Daily (Monday through Friday, excluding major holidays) less than 5 minute Bible devotional to help get your day started right. Practical topics that will help grow and strengthen your walk with Jesus.

This is how people like Daniel and Joseph in the Bible kept centered on God. Todays episode takes a hard look at what you and I need to do each day if we want to live the way God expects.

Yesterday, we talked about keeping mercy and truth at the center of your life. Today, we are looking at a couple real life examples of men who did just that, and see how God worked in them. If you are in your darkest hour right now, it is not the time to abandon your faith. Instead, it's time to keep focused on God, because He may be preparing you for something beyond your wildest dreams.

In Proverbs 3, the writer lists two things we must make sure is at the very center of our lives. In fact, he tells us not to let them forsake us, it's that important. Is your life centered on these two things?

As we turn our thoughts to the new year ahead of us, many of us will utter the phrase, “In the New Year I will…..” We'll make our new year resolutions-things we want to change about us and the life we live. Sadly, many of those resolutions will fail in the first couple weeks. In todays episode, I'll show you some resolutions we can make to be the Christian that God wants us to be.

On this Christmas Eve, it is my annual tradition to read THE Christmas Story.

The angels brought an important message to the shepherds on the night of the birth of Jesus. In this episode, we will study the message, how the shepherds reacted, and what it all means to us today.

Often times, the world looks at the Christian as the bad guy. Why? Because we expose sin, and tell others about Jesus and His forgiveness. It's because we go against the flow, we don't walk in the same way as the world walks. In todays episode, we look at what it means to walk for Jesus in the dark world. Are we a troubler? Or are we a truth teller?

What comes to mind when I say the word “peace?” Is it a spot on a tropical beach under a palm tree with no one around? Maybe a log cabin in the woods next to a babbling brook? Today's episode is about peace, about finding peace. Where does peace come from? Take a listen and get the help you need to find peace in your life.

In this episode, we look at the topics of idolatry and adultery, both of which are things that shouldn't be in the life of the Christian. But, are you committing spiritual adultery and cheating on God with idols? People and the nations have been punished for idolatry, God takes it seriously. We'll look at how we can stay away from cheating on God.

Today, we are looking, again, at Proverbs 2:12-15. We see, in these verses, how easily we can fall away from the right path, into the evilness of false teachings. Unless we study and apply the Bible, we will fall for any and all teachings-whether they are biblically sound or not. This episode gives practical advice, through Scripture, to help make sure you stay on the right path, the path that is led by the Spirit.

Today, we are looking at Proverbs 2:10-2 to discover the benefits of Godly wisdom. I'm not talking about intelligence, I am talking about the skill and ability to live the way God wants. Some of the smartest people I know have no knowledge. In these verses, we will see what wisdom does for us, and what wisdom keeps us from.

Did you know that most Americans (exact percent shared in the episode) feel they are above average in intelligence? Worldly wisdom doesn't mean anything to God. In fact, He said He will destroy the wisdom of man. How, then, can we attain the true wisdom that God desires us to have? Take a listen to todays episode to learn how to Find True Wisdom

Todays episode is studying Proverbs 1:10-19 where we are taught not to follow along with, or walk in the paths and ways of the sinner. As Christians, we need to make sure we don't fall back into sin. Instead, we need to walk in the ways of the LORD. In our world today, it's easy to give into peer pressure, it's easy to walk in the ways of the world. It takes self control and the LORD to make sure you stay on the right path.

We are talking about spiritual growth today. Why Proverbs, you ask? Because Proverbs gives us insights into the things of God, His ways and how we should live. Proverbs helps us understand and helps us increase our knowledge. Don't be satisfied with a surface knowledge on this things of God, dive deeper.

Did you know that you can have a faith that could move mountains? All it takes is a tiny amount of faith, yet we all even lack a tiny bit of faith. The disciples could not cast out a demon, even though Jesus ordained them to. Why? Their unbelief. Their lack of reliance on God. We can't do anything apart from God, yet we all try and live our day to day lives in our own power and strength. If you want a faith that can move a mountain, you must rely on God in all areas of life.

Have you ever been in a spot, like the father was in Mark 9:24, when you exclaim something like “Lord, I believe, help my unbelief?” That father was desperate for healing for his son, yet the disciples could do nothing for him. The fathers faith was tested as he tried to get his son healed, but then he met Jesus. His honest, open dialogue with Jesus revealed he had no where else to turn. Maybe your faith needs to be open and honest with Jesus as well.

Do you know what time it is? In todays episode, we are studying Romans 13:11-14, where Paul is challenging us to realize the time we are living in, and make sure we are living wisely.

We live in a world today that is spiritually dark. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has been watered down, to where people can live comfortably in their sin, while the stay on the road to the devils Hell. Todays episode looks at the spirit of the Nicolaitans, something God states He hates. Don't fall for this wrong and false teachings.

Why do we try and cover up or hide our sins? It's not a new concept. In todays episode, we look at some people in the Bible who had tried to cover up or hide their sin, along with some reasons why we try and hide sin. What are you trying to hide today?

In this episode, we study Psalm 90, the oldest Psalm, written by Moses. It's a prayer, and we look at several key verses and discover that God is sovereign, man is sinful, we need to number our days and seek out the wisdom of God, and do the things God has called us to do, all the while pointing the way to Him. This is a hard look at concepts not taught much today.

In a world filled with noise, need, and constant striving, thanksgiving re-centers our hearts on God's character, God's works, and God's unshakable promises. In this episode, we explore six powerful, biblical reasons believers can give thanks—every day, in every season. These truths anchor our worship, fuel our joy, and remind us that gratitude is not seasonal… it's spiritual warfare.

In Mark 7:1–13, Jesus confronts the religious leaders for elevating human traditions above God's commands. In this episode, we explore how easy it is to slip into routine, performance, and outward religion while the heart drifts far from God. Christ teaches us that true worship begins within, and that obedience to God's Word must never be replaced by man-made practices. This episode calls us back to authenticity, sincerity, and devotion from the heart.

What does it really mean to keep the words of Jesus? In a world drawn to convenience, shortcuts, and selective obedience, Scripture calls us back to the simple but transformative truth: love for Christ is proven in the keeping of His Word. From Noah's radical obedience in a corrupt generation to Abraham's steps into the unknown, and to Jesus' own teachings about abiding, this episode invites listeners to rediscover the blessing, intimacy, and power found in aligning our lives with the words of Christ.

Sin is never silent. It separates, blinds, deceives, and destroys—but it never stays hidden from God. From Eden to David's palace to our own hearts, Scripture reveals a sobering truth: be sure your sin will find you out (Numbers 32:23). Yet in the very places where sin is exposed, grace waits to restore. In today's episode, we uncover what sin really does, why hiding never works, and how God lovingly confronts us not to condemn us—but to cleanse and reclaim us.

Disobedience rarely shows its cost upfront. It often begins subtly—a small compromise, a silent justification, a moment of self-will. Yet Scripture reveals repeatedly that turning from God's word always leads to loss, bondage, and separation. In this final installment of our obedience series, we explore how biblical figures from Adam to Samson to Saul illustrate the heavy price attached to disobedience—and how Christ calls us back into surrendered alignment with His will.

Discipline is not God's rejection—it is His commitment to your transformation. Today's episode explores the difference between punishment and discipline, why God's correction flows from His love, and how submitting to His training leads to spiritual maturity and lasting obedience. Drawing from 1 Samuel 15:22, Proverbs 3:11-12, Psalm 94:12, Hebrews 12:5-11, and Deuteronomy 8:5-6, we uncover how the Father shapes His children through discipline so that we may walk in reverence, obedience, and fruitfulness.

True love for God is revealed not in emotion, intention, or religious activity—but in obedience. In this episode, we explore the sobering contrast between Jesus' call to keep His words and Saul's tragic downfall in 1 Samuel 15. God desires obedience over sacrifice, and when we choose our way over His, we silence our ability to hear Him clearly. Through Scripture, we uncover how obedience restores intimacy with God, keeps our hearts teachable, and positions us to walk in His will without delay.

In a world drowning in opinion, preference, and shifting definitions, biblical love stands firm on truth. The Word of God teaches that genuine love never celebrates sin, self-deception, or anything that pulls us away from the character of Christ. Instead, love finds joy in what aligns with God's Word, God's will, and God's ways. This episode explores why love and truth are inseparable—and how the believer must guard against the false forms of “love” promoted by a culture that often denies truth altogether.

As we close our series on prayer, Jesus shows us the clearest contrast between the prayers God rejects and the prayers He receives. In Matthew 6, He exposes the empty, self-centered, performance-driven prayers that lead nowhere—and then gives us the pattern for prayer that moves heaven. In this episode, we will walk through practical examples of “wrong prayers” and compare them to the God-honoring posture modeled in the Lord's Prayer. Silence becomes a teacher when it pushes us toward praying the way Jesus instructed.

There are times when it feels like our prayers bounce off the ceiling — unanswered, unheard, unnoticed. But Scripture shows us that God does respond when we pray according to His will, in faith, and from a place of obedience. In this episode, we explore what it means to pray in Jesus' name, why surrender is more powerful than insistence, and how aligning our desires with God's purposes opens Heaven's doors. This isn't about manipulating God's hand — it's about joining His heart.

Not every prayer reaches God's throne. Sometimes, our words rise but are weighed down by wrong motives, unbelief, or unrepentant hearts. In this episode, we uncover the kinds of prayers God chooses not to answer—and why His silence often calls us to self-examination, not discouragement. Discover how to align your heart so your prayers are not hindered but heard.

In this episode, we look at the power of earnest, united, and unceasing prayer through the miraculous story of Peter's deliverance in Acts 12. When the early church faced persecution, they did not retreat in fear—they pressed in through prayer. This chapter shows us that prayer is not a last resort but God's chosen means to release His power, strengthen His people, and overturn what seems impossible.

In this episode, we explore the kind of love that Jesus calls His followers to embody—love that is visible, sacrificial, consistent, and rooted in obedience to Christ. Pulling from the teachings of Jesus, the apostles, and the early church, this message challenges every believer to examine whether their love merely lives in words or shines through action. True Christian love is not optional—it is the clearest evidence that we belong to Him.

In a time when witchcraft, crystals, and “spiritual energy” are being disguised as harmless or even healing, the call for believers is clear: seek the Creator, not the counterfeit. In this episode, we'll talk about the danger of chasing false sources of power and the beauty of finding everything we need in God alone.

How often do we, like the man at the pool of Bethesda, fix our eyes on what we think will bring relief while overlooking the One who truly can make us whole? In this episode, we look at how focusing on earthly solutions can cause us to miss divine opportunities. Jesus stands before us—not merely to change our circumstances, but to transform our lives.

In this powerful episode, we look at one of the most compassionate and revealing encounters in the Gospels—Jesus and the woman caught in adultery. The religious leaders wanted to trap Jesus with a question of law and punishment, but He revealed the true heart of God: mercy that calls us to holiness. Through this passage, we see grace extended before judgment, and the transforming power of forgiveness that invites us to live differently.

In part one of the Go and Sin No More series, we focus on Jesus' encounter with the man at the pool of Bethesda. After thirty-eight years of suffering, this man's life changes forever when Jesus tells him to rise, take up his bed, and walk. But the miracle doesn't stop there — Jesus later commands him to “sin no more.” This episode explores what it means to be made whole not just physically, but spiritually, and how true healing calls us to walk in righteousness.

In this episode, we explore what it truly means to build your life on a solid foundation. Many call Jesus “Lord,” but few actually live in obedience to His words. We'll look at how Scripture compares our lives to buildings—either grounded on the shifting sands of the world or the unshakable rock of Christ. With passages from Luke, Corinthians, Matthew, and Joshua, we'll uncover how our daily choices reveal who or what we truly serve, and how faith built on obedience can withstand any storm.

When life gets hard, it can feel like God has stepped away. Elijah faced this reality as Israel fell deeper into sin under King Ahab and Jezebel's influence. Yet even in a nation drowning in idolatry and personal heartbreak—like the death of the widow's son—God was still near. This episode explores what happens when we feel distant from God, how our obedience or disobedience affects His presence in our lives, and how Christ reminds us that love and obedience go hand in hand.

In this episode, we explore what it truly means to love like Jesus — not just those who love us back, but even those who oppose or mistreat us. Through Jesus' words in Matthew 5 and His parable of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10, we discover that genuine love goes far beyond feelings or convenience. It is an active, selfless compassion that mirrors the heart of God.

God doesn't call the perfect, polished, or powerful—He calls the humble, the willing, and the brokenhearted. In this episode, we look at how Jesus chose people others overlooked and why true qualification in God's kingdom isn't about outward success but inner surrender. From the calling of Levi the tax collector to the encounter with the rich young ruler, we'll explore what it means to truly respond to God's call and not just appear religious on the outside.

In this episode, we explore how the message of the cross stands in stark contrast to the wisdom of the world. Paul faced a culture in Athens that was obsessed with knowledge, philosophy, and reasoning, yet he boldly proclaimed Christ crucified. The gospel may seem foolish to some, but it reveals the true wisdom and power of God to those who believe. Join us as we unpack how this truth still challenges hearts and minds today—and how we can share it boldly in a world that often misunderstands it.

No power on earth can silence the truth of the Gospel. Even when the apostles were imprisoned and threatened, they kept proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ with boldness and faith. In this episode, we look at how the Gospel continues to spread despite opposition, persecution, or fear—and how believers today are called to carry that same unstoppable message with courage and conviction.

In this episode, we explore Paul's deep, unwavering desire to truly know Jesus—not just in knowledge, but in experience, relationship, and faithfulness. Through his letters, Paul reveals what it means to live a life of total devotion, endurance, and intimacy with Christ. His example challenges us to evaluate the depth of our own relationship with Jesus and to pursue Him with the same relentless passion.

Bible study isn't just an optional practice—it's the foundation of a strong, growing faith. In this episode, we look at how the Word of God strengthens, equips, and transforms the believer. When we study Scripture, we fan into flame the gift God has placed within us and allow His truth to shape our thoughts, words, and actions.

Psalm 119 ends with a cry for understanding and deliverance — a reminder that even the most faithful hearts depend on God's mercy and guidance. In this episode, we reflect on the psalmist's humility, his love for God's commands, and his recognition that true wisdom and restoration come only from the Lord. Join us as we talk about what it means to seek understanding, live in obedience, and trust God's grace when we've gone astray.

Through one man's disobedience, sin and death entered the world. But through one man's obedience, life and righteousness were made available to all. In this episode, we explore the powerful contrast between Adam's fall and Christ's faithfulness — how the curse brought by sin was broken by Jesus' perfect obedience. We'll discover how this truth changes not only our understanding of salvation but also how we live each day in gratitude and obedience to the One who gave us life.

When we try to hide our sins, we only make things worse — but when we bring them into the light, we find freedom, forgiveness, and restoration through Christ. In this episode, we'll look at the difference between concealing sin and confessing it, why honesty before God matters, and how confession leads to cleansing.

Life brings challenges that test our faith—but not every hardship comes from the same place. In this episode, we explore the key difference between trials that strengthen us and temptations that seek to destroy us. Drawing from James 1, we uncover how God uses trials to mature our faith, while the enemy uses temptation to lure us into sin. Learn how to discern which one you're facing, and how to respond with wisdom, endurance, and steadfast faith.

The enemy is strategic, persistent, and deceptive — but God has given us every tool we need to stand firm. In this episode, we unpack the armor of God found in Ephesians 6:10–17 and discover how each piece equips us to resist the devil's schemes. Learn how to recognize spiritual attacks, guard your heart, and remain steadfast in faith, trusting in the unchanging truth of Christ.

In this episode, we're diving into the story of Peter's denial of Jesus — a moment of fear, pressure, and regret that mirrors the struggles many of us face when our faith is tested. Yet, Peter's story doesn't end in failure; it becomes a powerful testimony of grace and transformation. We'll explore what it means to be bold in your faith, even when it's unpopular or uncomfortable, and how the Holy Spirit gives us courage to stand firm and speak truth in love.
