This week we welcome a true hero to shelter dogs in the form of Roadies & Rescues founder Paul Thomas. Paul is a long time live sound engineer who, when sidelined by the pandemic, pivoted to transporting at risk dogs from the California Central Valley to rescue organizations in the Pacific Northwest. His tireless efforts have saved literally hundreds of dogs and other shelter animals. Paul takes us through the inception of Roadies and Rescues, his own history with dogs and who some of the real rock stars are in the animal rescue community. With only four hours of club time in Boston, reading the room, feeling the energy, and guiding the audience where they want to go are essential to building the night properly. From deep progressive to peak-time melodic techno and trance, and a few classics, Boston, you were ready for all of it. This set weaves together melodic, progressive, underground techno, and timeless trance, featuring music and remixes from John Digweed, Nick Warren, Paul Thomas, Above & Beyond, Layton Giordani, Adam Beyer, Aly & Fila, and Bryan Kearney. A professor of Politics at the University of Buckingham, Kaufmann has written a number of books that seem to address the System of White Supremacy. Our recent guest Dr. Paul Thomas told us about the 2018 publication, Whiteshift: Immigration, Populism and the Future of White Majorities. This book examines the changes we're currently witnessing with changing demographics and fears of White Genetic Annihilation. Kaufmann thinks there will be a new influx of so called “mixed” people who will be accepted as White - like himself. Kaufmann details White frustration with all this change and increased color. He says people classified as White should be allowed to be proud of their culture and traditions just like non-white people.
