One of the challenges of modern legal journalism is recalling that case law, doctrine, and Supreme Court decisions aren't a complete picture, without including the lived realities of the people whose lives and communities are often turned upside down by changes in the law.On Tuesday night, the Supreme Court's far-right flank vastly expanded its holding in Louisiana v. Callais to make it harder, if not impossible, to challenge racist voting maps designed to suppress Black votes. The shadow-docket decision misrepresented its own holding in Callais and discarded a case it had already decided. With the conservative supermajority tossing a lower-court panel's finding in Allen v. Milligan and further erasing voting rights for Black Americans across the country, Amicus revisits our 2022 conversation with Evan Milligan, the named plaintiff, at the time the case first came to the high court. Milligan explained what's at stake for the very real people living in gerrymandered districts in Alabama's Black Belt region; a gerrymander blessed this week that was forbidden just three years ago.Later, Dahlia Lithwick talks with Andrew Weissmann, an MS NOW legal analyst, NYU law professor, and veteran federal prosecutor who served as lead prosecutor under special counsel Robert S. Mueller and as chief of the DOJ's Fraud Section. Even with Opinionpalooza heating up at the high court, Weissmann pauses to analyze a busy week in democratic dismantling at the Justice Department and on Capitol Hill. And, Weissmann proposes something truly shocking— real accountability for public officials who lie, as laid out in his new bestselling book, Liar's Kingdom: How to Stop Trump's Deceit and Save America. John welcomes back former top Justice Department and FBI official Andrew Weissmann to discuss his recently published New York Times No. 1 best-seller “Liar's Kingdom: How to Stop Trump's Deceit and Save America.” Weissmann lays out the book's proposals to criminalize election lies or disqualify politicians found guilty of them from seeking office again. He also weighs in on the Trump administration's push for a $1.8 billion slush fund to pay off supposed victims of lawfare, its own pattern of politically motivated prosecutions, and Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche's central role in both. After years of Trump stating that the US elections are unsafe and riddled with widespread fraud, he is pushing the SAVE America Act which will "boost election security." In response, critics have declared that the administration is trying to influence the elections while simultaneously reducing voter rights. KCSB's Inesha Ranasinghe-Denish has the story.
This is the one we promised. Our full, unedited conversation with our first guest of Season 3; with public defender, creator, and iconic Survivor player Eliza Orlins. A slice of it ran in Thursday's episode. Here's the whole thing.Eliza anchored "Cover to Cover-Up," 24 straight hours live streaming a reading of the Epstein files, Cory Booker filibuster style, after Steve Schmidt and the Save America movement connected her with the redacted reading room in Tribeca. She takes us inside how it actually came together, the overnight scramble to fill the midnight to 7:30 AM hours, and what it felt like to read victim testimony out loud for a full day.She has been on the Epstein beat since 2018, when she watched the Manhattan DA's office quietly request a downward departure on his sex offender registration level, something she says she had never once seen in 15 years of public defending. She walks through what is actually in the files, the two million plus pages still hidden, the improper redactions in the pages we do have, and the Treasury documents that implicate Jamie Dimon and the banks. Then she makes the point that lands hardest: in every horrific case she ever read as a public defender, there was at least the promise of accountability. With Epstein, the richest and most powerful men in the world (Elon Musk, Donald Trump, Leon Black) have faced none. The reading room is now going on the road and opening two blocks from the White House, just in time for Trump's birthday. There is more here than made the Thursday cut. Eliza gets into the Democratic "autopsy," Rob Flaherty's much more honest version of it, and why she thinks the left is decades late on building real creator infrastructure because no one is watching cable news anymore. It is the clearest case we have heard for why shows like this one exist. Then things get a bit more personal as Eliza explains why she believes she will never be invited back to Survivor after she publicly torched CBS over its hard right turn, the $16 million settlement, Bari Weiss taking over CBS News, and a returning contestant's on air antisemitic rant. There are Survivor 50 hot takes, a MAGA alliance theory, and a Roy Moore connection you will not see coming.A programming note: this episode includes discussion of child sexual abuse and trafficking. Listener discretion advised.Send us a text!New episodes of Vibes Only drop every week. Brian and Glennis are back with their first guest of Season 3, and it is a big one. Public defender, creator, and iconic Survivor player Eliza Orlins joins to talk about the 24 hours she spent live streaming a reading of the Epstein files, Cory Booker filibuster style, after Steve Schmidt and the Save America movement connected her with the redacted reading room in Tribeca.Eliza has been on the Epstein beat since 2018, when she watched the Manhattan DA's office quietly request a downward departure on his sex offender registration level, something she says she had never once seen in 15 years of public defending. With Epstein, the richest and most powerful men in the world (Elon Musk, Donald Trump, Leon Black) have faced none. The reading room is now going on the road and opening two blocks from the White House, just in time for Trump's 80th birthday. Then it gets personal. Eliza explains why she believes she will never be invited back to Survivor after she publicly torched CBS over its hard right turn, the $16 million settlement, Bari Weiss taking over CBS News, and a returning contestant's on air antisemitic rant. There are Survivor 50 hot takes, a MAGA alliance theory, and a Roy Moore connection you will not see coming. After Eliza, Brian and Glennis turn to the Texas runoff that just wiped out John Cornyn. Ken Paxton, who is indicted, impeached, settled a whistleblower suit for $3.3 million in taxpayer money, and is comically corrupt by any measure, won by nearly 28 points on the strength of a single Trump endorsement. It capped the most expensive primary in US history at over $100 million, with roughly $80 million of that spent against Paxton, and it did not matter. Brian and Glennis dig into the chicken and egg of a Trump endorsement, why an unelectable nominee may be the best case scenario for Democrats and James Talarico, and the growing list of Republicans Trump is turning into lame duck enemies inside his own caucus. Then, in What Fresh Hell Is This number 642: the UFC cage Trump is building on the White House lawn for his birthday, the billionaires set to watch from the front row, Paramount's $7.7 billion UFC deal, and the illegal online casino sponsoring the whole thing that Trump keeps posting about. Brian and Glennis make the case that the whole spectacle is rage bait engineered to make liberals look out of touch, and lay out how to talk about it without taking the bait. They close on a genuinely good vibe out of South Carolina, where the state Senate killed a new map that would have eliminated its only majority Black district. And one more thing: a bonus episode with Eliza Orlins drops this Friday.A programming note: this episode includes discussion of child sexual abuse and trafficking. Next, Hawk calls for expanding the Supreme Court by four seats, drawing nominees from federal judges who held the line against the Trump administration, including Judge Boasberg. Ketanji Brown Jackson gets the nod for Chief Justice. Puerto Rico and Washington DC become states, adding four new senators and giving millions of Americans real representation for the first time. Roe v. Wade gets codified into law nationwide. And critically, Hawk argues Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries must not lead the Senate or House, citing their stated loyalties to foreign interests over their own base. All four items fit on one piece of paper. Voting rights. Court reform. Statehood. Reproductive rights. That's the plan. In America’s first hundred years, the animal you were most likely to see was a passenger pigeon. And you saw a lot of them. Flocks were so numerous they literally blotted out the sun for days and their combined weight snapped the branches of entire forests where they roosted. Yet by 1914, the last specimen, a female named Martha, died at the Cincinnati Zoo, marking the complete extinction of what had been North America's most abundant bird numbering in the billions just decades earlier. Early Americans assumed the nation's bird populations were infinite, so market hunters fashioned homemade cannons to blast sleeping ducks by the dozens, "pigeoneers" shipped passenger pigeons by the trainload to city restaurants, and feather hunters shot rare birds worth more than their weight in gold so Gilded Age women could wear plumes in their hats. What followed was an unlikely coalition of bird-lovers like Roosevelt, gunmakers, business titans, and brave game wardens who transformed American conservation. They couldn’t save the passenger pigeon, but they saved other species from extinction, like the Canada Goose and the trumpeter swan. Today's guest is James H. McCommons, author of The Feather Wars: And the Great Crusade to Save America's Birds. We discuss how Roosevelt used executive powers to create the first federal bird refuge at Pelican Island in 1903, why the revolutionary 1918 Migratory Bird Treaty Act made nearly all wild birds wards of the federal government while inadvertently establishing that federal law supersedes state law, and how conservation success stories including wild turkeys, wood ducks, trumpeter swans, and bald eagles were all brought back from extinction's brink. McCommons also warns that America faces a new crisis reminiscent of the Gilded Age. Since 1970, one in four birds (about 3 billion) in North America have been lost, with backyard species like sparrows, blackbirds, warblers, and finches disappearing as indicator species foreshadowing greater environmental collapse.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Elon Musk warns the U.S. is “1,000%” headed for bankruptcy without AI and robots to supercharge growth, but economists push back, arguing that only pairing innovation with real spending cuts, tax reform, and pro‑growth policy can keep America from a debt‑driven collapse.

In this episode, Carl Jackson discusses the importance of election integrity and the Save America Act. He expresses frustration with Senator John Thune's decision to punt on the bill, which aims to ensure federal elections are fair by requiring proof of citizenship to vote. Carl shares examples of voter fraud, including hundreds of unopened ballots found in a dumpster in Washington state and tens of thousands of dead people and non-citizens on voter rolls. He also talks about the need to address the issue of illegals and temporary protected status, and how it affects the country. Tonight, four extraordinary patriots – three American, one British – will join forces to help Save Texas and Save America from the threat sharia-supremacism poses to both, and Western civilization more generally. The event will take place in Dallas and feature remarks by the U.K.'s Tommy Robinson and U.S. Congressmen Keith Self and Chip Roy and Texas State Representative Brent Money. Each has been powerfully raising alarms about the stealthy jihad that has long – and increasingly successfully – been waged by the Muslim Brotherhood and others determined to replace the West's tradition of freedom with the slavery of Islam's totalitarian sharia political-military-legal system. We will celebrate these courageous leaders tonight as they urge the 1.9 million Texans who voted last month to prohibit sharia in their state – and others who will be voting in November – to catalyze such actions there and across America. On this episode of the podcast, Amanda Head discusses with Martha Jenkins, President of the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW), the urgency of the upcoming midterm elections and the lack of critical legislation being passed by Republicans. Jenkins emphasizes the importance of the SAVE AMERICA Act and DHS funding for voter turnout, noting that 80% of voters support Voter ID and no non-citizen voting. She highlights healthcare, particularly mental health and drug costs, as key issues for women. Jenkins also addresses the transparency and accomplishments of President Trump, despite his controversial statements. They conclude with a call to action for women to join NFRW chapters and engage in politics.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
With Iran saying they will not attend peace talks in Pakistan and the reality of a US strike on Iranian infrastructure now likely, I want you to listen to a clip we found of President Trump shortly after he and Mike Pence won the 2016 election. He told us 10 years ago why he was leaving his comfortable private life and stepping up to - as he said even back then - SAVE AMERICA. The ship the US Navy fired upon and boarded was carrying WMDs. The Department of War is ready to use lasers as its latest weapon against Iran.
In this episode of Politics in Question, Lee and James chat about the SAVE America Act. What is the partisan tension behind putting up a voter ID bill? How could this policy harm Republicans? What is the relationship between cloture and filibusters? These are some of the questions that Lee and James explore this week. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. What happens when one of Donald Trump's oldest friends and one of America's toughest attorneys decides it's time to take on the system? In this powerful episode, legendary attorney Peter Ticktin joins Michael Jaco to discuss the legal battles that could shape the future of America. Ticktin has been practicing law since 1972 and has spent decades fighting cases most lawyers would never touch. From exposing the mortgage robo-signing scandal during the Great Recession to helping all 50 state attorneys general secure a $30 billion settlement from the banks, Ticktin has built a career standing up to powerful institutions. Peter shares why he believes America is facing one of the greatest legal and constitutional crises in its history. He explains why he is now involved in fighting for justice for January 6 defendants, election integrity advocates like Tina Peters, and Bitcoin pioneer Joby Weeks, who he says have all been denied due process and equal treatment under the law. Ticktin discusses what he believes really happened after January 6th and why he sees the prosecutions as part of a broader attack on conservatives and political dissent. He also explains why the case against Tina Peters is one of the most important voter fraud cases in the country and why he believes proving election fraud is critical to preserving the Republic. The conversation also covers the collapse of trust in the justice system, the growing weaponization of government agencies, and why Peter believes America needs a dramatic legal reset. Peter explains why he has decided to seek the position of Attorney General of the United States and what he would do differently if given the opportunity. According to Ticktin, the Department of Justice has lost its way, and the only solution is to restore equal justice under the law. This episode also explores: Peter's lifelong friendship with Donald Trump that began at the New York Military Academy, What inspired his book What Makes Trump Tick, His involvement in exposing the bank fraud scandal that led to the $30 billion settlement, The legal fight for Tina Peters, Joby Weeks, and the J6 community, Why he believes America is at a constitutional crossroads, And why he says the country needs leaders willing to fight when no one else will. Peter Ticktin has appeared in The New York Times, CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, and in films such as The Man You Don't Know about Donald Trump. He has argued cases before the Supreme Court of Canada, helped define legal doctrines across multiple states, and built The Ticktin Law Group on the principles of Creativity, Cost-effectiveness, and Communication. Now, he says, the biggest battle of his life may still be ahead.

1. DHS Shutdown and Airport Crisis The discussion centers on a prolonged Department of Homeland Security (DHS) shutdown that led to unpaid TSA agents, widespread airport delays, and near-collapse of airport operations. President Trump issued an emergency order to ensure TSA agents were paid, averting a potential nationwide airport shutdown. The crisis is framed as a direct consequence of Senate Democrats refusing to vote on DHS funding. 2. Political Strategy Behind DHS Funding Democrats are deliberately defunding DHS to block immigration enforcement, particularly ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement). Republicans ultimately agreed to a short-term funding bill that restores pay to most DHS employees except ICE, as a temporary measure to reopen government operations. Republicans plan to use budget reconciliation (which requires only 50 votes) to pass long-term funding for ICE and border enforcement, potentially locking in funding for up to 10 years. 3. ICE and Border Enforcement Dispute ICE funding becomes the central ideological battleground. Democrats are openly opposing immigration enforcement, including: Deportation officers (ERO) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), which handles terrorism, human trafficking, cybercrime, and child exploitation Republicans argue that Democrats’ stance jeopardizes national security and public safety. 4. Senate Votes and Procedural Maneuvering The DHS funding bill ultimately passed the Senate by voice vote late at night, signaling no formal opposition at the moment of passage. The House is expected to pass it, restoring operations and pay for most federal personnel. This outcome is a tactical but temporary Democratic win, soon to be reversed via reconciliation. 5. SAVE Act and Voter ID Controversy The SAVE Act seeks to: Require proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote Require photo ID to vote Democrats publicly claim to support voter ID but unanimously voted against a standalone voter ID amendment. Numerous quotes from Democratic leaders supporting voter ID are contrasted with their actual Senate votes, highlighting alleged hypocrisy. Republicans argue that voter ID has overwhelming bipartisan public support. 6. Media Accountability Most mainstream media outlets are accused of shielding Democrats from accountability. CBS News is highlighted as an exception for openly reporting the contradiction between Democratic statements and votes. 7. “Arctic Frost” Investigation (Modern Watergate) The transcript describes a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing into “Arctic Frost,” alleged to be a DOJ operation targeting Donald Trump and conservative institutions. Claims include: Hundreds of subpoenas Surveillance of ~20% of Republican senators Subpoenas for campaign staff, donors, and private citizens Wiretapping of attorney-client communications The scale is described as far exceeding Watergate. 8. Alleged DOJ and FBI Weaponization The Biden administration is accused of politicizing the Department of Justice and FBI. Democrats are criticized for refusing to condemn or even discuss these actions. A sharp contrast is drawn with Watergate-era Republicans who confronted their own party’s president to uphold institutional integrity. Please Hit Subscribe to this podcast Right Now. WarRoom Battleground EP 972: Republicans Call Democrats Bluff With SAVE AMERICA ACT
1. Purpose of the SAVE America Act Requires proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote. Requires photo identification to cast a ballot. Common-sense legislation aimed at protecting election integrity rather than restricting voting access. 2. Legislative Status The Senate voted 51–47 to bring the bill to the floor. All Republicans supported the motion except Lisa Murkowski, with one Republican absent. Democrats are uniformly opposed. The bill likely will not pass without 60 votes unless Republicans force a prolonged “talking filibuster.” 3. Argument for Voter ID There is overwhelming public support for voter ID: ~81% of Americans ~75% of African Americans ~80% of Hispanics ~70% of Democrats (non-elected) Voter ID is already required for many everyday activities (flying, banking, driving, alcohol). 4. Rebuttal to Discrimination Voter ID laws DO NOT suppress minority votes. Supreme Court decision upholding Indiana’s voter ID law. Minority voter participation increases when ID laws are implemented. Characterizes opposition arguments as “insulting” to minorities. 5. Immigration and Election Integrity 12 million undocumented immigrants entered the U.S. during the Biden administration. Democrats intentionally allow illegal immigration to influence future elections. Connects open borders to potential voter fraud, despite no specific evidence cited in the speech. 6. Accusations Against Democrats Wanting insecure elections Opposing safeguards deliberately Hypocrisy in claiming to “defend democracy” Uses historical references (Jim Crow, KKK) to counter accusations of racism. 7. Filibuster Strategy Force Democrats into a traditional talking filibuster. Explain Senate rules and physical demands of extended floor speeches. Acknowledge Republicans currently lack the 50 votes needed to sustain this strategy. Please Hit Subscribe to this podcast Right Now. On Tuesday's Mark Levin Show, Joe Kent, the former deputy at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, is a reportedly serial leaker who was hostile to President Trump's agenda and rejected the commander-in-chief's decisions on military operations in Iran. His resignation letter, written publicly for the press and Democrats rather than privately to the president, is intentionally crafted to create controversy, undermine the president's war effort against, question the existence of an imminent threat, give aid and comfort to enemies, and dishonor current military personnel. Later, Sebastien Lai, son of Jimmy Lai who's imprisoned in Hong Kong, calls in. Jimmy Lai is a prominent courageous Hong Kong pro-democracy advocate, media owner, and journalist who stood up against China's crackdown on Hong Kong's freedoms. Despite his age, Lai has been imprisoned since the crackdown began. Sebastian expresses gratitude for Trump's public support and mentions that releasing the elderly Lai would be an easy, moral, and rational gesture for China, especially amid upcoming diplomatic opportunities, but stresses that more pressure is needed as his father's health rapidly worsens and his death in prison would serve no one's interest. Afterward, Sen Rick Scott calls in to explain that the Senate must look at all the options to pass the SAVE America act because the Democrat party wants fraud. Learn more about your ad choices. Episode 5220: Secret Deals Behind Live Nation Settlement; SAVE America Act Must Pass
This week on the Mark Levin Show, the ISIS attack in New York carried out by two young immigrants is unfortunately only the beginning of such incidents. Iran has pre-positioned hit squads because of the Biden administration's open borders and Democratic leaders like Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries. Mayor Mamdani's response to this terrorism was appalling. Then, for the media, and now for most politicians, what's most important is not winning this war against Iran AND ensuring it's not replaced by another monstrous regime, but the price of gasoline on a daily basis. Of course, when phony climate change policies were being instituted and drove up the price of gasoline, oil, electricity, automobiles, etc., we didn't get a daily barrage of such reports. But now, we even get charts and other graphics showing us the day-to-day increase in gasoline. If this military campaign is ended prematurely, and the second phase of ensuring the institution of a civil government is not accomplished, chances are this entire effort will be for naught. The economic, geo-political, and national security gains, which have been immense, and the stated goal of liberating the Iranian people, which initiated this process, could become a disaster in every respect -- including political. The ruling class elitists in Europe and America betrayed their countries by refusing honest debate about uncontrolled immigration of Islamists. These elites encouraged and allowed overwhelming border surges, motivated partly by Islamist strategies to conquer the West. In the U.S., Democrats pursued open borders, try to defund enforcement like ICE to build a future voting base of illegal immigrants. Islamists will vote Democrat temporarily before ultimately destroying both parties and taking over, as seen in parts of Europe, NYC, and Dearborn. The NYC terrorist attack is an example: two young Muslim men, inspired by ISIS, attempted to bomb an anti-Islamist protest, shouting "Allahu Akbar" but the devices failed. Mainstream media and Democrats downplayed or obscured the Islamist terrorist motive, framing it vaguely as devices at an anti-Muslim rally, condemning Islamophobia instead, and avoiding the truth of a near-mass-casualty jihadist attack, which the speaker sees as part of a broader pattern of cover-up by media and elites who tolerate or support such threats. Later, the SAVE America act is a no brainer and Democrats desperately oppose it because they benefit from fraudulent practices enabled by big-city political machines. Sen Chuck Schumer acts like a modern George Wallace by insisting everyone should vote—not just legal voters—allowing illegal ballots, double voting, or votes for the deceased to neutralize legitimate votes. Much of this fraud is allegedly legalized, making proof difficult and necessitating stricter statutes like voter ID requirements. The United States is a nation at war with itself, dividing Americans into two sides: patriotic, red-blooded citizens who love their country on one side, and elected Democrats in Washington—along with their operatives, Marxists, Islamists, the woke Reich neo-fascists—on the other. The Democrat Party policies undermine national security and sovereignty, such as opening borders to unvetted illegal aliens for years, allowing dangerous individuals to remain in the country. There are escalating attacks targeting Jews and Jewish facilities, such as the attack on the Temple Israel synagogue in Michigan. Then there's the shooting at Old Dominion University by a gunman was previously convicted for ISIS support. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Also, the Iranian regime is not finished off. Let's stick with the plan. Condition-based operations. The media and the Democrats will howl like coyotes no matter what. Any economic impact will be temporary. But the worst outcome would be a prematurely declare victory and the Iranian regime lives to slaughter and nuke another day. Finally, Mort Klein, National President of the Zionist Organization of America, calls in and explains that that the United States would need to confront and attack Iran even without Israel's existence, due to nearly 50 years of direct hostility toward America. This operation must continue to dismantle the regime, protect American lives, prevent nuclear acquisition, and support Iranians desiring freedom, marking the end of past U.S. policies of delay and concessions.
