You've got to ask yourself: what on earth was the Migrant Association thinking? This comes after its stunt of guillotining an effigy of Winston Peters because it believes he's racist. It obviously disregarded the fact that many supporters of Peters believe unmitigated immigration allows undesirable migrants to flood the country, the type who think nothing of guillotining a politician or anybody else they disagree with. All it does is reinforce the stereotype of the violent migrant coming to replace the existing population. This is what Peters is railing against. And it's happening at the same time as the case of Ann Widdecombe that rocked the UK, a politician who was bludgeoned to death with a hammer for the crime of being a politician. Now, this was the same example used by people who found Paul Henry's statement about shooting Chris Hipkins distasteful, albeit a joke prompted by some radio jocks. So, if the Migrant Association thought this stunt would strengthen support for its position, then it has clearly failed. I think it should apologise. But that doesn't seem likely because, so far, it has defended the stunt as satire, which it wasn't. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus British pro-lifer brutally murdered There's a brutal update about the murder of a retired British pro-life politician. Shockingly, the man accused of murdering former British politician Ann Widdecombe on July 8th struck her 21 times in the head with a hammer before taking her wallet and leaving her home, reports Human Events. After she failed to appear for a scheduled television interview that afternoon, her body was discovered the following day by her gardener. Joshua Kerry, age 28, appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court on July 21st after being charged with murder in the death of the 78-year-old former Conservative Member of Parliament. Prosecutors said police are also investigating whether the killing had a political or terrorist motive. According to the Associated Press, Widdecombe was eating lunch at her home on the edge of Dartmoor National Park in southwest England, when Kerry arrived. Widdecombe served as a Conservative member of Parliament from 1987 until 2010. Listen to her articulate defense of the unborn baby in a 2020 debate hosted by the Queen's University Belfast Literary and Scientific Society. WIDDECOMBE: “When a child is born, you cannot take its life. Not one minute after birth can you take its life. It does not matter how disabled that child is, how profoundly sick it may be, how stressed the mother is, how poor the mother is, whether the mother has suddenly decided that she didn't, after all, want to have the child. You cannot take that child's life. At the moment of birth, it has full civil rights. It is protected as much as you and I are protected by the law. “Yet, one day earlier, that is not so. But hang on. It's the same child! Nothing has happened to change that child into something different, other than the fact that finally it can be seen, that it is quite visibly here among us. But it's been here among us in the days and the weeks and, indeed, the months before that birth. “So, I would say that the law, which has now been imposed, I can't put it any other way, on Northern Ireland is a law that actually is illogical. It is immoral and it is unkind. If a child can enjoy our protection one day, that same child should be able to enjoy our protection the day before!” Proverbs 31:8 says, “"Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.” The brutal death of pro-lifer Ann Widdecombe is a profound loss. Samaritan's Purse aids thousands after Venezuela earthquakes Evangelist Franklin Graham visited Venezuela this week to meet with earthquake survivors who were being aided by Samaritan's Purse after the June 24 back-to-back magnitude 7.5 and 7.2 earthquakes killed at least 5,000 people and injured even more, reports The Christian Post. Samaritan's Purse Emergency Field Hospital, which has 60 beds and two operating rooms, has helped 2,500 people since it opened on June 30th. Graham said, "These people are surrounded by so much death and destruction. We want to bring the light of Jesus Christ into these places of pain.” Thomas Ovington, the Team Leader in Venezuela, gave his overview of the earthquake trauma and the help that Samaritan's Purse is offering. OVINGTON: “We're seeing complete chaos around. There's fallen buildings. There's people sleeping in the streets. Football stadiums packed full of people. It's also the huge number of people that are missing. There's just an incredibly high level of desperation. “But it's also an amazing opportunity for us to serve. We have a lot of different capabilities. This is the emergency room that we're in right now. Two operating theaters in the back where we can do the surgeries. A lot of the needs we're starting to see are trauma from fallen buildings. There's crush injuries, broken bones. “Additionally to that, we're doing distributions of tarps, non-food items, and potable water. “At Samaritan's Purse, our number one priority is to share the Gospel of Jesus and the hope we have in Him. And so here, we're in the midst of an incredibly hopeless situation for tens of thousands of people. Trump blasts Democrat Communists as greatest threat to America Ahead of the November midterm elections, President Donald Trump launched a broadside against the Democratic Party, saying the up-and-coming Democratic Socialists are "communism by another name" and "the greatest threat I've ever seen to our country.,” reports Real Clear Politics. TRUMP:  “While our administration is lifting up the next generation with the power of freedom and American capitalism, proven all over the world when it's done right, the radical Left is actively trying to destroy our children's future with the disaster known as communism. This isn't social democracy; these are communists by another name, right? “Communism is the single greatest threat to our country in its history, including even World War I and World War II, Pearl Harbor, 9/11. These people are stone cold crazy. “You know they want to give everything away. You want free rent? You want [a] free house? What they don't say is that a year from now, there'll be absolute squalor, turmoil, and death. And that's why we declare again today that the United States of America will never be a communist country!” NYC Mayor threatens to arrest Israeli Prime Minister as a “war criminal” New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, a socialist, has been threatening to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu when he addresses the United Nations this September in New York City.  This was in response to the International Criminal Court's November 2024 issuance of a warrant for Netanyahu's arrest for what it alleges are war crimes and crimes against humanity. MAMDAMI: “Benjamin Netanyahu is a war criminal, the architect of a horrific genocide against the Palestinian people. As I've said, I agree with the [International Criminal Court] that Benjamin Netanyahu should be arrested and tried for his crimes. “My administration has reviewed every avenue available under applicable law to determine whether New York City could execute the International Criminal Court's arrest warrant if Benjamin Netanyahu came here. It is clear that we do not have the independent legal authority to enforce this warrant. The federal government, however, does, and I call on them to join the ICC and execute this warrant.” Appearing on American Family Radio, Mike Huckabee, the U.S. Ambassador to Israel, had some choice words for the New York City mayor. HUCKABEE: “He certainly doesn't have the legal right to arrest a diplomat because he has diplomatic immunity if he comes to the U.N. So, this is nonsense on the part of Mamdami. He ought to be focusing on fixing potholes, picking up the trash, keeping the parks clean, and the needles from drug users off the streets. But instead, he's injecting himself into something about which he is utterly ignorant. “When he says Benjamin Netanyahu is a war criminal, on what does he base that? Benjamin Netanyahu is the elected leader of a country that very much mirrors the United States in terms of complete, wall-to-wall freedom. And if he's talking about Gaza and says, ‘Oh, they're guilty of genocide. Israel didn't start the war in Gaza; Hamas did by murdering 1,200 innocent civilians and taking captive 250 people, including 16 Americans.” Ambassador Huckabee explained what a similar attack on America would look like when scaled to the size of our population. HUCKABEE: “If Americans had the similar kind of assault on us in one day, if you looked at the scale of population, it would be the equivalent of 40,000 Americans being murdered in a single day, and 10,000 people being taken hostage, raped, starved, beaten, and abused. And I wonder what would Americans demand? What would Americans do if we had 40,000 people slaughtered, including pregnant women butchered in front of their children? If we'd had that in one day, I wonder if America's response would be to just gently write, maybe a strongly worded letter and say, ‘Please give our 10,000 hostages back.' “The Israelis prosecuted the war against Hamas for the sole purpose of getting their hostages back, but Hamas wouldn't let them go. This war should never have taken that long.” Homosexual Fox News host buys surrogate child On July 15, Fox News political analyst Guy Benson, a self-proclaimed homosexual,  announced on Instagram that he and his homosexual partner, Adam Wise, became so-called “fathers” again with a picture of himself holding a little girl named Madison Halsey, reports LifeSiteNews.com. This is the second child the two men have procured through surrogacy. Their son, Conrad James, was also birthed by an anonymous surrogate mother in November 2023. The culture war over surrogacy – the practice of renting the body of a woman to gestate a child created outside the womb through in vitro fertilization – has been growing louder over the past several years. The New York Post noted that Benson's announcement “drew an outpouring of well-wishes from prominent conservatives, including former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, Fox News host Dana Perino, and political commentator Sarah Cupp.” On the other hand, Christian commentators such as Megan Basham emphasized the injustice. She wrote, “Benson is an incisive pundit. But there is nothing conservative about deliberately creating motherless children. I pray Benson, and those like him on the Right, would consider what they are telling the world about how unnecessary they believe mothers (or if we're talking about two women, fathers) are to the needs of children.” And Katy Faust, a children's rights activist and founder of Them Before Us, wrote, “What did you think was going to happen after we legalized gay marriage? … What Obergefell enabled was something else. It accelerated the legal replacement of biological parenthood with intent-based parenthood.” Romans 1:26-27 says, “God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way, the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. A 28-year-old man, Joshua Kerry, has been charged with the murder of Ann Widdecombe, the Crown Prosecution Service has said.The former Conservative minister-turned-Reform UK spokeswoman was found dead at her home in Haytor on Dartmoor at about 11.40am on July 8 after sustaining serious injuries.Kerry, from Rotherham, South Yorkshire, will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court tomorrow morning.He was first arrested on suspicion of murder on July 11, two days after the 78-year-old Reform UK spokeswoman was found dead at her home in Devon. A court has heard that Joshua Kerry walked into Ann Widdecombe's kitchen while she was eating lunch and struck her 21 times on the head with a hammer. He then allegedly tipped her out of her chair, took her wallet and drove away.  Twenty-one blows. Inside her own home. While she was simply sitting down to eat her lunch. Whatever the eventual verdict, the allegations presented in court paint a horrifying picture of brutality. Tonight I'm asking a bigger question: What the hell has happened to Britain? This is not simply about one appalling killing. It is about the growing sense that our country has become harder, colder and more violent.  Too many elderly people are frightened inside their own homes. Too many criminals appear to have no respect for life. Too many decent, law-abiding people feel abandoned by a system that seems incapable of protecting them. But there is another deeply disturbing question that must also be examined.  Was Ann Widdecombe targeted because of who she was and what she believed? We do not yet know whether politics played any part in this killing. That is a matter for the evidence and ultimately the court. But the question cannot simply be dismissed. Was this solely a savage robbery, or was there also a political motive?  And if Ann Widdecombe was targeted because of her beliefs, what would that say about the toxic state of politics in modern Britain? For years, political opponents have been demonised rather than debated. Public figures are abused, threatened and treated as though they are not human beings. Social media rewards hatred, outrage and intimidation. Have we allowed legitimate political disagreement to become poisonous? Have we created a climate where people are no longer merely challenged over their views, but despised because of them? How did we reach a point where an elderly woman could allegedly be attacked with such unimaginable violence in the sanctuary of her own kitchen? Has the collapse of personal responsibility, family values, discipline and respect for authority created a society where acts of extreme violence are becoming increasingly normalised? Have politicians of every party failed in their most basic duty — to protect the public? Tonight we will examine the shocking evidence heard in court, ask whether there is any indication that the killing was politically motivated, and debate what this dreadful case tells us about crime, public safety and the state of modern Britain. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark and Adam McManus U.S. to Iran: Stop persecuting Christians The United States is calling for Iran to end its persecution of Christians. According to Open Doors, it's the tenth worst country in the world. In one case, authorities in the country sentenced a Christian convert to nearly 10 years in prison back in May. Forty-two-year-old Ghazal Marzban is now on a hunger strike. A State Department spokesman told Fox News Digital, “We are aware of these reports. It is reprehensible that the Iranian regime continues to persecute religious minorities, including Iranian Christians.”  Dr. Hormoz Shariat with Iran Alive Ministries told Fox News that Christians in Iran are courageous in the face of persecution. Listen. SHARIAT: “Believers in Iran are full of [the] Holy Spirit. They are courageous. They're out there. Many of them are living, and some of them are dying for Jesus. I see such a courage among the Iranian Muslim background believers.” Revelation 12:11 says, “And they overcame [the Devil] by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.”  America restarted naval blockade against Iranian ports On Tuesday, the United States restarted its naval blockade against Iranian ports. This comes after the Islamic Republic continued to attack commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. Yesterday, the U.S. military carried out more strikes on Iran. President Donald Trump threatened strikes on Iran's infrastructure next week unless the country reopens negotiations.  Pro-life British Member of Parliament was killed A pro-life British politician was found dead at her home on July 9th. Seventy-eight-year-old Ann Widdecombe had served as a conservative member of Parliament from 1987 to 2010. The Catholic politician was an outspoken opponent of abortion. Counter-terrorism police report that she was clearly the victim of a targeted attack and are still investigating a motive. Supreme Court Justices ask for additional security Here in America, U.S. Supreme Court Justices testified before Congress about threats to their lives. The Supreme Court is requesting nearly $15 million in additional funds from Congress for the personal security of the justices. Justice Amy Coney Barrett talked about one incident when she was the victim of an erroneous call to her residence. BARRETT: “Roughly six weeks ago, I was the victim of a swatting incident. At that point, my teenage son, one of my teenage sons, opened the door to go out with friends and saw in our street it was full of police cars who had responded to a false report of gunshots and raised voices in my home. “I was very, very grateful that I had Supreme Court Police outside my home because they were able to stop and meet with, and explain to the county police, that it had been a false alarm. And so, the police did not actually attempt to enter our home.” Conservative justices faced intense threats surrounding the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade in 2022. For example, Justice Amy Coney Barrett had to be sent home with a bullet proof vest when threats were high. In Proverbs 8:35-36, Wisdom says, “For whoever finds me finds life, and obtains favor from the LORD; but he who sins against me wrongs his own soul; all those who hate me love death.” Christian student required to attend a perversion assembly A Christian middle schooler in Washington State is suing her school district for violating her faith. Highline Public School District in Burien, Washington held a mandatory so-called “Inclusion Assembly” back in May. The event covered topics that conflicted with the girl's Christian faith. So, she asked to be excused, but the school forced her to participate.  The American Center for Law and Justice filed a lawsuit against the school last week on behalf of the Christian student. The ACLJ stated, “Our client is a little girl who has done nothing but live out her faith with kindness and respect for others.” Only 33% of Americans trust churches, down from 60% in 2001 A new Gallup survey found that Americans don't trust institutions in the United States. Only 27% of U.S. adults expressed confidence in major institutions. That's down from 43% in 2001. These institutions include banks, churches, Congress, the military, public schools, and the medical system.  Thirty-three percent of Americans express confidence in churches and organized religion. That's down from 60 percent in 2001. Tyrannosaurus Rex fossil sold for $50 million A Tyrannosaurus Rex fossil sold for a record-breaking $50.1 million in New York on Tuesday. A paleontologist discovered the skeleton on a ranch in South Dakota in 2021. Known as “Gus”, it's one of the largest and most complete dinosaurs ever discovered.  Paleontologists claim that Gus lived about 67 million years ago. However, scientists discovered a T. Rex fossil in 2005 that contained unfossilized soft tissue.  Answers in Genesis noted, “Soft tissue is not compatible with an old Earth, and yes, it is indeed a powerful confirmation of the Biblical timeline.”  Worldview listeners from Manitoba, Indiana and Kentucky weigh in Azalia Marten in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada wrote me and said, “I want to thank The Worldview team for writing the newscast every weekday.  I greatly appreciate your views. NEW YORK TIMES JOURNALISTS ISSUED SUBPOENAS REGARDING THEIR REPORTING ON AIR FORCE ONE.// -----BEGIN TEARLINE------International Events-Middle East: The war continued to escalate overnight, with the attack/counterattack cycle no longer being distinguishable, as all belligerents are now attacking constantly. At least two more ships have been struck in the Strait of Hormuz since last night, and the US has continued to fly continuous sorties to strike targets within Iran. Dozens of targets were struck overnight, with CENTCOM announcing that the sorties took 5 hours to complete throughout the region. As of this morning, nearly all of the targets that have been struck have been within a few hundred yards of the Gulf, with heavy concentrations of targets being located within Bushehr, Bandar Abbas, Chabahar, and Jask, all of which are major naval bases. Most of the Gulf islands have also been struck, with Qeshm and Kish Islands being targeted heavily this afternoon.Conversely, Iran has conducted their own strikes in Jordan, Bahrain, Qatar, and Kuwait. In Kuwait, Iranian forces have conducted counter-battery fire on American HIMARS missile launcher sites, with multiple ballistic missile strikes taking place at most of the US bases and missile launch sites all day.Analyst Comment: Over the past 24 hours, the war in the Middle East has returned to the level of fighting first observed during the height of the war back in March. How long this is planned to continue is unknown, but this is not a slight increase in targeting; the war appears to be fully back on once again.United Kingdom: This morning Counterterrorism police released more details regarding a high-profile murder case that took place last week. On Thursday, Ann Widdecombe was found murdered in her home in the town of Haytor in Devon. After her murder was discovered, local authorities immediately referred the case to counterterrorism, and one suspect has already been arrested in conjunction with this case. This suspect has been charged for the murder, and as of this morning terrorism offenses have been added to the list of charges.Analyst Comment: This case is noteworthy as most of the information so far indicates this was a political assassination, and the speed at which authorities have immediately declared this to be a terrorism incident is very, very unusual. Widdecombe was a former Member of Parliament, and in her later years was a familiar conservative political commentator known to weigh in on political issues throughout the nation. More details may or may not come to light in due time regarding the identity of the suspect, but due to the high-profile nature of this murder, this case will be in the headlines for a while.-HomeFront-Washington D.C. - Yesterday a total of five New York Times reporters have been subpoenaed to appear before a grand jury, to testify regarding their reporting on the alleged security breaches onboard the new Air Force One. Last week, President Trump flew to Turkey for the NATO summit on the new airframe, but during the trip, an undisclosed security issue prompted the Secret Service to switch back to the older platform.Analyst Comment: The details of exactly what the alleged crimes are, have not been disclosed. The New York Times has a history of publishing content which could lead to security issues, but in this case nothing they wrote in their original report appears to have been classified. However, they did explicitly state that they had a source who had classified knowledge of the defenses (or rather, the alleged lack of defenses) on the new Air Force One platform, which is probably why the harsh crackdown on the New York Times. They also made the claim that the new airframe has not had enough time to install the anti-missile countermeasures of the older platform, though no detail on this was provided. Regardless, talking to journalists in any capacity about any of the protection measures used by the White House is a huge no-no, and one of the most sensitive issues that always results in a very heavy-handed response.-----END TEARLINE-----Analyst Comments: As the war in the Persian Gulf rages on, concerns are growing regarding the apparent widening of the war to include the Red Sea region. The mutual targeting between the Saudis and the Houthis in Yemen has continued to some degree, though it's too soon to tell if either party is committed to turning this into a more protracted fight. If that is the chosen course of action, the situation is likely to get very serious.While the Strait of Hormuz remains a hot warzone that has restricted the flow of about 20 million barrels per day out of the region, the Saudi East-West Pipeline system has been working to reduce this deficit by pumping roughly 7 million barrels per day during most of this conflict. This has eased the burden of Hormuz being cut off, and has been one of the main factors keeping oil from reaching $200 per barrel. However, this pipeline runs from the Gulf, across the desert, before terminating in Yanbu at a major oil export terminal. This terminal....is within missile range of the Houthis. Somewhat interestingly, there are also very little air defenses in the southern regions of Saudi Arabia despite the Saudis fighting the Houthis for a couple of decades at this point; nearly all missile defenses are on the northern coastline or in the vicinity of American bases. So far during this conflict, the Iranians have successfully struck the Yanbu oil terminal using extremely long-range (and slow-flying) drones. Today, counter terrorism police are now leading the investigation into Ann Widdecombe's death. A 28-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murder has been re-arrested on suspicion of commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism.The investigation was previously being handled by Devon and Cornwall police who had previously said there was "nothing to suggest" the murder was politically motivated.
