There are six games to go in the Premier League, so we're focusing on the race for Champions League football as Aston Villa take on Newcastle United, while Manchester United and Spurs kept their dreams of qualifying for next season's competition alive with victories in the Europa League. Mark Critchley joins us to talk about a ridiculous night at Old Trafford that saw Ruben Amorim's side score two goals in injury time of extra time, to beat Lyon 5-4 on the night and 7-6 on aggregate. We hear from Jay Harris who was in Frankfurt where a Dominic Solanke penalty saw Spurs win 1-0, so Ange Postecoglou isn't going anywhere quite yet. The Athletic's Newcastle writer Chris Waugh and Aston Villa writer Jacob Tanswell are with us to preview their respective side's clash at Villa Park on Saturday evening, in what could be a pivotal game in the race for Champions League football. There were no surprise results in the League Cup, but there were some surprising moments. Crystal Palace led Arsenal for fifty minutes at The Emirates before succumbing to a Gabriel Jesus hat-trick, Southampton pushed Liverpool all the way in a closer-than-you-might-expect 2-1 defeat. But there was no surprise in Brentford losing away at Newcastle because for some reason Brentford seem to lose rather a lot of their away games. A little earlier than planned after some seriously inclement weather in Wimbledon, Taylor Payne runs the rule over the last seven days in NUFC-land. It's been coming, but that doesn't offer much consolation after a pretty miserable Saturday afternoon at Craven Cottage. Eddie Howe's misfiring Mags finally lost a game despite the best efforts of Harvey Barnes, whose scoring stats have earned a remarkable comparison. Where has our intensity gone, what is the strongest XI, and why are none of our big guns firing? Chris Waugh and Jacob Whitehead attempt to get to the bottom of a frustrating conundrum before Manchester City come calling. No such problems for Becky Langley's Lasses. They got their first ever second-tier win, remain unbeaten, and face an already-struggling Portsmouth next. With Shania Hayles hitting the ground running, spirits are high. 2 Corinthians 9: 5 - 8 The stress of dealing with money in our time—it's real. Sometimes we operate out of a shame state or a scarcity mentality when it comes to managing time or money. But contact with Jesus can heal this worry within us. He takes us from an exacting compulsory life to a spacious life of grace. In this message Chris Waugh shares life stories to help listeners imagine where God may be calling us to expand our capacity to be generous.
