In this episode of The She Said It First Podcast, Jerrilyn Lake aka Indeskribeabull and Lynee Monae discuss Big Sean and Jhene Aiko's relationship. Big Sean did an interview with Charlamange Tha God, and they talked about Big Sean getting married to his longtime girlfriend and mother to his child, Jhene Aiko. This led to Jerrilyn and Lynee' speaking about men having many reasons for not getting married but can have a baby. Also, they spoke about Yung Miami's relationship with Diddy. Yung Miami sat down on her podcast, Careesha Please with her best friend, Saucy Santana. The conversation covers themes of relationships, commitment, and societal expectations. In this part of the conversation, the hosts discuss Young Miami's response to Diddy's abuse allegations. They explore the criticism Young Miami received for not speaking out against Diddy's alleged abuse, highlighting the difficulty victims face when they have a positive public image. A social media scammer is charging people to attend his wedding. Jerrilyn and Lynee' talk about the absurdity of charging $450 to attend a wedding and the entitlement behind such a request. The conversation then shifts to the Olympics, specifically the controversy surrounding Jordan Childs' bronze medal being taken away due to a challenge technicality. They question the fairness of the decision and the potential role of racism in the judging process. On “Sista 2 Sista” Jerrilyn and Lynee' also answer a listener's question about maintaining a long-distance friendship. Subscribe and check us out every Thursday. Why is it challenging to acknowledge when you're lying to yourself? How can one maintain a habit of honesty in daily life? Today, let's welcome The Breakfast Club co-host Charlamagne tha God. He is a prominent media personality and New York Times bestselling author, best known for his candid approach to celebrity interviews and his advocacy for mental health. His latest book, "Get Honest or Die Lying," challenges readers to forego the superficial and engage in meaningful, transformative dialogue. Charlamagne shares his insights on the societal detriments of small talk and why superficial conversations are not only a waste of time but also a significant barrier to meaningful human connection and understanding. He argues that the small, meaningless exchanges that fill our daily interactions should be replaced with deeper, more substantial dialogues that challenge, enlighten, and engage us on multiple levels. With Jay, Charlamagne explores the psychological and social impacts of engaging in—or avoiding—small talk. He illustrates his points with personal anecdotes and experiences, including his own struggles and breakthroughs in striving for more genuine interactions in both his personal life and professional endeavors. He stresses the importance of being present in conversations, listening actively, and expressing one's true thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment. In this interview, you'll learn: How to initiate deeper discussions How to be honest in conversations How to set personal boundaries How to reflect on personal growth How to encourage others to engage This episode not only challenges listeners to evaluate the quality of their own conversations but also inspires them to make every word count in the quest for deeper understanding and genuine relationships. As of lately, everyone is in an uproar about the recent scare that has been going on around the world. A good example of what's been happening in the sports world, as Kevin Durant among four Brooklyn Nets players tested positive for COVID-19 virus. All four Nets players, including Durant, are in quarantine. Only one of the four is experiencing symptoms. Durant has not exhibited symptoms from the virus. There are now seven NBA players that have tested positive for COVID-19. Rudy Gobert was the first, followed by his Utah Jazz teammate Donovan Mitchell and Detroit Pistons forward Christian Wood. Because of Gobert's positive test and due to concerns over the global outbreak, the NBA suspended the 2019-20 season last week. The league remains hopeful of resuming operations in mid-to-late June. In other news, subsequently, Atlanta's most popular strip clubs are now closed - after a Georgia man allegedly contracted the coronavirus inside a club! That man's story may have scared the strip club owners in Atlanta, because within hours, most of the city's gentlemen clubs announced that they were shutting down. This thing really is that serious! Charlamange Tha God is reportedly considering walking away from The Breakfast Club, as his current contract is nearing its end. His contract does not expire until the end of the year, but a source says that he already has “a lot of other potential deals in the air. He loves working for [Power 105.1 parent company] I Heart Radio, but he is contemplating his next move.” There was some speculation last year, after Charlamagne and Angela Yee allegedly fell out over his interview with Gucci Mane. Gucci was highly disrespectful about his interactions with Yee, and social media slammed him for not defending her. All seems well in the camp at the moment, but if he left the show they would have to replace him -- and who could fill those shoes? One of the father’s of Trap music is offering $1 million to his next label signee, and it could be you! His first artist is a kid name Foogiano, and already he has a hit song with Lil Baby blowing up across social media. Seems like the La Flare might be on to the next guy. You never know! The Illastr8 "HOT TAKE" for this week was, "Do looks dictate if you want or don't want to be in a relationship?" This can go all over the place...let us know and stay tuned!
