live there mentally whenever I eat peanut butter now. Or whenever I watch any program with Gordon Ramsey. Anyways, we're back to read more Goosebumps today but before that we're going to take a brief dive into all things Attack on Titan, because the review has been a long time coming and some promises you make in Dead Space together need to be fulfilled if only to the amusement of one of us. OpenAI has released research in collaboration with the MIT Media Lab that explores the emotional impact of using ChatGPT. The study indicates that while over 400 million people engage with ChatGPT weekly, only a small number form emotional connections with the chatbot, which is primarily marketed as a productivity tool. Notably, female users reported a decrease in socialization after four weeks of use, and those who interacted with the chatbot in a voice different from their own experienced heightened feelings of loneliness. The findings suggest that users who bond with ChatGPT may face increased loneliness and emotional dependency, prompting OpenAI to submit these studies for peer review. In the competitive landscape of generative artificial intelligence, OpenAI is reportedly facing significant financial challenges, with annual operating costs estimated between $7-8 billion. AI scholar Kai-Fu Lee points out that as foundational models become more commoditized, OpenAI may struggle to compete with cheaper alternatives like DeepSea, which operates at just 2% of OpenAI's costs. Lee emphasizes that the economics of the AI industry are shifting towards open-source models, which are cheaper to produce and operate, suggesting that while OpenAI is not on the brink of collapse, the market may soon be dominated by a few key players. The podcast also discusses the evolving capabilities of AI models, highlighting the latest version of ChatGPT, which can now blend text and image generation and respond to voice commands. Additionally, DeepSeek has upgraded its AI model, showing improved performance in coding and reasoning tasks, while Google has introduced its Gemini 2.5 Pro model, which boasts enhanced reasoning capabilities and a large token context window. These advancements indicate a trend where AI models are becoming more versatile and capable of handling complex tasks, emphasizing the importance of deployment flexibility and cost efficiency in the evolving AI landscape. Finally, the episode addresses ongoing privacy concerns surrounding AI technologies, including a new complaint against OpenAI in Europe for generating false information and a settlement reached by Clearview AI regarding privacy violations. The discussion highlights the legal implications of using generative AI tools, particularly in relation to GDPR compliance. Additionally, the podcast examines the lack of diversity in IT leadership, revealing that despite efforts towards diversity, equity, and inclusion, the demographic makeup of IT leadership remains largely unchanged, underscoring the need for continued focus on inclusive leadership in the tech industry. Let me be honest: you are stuck because you have been indoctrinated by the system. The system is built around you not getting too far ahead. It doesn't care about you. You want to fix your life? Here are the 3 harsh truths you need to hear—no sugarcoating: 1. You're Too Arrogant – You're behavior reveals your unconscious - you behave as if you know it all, but you don't. How many books have you actually read? Stop acting like you've got the answers when you haven't even learned from the real Titans—people like Rockefeller, Socrates, or Will Durant. 2. You're All Talk, No Action – Overthinking is for losers. Winners do. They experiment, they fail, and they try again. Sitting around debating what could go wrong is why you're stuck. 3. You're a Quitter – One little setback, and you're done. You give up too easily, and that's why life keeps beating you down. Winners? They keep pushing until they win or die trying. This world isn't going to feel sorry for you, and success isn't waiting around for you to grow a backbone. Get humble, start doing, and never quit—or stay broke, stuck, and miserable. Your choice.

The vast majority of international trade is conducted using the U.S. dollar, bolstering the strength of the American currency and leaving nations open to potential sanctions damage. Given the growing number of sanctions imposed on Russia and China is response to a litany of human rights abuses committed by their dictatorships, both countries have spearheaded efforts both in BRICS and beyond to “de-dollarize” their economies, ideally rendering them immune from sanctions. “De-Dollarization” was a major topic of discussion at the 2023 BRICS summit, in the short term by replacing the dollar with the Chinese yuan or the Russian ruble. In the long term, however, BRICS representatives have suggested that the member nations of that coalition could create their own currency to protect its members from sanctions or any human rights requirements Western nations may demand.
