The sermon mentioned the phrase, “A lot can happen in seven days.” How does thetransition from the despair of Good Friday to the joy of Easter Sunday help youunderstand the concept of “Living Hope”?3. Imagine being in Mary Magdalene's shoes—what thoughts or emotions might youhave experienced upon finding the empty tomb? How does her encounter with therisen Christ shape your understanding of hope?4. Pastor Mick said Easter is “proof that good overcomes evil...light overcomesdarkness.” What personal experiences or moments have reminded you of this truthin your own life?5. The Message translation of the passage says, “we've been given a brand-new lifeand have everything to live for.” What does this “brand-new life” look like for youpractically?6. The quote, “He didn't wait for me to get it right. He died knowing I couldn't, andloved me anyway,” was highlighted as a summary of the gospel. What does thisreveal about the nature of God's mercy? How does that change how you seeyourself? How does that change how you see others?7. If Jesus has done all the heavy lifting, why do you think our response of faith is stillessential? What does “faith” look like in your day-to-day life?8. Have you ever fallen into the trap of trying to earn God's love or approval, even afterbecoming a Christian? What helps you shift your mindset back to grace?9. The sermon introduced the “Romans Road to Salvation.” Which verse from that pathspeaks most deeply to you right now, and why? (Romans 3: 10, 3: 23, 5: 8, 6: 23,10: 9-10, 10: 13)10. “Living Hope” is not just for Easter Sunday—it's for every day. What does it mean foryou to carry that hope into your relationships, challenges, and daily routines?Prayer for the Week:Gracious and merciful God, we thank You for the gift of Living Hope through theresurrection of Your Son, Jesus Christ. As we reflect on the journey from the cross to theempty tomb, we are reminded that You meet us in our weakness with grace that neverfails. Help us to live each day in the truth that we don't have to earn Your love—you'vealready given it freely. Strengthen our faith to trust in Your promises, and guide us towalk in the new life You've made possible, sharing Your hope with a world still in need ofYour marvelous light. May our hearts continue to become a little more like Jesus and alittle less like ourselves, anchored always in Your love and mercy. We pray all of this inthe name of our risen Savior and Lord, Jesus the Christ. Amen.

Sharing the gospel is central to the Great Commission. But doing so on a day-to-day basis is more complicated than we often want to admit. It's definitely more complex than just memorizing the Romans Road or learning a three-step approach for door-to-door witnessing. So in this episode, we want to ask two different questions about sharing the gospel: first, we want to ask why don't we do it, and second, how should we change the way we think about sharing the gospel?Listen to the audio version here: https://theconqueringtruth.com/2025/04/what-stops-christians-from-sharing-the-gospel-ep-213-audio/Timecodes00:00:00 Failure to Evangelize00:08:36 False Fears00:11:33 Belief in Hell00:14:53 Disobedience00:19:59 Gifting vs Practice00:26:48 Different Venues00:35:36 Hospitality00:40:04 Ready to Give an Answer00:49:28 Listening00:58:17 Answer a Fool01:21:59 Using God's WordProduction of Reformation Baptist Church of Youngsville, NCPermanent Hosts - Dan Horn, Charles Churchill and Joshua HornTechnical Director - Timothy KaiserTheme Music - Gabriel Hudelson

Greg explains that the "Romans Road," a handful of cherry-picked verses from the first half of Paul's Letter to the Romans, is the interpretive lens for man Protestants. They read the words of Jesus through this limited view of Paul. But when he began reading Paul through Jesus' Sermon on the Mount and parables, Catholicism lept of the pages. And the Protestant Romans Road became his Road to Catholic Rome. Support this ministry so more people can consider Catholicism! This week, we pause to share our grief with you as we deal with the loss of Amber's dad. We have assurance, however, that he is with Jesus right now! Amber had the chance a few years ago to share the gospel with him, and he came to Christ that night. And so, we glory in that peace - that one day, we will all be together again! During today's conversation on Back Porch Theology we're getting granular about the divine, salvific grace Paul riffs on early in his letter to the Romans. We're going to take a long pause in our collective amble down the Romans Road so as to marinate in the concept of justification. We're going to do an in-depth review of how the sinless life and sacrificial death of Jesus Christ made it possible for rebellious, sin-riddled yahoos like us to be reconciled with a perfectly righteous God. Because all too often we church folk tend to volley multi-syllabic theological terms like “justification” and “sanctification” and “propitiation” amongst ourselves like innocuous doctrinal pickle balls without giving too much thought to the grief and gravitas they represent. In much the same way we blithely wear crosses as mere jewelry or prominently display it in the form of a hip tattoo, forgetting what that Roman torture device – equivalent to a medieval guillotine or modern-day electric chair, which I can't imagine someone wearing as a fashion statement – represents…that the King of all kings chose to leave His throne in glory, condescend to human form and humble circumstances, only to be betrayed and abandoned by His closest friends and ultimately have stakes hammered into His feet and wrists so He could be suspended in the air like a human shish-kabob while a cruel mob jeered His torture and subsequent murder because Jesus knew His blood was the necessary price that had to be paid in order to justify – to make us right – with God. We're not going to skip past the hard facts of what He sacrificed for our redemption today y'all because quite honestly doing so mitigates the miracle of our salvation. So please grab a great big mug of strong coffee and your Bible – unless of course you're in the hot-wax stage of a manicure – and come ponder the audacious kindness of King Jesus on the porch with Alli, Dr. Howard and me.

Mason continues our series on the Romans Road with the verse Romans 6:23. Here he speaks about being set free from the slavery of sin through Jesus Christ.
Jack continued our series called Romans Road. Where we have made our second stop along the way. The stop this week was Romans 5:8 and Jack pointed out that it is actually so crazy that our God loves us so much that he sacrificed His own son to pay the price of our sins. We learned that is there is only Good News because there is bad news. And Jesus is the greatest Good News we can hope for.
Aaron started our new series, Romans Road. This series has 5 stops, where we look at the important steps to take and acknowledge on our journey to salvation. Hopefully, through this series, you will be confident in your ability to share the good news of the Gospel to others around you and that they too can find salvation in Jesus Christ.

Send us a Text Message.Ever stood at the base of the pyramids or wandered through the ancient ruins of the Acropolis? We have, and these experiences have profoundly shaped our worldview and our children's perspectives on life. Road to Redemption | Cody McQueen--Notes
As Christians, it is our responsibility to share the Gospel. God's word makes it abundantly clear that our mission is to spread the Gospel. For some, sharing the Gospel is simple, for others it is nerve-wracking. At Woodside, we believe in making disciples, by reaching the world and our local communities with the saving grace of Christ. People everywhere desperately need Jesus. Spreading the Gospel should not be difficult or anxiety-driven, but rather an authentic conversation on faith and the need for Jesus. The book of Romans points out our need for Christ, why it is essential to share the Gospel, and where our salvation comes from. We see four truths from various chapters in Romans on a basic framework for sharing the Gospel. We see that all have sinned, all deserve judgment, God offers us grace, and that salvation comes through faith. Join us in a one-off sermon, Visiting the Romans Road: How to Share the Gospel.
Pastor Tim continues his verse by verse study on the book of Romans. This is a WEDNESDAY night sermon. (Romans 3:23, 6:23, 5:8, 10:9, and 10:13)
If you grew up evangelical, you know about, “The Sinner's Prayer.” Romans 9:10-11 is usually the prooftext for this prayer. Today, we are exploring this passage in its larger context of Paul's extended riff (9-11). It turns out, the very thing Paul is arguing for, salvation by faith not works, is the very thing the sinners prayer has become, a work. The good news is that there are no requirements to be a child of God. To emphasize this full inclusion, Paul closes his argument with a hymn of euphoric praise, “For from him and through him and to him are ALL things.”
Last week we followed the Romans Road, (R - U - Ready?). This week will be somewhat of a sequel as we learn about the Four Spiritual Laws and how they led an atheist to become a Christian (R - U - Saved?).
The Romans Road is an amazing tool for evangelism that uses verses from the book of Romans to walk through the various aspects of the gospel. In this episode, we'll talk about how to use this method of evangelism to share the gospel with someone effectively.

In this episode, Jordan shares insights from his new book, The Sacredness of Secular Work, and reminds us that our daily jobs have significance for eternity even when we are not explicitly sharing the gospel. Join Jordan and I as we talk about: Value of our daily secular work (05:59) Rehearsing for eternity (12:15) Half-truths for heaven (10:16) Most surprising discoveries from Jordan's research (21:37) The anti-bucket list (23:00) Tips for how to make disciples (27:12) Using conversation launchers to have more intentional conversations (27:54) Favorite quotes: 05:59 - “The value of secular work depends upon the value of creation and the value of creation depends on what God's going to do with this creation in the end.” 10:16 - “The half-truths of heaven rob our joy and purpose in the present and hope for the future.” 12:15 - “The very same thing I am doing today is simply rehearsing something that is eternal and one day will be perfectly consummated with Christ on the new Earth.” 20:21 - “We mere Christians working as entrepreneurs and baristas in the pews inevitably feel guilty about working in the very places most likely to make disciples of Jesus Christ.” 27:27 - “When you understand that 100% of your time at work matters for eternity and not just the 1% of the time you spend walking somebody through the Romans Road, you are fully alive and fully alive people attract the lost like honey attracts bees.” Coaching this week: 42:12 We are wrapping up our Clarity Questions for 2023. Many evangelicals are taught to share the gospel according to “The Romans Road,” which charts a path through the book to explain the path to salvation. But English theologian and prolific author N.T. Wright says that while anything that highlights how God's love reaches out to humanity is good news, the book of Romans itself paints a far more beautiful picture of salvation than The Romans Road can encapsulate. On this episode of The Russell Moore Show, Wright and Moore discuss Wright's new book on Romans 8, Into the Heart of Romans: A Deep Dive into Paul's Greatest Letter. Their conversation includes the storyline of Scripture, what it means that there is “no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8), and what keeps people from realizing that God is love. They talk about atonement theories, fear of judgment, and embracing the fact that Christians do not need to fear, for God is with them (Psalm 23). Moore and Wright consider the meaning of covenant faithfulness, covenant justice, and the groaning of creation. They discuss the ecological impact of eschatology, how Romans can be a comfort to the hurting, and the meaning of the term “predestination.” Their conversation covers prayer, women in ministry, and how Wright knows for sure that Christianity is true. Tune in for an episode that is both theologically rich and characterized by humility, kindness, and joy.
