Coming off the bye, the front office made a massive statement, acquiring three key defensive players: Phillips, Alexander, and Carter II. We break down what this haul means for a unit that has struggled and whether these additions officially make the Eagles the team to beat in the NFC. It's all leading up to the Week 10 showdown against the Green Bay Packers!

The Eagles come off their bye week for a Week 10 marquee matchup on the NFL Schedule, as they head to historic Lambeau Field for a Monday Night Football battle with the 5-2-1 Green Bay Packers. Jalen Hurts has led the Birds to a 6-2 start on the heels of a Super Bowl ring, and there were defensive reinforcements added to fold at the trade deadline, with high-energy edge rusher Jaelen Phillips and two cornerbacks, with the standout former-Packer, Jaire Alexander, and former-Jets defender, Michael Carter II. This game is crucial in the race for the NFC's top seed. AJ Brown was not traded, as again we see the fictional delusional stories and 'sources' of the national media exposed as frauds. DeVonta Smith is on a career-best season trajectory and the march to January is in progress for the Super Bowl Champions. The Sixers are young and exciting but still inconsistent, and certainly not Finals contenders, despite the phenomenal start from Tyrese Maxey and their exciting rookie Edgecombe. The Embiid era of dominance is well in the rearview, Paul George is a disaster of an acquisition, and the team has gaping holes compared to other East contenders. WE ARE BACK!!! AFTER A YEAR LONG HIATUS, BOSTON CELTICS GAME DAY RECAP IS BACK AND SO ARE THE CELTICS!The Celtics dropped their season opener 117-116 to the 76ers in a heartbreaking fashion. After building a 13 pt lead, Philly led by Tyrese Maxey and Rookie Sensation VJ Edgecombe, went on a tear and pulled off a gritty win in Boston. Losing to Philly always hurts but it hurts a bit more when Embiid is a shell of himself. He was truly horrible tonight but Maxey and Edgecombe combined for 74 points!!There were a lot of positives to take from today as well as some negatives. From a positive standpoint, this team is going to be fun to watch. They pushed the pace, got out in transition, rebounded significantly better than I was expecting because of a gang rebounding mentality where they all crash and they still have a good offensive punch. From a negative standpoint, losing an All NBA Defender like Jrue Holiday is going to be a problem against guard heavy lineups like this 76ers team. Their transition defense, although it improved the second half, was horrible in this game leading to 21 pts.
