Join James and Ian for their take on today's 20th Anniversary celebration at the British Film Institute! Yes, The BFI and The Doctor Who Appreciation Society screened Dalek and Father's Day, two seminal episodes from the 2005 series. However Phil, Drew and Ian take the opportunity to have their say on Lucky Day first - too much Doctor Who to cover this week for an "A" episode! We'll be back at the weekend to talk about Episode 5 of the new series, The Story and the Engine. Can't wait! Enjoy the show.
Join James, Michele and Brent for their instant(ish) reaction to episode four of the new series of Doctor Who, Lucky Day! But not before we go through the feedback you wonderful listeners have sent us about last week's episode, The Well. What did you think? Let us know by emailing the Campervan at feedback@thedoctorwhopodcast.com, Tweeting or Xing us, or jump on our Facebook Page or Group! No "more considered" episode this week, but Ian and James will be back on Sunday with a live recording from the bank of the River Thames after they've seen the 20th Anniversary screening of Dalek and Father's Day at The British Film Institute.
Join Brent, Michele and James for the Campervan's second trip around the Whoniverse this week for a more considered take on this week's episode of Doctor Who, The Well. Not to be defeated by his unavailability to record with the rest of the team this week, Phil drops by to give his thoughts too. So pull up a chair and join four hosts of the DWP talk about almost as many Kooky Theories!! As always, we want to hear from you - what did you think? Let us know by emailing the Campervan at feedback@thedoctorwhopodcast.com, Tweeting or Xing us, or jump on our Facebook Page or Group! We'll be back on Saturday to give you our instant reaction to Episode Four , Lucky Day. Enjoy the show!
Join James and Ian and they coordinate their temporal and spatial coordinates for a live episode of the DWP! Yes, the guys are in the same room to record their thoughts about Episode 3 of the new series of Doctor Who, The Well - but not before they go though your thoughts on last week's episode! Enjoy!
Join James and Michele as they take the DWP Mystery Machine (Campervan) out for it's second spin of the week. What did our very own Fred and Velma make of this week's show? Tune in to find out! Fortunately Brent also chimes in to bring some much required sanity to the madness. Enjoy the show and see you on Saturday for our review of Episode 3, The mysterious sounding, The Well!
Join Ian, Phil and Drew in the Campervan as they talk about your feedback on Episode 1 (mostly cat-related) and review Episode 2 of the latest series of Doctor Who, Lux! What did you think? Let us know by emailing the Campervan at feedback@thedoctorwhopodcast.com, Tweeting or Xing us, or jump on our Facebook Page or Group! Michele and James will be back on Wednesday with Episode 395A, so make sure you keep an eye (or an ear) on your DWP feed! Enjoy the show.
Welcome to our midweek episode! There's no guarantee we will be releasing a midweek episode every week, but Brent, Drew and Ian very much wanted their say this time! Join the other half of the DWP Team for their take on The Robot Revolution. Note we did not say "for a more considered look" as we usually do with our "A" episodes, as this was recorded shortly after the ep dropped on BBC iPlayer and Disney Plus on Saturday. So the guys had practically no time to think before recording! Well, that's their excuse anyway! Check out the final episode of series three of The Echo Chamber when it drops tomorrow morning BST - and then we'll be back on Saturday with our review of Episode Two of the latest series, Lux! Enjoy the show.
It's BACK!! And so are Phil, Michele and James with their hot-take on the first episode of the new series of Doctor Who streaming on BBC iPlayer and Disney Plus, The Robot Revolution. What did you think?! Let us know by emailing us at the campervan - feedback@thedoctorwhopodcast.com is the address you need, or you can get in touch via X/Twitter or you can join our Facebook Group and join like-minded fans discussing the episode. Enjoy!
One week and and counting! Join Michele, James and Ian in the Campervan for our preview of the upcoming brand new series of Doctor Who on 12th April. Join us on Saturday for Episode 394 which will be our review of The Robert Revolution! Enjoy.
We travel back to 2013 for a novel that was released early in the 50th anniversary year. Shroud of Sorrow is today's book being put under the microscope, and Kenny is joined by Chris Hawton, from the All-New Adventures of the Doctor Who Book Club to discuss it this tale of Kennedy's assassination - and clowns from outer space. Sadly, author Tommy Donbavand passed away in 2019, but courtesy of some of our podcast friends, we're able to bring his words together in the one place. We also have the full text of his interview with Doctor Who Magazine, courtesy of writer David Darlington. Join James and Drew as they catch up in the Campervan for the first time in what feels like ages. A twisty-turny geekout is the order of the day and conversation veers from Drews's garage clean-out to some thoughtful and intelligent feedback from our wonderful listeners! So sit back and enjoy half an hour of hour of two friends catching up - otherwise known as Episode 392 of the Doctor Who Podcast.
Join us for a detour from our usual Doctor Who highway as we steer the Campervan into new territory and talk about movies! Fear not though - Doctor Who is still at the heart of our conversation, and James, Brent and Michele make a point of (or couldn't avoid) drawing parallels between the films and Doctor Who stories! But first, we can't resist talking about the airdate for Series 2 and well as the new trailer and casting announcements! So sit back and enjoy a less Time-Lord orientated edition of the DWP! Do let us know if you enjoy this slightly different episode - get in touch and let us by emailing feedback@thedoctorwhopodcast.com, Tweeting us @thedrwhopodcast or find us on Facebook. Enjoy!
Join Phil and James as they look back at the week Doctor Who crashed back into the headlines. The Sun ran a two-page feature about the show's future (or alleged lack of it) which was picked up by other national newspapers and radio stations in the UK. How seriously should we take it?! In much more upbeat news, Big Finish Productions announced that Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper are pairing up in some some brand new Ninth Doctor and Rose audio stories which is of course, FANTASTIC! We are also very proud to bring you coverage of the latest Doctor Who proms! As the most musically gifted members of the DWP team, Michele and Brent review what can only be described as wonderful production that was performed at the Royal Albert Hall in Summer 2024 and televised just a couple of months ago over Christmas. As always, please do get in touch and let us know what you think! Email feedback@thedoctorwhopodcast.com, Tweet @thedrwhopodcast or find us on Facebook. Enjoy!
Not be left out of the party, Ian and Phil got together recently to share their predictions in terms of what will happen in the world of Doctor Who this year. Will they go for a low-bar, easy forecast, or will they push the boat (or Campervan) out this year? Tune into this minisode to find out!
The voices are the same but the podcast is different….. or something! Join Drew, Brent, Michele and James in our annual tradition of reviewing a recently animated "missing" Doctor Who story. This time, it's the turn of The Celestial Toymaker. Who & Company is the wonderful podcast hosted by Brent and Drew that has it's roots firmly in Doctor Who fandom, however the subject matter goes far beyond the confines of the Whoniverse. Once a year however, the parallel worlds of our two shows converge and the focus is on squarely on sixties Who. W&C has a distinctly different tone to that of the DWP. It's an easy listen, more laid back and less rushed. So pull up a lounger, grab a mug of hot chocolate, get comfy and listen to four friends chew the fat about a classic William Hartnell story in Episode 86 of Who & Company, also known as Special 34 of the DWP. Enjoy the show!
Jump on board the Campervan as we celebrate fifty years of the Fourth Doctor! Yes, the beloved fourth incarnation of our favourite Time Lord first graced TV screens in December 1974 - and some of the DWP remember the early days when those now infamous teeth and curls first etched themselves onto fandom's collective memory. Join Michele and Ian as they steer the Campervan through a nostalgic celebration, taking Brent, James and Phil along for the ride. The scenic drive includes a fresh look at the fourth Doctor's first television story, Robot, a review of the first story in Series One of his audio adventures from Big Finish Productions, Destination Nerva - and finally a chat about Seeds of Doom, the classic climax to Series 13. Sit back and enjoy the phenomenon that is the Fourth Doctor, wonderfully played the indescribably brilliant Tom Baker. Enjoy the show!

Earlier this week, the Whoniverse lost one of it's 'founder members' as William Russell passed away. William played Ian Chesterton in the early of years of Doctor Who, from 1963 to 1965. Join Michele and James as they recount their memories of William in Doctor Who before handing over to Brent and Drew who interviewed him in person at a US convention in 2018. The interview first went out on the Who and Company podcast as part of their convention coverage, and it's wonderful to hear William so relaxed in his conversation. Rest in Peace William, and thank you for the unforgettable memories. Neither you or your contribution to Doctor Who will be forgotten. We are Most Grateful.

Type 40 • A Doctor Who Podcast Episode 143: With Christopher Jones There've been Doctor Who comic strips for almost as long as there's been Doctor Who! The Doctor's have rarely been out of British comics since 1964. In recent decades the international comic book market also published a succession of titles in the Marvel or DC format, employing some of the industry's most exciting talents to write and draw! Christopher Jones is a comics professional: illustrator, storyboard artist and Educator from America who's loved Doctor Who for years! Having worked for the “big two” and in television bringing to life some of pop cultures most colourful characters, he was a natural fit to draw classic incarnations of the Doctor. Now he's returned to the Whoniverse as one of the creators involved in this exciting new graphic novel tying into the 60th anniversary, “Once Upon A Time Lord”. Christopher joins regular host, Dan Hadley to preview the book, tell the story of his action-packed career and disclose the extent of his passion for our favourite television series. It's the ideal conversation to bring our coverage of Doctor Who's diamond anniversary year itself to a close.
