While I (slightly) prefer Mega Man 3's harder difficulty and sliding abilities, there's no doubt that Mega Man 2 is the game that made the Blue Bomber a star. 8 robot masters, the most powerful weapon in Mega Man history, an awesome soundtrack, and a more forgiving gameplay loop.
