Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Jason McGovern, Richard Cracknell and Billie T as a second-half fightback fell short as we suffered another Premier League defeat with Fulham taking the points on Sunday. We discuss the nature of the defeat, if we can see any benefits whatsoever so far what Igor Tudor is trying to implement and Spurs being in this seemingly endless battle with VAR and Premier League officiating, and fans may have genuine cause for frustration with the decision to award Harry Wilson's opening goal. The Cottagers should have been out of sight as they missed a number of good chances, allowing us to get a foothold in the match when Richarlison came off the bench to pull a goal back mid-way through the second period. We battled for a much-needed equaliser but couldn't find the goal we craved to suffer a third straight defeat at Craven Cottage, while the result means we haven't won in 10 Premier League games now. Defeats this weekend for all the teams around us towards the bottom of the table mean we remain four points outside of the relegation zone. Fulham has officially "audaciously" pivoted from mid-table safety to European ambition with the £27 million capture of Oscar Bobb. In this episode, we dissect why this "Norwegian wunderkind" is the perfect tactical wildcard for Marco Silva's attacking system. We journey from his silky-skilled beginnings in Oslo to his time as one of Manchester City's "crown jewels," where he racked up a staggering 10 goals and 8 assists in just 22 youth appearances. We discuss how Bobb's low center of gravity and "slippery, inventive" playstyle will mesh with veterans like Willian and Andreas Pereira at Craven Cottage. Is this the move that sees Fulham polish another diamond, or will the Premier League's physicality be too steep a test? Oscar Bobb transfer, Fulham FC news, Manchester City academy, Premier League wonderkids, Marco Silva tactics.

Nottingham Forest are 17th in the Premier League as they lurch from the sublime to the not sublime at Fulham. It wasn't a ridiculously bad performance but why are Forest so inconsistent under Sean Dyche in terms of performances? We'll reflect on the 1-0 defeat at Craven Cottage, discuss January transfer plans as Everton winger Dwight McNeil is targeted and we'll preview the next game against Manchester City. #nffc #nottinghamforest
Wolfie dissects the embarrassing performance against Fulham last night! ⚽Football Prizes⚽ Win Free Forest Shirt!: https://footballprizes.co.uk/club-competitions/nottingham-forest/ It was an afternoon to forget at Craven Cottage as Nottingham Forest slumped to a 1-0 defeat against Fulham. Wolfie is back to dissect what can only be described as a dismal performance from the Reds, where the optimism from recent weeks seemed to evaporate in the London air. We break down the key moments—or lack thereof—and look at where it all went wrong on the pitch as Forest struggled to create anything of note or put the hosts under any real sustained pressure. The post-match inquest starts with the recruitment, as we ask the difficult question: have any of the new signings actually had a real impact? We take a look at the individual performances and try to understand why Forest appeared to be lacking any real fight or urgency against a Fulham side that didn't have to be at their best to take the points. Is there a deeper issue with the squad's mentality, or was this just a collective "off day" at a ground that continues to be a massive hoodoo for the club? As we look at the table, the big concern for many fans is whether this season is now simply dwindling out to nothingness. With safety all but assured but the top half looking further away, where do we go from here? We want to hear your honest thoughts in the comments below—are you worried by the lack of effort, and which signings do you think need to step up? Make sure to like the video, subscribe to the channel, and hit the bell for all the latest Forest Fan TV content. #nffc #premierleague #fulham Learn more about your ad choices. It was an underwhelming night at Craven Cottage, to put it mildly. Both teams were poor, and chances were few and far between, despite Fulham attempting to score after less than 15 seconds. The Reds never got going and only had Murillo's 30 yarder as an effort on goal. In the meantime, Anthony Taylor proved why he is one of the most well-known refs in Premier League history. Welcome to the 3rd Advent/Christmas/Holiday episode this year. It's a read of a children book again, and that book involves a time-traveling boy and his dog. They time travel, through goalposts, to the first organized football match under Football Association rules, in 1863, between Barnes and Richmond. The game was played at Barnes commons, in West London, across the river from Fulham's FCs stadium, the Craven Cottage. And the boy and his dog (Kane is his name, no relation to Harry) mess up football history while there. Or, almost. The book is by Adrian Lobley, and I don't want to give away the whole thing here - I'll read up to chapter 10. Plus: some of the best Christmas-themed stadium chants. Erling Haaland scored his 100th Man City goal in just 111 games last night, but that was only half the story on a crazy night at Craven Cottage. Fulham fought back from 1-5 down to make it a nervy ending for Pep Guardiola's side, but the Citizens held on to keep the gap between themselves and leaders Arsenal at two points before the Gunners face Brentford. Elsewhere, Newcastle twice led toothless Spurs at St James' Park, only for Cristian Romero to score a diving header and a 'bicycle kick', the second of which came halfway through nine minutes of added time, to break black and white hearts on Tyneside. Dharmesh Sheth is joined by Charlie Wyett, Dominic King and Carl Anka to reflect on the weekend's sporting action. We start with Liverpool's much needed victory against Aston Villa; the shocking run is over, but is this a real turning point for Liverpool? Attention then shifts to Arsenal's win at Burnley. Charlie praises Gyokeres' impressive first half, and after a ninth win and seventh consecutive clean sheet, Carl suggests stopping Arsenal is going to be very hard. Then we turn to an unhappy Sean Dyche, after a 2-2 draw against Man United. Carl believes the ball hadn't crossed the line before Casemiro's controversially awarded opening goal.Next up, another defeat for Wolves at Craven Cottage leaves relegation to the Championship looking increasingly likely, and Charlie asks: who would want to take Vítor Pereira's job?We then look to Tottenham, who were booed off at home after a 1-0 defeat to Maresca's Chelsea. With images of Djed Spence and Micky van de Ven walking straight past Thomas Frank at full-time, is the Spurs boss losing the dressing room? And finally, we ask, who's to blame for the revival of long-ball football?*At the time of recording, Vítor Pereira had not yet been dismissed from his position at Wolves.Sunday Supplement is a Sky Sports podcast. In this episode we look back on the 1-0 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday evening. It wasn't a classic but we got the job done thanks to a Leandro Trossard goal in the second half. We discuss the way the game panned out, a slow start turning into Arsenal dominance more or less, another set-piece goal, the penalty incident, and a brilliant performance from Bukayo Saka. In part two we answer questions about scoring from corners and how much they've played a part so far this season, the possible influence of Gabriel Heinze on our defence, the title race thus far and which of Liverpool or Man City poses the most threat, Eberechi Eze and Viktor Gyokeres still coming to terms with their new surroundings, and lots more.Get extra bonus content and help support Arseblog by becoming an Arseblog Member on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/arseblog Hosted on Acast.
