This week on the OTCB Podcast, it's officially game week as the 2023-2024 NLL season gets underway with five games this weekend. Adam Charalambides and the Vancouver Warriors have a new leader in Curt Malawsky which has brought in a brand new culture and look to this team. Bringing in guys like Beers, Lintz, Dilks and Crowley has started to turn the tide in Vancouver; can they make the play-offs for the first time since 2017? With this being opening weekend, we decide to tell you why we think your favourite team will or won't make the play-offs, and give you our pre-season award predictions. Plus, Brandon Robinson of the Bandits is keeping things positive, we've got three games on linear TV and of course another round of BoxBets. All that and more, on this week's OTCB.

In this month's episode we highlight Sonosphere's Sound Observations series. Sound Observations is a quarterly performance and lecture series featuring experimental artists from around the nation. We were honored to host turntablist and DJ Maria Chavez, and vocalist and musician Christina Carter of The Charalambides on May 11, 2018. Maria and Christina's site specific works took place in the atrium of the Crosstown Concourse building, an old Sears Roebuck building retrofitted for art galleries, residential and commercial spaces. The result is echoing vocals and scratchy, vinyl sounds that swirl up a red staircase to the entrance of the stage. Thanks for listening. www.sonospherepodcast.com @sonospod
