At 42% on Rotten Tomatoes, Frozen Empire is the worst reviewed entry in the storied franchise. Those tepid reactions may have been responsible for its soft box office. Costing $25 million more to produce than its predecessor, Frozen Empire grossed slightly less ($201 million vs $204 million worldwide).
