Send us a textIn this enlightening conversation, we welcome 22-year-old serial entrepreneur Sebastian Hjärne, founder and CEO of Talentium, who shares his remarkable journey from school dropout to innovative tech founder. Sebastian opens up about his unconventional path, revealing how his boundless energy and constant stream of ideas made traditional education challenging. Rather than following the prescribed route of university, he chose to dive directly into entrepreneurship immediately after completing school in Sweden, despite concerns from friends and family.Sebastian takes us through his entrepreneurial evolution across three distinct ventures. His first company emerged from identifying the difficulties in technical recruiting, which led to a successful exit after just seven months. His second venture, Clay Green, came from an unexpected source—tennis lessons. After noticing the environmental waste of tennis balls, Sebastian created a company that collects millions of tennis balls, separating the felt for insulation and rubber for children's playgrounds, showcasing his ability to solve problems across vastly different industries. The conversation reveals how these experiences led Sebastian back to his original passion—fixing the broken recruitment process—with Talentium. He describes the platform's innovative approach, using an AI-powered ChatGPT-like interface that streamlines the entire hiring journey. Talentium automates tedious aspects of recruitment while maintaining human connection, allowing users to find candidates, communicate with them, schedule meetings, and even record and summarize interviews automatically.Sebastian shares exciting insights about Talentium's upcoming evolution, explaining how they're refining their approach from seven distinct functions to a single, seamless workflow. He emphasizes their mission to become an essential recruiting tool for businesses of all sizes, from startups to enterprises, by addressing the universal challenge of finding and hiring talent efficiently. The discussion extends beyond Talentium to Sebastian's thoughtful perspectives on the future of AI applications. He cautions against the trend of companies simply adding "AI" labels to their products without solid foundations, stressing that successful AI integration requires robust underlying systems. Sebastian envisions progression from prompt-based interactions to agent-based approaches where AI can autonomously handle complex tasks like booking travel or managing recruitment.Throughout the conversation, Sebastian's entrepreneurial philosophy shines through—identify real problems, build solutions that work, and continually iterate based on user feedback. His journey demonstrates how personal frustrations can inspire innovative businesses, as his struggles with recruitment across all his ventures ultimately led to creating a solution that could transform the industry.Sebastian's inspiring story serves as a powerful reminder that unconventional paths can lead to extraordinary outcomes, and that entrepreneurship offers an alternative route for those who, like him, might not fit neatly into traditional educational structures. The episode concludes with his encouraging message to listeners: "Just start, just do it," reinforcing that the best way to learn is by taking action and figuring things out along the way.You can find Sebastian at: https://www.linkedin.com/in/sebastian-hj%C3%A4rne-4445961a4/https://talentium.io/Interested in joining the podcast? Early on in his life, he embraced an educational and adventurous lifestyle that included extremes like operating nuclear reactors on US Navy submarines, and the engineering and manufacturing meccas of Intel, literally building the technology we don't think about but is powering the ability to do this right now! Mastering those environments led to embracing other extremes as well! Riding Snowboards and Sport Motorcycles, then training riders in both genres and coaching racers became passions for his life! But something was still missing, he still struggled to accomplish ONE thing – Successfully building a business! Then, he hit a deer while riding his motorcycle (a tad bit above the speed limit) directly from the right side, just on the front wheel! This wasn't a ‘near death' experience – he remarkably didn't even CRASH! This was a moment of clarity and performance! After learning the reason, and how he didn't crash, his focus shifted from trying to master the myriad of external “stuff”, to mastering the only environment that really matters – the mind! The reason Clay didn't crash was simple, as he puts it, “The way my brain was operating leveled me up to ‘superhuman performance'!” Applying his 30 years of experience training adults, combined with his diverse set of experiences in military and corporate systems, overlaid with an entrepreneurial spirit, he now helps business owners and executives apply daily practices to safely enter and exit the state of flow and perform in ways they have only dreamed of! ~ Links, Resources & Show Notes: www.thesocialchameleon.show/Clay-Green ~~~ Giveaways at: www.thesocialchameleon.show/pickme . My guest today is Clay Green, motivational speaker, personal trainer and ceo at EnthusiastiClay (I love that!) As a leading instructor for the US Navy, in the Nuclear Power Plant Operations Pipeline, Clay Green was responsible for training hundreds of other Reactor Operators on how to safely and confidently operate a naval nuclear reactor without being distracted by the fact that they were under water, on a submarine, with a torpedo chasing them and a fire burning! Clay’s ability to distinguish between feelings and facts, emotions and thoughts, reactions and contemplative though is what enabled Clay to have a huge impact on dozens of companies, including Intel. Today, Clay focuses his efforts on entrepreneurs and executives by helping them understand how their subconscious affects every decision they face. Clay supports achievers and leaders by empowering them through high-performance habits and tactics to control and manage the state of flow in their lives. His expertise is showing you how to reroute your thinking through tiny, daily practices and habits. Clay has helped people overcome crushing debt, increase performance, and maximize their efficiency and effectiveness. We cover a lot of ground in this interview, including: The importance of mindset How tiny daily practices and habits can be so powerful. How quickly can someone expect to go from average to efficient? In this episode we talked about how to be safely in the zone, pumped up and high on energy without risking your life or doing some crazy things like jumping off the cliffs (hence "safely"). Clay also shared the ONE most often overlooked activity that can change your whole life to achieve more and be more.
How can you increase your performance? What does it take to create a successful business? In this episode of Enlightened Entrepreneur podcast, Clay Green, a high-performance adult trainer from Oregon, shares three important habits you need to master in order to reach your greatest potential in your chosen field. Key Questions Asked: How did Clay get to where he is today? What habits should business owners need to acquire if they want to succeed? Why is it so important for business owners to have quiet time? Highlights of Lessons Learned: Everybody Plateaus When you hit that plateau, you have to be sensitive enough to recognize it and do something to change it. Successful people go out and seek help to get to the next level and to keep progressing. Adult Training Clay helps people understand how their brains are physically wired by the environment and how that limits us. Even with all the high-performance habits and tactics available to you, if you can’t apply it because you’re limiting yourself and your subconscious is stopping you, you can never move forward. Clay’s passion lies in helping people understand how their brain works so that they can take those steps and make a difference in their own lives. 3 High-Performance Habits Go meditate. There is an infinite number of ways to meditate. Do whatever it takes to start and continuously develop a meditation habit. Actively keep a journal. Physically put, pen to paper or pencil to paper kind of journaling. Block out at least five minutes of your day every day. Express Gratitude. The number one easiest thing to journal about every evening is to write down 3-5 things that felt great that day. Why is ‘Quiet Time’ Necessary? The brain is more powerful than anything in the planet, you will never ever be able to tap into the full power of that brain unless you start now by developing meditation habit. Bottomline Your subconscious wants you to never ever move, it wants your stationery. So anytime you go to make a change in your life, such as build a business, start an old habit, or break an old habit – any kind of change is going to be faced with resistance if you don’t do it right. If you set your goals inappropriately, your subconscious is going to try and stop you, if you set it properly, your subconscious is actually going to enable and empower you to go get those goals.
Clay Green, speaker, trainer, and expert. What do you want to do better, in both your business and your life? What ever that "thing" is, Clay can help you apply high performance principles to achieve, excel, and get more out of life. To break the usual destructive patterns blocking your way, have self-awareness and move forward, you need to apply the three fundamental principles: meditation (2-5 minutes a day), journaling, and gratitude. We also talk about getting into the flow state and its four stages: struggle: where you're focused on a problem release: get away from the problem and take a break flow: get inspired recovery: coming back to reality Resources Clay Green (official site) Clay Green on LinkedIn Custom Mastermind Stealing Fire by Steven Kotler (book) The Rise of Superman by Steven Kotler (book) High Performance Habits by Brendon Burchard (book) Relaxation One (app) Insight Timer (app) Headspace (app)
