Hebrews 13:3 — “Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them…” 2 Thessalonians 3:3 — “But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.” Across the world, believers face surveillance, imprisonment, fear, and daily danger. Global searches rise for “persecuted Christians,” “secret worship,” and “underground church survival.” Today, we stand with them. PRAYER Lord Jesus, we lift the Persecuted Church with deep reverence and urgency. Strengthen the Underground Church, the Whispering Church, the Secret Church wherever your people are hunted for their faith. We pray for believers in North Korea, Somalia, Eritrea, and Afghanistan — shield them from torture, arrest, betrayal, and despair. Father, fill hidden rooms with supernatural courage; soften the hearts of captors; blind the eyes of informants; and surround pastors, mothers, and young disciples with impossible protection. Let the gospel advance in the darkest places with unstoppable fire. Sustain families torn apart, restore those traumatised, and embolden those preparing to stand firm today. Let your presence be their fortress and your word their breath. Amen. PRAYER POINTS prayer for protection, prayer for secret worship, prayer for hidden believers, prayer for imprisoned Christians, prayer for persecuted families, prayer for gospel courage, prayer for supernatural endurance LIFE APPLICATION Pray today for one persecuted nation by name, asking God to strengthen believers who cannot worship openly. We lift before You the persecuted believers of North Korea, Somalia, Libya and Eritrea — nations where faith in Christ is treated as a crime, where gathering is dangerous, where Scripture is hidden, where worship is silent, where courage costs everything. In this unforgettable episode of Shoulder to Shoulder, Pastor Doug and Rabbi Pesach sit down with Dr. Michael Brawan of Kenya and Rev. Adam Hajj Muhammad of Somalia, a former imam whose decision to follow Jesus cost him almost everything. Adam describes his childhood in a radically devout Muslim family, his rise as a respected Islamic judge and mosque builder, and the moment a divine encounter shattered everything he thought he knew. From that point on, his life became a dangerous walk of faith.  Adam shares how his public declaration of Christian faith triggered a violent backlash: his mother and wives were murdered, early converts were slaughtered, and there was a price on his head. Dr. Brawan recounts the extraordinary rescue operation that smuggled Adam out of Somalia in a coffin, and Adam explains why he later chose to return and plant underground churches despite the constant threat of torture and death. Recorded in Jerusalem while leading an African Christian delegation through Israel, this conversation shines a piercing light on the brutal persecution of Christians in Africa — and on the kind of courageous faith that refuses to back down.

From IRAN to AFGHANISTAN, from ERITREA to SUDAN, and from London to the hidden corners of persecuted regions, millions stand firm in Christ where following Jesus costs everything. This scripture remains one of the most recited passages among persecuted believers because it confronts suffering with unbreakable hope. Although they are hunted, silenced, imprisoned, or displaced, God has not abandoned them. His presence remains stronger than every chain, every wall, every accusation, and every threat. Today we lift our brothers and sisters who gather secretly, whisper prayers in locked rooms, worship in remote villages, and share the gospel at great personal risk. May the Holy Spirit strengthen them beyond human endurance and surround them with supernatural courage.Prayer Points Prayer for protection over secret believers, prayer for courage in underground gatherings, prayer for strength for prisoners of faith, prayer for endurance under interrogation, prayer for safety over hidden churches, prayer for hope in isolation, prayer for bold witness in danger, prayer for provision for displaced families, prayer for the gospel to advance under pressure, prayer for God's presence to sustain persecuted believersLife Application Remember persecuted believers today and speak 2 Corinthians 4:8–9 in solidarity with them. Send us your feedback — we're listening1 Peter 4:12–13 — Faith Under Fire: Prayer for the Persecuted Church“Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.” — 1 Peter 4:12–13 (NIV)Recorded live here in London, England with Reverend Ben Cooper.Across China, Iran, North Korea and Somalia, believers meet in secret, whispering the name of Jesus where faith is forbidden or watched. Many search quietly for “prayer for persecuted Christians,” “underground church,” and “courage to stand for Christ.” Scripture tells us these trials do not mean God has forgotten His people. In the fire, their faith is being refined and His glory is being revealed. In hidden rooms, prison cells and quiet homes, followers of Jesus risk jobs, freedom and safety to stay loyal to Him. The world may not see them, but heaven does. Their courage strengthens the whole body of Christ. Their worship in the dark is as precious to God as any song in a crowded church.Lord Jesus, we pray for Your persecuted church in China, Iran, North Korea, Somalia and every nation where faith in You is costly. Protect secret gatherings. Hide believers from those who seek to harm them. Strengthen prisoners of faith. Comfort families separated by persecution. Provide food, shelter and safe places to meet. Give boldness to pastors and house church leaders. Let Your word spread with power even in the hardest places.Prayer focus: Pray for protection over underground and secret churches; pray for prisoners of faith to know the nearness of Christ; pray for courage, joy and endurance under pressure; pray for children growing up in fear to encounter the love of Jesus; pray for governments and authorities to be softened and changed by the gospel; thank God for the courage and faithfulness of persecuted believers.Life application: Remember the persecuted church in your daily prayers. Ask God to make your own faith bold, steady and unashamed.Declaration: Jesus is Lord over every persecuted believer. His glory will be revealed and His church will stand.Call to action: Share this prayer and help others stand with the persecuted church through DailyPrayer.UK.Support the showFor more inspiring content, visit RBChristianRadio.net — your home for daily devotionals, global prayer, and biblical encouragement for every season of life. The persecuted church walks through valleys the world rarely sees — yet Christ walks with them. Psalm 23:4 is one of the most searched verses globally for those seeking courage under pressure, light in darkness and strength when faith is tested. Across China, North Korea, Eritrea, Iran and Afghanistan, believers cling to this promise with unshakeable hope. prayer anchors Day 2 in PERSEVERANCE, standing with our brothers and sisters who refuse to let fear silence their faith. For many Christians, faith comes at a cost — secrecy, isolation, imprisonment and constant danger. Yet in every hidden room, prison cell, and whispered gathering, Jesus is present. The rod and staff of Christ protect, comfort and guide. No government, law or threat can remove His presence. The Holy Spirit fills underground believers with a courage that cannot be extinguished. Persecuted believers remind us what courage truly looks like — worship in silence, prayer behind closed doors, Scripture hidden in hearts, and faith held tightly when the world pushes back.Their valley is dark, but Christ's light is brighter. Their path is dangerous, but His presence is stronger. Today, as we pray for them, we also reflect on our own faith: Are we willing to stand? Are we willing to remain faithful? The Spirit strengthens both them and us. We lift China, North Korea, Eritrea, Iran and Afghanistan before You, Lord. Send us your feedback — we're listeningRomans 8:28 — God Works in All Things: Perseverance for the Persecuted Church“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” — Romans 8:28Recorded live here in London, England with Reverend Ben Cooper. Across the world right now, countless believers worship Jesus in silence, secrecy and danger. Romans 8:28 remains one of the most searched verses because persecuted believers cling to this truth when everything around them shakes. From China to North Korea, from Eritrea to Somalia, from Afghanistan to India, the church under pressure stands with unbroken faith. This is our Faith Under Fire prayer — part of the Ultra Ecosystem Arc — where courage becomes perseverance. When the world opposes them, Christ strengthens them. When darkness rises, God is still working for good.Romans 8:28 was written to a church facing suffering, uncertainty and hostility — a mirror of what many believers face today. Yet Paul declares that God remains sovereign in every trial. Persecuted believers do not have freedom, safety or visibility — but they have Jesus. And Jesus is enough. The Holy Spirit strengthens them in prison cells, in house-church gatherings, in whispered midnight prayers. What the enemy meant for destruction, Faith under fire reveals the purity of devotion. Persecuted believers do not follow Jesus for comfort — they follow Him because He is truth, life and the only hope that cannot be taken away God is working in all things, even when the battle feels relentless. We pray for China, North Korea, Somalia and India — nations where believers face oppression, imprisonment, intimidation and loss.Lord, surround the underground church with Your protection. What happens when a young woman raised under communist atheism begins to question why authorities are so afraid of a God they claim doesn't exist? Join us for Svetlana Khomiak's remarkable journey from Soviet indoctrination to profound faith in this powerful testimony.Growing up in Ukraine during the height of communism, Svetlana experienced the full force of atheist teaching—"no God, beautiful life" was the constant refrain. But a summer stay with her grandmother, who secretly hosted worship services in her rural home, planted seeds of curiosity that would eventually lead to an extraordinary encounter. Following a mysterious, supernatural guidance—worship music that only she could hear—Svetlana was led directly to a secret house church hidden in an apartment building, defying all logical explanation.Refusing to wear the red communist scarf, see the consequences of Svetlana's newfound faith and strong conviction, from persecution to a communist household transforming with God's power.Whether you're facing opposition for your beliefs or simply curious about how faith survives under extreme pressure, Svetlana's story reminds us that God will always lead genuine seekers to ultimate truth. Naghmeh Panahi's Powerful Testimony In this episode of At Risk Radio, hosts Mark Stafford and David Witt sit down with author and advocate Naghmeh Panahi to reveal what life is truly like right now for Christians inside Iran. As political conflict rages and daily realities include bomb shelters, fuel shortages, and soaring food costs, the underground Church is facing an emotional and spiritual storm. Naghmeh shares compelling firsthand accounts of fear and uncertainty, but also describes how the Gospel is spreading through house churches, fueled by bold faith and solidarity from believers around the world. International prayers and messages of encouragement are like a lifeline, bringing comfort and empowering Iranian Christians to keep sharing hope, even at great risk. Despite persecution and extraordinary challenges, a remarkable revival is underway as Iranians turn to Christ in unprecedented numbers. The conversation highlights the difference between political headlines and the spiritual reality: God is moving powerfully among the Persecuted Church. Now, more than ever, Iranian believers need the Global Church to stand with them, not just in prayer, but in practical support. To play your part in encouraging and empowering these courageous Christians, consider donating to SOM International and helping bring hope to the Church at risk. SOM International

The church in Iran today is thought to be the fastest growing church in the world, in spite of intense persecution. Why is that? In this episode Matt talks with Lana Silk, the CEO of Transform Iran. Lana grew up in an Iranian Christian family in The Islamic Republic of Iran during the Iran-Iraq War and the early years of Ayatollah Khomeini. She talks of the state's indoctrination of even primary school students - teaching hatred towards Israel and America and she relates the harsh curbing of freedoms in those years, particularly for women. But she also recounts how the same strict form of Islamic Law and Government in Iran unexpectedly has led many Muslims to a hunger for something different, leading hundreds of thousands of them to discover Jesus.Check out and get behind Transform Iran's incredible ministry by visiting transformiran.comSupport the show_________________________________________________________________________________Do get in touch if you have any questions for Matt or for any of his guests.matt@frontiers.org.ukYou can find out more about us by visiting www.frontiers.org.ukOr, if you're outside the UK, visit www.frontiers.org (then select from one of our national offices).
