A Luke Jedi proof sheet, a Boba Fett three-pack sample, Gamorrean Guard and General Grievous hardcopies, a clear-limbed Sandtrooper first shot, and the incredible hand-drawn pitch piece illustrating the iconic vintage-style cardback design we know and love today. These are some of the almost 600 (!!!) Vintage Collection preproduction pieces owned by prototype collector Anthony Pagano. Anthony has amassed one of the largest TVC prototype collections in the world, with items covering the previous decade and featuring everything from conceptual pieces and painted hardcopies to unproduced pieces and carded samples. Join me, host David Quinn, for an in-depth conversation with Anthony, as he shares what it was like to collect the figures and prototypes from The Vintage Collection, how he was able to find these truly rare pieces, and what the line means to him as a collector. In this interview I talk with stuntman/coordinator Dickey Beer best known for his roles in Star Wars Return Of The Jedi, as "Boba Fett" Bike scout trooper, Gamorrean Guard, Barada, and more! We discuss his stunt work on Jedi as Boba in the famous sail barge scene where Luke Skywalker/Mark Hamill, and crew showdown with that vile gangster Jabba the Hutt. He talks about the shoot in Yuma Arizona where one of the largest set ever constructed for a major motion picture was built, as well as the largest assembled collection of aliens and creatures headed by Phil Tippett were present. Lastly Dickey gives his words of wisdom for aspiring actors/stunt people. For more info visit: https://www.facebook.com/DickeyBeerOfficial

This is my special LIVE FROM JABBA'S PALACE conversation with previous guests Gerald Home (Tessek and a Mon Calamari officer) and Simon J. Wiliamson (Max Rebo and a Gamorrean Guard). We got to talk to them again, this time in person, to tell some of our favorite stories, as well as quite a few new ones in this special anniversary episode. I can’t really believe it but, yes, this is the one year anniversary of this podcast. I wanted to take some time at the beginning of the episode to thank each and every one of our listeners, guests, partners and sponsors for making this first year a dream come true. Simon J. Williamson is the performer for Max Rebo and many other iconic characters, including principal Gamorrean Guard, a Mon Cal Officer and even the blinks of Nien Numb in Return of the Jedi. If you’ve ever listened to this podcast before, you know how much I love the fascinating stories of the puppeteers and mime artists, especially from Jedi. And this is no exception. Really buckle up because there's a pretty in-depth discussion about Max Rebo's biology (which has been researched in length by Mr. Pablo Hidalgo: https://www.starwars.com/news/star-wars-mysteries-getting-to-the-bottom-of-max-rebo) For more information about Mr. Williamson's upcoming appearances and his long and storied career with the Muppets and Jim Henson, go to his website: simonjwilliamson.co.uk or follow him on Twitter, appropriately, @RealMaxRebo. We wanted to release a fun bonus episode today, featuring our quick interview with a true Star Wars legend: Garrick Hagon. Playing Biggs Darklighter in the original movie, Mr. Hagon talks all about the famous Tunisia set, as well his first impressions of George Lucas and the Star Wars universe. Also included in our conversation: his first time working with Sir Alex Guinness, as well as the camaraderie and friendships forged on the set of a galaxy far, far away. For more information and updates about Mr. Hagon's next appearances, check out GalacticProductionsEvents.com or their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/GalacticProds/ Galactic Productions will also be bringing Prune Face himself, Hugh Spigt (as well as Power Rangers alums Barbara Goodson and David Fielding) to Madness Comics in Plano, TX on Thursday, July 19 from 6:00-8:00PM. Definitely come out and grab an autograph and a picture from a Gamorrean Guard! And, as mentioned at the end of the episode, we want to extend a very special thanks to Zachery McGinnis for helping put this interview together for us! This week's episode, I sit with Salt Lake's own Damon Ricks. Damon has been cosplaying for over a decade and has created numerous expert quality costumes, including a Gamorrean Guard costume from Star Wars. We talk about what it was like getting the materials and segments of the costume to be as, photo realistic and character accurate, as possible. Also, what it's like being on a panel at Salt Lake Comic Con. Even, when you are surrounded by experts on a subject that you may not know EVERYTHING about. It was, most definitely, an absolute please to sit down with someone as talented and approachable as Damon. Make sure you follow his future projects.
