In this episode, the speaker dives into the Save America Act and its potential to save California and the nation from the grip of election fraud. The state of California has become a hotbed of voter manipulation, with lax laws allowing for ballot harvesting, no voter ID, and millions of ballots being sent to unverified voters. The speaker argues that the federal government has a constitutional right to intervene in state elections, citing Article One, Section Four, Clause One of the Constitution. The speaker highlights the egregious examples of election irregularities in California, including the recent mayoral election in Los Angeles, where a candidate was accused of ballot harvesting and voter registration at homeless shelters. The speaker also touches on the George Floyd Effect and its impact on Western civilization, as well as the importance of preserving Western values and traditions. The speaker also discusses the recent news of the White House Fraud Task Force cutting off funding to Los Angeles' homeless program due to mismanagement and potential fraud. This development raises questions about the accountability of California's politicians and the need for reform. In this episode, the speaker makes a compelling case for the Save America Act and its potential to restore integrity to the electoral process. If you're concerned about the state of our democracy and the manipulation of elections, tune in to hear the speaker's arguments and insights. On Tuesday, June 2, truth, accountability, and the future of American democracy took center stage in BigTentUSA's conversation with Andrew Weissmann –"MS NOW" legal analyst and veteran federal prosecutor. Moderated by Reed Galen of The Union, Weissmann discussed themes from his new book "Liar's Kingdom: How to Stop Trump's Deceit and Save America", arguing that the growing normalization of political lies poses a serious threat to democratic institutions. He highlighted a key contradiction in American law: while lies in business, courtrooms, and congressional testimony can carry legal consequences, political lies often do not.Weissmann emphasized that restoring trust requires more than defending old norms. He called for stronger legal safeguards, reforms to prevent the weaponization of government power, and greater transparency from institutions such as the Department of Justice. He also argued that future leaders must be willing to confront past abuses rather than simply “look forward,” warning that accountability is essential to preserving the rule of law.The conversation ended with a clear challenge: democracy is not self-executing, and protecting it requires public engagement, institutional reform, and a refusal to accept corruption or dishonesty as normal.Learn more about Andrew's new book “Liar's Kingdom”:https://www.hachettebookgroup.com/titles/andrew-weissmann/liars-kingdom/9780316601306/ Check out Andrew's Substack newsletter “Behind the Headlines” and listen to his podcast “Main Justice”: https://weissmann.substack.com/https://www.ms.now/main-justiceLearn more about Reed's projects The Union, The Lincoln Project, and his latest Civic Forum here:https://www.jointheunion.us/https://lincolnproject.us/https://www.civicforum.org/ABOUT THE SPEAKERS:Andrew Weissmann is an NYU Law School professor and widely respected legal analyst on "MS NOW". He was a lead prosecutor in Robert S. Mueller's Special Counsel's Office, Chief of the Fraud Section in the Department of Justice, General Counsel of the Federal Bureau of Investigation under Director Mueller, a leader of the Enron Task Force, and started out as an organized crime prosecutor in Brooklyn. He is a co-host of "MS NOW's" award-winning podcast "Main Justice" and, before that, "Prosecuting Donald Trump". He has written two "New York Times" bestsellers, "Where Law Ends: Inside the Mueller Investigation", and, as co-author, "The Trump Indictments: The Historic Charging Documents With Commentary", and also writes the Substack newsletter "Behind the Headlines". He holds degrees from Princeton and Columbia Law School, was a Fulbright scholar, and teaches at NYU School of Law. He is a New Yorker through and through.Reed Galen is an independent political strategist, co-founder of The Lincoln Project, and currently serves as the President of The Union, a nationwide coalition working to rebuild American democracy from the ground up. The Union brings together volunteers, organizers, and local leaders to support decent, competent candidates at every level of government. Under Reed's leadership, The Union is building the infrastructure needed to show up in all 50 states and strengthen civic engagement nationwide. This is a public episode. Josh opens the show with a fiery case for why Congress must pass the SAVE America Act immediately, pointing to the ongoing vote-counting chaos in California, where ballots are still being counted more than a week after Election Day. Josh argues that Americans deserve election results they can trust and questions how one of the nation's largest states continues to struggle to deliver timely outcomes. Joining the program is Joel Pollak, Opinion Editor at California Post, who provides the latest on California's vote count and examines whether the outcome was driven by election fraud, controversial ballot-harvesting practices, or a system that many voters believe lacks transparency. Pollak and Josh discuss what these delays mean for election integrity and whether reforms are urgently needed. Later, Josh turns to Iran as the United States launches another round of strikes against the regime. He breaks down President Donald Trump's latest comments and argues that the recent military action reveals something critical about the President's approach to foreign policy: strength, deterrence, and a willingness to act when America's interests are on the line. Josh explains why he believes the administration's actions are sending a clear message to both Tehran and America's adversaries around the world.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Tensions continue to simmer in the Middle East, as U.S. Central Command says U.S. forces have completed an additional round of defensive strikes against multiple targets in Iran at President Trump's direction. On Thursday morning, President Trump posted on Truth Social saying that the U.S. will continue with strikes in Iran, and that the U.S. will be hitting Iran ‘very hard tonight.'One day after President Trump signed a Republican-only bill to fund immigration enforcement agencies, he calls on Congressional Republicans to immediately advance and pass a third budget bill to supplement the Department of War and an election integrity bill. The goal is to give the pentagon $350 billion for developing America's Golden Dome and manufacturing stealth fighters and stealth bombers. Trump is also calling for lawmakers to include in the party line package the SAVE America act to ‘protect our Elections for Generations to come.'The New York Knicks, pulling off the biggest comeback in Game 4 of the NBA Finals, beating the San Antonio Spurs 107-106. The Knicks were down 29 points at one point, but slowly made up the deficit in the second half, with OG Anunoby tipping in a rebound with 1.2 seconds left on the clock, sealing the victory for New York. Game 5 is on Saturday, and would secure the championship for New York if they win. If necessary, game 5 will be held on Tuesday.

One of the challenges of modern legal journalism is recalling that case law, doctrine, and Supreme Court decisions aren't a complete picture, without including the lived realities of the people whose lives and communities are often turned upside down by changes in the law.On Tuesday night, the Supreme Court's far-right flank vastly expanded its holding in Louisiana v. Callais to make it harder, if not impossible, to challenge racist voting maps designed to suppress Black votes. The shadow-docket decision misrepresented its own holding in Callais and discarded a case it had already decided. With the conservative supermajority tossing a lower-court panel's finding in Allen v. Milligan and further erasing voting rights for Black Americans across the country, Amicus revisits our 2022 conversation with Evan Milligan, the named plaintiff, at the time the case first came to the high court. Milligan explained what's at stake for the very real people living in gerrymandered districts in Alabama's Black Belt region; a gerrymander blessed this week that was forbidden just three years ago.Later, Dahlia Lithwick talks with Andrew Weissmann, an MS NOW legal analyst, NYU law professor, and veteran federal prosecutor who served as lead prosecutor under special counsel Robert S. Mueller and as chief of the DOJ's Fraud Section. Even with Opinionpalooza heating up at the high court, Weissmann pauses to analyze a busy week in democratic dismantling at the Justice Department and on Capitol Hill. And, Weissmann proposes something truly shocking— real accountability for public officials who lie, as laid out in his new bestselling book, Liar's Kingdom: How to Stop Trump's Deceit and Save America. John welcomes back former top Justice Department and FBI official Andrew Weissmann to discuss his recently published New York Times No. 1 best-seller “Liar's Kingdom: How to Stop Trump's Deceit and Save America.” Weissmann lays out the book's proposals to criminalize election lies or disqualify politicians found guilty of them from seeking office again. He also weighs in on the Trump administration's push for a $1.8 billion slush fund to pay off supposed victims of lawfare, its own pattern of politically motivated prosecutions, and Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche's central role in both. After years of Trump stating that the US elections are unsafe and riddled with widespread fraud, he is pushing the SAVE America Act which will "boost election security." In response, critics have declared that the administration is trying to influence the elections while simultaneously reducing voter rights. KCSB's Inesha Ranasinghe-Denish has the story.
This is the one we promised. Our full, unedited conversation with our first guest of Season 3; with public defender, creator, and iconic Survivor player Eliza Orlins. A slice of it ran in Thursday's episode. Here's the whole thing.Eliza anchored "Cover to Cover-Up," 24 straight hours live streaming a reading of the Epstein files, Cory Booker filibuster style, after Steve Schmidt and the Save America movement connected her with the redacted reading room in Tribeca. She takes us inside how it actually came together, the overnight scramble to fill the midnight to 7:30 AM hours, and what it felt like to read victim testimony out loud for a full day.She has been on the Epstein beat since 2018, when she watched the Manhattan DA's office quietly request a downward departure on his sex offender registration level, something she says she had never once seen in 15 years of public defending. She walks through what is actually in the files, the two million plus pages still hidden, the improper redactions in the pages we do have, and the Treasury documents that implicate Jamie Dimon and the banks. Then she makes the point that lands hardest: in every horrific case she ever read as a public defender, there was at least the promise of accountability. With Epstein, the richest and most powerful men in the world (Elon Musk, Donald Trump, Leon Black) have faced none. The reading room is now going on the road and opening two blocks from the White House, just in time for Trump's birthday. There is more here than made the Thursday cut. Eliza gets into the Democratic "autopsy," Rob Flaherty's much more honest version of it, and why she thinks the left is decades late on building real creator infrastructure because no one is watching cable news anymore. It is the clearest case we have heard for why shows like this one exist. Then things get a bit more personal as Eliza explains why she believes she will never be invited back to Survivor after she publicly torched CBS over its hard right turn, the $16 million settlement, Bari Weiss taking over CBS News, and a returning contestant's on air antisemitic rant. There are Survivor 50 hot takes, a MAGA alliance theory, and a Roy Moore connection you will not see coming.A programming note: this episode includes discussion of child sexual abuse and trafficking. Listener discretion advised.Send us a text!New episodes of Vibes Only drop every week. Ken Paxton, who is indicted, impeached, settled a whistleblower suit for $3.3 million in taxpayer money, and is comically corrupt by any measure, won by nearly 28 points on the strength of a single Trump endorsement. It capped the most expensive primary in US history at over $100 million, with roughly $80 million of that spent against Paxton, and it did not matter. Brian and Glennis dig into the chicken and egg of a Trump endorsement, why an unelectable nominee may be the best case scenario for Democrats and James Talarico, and the growing list of Republicans Trump is turning into lame duck enemies inside his own caucus. Then, in What Fresh Hell Is This number 642: the UFC cage Trump is building on the White House lawn for his birthday, the billionaires set to watch from the front row, Paramount's $7.7 billion UFC deal, and the illegal online casino sponsoring the whole thing that Trump keeps posting about. Brian and Glennis make the case that the whole spectacle is rage bait engineered to make liberals look out of touch, and lay out how to talk about it without taking the bait. They close on a genuinely good vibe out of South Carolina, where the state Senate killed a new map that would have eliminated its only majority Black district. And one more thing: a bonus episode with Eliza Orlins drops this Friday.A programming note: this episode includes discussion of child sexual abuse and trafficking. Next, Hawk calls for expanding the Supreme Court by four seats, drawing nominees from federal judges who held the line against the Trump administration, including Judge Boasberg. Ketanji Brown Jackson gets the nod for Chief Justice. Puerto Rico and Washington DC become states, adding four new senators and giving millions of Americans real representation for the first time. Roe v. Wade gets codified into law nationwide. And critically, Hawk argues Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries must not lead the Senate or House, citing their stated loyalties to foreign interests over their own base. All four items fit on one piece of paper. Voting rights. Court reform. Statehood. Reproductive rights. That's the plan. In America’s first hundred years, the animal you were most likely to see was a passenger pigeon. And you saw a lot of them. Flocks were so numerous they literally blotted out the sun for days and their combined weight snapped the branches of entire forests where they roosted. Yet by 1914, the last specimen, a female named Martha, died at the Cincinnati Zoo, marking the complete extinction of what had been North America's most abundant bird numbering in the billions just decades earlier. Early Americans assumed the nation's bird populations were infinite, so market hunters fashioned homemade cannons to blast sleeping ducks by the dozens, "pigeoneers" shipped passenger pigeons by the trainload to city restaurants, and feather hunters shot rare birds worth more than their weight in gold so Gilded Age women could wear plumes in their hats. What followed was an unlikely coalition of bird-lovers like Roosevelt, gunmakers, business titans, and brave game wardens who transformed American conservation. They couldn’t save the passenger pigeon, but they saved other species from extinction, like the Canada Goose and the trumpeter swan. Today's guest is James H. McCommons, author of The Feather Wars: And the Great Crusade to Save America's Birds. We discuss how Roosevelt used executive powers to create the first federal bird refuge at Pelican Island in 1903, why the revolutionary 1918 Migratory Bird Treaty Act made nearly all wild birds wards of the federal government while inadvertently establishing that federal law supersedes state law, and how conservation success stories including wild turkeys, wood ducks, trumpeter swans, and bald eagles were all brought back from extinction's brink. McCommons also warns that America faces a new crisis reminiscent of the Gilded Age. Since 1970, one in four birds (about 3 billion) in North America have been lost, with backyard species like sparrows, blackbirds, warblers, and finches disappearing as indicator species foreshadowing greater environmental collapse.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Elon Musk warns the U.S. is “1,000%” headed for bankruptcy without AI and robots to supercharge growth, but economists push back, arguing that only pairing innovation with real spending cuts, tax reform, and pro‑growth policy can keep America from a debt‑driven collapse.

In this episode, Carl Jackson discusses the importance of election integrity and the Save America Act. He expresses frustration with Senator John Thune's decision to punt on the bill, which aims to ensure federal elections are fair by requiring proof of citizenship to vote. Carl shares examples of voter fraud, including hundreds of unopened ballots found in a dumpster in Washington state and tens of thousands of dead people and non-citizens on voter rolls. He also talks about the need to address the issue of illegals and temporary protected status, and how it affects the country. With Iran saying they will not attend peace talks in Pakistan and the reality of a US strike on Iranian infrastructure now likely, I want you to listen to a clip we found of President Trump shortly after he and Mike Pence won the 2016 election. He told us 10 years ago why he was leaving his comfortable private life and stepping up to - as he said even back then - SAVE AMERICA. The ship the US Navy fired upon and boarded was carrying WMDs. The Department of War is ready to use lasers as its latest weapon against Iran.
1. DHS Shutdown and Airport Crisis The discussion centers on a prolonged Department of Homeland Security (DHS) shutdown that led to unpaid TSA agents, widespread airport delays, and near-collapse of airport operations. President Trump issued an emergency order to ensure TSA agents were paid, averting a potential nationwide airport shutdown. The crisis is framed as a direct consequence of Senate Democrats refusing to vote on DHS funding. 2. Political Strategy Behind DHS Funding Democrats are deliberately defunding DHS to block immigration enforcement, particularly ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement). Republicans ultimately agreed to a short-term funding bill that restores pay to most DHS employees except ICE, as a temporary measure to reopen government operations. Republicans plan to use budget reconciliation (which requires only 50 votes) to pass long-term funding for ICE and border enforcement, potentially locking in funding for up to 10 years. 3. ICE and Border Enforcement Dispute ICE funding becomes the central ideological battleground. Democrats are openly opposing immigration enforcement, including: Deportation officers (ERO) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), which handles terrorism, human trafficking, cybercrime, and child exploitation Republicans argue that Democrats’ stance jeopardizes national security and public safety. 4. Senate Votes and Procedural Maneuvering The DHS funding bill ultimately passed the Senate by voice vote late at night, signaling no formal opposition at the moment of passage. The House is expected to pass it, restoring operations and pay for most federal personnel. This outcome is a tactical but temporary Democratic win, soon to be reversed via reconciliation. 5. SAVE Act and Voter ID Controversy The SAVE Act seeks to: Require proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote Require photo ID to vote Democrats publicly claim to support voter ID but unanimously voted against a standalone voter ID amendment. Numerous quotes from Democratic leaders supporting voter ID are contrasted with their actual Senate votes, highlighting alleged hypocrisy. Republicans argue that voter ID has overwhelming bipartisan public support. 6. Media Accountability Most mainstream media outlets are accused of shielding Democrats from accountability. CBS News is highlighted as an exception for openly reporting the contradiction between Democratic statements and votes. 7. “Arctic Frost” Investigation (Modern Watergate) The transcript describes a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing into “Arctic Frost,” alleged to be a DOJ operation targeting Donald Trump and conservative institutions. Claims include: Hundreds of subpoenas Surveillance of ~20% of Republican senators Subpoenas for campaign staff, donors, and private citizens Wiretapping of attorney-client communications The scale is described as far exceeding Watergate. 8. Alleged DOJ and FBI Weaponization The Biden administration is accused of politicizing the Department of Justice and FBI. Democrats are criticized for refusing to condemn or even discuss these actions. A sharp contrast is drawn with Watergate-era Republicans who confronted their own party’s president to uphold institutional integrity. Please Hit Subscribe to this podcast Right Now.
