We who live in free countries don't normally think about what we'll do in a time of persecution. But that time is coming and God's people need to be ready for it. From our first day of ministry in the Middle East, we were struck by the vibrant faith of the underground church leaders, their stories a testament to the power of perseverance in the face of adversity. We are headed for an overwhelming surprise. The true and faithful won't be able to meet in public churches during the time of trouble. In fact, the public church will be very hostile to them. The faithful will be bewildered, confused and traumatized. They will have to orient themselves to an underground church that will provide solace and fellowship. But what do we need to do now to prepare to take our church fellowship experience underground? What does “underground” mean?
