Live Remix By Mr. Turner At Montreaux 2023 DL Here = https://hypeddit.com/mrturner/hideu-kosheen-petkoturner "Hide U" by Kosheen is a high-energy drum and bass track with deep emotional undertones. Released in 2000 as part of their debut album Resist, the song combines breakbeat rhythms, haunting synths, and Sian Evans' evocative vocals. The lyrics convey a sense of urgency and protection, as the singer pleads to shield a loved one from pain and danger. The track became a club anthem, blending electronic beats with a melancholic yet uplifting atmosphere, making it a standout hit in the early 2000s dance music scene.

As the U.S. announces plans to build a humanitarian aid port in Gaza, a confrontation now brews between the Biden administration and the Netanyahu government over Palestinian refugees. Can President Biden forestall an Israeli military offensive into the border city of Rafah? In this episode, Jacob Heilbrunn speaks with Greg Priddy, a Senior Fellow for the Middle East at the Center for the National Interest. Priddy previously served as Director for Global Oil at Eurasia Group. His recent piece “Joe Biden's Gaza Port Initiative Can't Hide U.S.-Israel Discord” appears in The National Interest.Music by Aleksey Chistilin from Pixabay
Delighted and honoured to be joined by Sian Evans on the Synthetic Dreams podcast today. Sian is the front woman and singer-songwriter of the band Kosheen- one of my favourite electronic acts. Kosheen enjoyed a string of hit singles from their brilliant debut album ‘Resist', most notably ‘Hide U', 'Catch' and ‘Hungry'. The band went on to release four more great albums. Sian talks about the forthcoming UK shows, which feature a live orchestra and celebrate 25 years of Kosheen. We also discuss the art of songwriting, her earliest musical passions, being taught piano by her talented grandfather and the incredible work she has done over the years with young offenders and in youth centres The band play Manchester Club Academy on 12th April, Bristol on the 13th, finishing this very special three-date UK tour at London's KOKO on19th April For a list full list of live dates etc, visit the following sites; https://kosheen.live/ https://www.facebook.com/KosheenBand/ https://www.instagram.com/kosheenofficial/ https://twitter.com/KosheenOfficial Synthetic Dreams is presented and produced by Scott Zverblis Follow Synthetic Dreams on Instagram or X And subscribe to the show via Spotify, Apple Music and Audible. Ready for new summer season tasting a new episode for Emotional Melodies Summer series with an exclusive and electronic set compiled and mixed by Claudia Castel. Unlike most dj's, C. Castel first cemented her name at home by playing at the clubs, events and big fashion shows, thus giving way to the rest of the Europe. She also did a series of showcases for Global Underground alongside Jim Rivers and Paul Thomas while securing multiple residencies with Blackwiz Records and her very own C. Castel's Deep House Music Sessions. Castel has always kept her head grounded firmly focusing on DJing and her innovative take on nu school house and progressive techhouse, backed up by a list of hit releases on distinguished labels such as Defected, Mn2S, Sony and Blackwiz Records to name a few.As a youngster in a modern dance group she developed from a dancer to a songwriter over the following years. While writing lyrics, she became more intrigued with the art of Djing, and her ambitions grew from there. It was at the age of 13 when she won the coveted Fashion TV contest, signing her to a top modeling agency. Having spent many successful years strutting the famous catwalks in the world in cities like Paris, London, Milano, Munich and Tokyo is where she discovered a plethora of house, electro and minimal beats. It was at that moment she realized music was going to be part of her life's canvas.C. Castel made it on to the clubs scene in the early 2003's, which sparked her interest in production. Her real breakthrough came in 2010 with the signing of Moonrise/KMA to Blackwiz Records ...a pair of tracks that crossed over from progressive to tech. Major support came in early from all the heavy weights including: Mark Knight who featured it on his Toolroom Knights Radio Show which aired on 35 stations in 21 countries| Roger Sanchez | Funkerman | Ralph Lawson | Xpress 2 | Nic Fanciulli | ATFCSince then C. Castel has gone on to release a string of hits on a variety of labels and continues her collaborative achievements with Sandy Rivera including ‘Dirty Sax', ‘Persuasion ft Rae' ‘Deeper ft Haze', ‘Hide U ft Rae' and most recently her remix of Kings of Tomorrow ‘Finally', all of which have been independently awarded ‘Tune of the Month' in Mixmag at various points over the last year. Her latest remix for Kings Of Tomorrow ‘Let Me Tell You Something' out on Defected supported by Pete Tong on his Radio 1 show, is already reporting seismic waves in clubland. Okay, we are back! Wow, we are heading to the final days of another decade. As I reflect on the last ten years and see the progression of electronic dance music, I'm amazed by the quality of this beautiful sound. I created so many great memories in the last 10 years. I'm definitely looking forward to many decades to come with the opportunity to create even more amazing moments. Since we are approaching the end of the year, our classic edition is also coming up next month, and let me tell you, this one will be epic. I came across I few tracks that got some rework done this year, so I decided to compile and play these refreshed versions for 2019 this month. Tracks such as, Hide U, Colombian Soul, Simulated, Universal Nation, Amsterdam to name a few. And also music by Moonbeam, Estiva, Fat Sushi and much more. The classic for November comes from a remix by Mat Zo. I used to call this one as ‘soul killer’ because of the baseline kind of eat you alive, lol. — I hope you enjoy this month's podcast and let us know on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram. **Also, please leave a rating & review on iTunes, it helps.** Tracklist DE RHAM - Aquarius [Pal’s Records] Sandy Rivera & Rae - Hide U (Chicola Remix) [DFTD] All Living Things & Matan Caspi - Amaris [Outta Limits] D-Formation & GRAZZE - Salt Owl [Einmusika Recordings] Hooligan - Hear You Now (Ampish 2019 Remix) [Serendipity Muzik] Valid Evidence - Eugina (Yuriy From Russia Remix) [19Box Recordings] Monarke - The Sun Keeper [Inner Symphony] Orkidea - Nana (Jerome Isma-Ae In Search Of Sunrise Remix) [Black Hole Recordings] Stan Kolev - Adagio [Outta Limits] Orkidea - Metta [VII] Freefall feat. Trance Mission Episode 4 (Still with me?) The fundamental question is: Are you Still with Me? Apologies to all but I took a little break.. A few lines to frame the context: I have had the set on my HD for now 4 months. I actually mixed it the day of the Charlie Hebdo massacre, hence the intro and then I kept it and kept it and .. kept it. I had received a few pointedly true comments relating to the previous set, which, decent as it was, did contain a few too many poppy tracks. I may ( well I did...) have overdone the Sophie Ellis Bextor segment.. What can I say, I am just a weak old middle-aged straight man.. Not an excuse, just a statement. Anyhow, I thought I would wait until Trance Mission Episode 4 was the best I could produce. Not inferring it is perfect ny now but the version I am publishing ticks all the boxes, covers all the criteria I had set for myself. It is not just Trance, but House, Chill, Progressive, Tribal, Deep and also Trance.. It is what I call Trouse and is the genre I would love the most if it ever existed! Let’s set the scene. At the start imagine yourself about 30 minutes from sunset, it’s hot, you are on the beach somewhere and are listenning to Tribal beats. From there let the music wave guide you, take control of your body. Feel the beat, feel the wave and let yourselves GO! The sun will set and it will be time for the party to get on its way. It will start with Trance, Disco, Dance and House anthems culminating in a Trouse fest.. It's a Rave as an early listener mentioned.. Setting the bar high there, let’s see if I have delivered. Highlights: Absolute gem and a 2015 release is “Still with Me” from the new Chicane album “The Sum of Its Parts”. Originally the track was released in 2013 by Tritonal, Chicane took it to another level with Bo Bruce as a vocalist.. An absolute gem, classic Chicane, as good as Saltwater and his other massive tunes.. Love it!! But perhaps because of the Tribal beat and the haunting melody, my absolute fav is “Now” from King Britt.. If you do not like the tune, stop following me because we are from different planets. In many ways it reminds of Ravel’s bolero.. Same structure, same false simplicity, same perfection. Onto two classics with “Pressure” and “Hide U”.. Two of my “anchor tunes” and I do have a soft spot for Nadia Ali. The y fitted perfectly with the tribal beach vibe I wanted at the start of the set. “Sun Goes Down” by Robyn Schulz, I heard the tune first on a live set from Chicane in Dubai. Though chilled and repetitive, I wanted to bring everything down looking at the sun going down and the tune fitted perfectly. Once chilled and quiet down, time to party with a couple of Trance/Disco numbers. Starting with Umek’s very clever take on Moroder’s Chase from Midnight Express and a Freemason’s classic Pjanoo.. Should get everyone on their fit, with a wide smile ready for a BIG night. Still with Me by Chicane.. Enough said, this is perfection in progressive or Trance or Trance.. Onto someone who first heard the unfinished set called “Rave music”.. Well it kind of is, but I tried rave music with a house twist throughout. Starting with A&B “Lonely Girl”, I love the female vocalist , she is pitch perfect and the built and keys are what this style is all about.. Classical Music brought to EDM.. With “Only a Dream” we are now in full-on Trance but I thought that I could add a house anthem sample to make it more interesting and bring on what is pure Deep House here-after.. I shifted up the Larse remix of “Hallelujah Anyway” and with pure luck it worked! “One Thousand Sun” by Chicane and Ferry Corsten , another good friend, Denise , to whom I sent an unpublished file, made the comment that she did not like the tune. As Viv, my wife, had already told me once she did not like it either I thought something had to be done. The tune fails because the vocal version gets irritating, A very mediocre vocalist or just not the key he should be singing in.. Anyhow I stripped the vocals and lo and behold thought I could try to mash it up with KOT’s Finally… Big work with a half decent result.. But BOY did I have fun!! This is precisely why I do THIS, to sometimes create! Reintroduce a short version of the original vocal stem and went back to “Finally”. Can’t wait to see how this will work out live.. Two Chicane tracks to follow “ No More I Sleep” and “38 Weeks”… I just did not want to shy away from Trance by this stage.. Episode is called Trance Mission after all.. Tried again to mashup KOT’s “Finally” into “38 Weeks” with limited success.. I had been asked by no les than my son, to remix my edit of Chicane’s “Going Deep” [My First Time Edit].. I had lost it when I changed computer and he wanted it as a workable playable file with stems separated. I have had friend’s telling me that once they heard those edits, they always wait for the samples to kick in the original remixes.. This was as good a time as any to do it and save the stems. Closing the set with the beautiful and uplifting Disco Citizen Mix of “Still with Me” as a reminder that it is the catalyst of the set.. So ARE YOU STILL WITH ME? It will take a little while for me to return to Trance but there will be an episode 5 and 6 in the semi-near future. As I mixed 9 sets of pure Deep House when I was on holidays in January, I will wait for this set to settled and upload one Deep one weekly. A bientôt. Christian

This much deeper sounding Progressive House mix takes you through a few lesser-known remixes of some absolute classics including "Hide U" by Kosheen, "Sanctuary" by Origene & a thumper of a new tune "Dancing In The Dark" by Sarah McLeod remixed by Sgt. Slick. Enjoy, Magnus.
A Deep Progressive Tech House Remix
Well, it looks like whatever I was supposed to get done has yet again been put off till Monday. While the temps are pretty acceptable here in the ATL, we've had rain since Tuesday and it doesn't appear to be letting up until Sunday. In fact, it's been raining steadily here all damn day. Personally, I'm not a big fan of rain, but I understand that Mother Nature requires it as much as the state of Georgia. Then again, I'm sure it never occurred to all those brainiacs in the state government to take the federal assistance money and build multiple water reserves to prevent future droughts similar to what we went through two years ago. We've got great highways already, though the city of Atlanta constantly needs repaving and upgrades to their old water system. Regardless, Atlanta is not all of Georgia, so I think the first suggestion makes the most sense. Instead, they'll continue to file federal lawsuits against all the surrounding states fighting for their share of the Chattahoochee River which supplies 70% of the water for northern Georgia. Brilliant. I digress. Lucky for you guys (and gals), because I've got the fourth installment ready to go for your Saturday enjoyment. As if the first three weren't enough, it just keeps getting better. The first part of the mix starts off pretty dark and progressive with the now classic collaboration between the Pet Shop Boys and Peter Rauhofer "Break 4 Love" running through such giants as Ben Shaw (So Strong), New Order (Crystal) and Dido's massive "Thank You". Ultimately, it breaks into one of the all-time house classics by Kings of Tomorrow "Finally" which has since been re-worked from every possible angle since it's initial release. Of course, we also have the gargantuan anthem by Rosabel and Jennifer Holiday "And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going" which she originally sang in the Broadway musical "Dreamgirls" and was revived on the heels of the 2006 movie by the same name starring Jennifer Hudson. In fact, both versions were duking it out on the dance charts at the same time (not unlike this year's "Hide U" by Kosheen and Suzanne Palmer). We also got to taste the nasty "You're the Worst Thing For Me" by Pusaka featuring Thea Austin. A song where the protagonist keeps going back to her cheating boyfriend even though he's a piece of shit. Vicki Shepard would one up her a year later in the potty mouth category. can't sleep at night, 'cause I'm losing my mind and I'm outta my head 'cause you're fucking my friend and I'm spending my cash, your depletin' my stash I'm addicted to you, even though you're the worst thing for me By the end of the year, Ceevox had pretty much taken over the floor with her massive "My Imagination". With its serious pounding beats and gospel style vocalization this song was pretty inescapable anywhere you went. Finally, I dropped in a personal favorite and definite floor filler by Missy Elliot "Get Ur Freak On". While enjoying huge success at radio, her label wasn't quite up to marketing her to the "club crowd". After this White Label bootleg came out, their tune changed by her next release. As with all White Label bootlegs, they're generally not the best recordings in the world, namely because they are unauthorized. I think I did a pretty decent job cleaning it up. But I gotta tell ya, once this song was dropped, the floor just went crazy no matter how poor the quality. It just goes to show that a good song is a good song even if it was being played back on 8-track. That's it for today. I haven't decided if I'm going to release the fifth and final mix for this edition yet. It will contain a bunch of odds and ends that didn't work in any of the preceding mixes, plus a few alternate versions of songs already used. I'll just have to wait and see how it comes out before I make up my mind. In the meantime, I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend and I'm sure you'll be hearing from me soon enough. Until then.enjoy!

2001 was the year I personally bottomed-out in all aspects of my life. Even so, it's chock-full of memories good and bad with some outrageous stories that are better left to a book. I will say that with all the chaos surrounding my life at the time, there were some shining moments. In particular, it was the year I met Rick who was dating a friend. George (the friend) decided he didn't really like Rick. Personally, I never thought anything about him until after they broke up. Rick started calling me to go out and one thing just lead to another. As the saying goes, one man's trash is another's treasure; well Rick was my treasure and still is today. Most importantly, 2001 was an amazing year for club music. In fact, some of the big names that were competing for club floor attention were getting some hefty competition from the likes of John Creamer and Stephane K. Their remix of Iio's "Rapture" a year earlier set the stage for a multitude of number ones that would carry them through the year and beyond. Their style was very progressive which as of today has been pushed to the underground. In fact, there are several prog club hits this particular year, which is strange because you don't get that much hitting the charts these days. Speaking of the underground, Celeda had her first number one after Peter Rauhofer took her and the song by the same title all the way to the top. Additionally, Illicit (who I still am clueless about) made a strong showing the previous year with their re-work of the massive "Pasilda" and went on to have two additional number ones with Madison Avenue's "Who the Hell Are You" and Stevie Nicks' "Planets of the Universe". Granted, Tracy Young turned in quite an excellent mix for the latter, but let's face it; Stevie's voice doesn't really lend itself to the dancefloor but Illicit's magic proved the song had some legs by turning it into a floor stomper. Other notables included Kosheen's Hide U. I'm talking about bodies movin, not stop groovin, asses shakin, floors are breakin, queens are freakin, hoe's are creepin, divas flowin, everybody knows to Stand up throw your hands to the sky Stand up, wo wo, you got to stand up! Now folks, before everyone starts ragging on me, I just want to let you know that Suzanne's version also makes an appearance in a later mix; so don't start shooting off about who had the better version. While I am partial to Suzanne Palmer's take, I think both are equally outstanding. We also got a preview of Ms. Jeanie Tracy's "cha-cha heels" in the Rosabel anthem "The Power". It wouldn't be until three years later that Rosabel and Jeanie teamed up again to bring a full song dedicated to the cha-cha. Of course, what would 2001 be without Thunderpuss? Barry Harris and Chris Cox put out their one and only dance album featuring the number one "Papa's Got a Brand New Pigbag" and outstanding anthem "Stand Up" featuring Latanza Waters. Funny thing is that I didn't even realize that Mobin Master remade that song last year. It was featured on my Electro-funk 2008 v6 and I gave it a five-star rating then. I guess it just shows you a good song is still a good song, no matter who does it. Finally, Thunderpuss also delivered the massive Janet Jackson cut "All For You". With all the prog stuff hitting the charts, it was always nice to lighten things up with some more commercial takes of a pop hit, and boy was this a BIG one! The other big one was Pink's "Get the Party Started". The strange thing about that song is that it never charted because LaFace Records never authorized any mixes. Frankly, I think that was a huge miscalculation on their part. I guess they were just acting pissy because she moved away from the R&B nature of her first album and into a more rock-oriented approach for her follow-up "Misunderstood". I'm certain their minds changed after it went on to become a massive hit and sell a ton of copies worldwide. Regardless,

Regardless,
