In this emotional and wide-ranging episode Tabs and Jamie tackle the difficult but essential conversation around the recent developments involving ex-Arsenal player Thomas Partey, following his formal charges.. We reflect on the club's handling of the situation, the reaction among Arsenal supporters, and the wider implications for the club's values and reputation. The episode also acknowledges the tragic passing of Diogo Jota and brother André, reminding us all of the human side of football and the fragility of life, even for those in the public eye. From there we move on as, the footballing world invariably does, and the tone shifts as we dive into the world of Arsenal transfers , including the long-awaited arrival of Martín Zubimendi and what his signing means for Arsenal's midfield. We also discuss the striker saga with Victor Gyökeres, the potential arrivals f Noni Madueke & Eze, and why squad depth, floor raising and versatility could be key to Arsenal's upcoming campaign.COME ON YOU GUNNERS!@ The Grove Everyone is Welcome!Find us on Bluesky, Threads and YouTube: @thegroveafcEmail us here: thegrovepodcast@outlook.com***Please take the time to rate us on your podcast app. It means a great deal to us and will make it easier for other potential listeners to find us. On today's DFB: Are Liverpool going to be ok without a big money signing? Is it a worry that they haven't made one? We've borrowed James Pearce from Walk On. Plus, we ask Chris Waugh from Pod on the Tyne where Newcastle are with their pursuit of Marc Guehi...and could they be the dark horses this year? It's pretty much just me asking that one. Plus, what happened in those European qualifiers and were there any shocks in the League Cup? Need something to read? Mark Carey has done a long read on the tactical evolution of the Premier League and it's so well written and accessible that even I understand it.
Ever wondered how the subtle comments about appearance within a family can shape a child's perception of themselves? Join me as we unpack the story of Zubi, a young Bangladeshi-American girl grappling with self-worth and body image in the children's book "Beautifully Me" by Nabila Noor, illustrated by Nabi H Ali. This episode is a deep dive into the silent echoes of adult insecurities that resonate with children, and the transformation that occurs when a family confronts their unintended impact on a young mind.Zubi's first day of school adventure and her family's eventual awakening serve as a mirror to our own behaviors and the powerful influence they hold over the young ones around us. The discussion will leave you reflecting on the importance of nurturing positive self-esteem and challenging the pervasive norms of diet culture. Through the lens of Zubi's experiences, "Beautifully Me" brings to light a message of gratitude and the intrinsic value of beauty, inspiring a celebration of diversity and the push for a more inclusive, multicultural education. Let's explore together how we can foster a healthier, more accepting world, starting with the conversations we have in front of our children. COME SAY Hey!!

Sarah Zubiate, Founder & CEO of Zubi's, shared the story behind her title with us on Sunday, November 14th, 2021.Being raised in the El Paso/Juarez area, Sarah grew up on incredible, family meals centered around her mother Gloria's “famous” salsa. Because Sarah was known to “spice things up”, she shamelessly would add several helpings of lime juice and cayenne pepper to her bowl…leading to what came to be known as "Sarah's Salsa”.Upon the success of this spiced-up salsa, Sarah expanded her cooking expertise by transforming the traditional, often unhealthy staple Hispanic dips - crema and queso - into healthy, allergen-free, plant-based alternatives. For Sarah, this was something she not only wanted to do for her family - many of which suffer from various health issues as well as dairy intolerances - but for others too. With a dedication to better health alternatives, Sarah developed healthy, flavorful products with the mentality of "ZUBI's for Everyone" because she envisioned a world and community brought together through delicious, nutritious food (no matter one's dietary lifestyle or preference).Sarah launched ZUBI Farms and Facility in November 2019. From the beginning, Sarah has focused on ensuring that her dedicated Farm and Facility are zero-waste, certified organic, and always free from the top-8 allergens.SUE SAYS"Sarah grew up humbly in El Paso TX with a loving family and a gift for numbers. Beneath the surface however she questioned why she was so different from her parents. She would later learn she was adopted and it all became clear. What both families shared however was a love of food and so she set out to produce a healthy version of the Latin cuisine."Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/women-to-watch-r/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
Every year from September 15 – October 15, we celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month, and in honor of this highly influential segment of the population, Claritas also releases its annual U.S. Hispanic Market Report. On this episode of The Marketing Insider, popular guest Ron Cohen, VP of Practice Leadership at Claritas, joins us to talk facts and figures. From their behaviors and preferences to their spending habits and more, Ron shares unique data to help marketers effectively engage the fast-growing Hispanic population. Eileen & Lauren chat with gorgeous hilarious comedian Zubi Ahmed!! They talk about the newest episodes of Arthur (D.W. dying from Covid), being toxic on dating apps, being a Capricorn who works hard and plays hard, not being friends with your ex, the little-known secret that Laughing Buddha brings out free food at the end of the open mics, and running away from home to avoid being married off to a man in Bangladesh.
