Your brain may be protecting you from the very success you want. What if hesitation isn't a lack of ambition? What if overthinking, perfectionism, fear of visibility, and self-sabotage are old survival patterns running automatically? And what if changing the behavior isn't enough because behavior is only the final step in the pattern?Master Coach and “Millionaire Activator” Suzanne Longstreet says the subconscious mind is wired to keep us safe, not necessarily to help us grow. When an opportunity involving greater success, money, leadership, or visibility activates an old belief, the brain may interpret growth as a threat and trigger fear before we consciously understand what is happening.Suzanne Longstreet is the creator of Quantum YOU Activation and the bestselling author of The Millionaire Brain and co-author of The Millionaire Codes. She helps high-achieving women identify and eliminate the subconscious resistance disrupting their decisions, execution, visibility, and income.Suzanne explains the sequence: an external trigger activates an internal message, the message creates an emotional response, and the emotion drives behavior. To create lasting change, she says we must identify the trigger, uncover the hidden belief, and rewire the pattern beneath the reaction.Suzanne traces one of her own limiting beliefs about money to age four or five. After proudly announcing that the 100 pennies in her hand made $100, her mother laughed and corrected her. Although her mother meant no harm, Suzanne internalized a very different message: I don't understand money. That childhood moment quietly followed her into adulthood and business. After years of struggling to build her coaching practice, Suzanne discovered neuro-linguistic programming, hypnosis, and advanced cognitive techniques. She says applying those tools helped her move from earning approximately $15,000 a year to $60,000 within six months. In this thought-provoking episode, discover:Why the subconscious mind can treat success as a threatHow hidden beliefs formed in childhood can influence adult decisionsWhy triggers—not behaviors—may be the real place to beginHow repeated thoughts can reinforce fear and negative emotional patternsWhat an amygdala hijack looks like in professional and personal lifeHow fight, flight, freeze, and fawn responses affect confidenceWhy Tall Poppy Syndrome keeps accomplished women from speaking upHow imposter syndrome and fear of visibility can restrict incomeHow self-awareness can help interrupt an automatic responseWhy the language you use about yourself matters to your subconscious mindLearn more or schedule a clarity session with Suzanne at SuccessAndClarity.com.Find Suzanne's guided recordings and courses on Insight Timer.Follow Women Road Warriors wherever you listen to podcasts and visit WomenRoadWarriors.com.#SelfDoubt #ImposterSyndrome #WomenInBusiness #Confidence #WomenRoadWarriors #Anxiety #SelfSabotage
Being seen can feel deeply vulnerable for highly sensitive people.Whether you are sharing an honest thought, setting a boundary, expressing a need, sharing something creative, or letting more of your true self be known, visibility can bring up anxiety, self-doubt, overthinking, and fear of judgment. In this episode we explore why visibility can feel so activating for highly sensitive people, because being seen often touches old fears of rejection, criticism, misunderstanding, or not feeling safe to be fully yourself. You'll learn the difference between exposure and supported visibility, and why self-expression does not have to mean pushing past your limits or overwhelming your nervous system. This episode offers a grounded approach to visibility as a nervous system stretch - something you can practice in small, supported ways rather than forcing yourself into the biggest, scariest version of being seen. You'll explore questions like:What am I protecting myself from?Is this fear trying to protect me from real danger, or from the vulnerability of being known? What is one small, supported way I could let more of myself be seen? What would help my nervous system feel supported before, during, or after that step?If you are a highly sensitive person, empath, introvert, deep feeler, creative person, or someone who struggles with visibility anxiety, fear of judgment, people-pleasing, self-expression, over-explaining, or hiding your true self, this episode will help you understand your fear with compassion and begin practicing small moments of honest expression. You do not have to become fearless in order to be brave.Inside Rooted Resilience, we practice this kind of supported growth in gentle, practical ways.Rooted Resilience is my monthly membership for highly sensitive people who want nervous system support, emotional resilience, mindfulness practices, and tools they can actually use in daily life.It is a space to learn how to come back to yourself in real moments: when you feel overwhelmed, overstimulated, emotionally stretched, afraid to speak honestly, or unsure how to honor your sensitivity without making your life smaller. You can learn more about Rooted Resilience here:https://yogiranger.com/rooted-resilienceYou may also enjoy these Insight Timer practices:Yoga Nidra for Nervous System Reset & Deep Rest:https://insighttimer.com/yogiranger/guided-meditations/yoga-nidra-for-nervous-system-reset-deep-rest_1You Are Already Enough: A Deep Reset For Self-Worth https://insighttimer.com/yogiranger/guided-meditations/you-are-already-enough-a-deep-reset-for-self-worth New to the podcast? Have you spent years — maybe decades — building a yoga practice or physical discipline, only to reach a point where your body simply won't cooperate the way it used to?If the one thing that once grounded you, defined you, and kept you regulated is starting to slip away — this episode is going to meet you exactly where you are.My guest is Harmony Slater — one of fewer than 20 people in the world to hold the highest level Ashtanga yoga certification, earned through 15 years of immersive training in India. A certified mastery coach and breathwork trainer, Harmony has spent over 25 years helping women navigate midlife transitions, identity shifts, and the particular grief that comes when the body you've relied on starts to change. In this conversation we go deep on why the intense physical practices so many women depend on eventually stop working — and what becomes possible when they do. We explore how the nervous system learns to stay regulated under stress, why body awareness matters more than any pose you can hold, and why the present moment is the only place real choice actually lives. This one is for the high achievers, the disciplined movers, the women who built their identity around what their bodies could do — and who are now being asked to find themselves somewhere new.In this episode, you'll learn:Why your yoga practice was always about more than flexibility — and how it was quietly training your nervous system to stay regulated under discomfortWhat happens to your sense of self when the body you've relied on for control and accomplishment stops responding the way it used toThe difference between living as a human being versus a human doing — and why high achievers struggle most with this shiftWhy your thoughts aren't where you'll find the truth — and why Harmony points you to the heart and body insteadHow midlife women return to nervous system regulation without an hour and a half on the matA hand-on-heart breathing exercise you can try while you listen — a gentle way to feel into your own body awareness right nowWhy the present moment is the only place you can make a real choice — and how tracking breath and sensation gets you thereHow a two-minute breathing practice can bring your nervous system back into regulation on even the hardest daysWhat coming home to yourself actually asks of you — and why it's simpler than you thinkWhether your yoga practice, running routine, or physical identity is falling away in midlife — this conversation gives you something more portable and more permanent than any pose: a way back to yourself through breath, body, and the quiet wisdom of the present moment.Much love and freedom,LaurieFree ResourcesClick here to schedule a FREE inquiry call with me.Click here for my FREE “Beginner's Guide to Somatic Healing”Click here for my FREE Core Values ExerciseWant to try somatic work for free? What happens when you love your partner, have a strong relationship, and genuinely enjoy your life together—but the sexual chemistry just isn't there anymore?Losing desire doesn't necessarily mean you've fallen out of love. Sometimes, what's missing is polarity—the energetic charge created when two people are connected without becoming so blended that there's no longer any space, mystery, or tension between them.In this candid conversation, JJ Flizanes and Doug Sandler are joined by sex and relationship expert Dr. Jane Guyn to explore what creates sexual polarity, why it can disappear in long-term relationships, and what couples can do to begin bringing attraction, desire, and playfulness back.Dr. Jane explains that when couples become completely merged—doing everything together, knowing everything about each other, and functioning almost as one unit—it can become difficult to experience the separation necessary for erotic charge. Creating healthy physical and emotional space can actually help couples rediscover each other.JJ and Doug also share openly about their own relationship and the changes they've experienced by becoming more conscious of masculine and feminine energy, creating space for individuality, communicating more clearly about what they want, and allowing intimacy to become playful rather than something that has to be performed correctly. In This Episode, You'll Hear About:What sexual polarity actually means and why it mattersWhy loving someone and desiring someone aren't always the same thingHow becoming too merged with your partner can diminish attractionWhy having your own interests, experiences, and space can create more mystery and sexual chargeMasculine and feminine energy—and why polarity isn't simply about genderWhy high-achieving women who spend much of their lives leading, deciding, organizing, and getting things done may have difficulty shifting into receivingHow men can step more confidently into initiation without women having to make themselves smallerThe importance of communicating what you actually want instead of expecting your partner to figure it outHow performance anxiety, shame, and fear of doing something “wrong” can cause partners to avoid intimacy altogetherWhy safety, trust, patience, and curiosity create room for sexual explorationHow playfulness can help take sex out of the realm of pressure and performanceWhy bringing the spark back isn't necessarily about having more sex—it's about creating a different dynamic between youOne of the biggest takeaways from this conversation is that a partner who appears to want less sex may not necessarily want less sex—they may want less of the sex that's currently being offered. That opens an entirely different conversation about desire, communication, pleasure, and what each person actually needs.Sexual chemistry doesn't have to disappear simply because you've been together for years. Sometimes the people capable of creating an entirely new level of intimacy are already there—you just have to create the safety, space, communication, and polarity that allow those parts of you to come forward.Connect with Dr. Jane Guyn: HowToFixMySexLife.com — Learn more about Dr. Jane's work with individuals and couples around intimacy, sexual connection, desire, and relationships. Confessions of a Freebird - Midlife, Divorce, Dating, Empty Nest, Well-Being, Mindset, Happiness
What if joy wasn't something you had to wait for — but something you could actually adopt into your life?If you're rebuilding after divorce or navigating a recent loss and are quietly wondering whether you're allowed to feel good again while you're still grieving — this episode is for you. Most of us treat grief and joy as opposites, as if one has to end before the other can begin. My guest today gently dismantles that idea. Her argument is the reverse: your capacity for joy grows in direct proportion to the pain you've allowed yourself to experience. So the question isn't how to get past the grief — it's how to hold both at the same time.My guest is SC Perot. A Stanford Law graduate, Vanderbilt adjunct faculty member, and author of Styles of Joy. After the pandemic, a divorce, and a career shift that dismantled the life she'd planned, SC took a grief sabbatical that led her to 17 Harry Styles concerts across five countries in ten months — and to an entirely new understanding of what joy can look like after loss. In this conversation we explore the identity loss that quietly lives inside divorce grief, why escapism only works when it runs alongside doing the inner work, and the Japanese concept of borrowed views — a practice for turning jealousy into genuine delight in other people's good news. SC also shares her four-part CAPS framework for making joy a skill you build through repetition, and lays out what life after divorce can look like when you stop settling for just okay.In this episode, you'll learn:Why SC says the opposite of joyful is jealousy — and how you can catch envy before it takes holdWhat a grief break is, and how to tell it apart from bypassing your painHow happy music became part of SC's healing journey — and what it means to build a new soundtrack for a new lifeWhy sitting fully inside divorce grief expands your capacity for joyHow the doctrine of borrowed views lets you adopt other people's joy as your ownHow an abundance mindset replaces the scarcity story that someone else's good news means less for youThe 4-part CAPS framework — cultivate, adopt, protect, and spread — and which part trips people up mostHow SC's body told her it was time for a career pivot before her mind caught upWhy collective joy counteracts lonely grief — and where to find it without a concert ticketHow the three circles of connection — intimate, relational, and communal — protect you from loneliness after divorce or anytime.Whether you're deep in divorce recovery or simply carrying more than you expected this season — this conversation offers something rare: a concrete, compassionate path back to more joyful living and feeling like yourself again.Much love and freedom,LaurieFree ResourcesClick here to schedule a FREE inquiry call with me.Click here for my FREE “Beginner's Guide to Somatic Healing”Click here for my FREE Core Values ExerciseConnect with me:Click here to purchase my “Nervous System Regulation Starter Kit” it's $29.99Click here to purchase my book: Sandwiched: A Memoir of Holding On and Letting GoWebsiteInstagramSubstackWant to try somatic work for free? Sensitivity is not fragility, and nervous system healing does not mean avoiding everything uncomfortable. In this episode we explore how highly sensitive people can honor their nervous systems while still living brave, meaningful, expressive lives. If you are a highly sensitive person, you may have wondered: Is this discomfort a sign that something is wrong for me, or is my nervous system asking for more support as I stretch toward something that matters? This episode offers a compassionate and practical framework for understanding the difference between discomfort that signals danger, discomfort that comes with growth, and overwhelm that means you need more support. You'll learn the difference between:Comfort Zone: familiar, manageable, and supportive for rest and recoveryCapacity Zone: stretching, uncomfortable, meaningful, and workable with supportOverwhelm Zone: too much, too fast, or too unsupportedThis episode is especially supportive if you are a highly sensitive person, empath, deep feeler, or sensitive soul who struggles with anxiety, overthinking, people-pleasing, emotional overwhelm, self-doubt, visibility, or fear of doing hard things. You'll explore questions like:Am I activated and still connected to myself?Do I still have access to choice? Is this discomfort connected to something meaningful? Can I make this more manageable? What support would change this? You do not have to choose between honoring your nervous system and living a life that stretches you. You can rest, prepare, ask for support, go slowly, say no when something is truly too much, and say yes when something meaningful is asking you to grow.Inside Rooted Resilience, we practice this kind of supported growth in practical ways.Rooted Resilience is my monthly membership for highly sensitive people who want nervous system support, emotional resilience, mindfulness practices, and tools they can actually use in daily life.It is a space to learn how to come back to yourself in real moments: when you feel overwhelmed, overstimulated, emotionally stretched, afraid to speak honestly, or unsure how to honor your sensitivity without making your life smaller. You can learn more about Rooted Resilience here:https://yogiranger.com/rooted-resilienceYou may also enjoy these Insight Timer practices:Yoga Nidra for Nervous System Reset & Deep Rest: https://insighttimer.com/yogiranger/guided-meditations/yoga-nidra-for-nervous-system-reset-deep-rest_1Yoga Nidra for Burnout Recovery: https://insighttimer.com/yogiranger/guided-meditations/yoga-nidra-for-highly-sensitive-people-burnout-recoveryNew to the podcast? Send us Fan Mail You can look wildly capable while quietly falling apart. That tension, the “I'm fine” mask, the nonstop doing that never quite turns off, is exactly what we get honest about with returning guest Katherine Chestnut, who works at the intersection of mindfulness, breathwork, and nervous system regulation for high-performing professionals. We talk about the trap of productivity addiction and why busyness often acts like emotional avoidance. When you keep moving, you don't have to feel uncertainty, grief, loneliness, anger, disappointment, or exhaustion, but your nervous system still pays the bill. Katherine breaks down how urgency becomes chemically familiar, how the brain stays in threat-scanning mode, and why stillness can feel uncomfortable or even anxiety-provoking at first. We also explore the cultural pressure to equate discipline with constant motion, plus how doom scrolling and short-form media can train us to crave quick hits over real rest. Then we land on a simple practice you can use today: pause before you respond, pause before you send the email, take one breath, and check in with your body. That small interruption can reduce reactivity, calm the stress response, and help you succeed without using stress as fuel. If this resonates, subscribe to Healthy Mind, Healthy Life, share this with a high achiever who needs it, and leave a review so more listeners can find the conversation. What if the phrase "You're only as happy as your least happy child" is actually keeping families stuck? Robin sits down with therapist Laura Goldstein to explore parenting, ADHD, radical acceptance, and why so many therapy models may be pointing toward the same place.Laura Goldstein, LCMFT is a Licensed Clinical Marriage & Family Therapist and Founder of Montgomery County Counseling Center (MCCC), LCC. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA and then went on to earn her Master's degree in Family Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. Laura became intensively trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) through Behavioral Tech Linehan Institute in 2015 and has further trainings in Gottman Method and RO-DBT. She has built a private practice with the values of systemically-minded and collaborative care. MCCC continues to serve individuals and families at the intersection of emotional, relational, and behavioral struggles. She's a passionate public speaker always looking to make psychoeducation. prevention, and sustainable care more accessible to help both clients and clinicians thrive. In this conversation, Robin and Laura explore why we can't make other people's happiness our responsibility, the relationship between acceptance and change, ADHD and working with our brains instead of against them, building a therapy practice from the ground up, and how different therapeutic models may be pointing toward the same human truths.Learn more about MCCC's new service Mental Wellness Check:https://mccounselingcenter.com/mental-wellness-check/Connect with the bulletin board on Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/groups/mocomentalhealthbulletinboardLearn more about Laura:https://www.montgomerycountycounseling.com/Learn more about TheraCourses:https://theracourses.com/--Get in touch:robinsmithshow@gmail.comCall the hotline:+1 (301) 458-0883Follow Robin on Insight Timer:https://insighttimer.com/robinsmithBook an appointment:https://robin-smith.clientsecure.me/request/serviceBecome a supporter on Patreon:https://www.patreon.com/therobinsmithshowGot a question? Do this before bed to calm your nervous system, support your vagus nerve, and drift into deep, healing sleep. This gentle vagus nerve reset meditation is designed to help you shift from fight-or-flight into rest-and-digest using slow breathing, soft sighs, self-compassion, and a tender full-body scan. You're invited to arrive exactly as you are—busy-minded, tired, or tender-hearted—and be reminded again and again: you are safe, you are held, you are okay as you are. In this sleep meditation you will: - Use slow, rhythmic breathing and soft sighs to send a message of safety through your whole system - Explore a somatic hug and soothing (or imagined) self-touch to gently tone the vagus nerve - Experience a warm, tender body scan with visualization, from the crown of the head all the way to sleepy toes - Ground into three points of support beneath you and feel fully held and supported - Practice kindness, acceptance, and letting go of attachment and expectations - Rest into healing affirmations such as: - I am safe to rest - My body is heard - My body's natural healing is active now - rest deeply now This practice is ideal as a bedtime meditation, sleep hypnosis style relaxation, or a nervous system reset at the end of a long day. Listen lying down or seated, let the ground meet you where you are, and allow your body to remember how to rest, repair, and heal. If your mind wanders, that's perfectly okay. Thoughts can simply float by—like leaves on a slow stream—as you are gently guided back to your breath, your body, and the steady support beneath you.
A gentle, spacious sleep meditation to help when your brain won't switch off. The Letters I Never Expected to Receive Some creative works quietly continue long after we've finished making them. In this episode of Poetic Resurrection, I reflect on the unexpected journey of one of my most meaningful Insight Timer meditations—a meditation on grief that continues to reach listeners during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Through the messages I've received over the years, I've come to realize that we rarely know which poem, prayer, or quiet offering will become someone else's source of comfort. Creativity has a way of traveling farther than we ever imagine. If today's conversation speaks to you, I've included links to the original Insight Timer meditation, which features my poem "Bound" and a closing prayer of affirmations, as well as the Poetic Resurrection episode where I read the poem and discuss its meaning. Thank you for listening. Many blessings. Anika sat down with Katie Krimitsos to explore one of the most counterintuitive business pivots in podcasting history. The conversation revealed the realities of walking away from a successful coaching business to launch the Women's Meditation Network, the process of recognizing the difference between intuition and fear, and how she scaled one podcast into a massive 24-show network. Katie's journey offers a masterclass in alignment, strategic audience building, and honoring your creative evolution while prioritizing family. In This EpisodeThe origins of Biz Women Rock and the power of being a first-mover in the podcast spaceThe terrifying moment intuition told Katie to walk away from her first six-figure yearWhy the most powerful business strategy is distinguishing between your true "voice" and the "noise"The messy, 18-month transition of running two businesses while raising a toddler and a newbornHow to utilize paid ads, app features, and cross-promotions to guarantee podcast growthThe strategy behind building a 24-show network and why not every podcast has to be a massive moneymakerLicensing content, internal product building, and creating a robust, high-converting funnelWhy creative expression—not just profit—must remain the driving force of your workTimestamps00:00 Introduction: The counterintuitive pivot to a 170-million listen empire 01:14 Discovering the power of podcasting in 2013 and launching Biz Women Rock 05:36 The defining moment of intuition: Walking away from a six-figure business 10:30 Launching the Women's Meditation Network and recognizing the open market gap 14:41 How to separate the true voice of intuition from the noise of ego 22:05 Tactical podcast growth: Using paid ads on smaller podcast apps 26:28 The power of cross-promotions and episode swaps for audience sharing28:39 Expanding from one show to a 24-podcast network 38:08 Internal product building and licensing content to third-party apps 46:28 The mind-body-soul connection and finding new creative fulfillment 51:43 Favorite mantra: Why "It's all a game" is the best mindset for successKey Insights & TakeawaysInsight 1: True Intuition Requires Stillness and Practice The voice of intuition is often drowned out by the "noise" of ego, fear, and external expectations. Katie emphasizes that distinguishing between the two requires daily practice in small things—like listening to what your body actually wants to eat—so you can trust the voice when it asks you to make massive business pivots.Insight 2: Strategic Investment is Necessary for Scale While organic growth is important, Katie actively invested in paid advertisements on smaller podcast apps to acquire listeners at a defined cost-per-subscriber. She also leveraged cross-promotions and episode swaps with complementary shows (like sleep podcasts) to consistently bring in highly targeted new listeners.Insight 3: The Network Model Allows for Niche Experimentation Building a 24-show network means that not every podcast has to carry the financial weight of the business. Massive shows (like Sleep Meditation for Women) generate the primary revenue, which affords Katie the freedom to launch highly-niched shows (like Meditation for Panic Attacks or Meditation for Kids) that serve smaller, specific audiences without financial stress.Insight 4: Your Product Can Be Monetized in Multiple Ways Katie recognized early on that her meditations (the MP3/MP4 files) were the actual products. Instead of relying solely on podcast advertising (CPM), she distributes and licenses her content to third-party apps (like Insight Timer and Aura), creating multiple, passive revenue streams from the exact same content.Insight 5: Creative Expression is the Ultimate Driver of Business A business can be highly profitable, but if the founder feels "gray" or "blah," it's often a sign of suppressed creativity. Katie highlights the importance of continually evolving the business—such as incorporating physical well-being into her mind-soul offerings—to ensure the work remains fulfilling and energetically aligned.Resources & Links MentionedWomen's Meditation NetworkMeditate to Magic CourseAbout Katie KrimitsosKatie Krimitsos is the founder and CEO of the Women's Meditation Network, a massive media empire that has garnered over 170 million listens. A pioneer in the podcasting space, she previously hosted the successful Biz Women Rock podcast before making a radical pivot in 2018 to follow her intuition into the meditation space. Dear People. Due to Spotify changing its algorithm and Insight Timer changing the way they support meditation teachers, I will only be posting clips of longer, free meditations that you can find in full on Insight Timer. This helps support the time, effort, and devotion put into creating these pieces, without the use of social media or advertising. I truly love the deeper conversations that come from these pieces, and if you want to step closer, you are always welcome to become a member of my Substack. Over the years, I have desperately wanted to simplify my life and my offerings so only what is true and full of heart remains. Thank you for your support, and the way your presence shapes my own life. In deepest regard, Sez_____About this episode...We are about to discover, through direct experience, what emptiness feels like. Not as a concept that can further dissociate us from our bodies. Not as a spiritual claim that self or no-self is the final truth. But by going beyond both, we can touch the heart of emptiness as an undeniable, lived experience. My own exploration of emptiness has profoundly changed the place from which I live my life. It has transformed what once felt like complete isolation from the world and from others. But I also wandered into extreme views that became just more concepts to uphold.I feel these teachings can easily become disembodied from our humanity, so I'd love to offer an alternative: a gentle, nature-based journey that reveals emptiness not as something fearful, dull, or void, but as something deeply alive and intimately woven into our experience. The field sounds were recorded at Kårup Skov. I'd love to hear how this lands with you.Listen to the episode for free, and in full here.Support the showFor guided courses, full episodes, meditations and access to extended versions of my sleep journeys, please go to Insight Timer. Every Thursday, I send out unpublished poems & audio essays to help us embody our felt sense of wholeness through nonduality, nature, and self-inquiry on my Substack. You can also find supportive courses on my website or grab a book for your journey onwards on Amazon. ✨

Welcome, lovely one. This guided meditation is a gentle nervous system reset, recorded at sunrise in South Australia with the sounds of cockatoos, rosellas, parrots, and kookaburras in the background. You'll be invited to: - Settle your body and soften the jaw, shoulders, and brow - Rest one hand on your belly and one on your heart (or simply imagine them there) - Move between activation and safety using a pendulum-style somatic focus - Practice affirmations such as: "I am here. I am held. I am allowed to feel good." - Explore a calm lake visualization for letting go - Reflect on what is within your control and what is not (the "two bowls" practice) - Choose one small act of change in your life - Visualize golden roots to the earth and a silver thread to the sky, aligning motivation and acceptance - Imagine clear boundaries (a castle and moat) protecting your values - Gently recalibrate your nervous system with golden healing light This practice may support you if you're feeling: - Overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally flooded - Stuck in people-pleasing or over-responsibility for others - Tired from grief, stress, or life transitions - In need of a calm, steady reminder that you are allowed to feel good, safe, and held Please take what you need, pause where you need, and let this be a soft place to land. 0:00 Opening, settling the body & sunrise birdsong 4:00 Hand on belly and heart – somatic safety & pendulum grounding 10:00 Affirmations – "I am here, I am held, I am allowed to feel good" 16:36 Lake visualization – letting go & CBT-style reframing 24:00 Two bowls: what I can control, what I release & one small act of change 33:20 Abundance, boundaries (castle & moat) & nervous system recalibration About Lauren Ostrowski Fenton Lauren Ostrowski Fenton is a meditation teacher, yoga instructor, counselor, and Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner based in South Australia. What if the anxiety you feel about dating again isn't a sign you weren't meant to date, but an invitation to understand yourself more deeply?Like many women over 50, you've built a successful career or raised and launched your children, done the therapy, read the self-help books, and created a meaningful life after divorce — and you still question your intuition when someone new shows up. You don't want to be alone, but you keep attracting the wrong guys and repeating the same relationship patterns.Dating after divorce isn't just about finding someone you're attracted to. It's about learning to recognize relationship compatibility, understanding the difference between chemistry and emotional safety, and knowing whether your body is responding to a real red flag or an old attachment wound asking for attention. That's why nervous system regulation and self-awareness matter just as much as finding the right partner. As a certified somatic experiencing practitioner and coach, and someone who's spent the last eight years navigating dating relationships myself, I'm sharing the lessons that changed what I look for in a partner — the qualities that helped me move beyond chemistry toward a relationship built on honesty, growth, and genuine connection. In this episode, I'll share:The 9 green flags not everyone is talking aboutWhat a healthy relationship is actually built on outside of attraction and chemistryHow to tell the difference between a warning sign and an attachment wound that needs healingWhy financial alignment, shared values, and emotional maturity matter more in midlife than most people realizeWhat relationship green flags look like once early-dating excitement settlesWhy secure attachment isn't about finding the perfect partner — it's learning to create safety within yourself and with someone elseWhy conflict repair is the #1 predictor of long-term compatibilityHow laughter, generosity, and accountability build deeper intimacyHow honest conversations about your past, fears, and intimacy strengthen connection instead of creating distanceFinding love in midlife isn't about getting lucky. It's about getting clear on what truly matters, trusting yourself enough to wait for it, and choosing someone who makes you feel loved.Much love and freedom,LaurieClick here to purchase my “Nervous System Regulation Starter Kit” it's $29.99Click here to purchase my book: Sandwiched: A Memoir of Holding On and Letting GoFree ResourcesClick here to schedule a FREE inquiry call with me.Click here for my FREE “Beginner's Guide to Somatic Healing”Click here for my FREE “Girlfriends Guide to Online Dating”Click here for my FREE Core Values ExerciseResources Mentioned in this episode:Click here to join me on Insight Timer for somatic healing practices and guided meditations. What happens when something is so vast, beautiful or mysterious that the mind has to widen in order to take it in?In this episode of Mindful Mondays, Ashley explores the science and neurodivergent nuance of awe - the emotion that can arrive through nature, music, art, human kindness, big ideas, collective experience and the smallest details of ordinary life.Inspired by Dr Dacher Keltner's conversation with Dr Andrew Huberman, Ashley looks at how awe can shift our sense of scale, loosen the grip of habitual thinking and place our current problems inside a much wider landscape. She also explores how sensory sensitivity can make awe feel especially vivid for neurodivergent people - while also meaning that the doorway into awe needs to feel safe.Ashley shares a remarkable experience from her recovery after surgery, when waves of frisson - tingling, goosebumps and a heightened sense of being moved - began arriving several times a day during a noticeable period of healing. The episode closes with An Imaginal Awe Walk, beginning with a single leaf and gradually widening to the tree, the landscape, the Earth and the universe beyond it.Because awe does not always require a mountaintop.Sometimes it begins with something we might otherwise have walked straight past.Mindful Mondays is part of The Neurodivergent Experience on the Autistic Culture Podcast Network.Find Ashley's longer meditations, Yoga Nidras and Bedtime Alchemy stories on Insight Timer by searching Ashley Dupuy.Ashley is also developing her From Mask to Map group coaching cohort beginning in September.
