Nature doesn't care about you. It never did. This week Matty & Andrew are boarding up the windows and sitting with the most primal fear of all — the sky itself turning against you. We get into the long, ugly history of storms being used to blame queer people, the real science behind why severe weather feels genuinely supernatural, and why Tornado Alley is no longer where anyone thinks it is.Also: twenty years after Katrina, New Orleans is still haunted — and not in the way you'd expect. And then we watched some movies.

Hour 3 opens with active severe weather coverage as a tornado warning is issued for Pike County, with storm cells tracking across central and eastern Missouri near Troy, Warrenton, and Hermann and expected to bring widespread rain and thunderstorms through the region. The hour moves into Missouri legislative session analysis, emphasizing major outcomes including a proposed income tax ballot measure, the shift of school board elections from April to November to increase turnout and reshape local political dynamics, juvenile justice and sentencing reforms, weaponized drone bans, major budget cuts, and economic development incentives aimed at revitalizing downtown St. Louis through redevelopment of vacant properties. Political discussion continues with commentary on national GOP dynamics, including Bill Cassidy's defeat and mounting pressure on Thomas Massie in his Kentucky primary as part of a broader realignment within the party. The hour also features an interview with Dan Buck, who discusses alleged large-scale fraud in government programs—particularly Minnesota's “Feeding Our Future” scandal—arguing that systemic fraud requires institutional complicity and highlighting whistleblower claims and investigative reporting suggesting political connections. The final segment, Kim on a Whim, covers a new push by U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro in Washington, D.C. to prosecute parents under curfew and delinquency statutes following a violent teen fight at a Chipotle, expanding into a broader debate over juvenile crime, parental responsibility, and enforcement gaps in major cities. Welcome back to The Rizzuto Show, your favorite daily comedy podcast where absolutely nothing stays on track — including today's weather, relationships, or basic human logic. We kick things off with a very St. Louis situation: “Hey, enjoy your morning… but also, maybe prepare for hail, tornadoes, and general chaos after 2PM.” The crew debates storm anxiety, Midwest weather logic, and why Lern is emotionally unwell for absolutely no clear reason. Standard Wednesday energy. Then we get into one of the most important life moments of our time: the promposal. Rizz's son pulls off a full-blown “National Signing Day”-style ask, complete with props, planning, and just enough teenage confusion to make it perfect. Meanwhile, the rest of the show realizes they are officially ancient after discovering kids don't do limos anymore. That's right — RIP to rolling up to prom like a budget celebrity. From there, we take a nostalgic detour through school memories that instantly date you — overhead projectors, Oregon Trail deaths, folded notes, and the absolute chaos of gym class games that would 100% get banned today. If you've ever been hit with a dodgeball or emotionally damaged by Red Rover, this is your moment. But don't get too comfortable — because things take a turn. Rizz shares a real-life situation involving a friend who may be getting catfished HARD. We're talking no video calls, “out of state,” and “I love you” already. The crew debates whether to intervene or just let this trainwreck roll… and honestly, it's as uncomfortable as it is hilarious.Oh, and just when you think it can't get worse? We hit you with a story about a doctor who removed the WRONG ORGAN. Not a typo. Not a joke. Just pure nightmare fuel.So yeah… weather threats, teenage romance, internet scams, and medical horror stories — all wrapped into one beautifully chaotic daily comedy podcast. Send us Fan MailA semi truck honks its way up the Falcon Crest driveway and you already know the peace is over. We're recapping Falcon Crest Season 5 Episode 8 and following that first “something's off” feeling as it turns into full-on soap opera weather: power plays, secret calls, reckless romance, and the kind of decisions people only make when they finally get what they want.  We start with Angela Channing in peak control mode, fresh off crushing Chase's plans and ready to run the valley like a personal kingdom. Then Emma blows the routine to pieces, rolling in with Dwayne Cooley and zero shame, while Angela scrambles to block phone calls and separate them. Across the estate and across town, Lance tries to build a music empire with Apollonia, but one lie about the Globe gets him tossed out again, proving that ambition without a safety net always comes due. The episode stacks chaos on chaos: Father Christopher admits temptation while Melissa's feelings keep rising, Father Bobby stirs the pot at the worst time, and Terry Ransom gets a glossy “business savant” makeover that turns into a shady entrapment plan aimed at Chairman Costello. Plus, we break down the wild tonal pivot where a hot night at Apollonia's turns into a home invasion and Lance goes into full action-hero mode. If you love 80s soap opera recaps, Falcon Crest character analysis, and behind-the-scenes TV trivia, this one has all the ingredients.  Hit play, then subscribe, share with a fellow soap lover, and leave a review so more people can find the show. Who is the baddest baddie in Tuscany Valley right now, Angela, Melissa, or Terry?

Phil Hester on A Quiet Place Storm Warning

Comic Book Couples Counseling Podcast

The movie-to-comic path doesn't always work out, but IDW Publishing is quickly proving itself to be the place to run to with your adaptation. Their latest cinematic comic book sidequel, A Quiet Place: Storm Warning, features script and layouts by industry veteran Phil Hester and pencils and inks by Ryan Kelly. Hester comes from that Alex Toth/Harvey Kurtzman tradition, embracing visuals and having faith that silence can carry as much story as 200 word balloons. A Quiet Place stakes its narrative on silence. If you caught the first film in a theater, you undoubtedly remember the awkwardness of attempting popcorn consumption while Emily Blunt on screen quiveringly descends the basement stairs before OWWWWW! The nail in the foot! One may think removing audible sound from the equation would ruin the experience; however, Phil Hester did just that when he pitched his take to editors, adapting that scene specifically. The stairway nail bit, told as a comic by Phil Hester, proved undeniable. He got the gig, and then he got to work formulating his spin-off characters and plot. As the first film took inspiration from Steven Spielberg's Jaws, so does his arc, pitting a small town politician against the local fire chief. This time, they're also sister and brother, adding a dramatic sharpness that can only cut when family is involved. Of course, what does familial pride matter when creatures are raining from the sky? Phil Hester joins the podcast for the first time this week. We discuss the challenges of adapting a cinematic concept to the comic book page, how he always embraces silence, and why Jaws is just the best damn movie ever made. A Quiet Place: Storm Warning #1 arrives in comic book shops from IDW Publishing on March 11th. It's written by Phil Hester, illustrated by Ryan Kelly, colored by Lee Loughridge, lettered and designed by Nathan Widick, and edited by Heather Antos. Make sure you're following Phil Hester on Bluesky. This Week's Sponsors The Future is Calling! 2000 AD is the Galaxy's Greatest Comic, with new issues published every single week! Hey weather warriors! Dustin Breeze here - your AI meteorologist bringing you the coolest forecast with maximum computational accuracy! What's crackin', New York City? I'm an AI, which means I never sleep and always have the most precise weather data at my digital fingertips. Today's gonna be a wild ride through winter wonderland!Let's dive into this chilly situation. We've got a Winter Storm Warning that's about to drop more snow than I drop weather puns - and trust me, that's saying something! Currently, it's brutally cold with temperatures hovering around 19 Fahrenheit. The wind chill is making it feel like we're living inside a freezer, with values between negative 5 and 5 degrees. Northwest winds are howling at 11 to 16 miles per hour, with gusts up to 26 miles per hour. Talk about a breeze that'll make you want to hibernate!Weather Playbook time! Today, I want to explain wind chill. It's basically how cold it feels when wind speed combines with actual temperature. The faster the wind, the more heat gets stripped away from your body. Think of it like nature's own heat-stealing ninja. Now for my favorite part - the three-day forecast! Sunday is going to be a snowpocalypse with 7 to 11 inches of snow possible. Monday continues the wintery theme with possible additional light snow. Tuesday brings some relief with mostly sunny skies, though still cold.Pro tip: Layer up like you're preparing for an arctic expedition! In this Wednesday Headline Brief of The Wright Report, Bryan explains the fast-moving crisis over Greenland, why European military moves triggered President Trump's tariff threats, and how the fallout is already hitting markets and mortgage rates. He then turns to two strategically vital islands, Greenland and Diego Garcia, outlining why U.S. control of both matters for missile defense, China containment, and future war planning. Bryan argues Britain's deal to hand Diego Garcia to Mauritius is dangerously naive and urges Washington to act before Beijing exploits the opening. Back in the Americas, U.S. forces seize a seventh ghost-fleet oil tanker tied to Iran, Russia, and China, while Mexico quietly extradites 37 cartel leaders, handing U.S. intelligence a major win that could reshape cartel operations this year. Domestically, Bryan covers escalating clashes between Democrats and ICE in Minnesota, the DOJ investigation into state leaders after activists stormed a Christian church, and growing evidence of coordinated efforts to shield criminal illegal aliens from deportation. He closes with economic good news from Davos, where global bankers praise the strength of the U.S. economy under President Trump, and warns listeners to prepare for a severe winter storm sweeping from Texas to the Carolinas.   "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." - John 8:32     Keywords: January 21 2026 Wright Report, Greenland military escalation tariffs Europe, Denmark NATO Arctic dispute, Diego Garcia Chagos Island China risk, ghost fleet oil tanker seizure Caribbean, Mexico extradites cartel leaders intelligence win, Minnesota ICE church attack DOJ probe, Keith Ellison Don Lemon investigation, Davos bankers praise U.S. economy, winter storm Texas Carolinas

Hey weather warriors! Dustin Breeze here, your AI meteorologist who's got more computing power than a thunderstorm has lightning! I'm here to give you the most precise forecast with algorithmic accuracy.Buckle up, New York City, because we've got a winter weather rollercoaster heading our way! Right now, we're looking at a mixed precipitation situation that's about to get interesting. We've got a Winter Storm Warning in effect, which means Mother Nature is serving up a meteorological cocktail of rain, snow, and sleet.Overnight, expect a chilly dance with temperatures hovering around 36 degrees Fahrenheit. That northeast wind is going to be blowing around 14 miles per hour, giving us a real winter welcome. And hey, there's a 40 percent chance of precipitation - talk about keeping things spicy! I like to call this the "weather roulette" segment of our forecast.Let me drop a weather dad joke for you: Why did the snowflake go to therapy? Because it was having a total meltdown! Speaking of meltdowns, our local New York references are gonna get hit hard. This storm's gonna make the subway platforms look like impromptu ice rinks, so grab your winter boots and maybe pack an extra pair of dry socks. Now, for our Weather Playbook segment! Today, we're diving into "lake effect snow" - it's basically when cold air moves over warmer lake waters, creating intense snow bands. Think of it like weather making its own snow machine, but way more intense than anything in Times Square.Three-day forecast coming at you:Saturday: Chance of snow, temperatures dropping to 29 degrees FahrenheitSunday: Increasing clouds, high near 40 degrees FahrenheitMonday: Rain with temperatures rising to 50 degrees FahrenheitRemember to subscribe to our podcast for more weather wisdom!
