About Tara: Tara Cheyenne Friedenberg is an award winning creator, performer, choreographer, director and writer. Artistic Director of Tara Cheyenne Performance, she is renowned as a trailblazer in interdisciplinary performance and as a mighty performer "who defies categorization on any level" (The Georgia Straight). Tara is celebrated nationally and internationally for her unique and dynamic hybrid of dance, comedy and theatre. The string of celebrated full-length solo shows to her credit includes bANGER, Goggles, Porno Death Cult, and I can't remember the word for I can't remember, and she partners regularly on multidisciplinary collaborations, commissions and boundary-bending ensemble creations. When she isn't creating innovative movement for theatre, Tara performs around the world. Highlights include DanceBase/Edinburgh, South Bank Centre/London, On the Boards/Seattle USA, and High Performance Rodeo/Calgary. Recent works include The Body Project (premiering 2020/21 season), The River Project with dance artist Miriam Colvin and artist and activist Molly Wickham (premiering 2021 in Wet'suwet'en Territory), empty.swimming.pool with Italian dance/performance artist Silvia Gribaudi, (Castiglioncello and Bassano Italy, Victoria, B.C. and Vancouver, B.C.), how to be (Vancouver, B.C.) , and I can't remember the word for I can't remember (currently touring). Möt Margit Schoberleitner och Karin Meissl, vikarierande slagverkare i Wienfilharmonikerna. Möt även thereminspelaren Dorit Chrysler som flyttade till New York och extremviolinisten Mia Zabelka. I det fjärde programmet i serien Konsten att humla är vi i Wien. Här stod Wienklassicismens vagga. Wienfilharmonikerna har världsrekordet i könsmaktsordning inom den klassiska musiken: en familjär tradition där söner ärver fäders och manliga släktingars plats i orkestern. Bland de kvinnliga tonsättarna finns ingen Fransisca Schubert, Wolfgangina Mozart eller Gustava Mahler. I Wien möter vi slagverkaren Margit Schoberleitner som vikarierar i Wienfilharmonikerna och aldrig  ger upp hoppet utan går till audition efter audition för att bli fullvärdig medlem hos världsmästarna i könsmaktsordning inom den klassiska musiken: endast 0,83 % av de anställda musikerna i Wienfilharmonikerna är ”kvinnor” d  v s en kvinna, som Wienfilharmonikerna har anställt efter 160 år av könssegregering. Vi möter även slagverksstuderande Karin Meissl och Jørgen Fog, fastanställd cellist i Wienfilharmonikerna. Dessutom möter vi violinisten Mia Zabelka. Hon är utbildad vid Muskhögskolan i Wien men vill vara en estetisk motvikt till det musikaliska etablissemanget. Hon använder extremviolin och elektronik. -Det finns ingen plats för kvinnor på orkestermarknaden. Att vara ”vid sidan av” kan ha sina fördelar, säger Zabelka. Vi möter även thereminspelaren Dorit Chrysler, som tröttande på Wien och flyttade till New York där ”gränserna mellan klass och kön suddas ut”. Hon ville uppleva friheten i att vara kvinnlig musiker inom den experimenterande musikscenen. -Kvinnofrågan var en av de största diskussioner vi hade, berättar Jørgen Fog, danskfödd, fastanställd cellist i Wienfilharmonikerna. Jørgen Fog hade en våt dröm: en helmanlig symfoniorkester - som en slags gimmick. Men en statsunderstödd orkester som uteslöt kvinnor var en omöjlighet. Så orkestern tog ett beslut som man aldrig höll. Ingen ytterligare kvinna fastanställdes i orkestern.  -Det finns symfoniorkestrar över hela världen där kvinnor är välkomna. Jag hade inte en tanke på att bli symfoniker här i Wien, eftersom jag visste att det var omöjligt, förklarar slagverkaren Margit Schoberleitner, vikarie i Wienfilharmonikerna. -De musikaliska nätverken gäller inte kvinnor. På musikhögskolan lever kvinnor i en skyddad värld. Där kan vi utveckla oss konstnärligt och spela med männen, men för att få spela i orkestern räcker det inte att vara skicklig på sitt instrument. Man måste vara av manskön, förklarar extremviolinisten Mia Zabelka i Wien. -Några journalister skrev att jag som kvinna kontrollerar en penis, när jag spelar mitt instrument. Helt otänkbart för mig, förklarar thereminspelaren Dorit Chrysler.
