These were the years that saw dance music shifting dramatically, with the big room circuit style starting to cool off just as Electro House began rising from the underground and taking over mainstream dance floors. But the evolution wasn't one-dimensional. This era ushered in a diverse set of trends that helped shape the sound of modern dance. It was the rise of remix royalty like Freemasons, Moto Blanco, and Cahill. Each brought their own distinct flair to the genre. Freemasons blended traditional House with Electro influences, Moto Blanco leaned deep into shimmering Disco House, and Cahill straddled both worlds with a clean, pop-forward edge. Their remixes were everywhere—especially for big-name artists. Back then, the bigger the artist, the more labels were willing to shell out for high-profile remixers. That is, until budgets began shrinking and labels stopped cutting those massive checks. Fast-forward 15 years, and platforms like SoundCloud changed the game again. Suddenly, bootleg remixes became marketing tools, not just club exclusives. DJs had to hustle to make a name for themselves—often remixing tracks for free in the hopes of being discovered or landing a record deal. A Remix Renaissance During this same stretch, a powerhouse of remixers emerged and defined the dancefloor. Bimbo Jones, Seamus Haji, Soul Seekerz, Wideboys, Dave Audé, Jody den Broeder, and a revitalized StoneBridge (whose roots go back to the '90s) were dropping fire left and right. Meanwhile, some of the biggest names from the big room era still held their ground. Chris Cox (post-Thunderpuss), Ralphi Rosario, Tony Moran, Johnny Vicious, and DJ Escape kept delivering heavy, floor-shaking anthems that balanced out the sleeker, more polished productions coming from the Electro and Disco House scenes. This blend of sounds made for one of the most diverse periods in dance music—something we haven't quite seen repeated since. A Pop Diva Takeover The pop landscape at the time wasn't sitting quietly either. Britney Spears was staging a massive comeback, Beyoncé and Rihanna were dominating charts globally, and Robyn was redefining what electro-pop could be. Their tracks became essential remix material and ruled dance floors from coast to coast. We've packed both volumes of this series with heavy doses of these queens because, frankly, they owned this era. Now, if you're looking for a broader reflection of each year's biggest dance anthems,

We kick off this sizzling set with the undeniable "Go Back" by John Summit and Sub Focus. This track has already set dancefloors ablaze, and its unique blend of Summit's signature house vibes with Sub Focus's explosive drum & bass switch-up guarantees it a lasting place in your summer playlist. While we love incorporating drum & bass into our mixes, it's a tricky genre to blend seamlessly due to its distinctive time signature. Trust us, a strictly D&B set can clear a dancefloor faster than the DJ can "read the room." After extensive experimentation, we found the perfect transition in Anyma and Chris Avantgarde's massive "Consciousness" from two years back. This track effortlessly bridges the gap between "Go Back" and Armin van Buuren's latest hit, "By Now," even though they aren't in compatible keys – sometimes, it just works! From there, we dive into the infectious energy of TELYKAST's "Free" and Avalan Rokston's "Paradise," two underrated gems that are destined to become summer anthems. We've also included two spring releases that initially flew under our radar, despite their immense popularity. Cloonee's "Sippin' Yak" received a must-have official remix by Morgan Seatree, and Mr. Belt and Wezol's garage-infused rework of Whitney Houston's "It's Not Right But It's Okay" finally caught our attention. While the original Thunderpuss remix remains iconic, Renyn and Schelander's energetic version sealed the deal for us. Jennifer Lopez, riding high on the success of her Netflix movie "Atlas" (highly recommended), also makes an appearance with Fisher's masterful house remix of her 1999 classic, "Waiting For Tonight." We've meticulously curated this set to deliver a Club Fusion experience – a mix of genres that keeps the party vibe fresh and exciting. We'll be taking a short break, but when we return, get ready for our June Pride celebrations! We'll be dropping "Gay Anthems for a New Generation" and "Pride Edition 2024" in the same week. Additionally, look out for our annual "Catch-Up" series, featuring the year's biggest hits so far, and the next installment of our beloved "Throwback" series. Until the next time...ENJOY! * No frogs were harmed in the making of the cover art. ^This episode was updated by tightening the transitions for the first quarter of the mix. It's slightly shorter than the previous version. Album: Summer Leap 2024Genre: House, Progressive House, Trance, Techno,

You might be encountering a surge of tracks labeled "Afro House." But hold on a minute – isn't that what Progressive House used to be called? This trend of rebranding classic genres isn't new. Remember when Deep House morphed into commercial House, then Future House? Great music deserves recognition on its own merits, not through constant relabeling. Speaking of great music, the recent TikTok wave has unearthed some fantastic reworked Progressive House classics. Think genre pioneers like John Creamer & Stephane K, Deep Dish, Scumfrog, and artists who masterfully used heavy percussion – Chus & Ceballos, Oscar G & Ralph Falcon, Friburn & Urik, Peter Rauhofer, and many more. Tracks like Rui Da Silva's timeless "Touch Me" are getting a fresh spin for modern dance floors, and the results are phenomenal! Back to the Future: Revisiting Millennial Dance Music The cyclical nature of dance music trends is undeniable. Right now, the spotlight's on late-90s and early 2000s classics, with artists sampling or revamping entire tracks. It's a trend we wholeheartedly support, and you can expect to hear these gems showcased in future Club Fusion and Peak Hour sets. This trend sparked a trip down memory lane for us here at Party Favorz. Remember our BackSpin series from way back in our early years? Last year, we aimed to revisit the glory days of 2000s dance music, following up on our popular Ultimate 90s House Classics series. We started with a Millennial Dance Classics series, but the sheer diversity of the decade made it tough to curate a cohesive set. After all, massive hits often land in our Top Dance Songs of the Year anyway. So, we decided to resurrect the BackSpin series! This allows us to delve deeper into specific genres that defined the 2000s dance music scene. Each BackSpin release will focus on a distinct genre, with a sprinkle of Trance and Electronica thrown in for good measure. These sets will typically span a five-year period, featuring a mix of crowd-pleasing favorites and some hidden gems ripe for rediscovery – think "It's Love (Trippin')" by Goldtrix and Andrea Brown or "Addicted To Bass" by Puretone featured in volume 1. For those seeking classic remixes by the likes of Thunderpuss, Hex Hector, and Victor Calderone, fear not! We've already covered those in our Classic Circuit Anthems series from 2014. The BackSpin Reboot: A Journey Through Millennial Dance Music Genres The rebooted BackSpin series will explore the vast and vibrant landscape of Millennial dance music, beyond the big remixes.

Kon Kan, el proyecto del canadiense Barry Harris, publica el single “I Beg Your Pardon (I Never Promised You a Rose Garden)” en 1988. Party Favorz is back with the long-awaited continuation of our Top 2000s Dance Music Classics series, featuring some of the biggest hits from 2003 to 2004. Get ready to relive the golden era of dance music, with tracks like David Morales feat. Lea-Lorién's "How Would U Feel," The Roc Project feat. Tina Arena's "Never (Past Tense) (DJ Tiësto Remix)," Elton John's "Are You Ready For Love (Mylo's Road Map To Peace Remix)," Kurtis Mantronik presents Chamonix's "How Did You Know (77 Strings)," and Felix Da Housecat's "Silver Screen Shower Scene (Thin White Duke Mix)." This period was a time of transition, with progressive and electro house emerging as popular genres while DJs like Thunderpuss, Victor Calderone, and Hex Hector became household names. While some of the top songs of the time had a darker sound, this series focuses on the alternative versions of the dance hits and an emerging sound that would inspire a whole new group of superstar DJs in the near future. This series runs adjacent to Party Favorz's Top Dance Songs of the Year from 2000 - 2009 companion series, showcasing the diversity of dance music that was not always present in what promo services were promoting to DJs. With gems both big and small, the Top 2000s Dance Music Classics series is a must-listen for anyone who wants to take a trip down the not-so-distant past. So, let's go back to the early 2000s and relive the sounds that got us to where we are today. Until the next time...ENJOY! Party Favorz is back with one of our bucket list items that move us from the Ultimate 90s House Classics into the millennium. I took a different approach to this series, which immediately becomes obvious with the title. First, I started with 1999 because it is possibly one of the best years in dance music history. Many of today's biggest hits have reworked samples that have been turned into massive anthems for a new generation of partygoers. Everything from the late Paul Johnson's "Get Get Down," "Lady (Hear Me Tonight) by Modjo," "9 PM (Til I Come)" by ATB to "Around the World (La La La La La) by ATC and "Blue (Da Ba Dee)" by Eifel 65 have been plucked from the dance music annals breathing new life into the originals. Heck, even our lady Bey's smash album "Renaissance" is packed with samples from bygone eras. The other thing you'll notice is that this first set spans 4 years. The millennium was a great time for the evolution of dance music from Progressive House which began in the mid-90s and exploded by the end of the decade, to Trance, Techno, Hard Dance, French House, Filtered House, Funky House, Electro House and music that combined elements of all these genres. Of course, the advancement of technology had a lot to do with the abundance of offerings but it was human ingenuity that pushed the boundaries of what House Music could be. Needless to say, it's difficult to focus on just the hits because there were so many memorable underground hits as well depending on where you lived and the bars you frequented. If you're looking for the big room progressive sounds by Hex Hector, Victor Calderone, Peter Rauhofer, Thunderpuss, Junior Vasquez, or Jonathan Peters — you're better off revisiting our Top Dance Songs of the Year series, which starts in 1996 but it's 1999 and beyond you're after. Frankly, 1999 needs to be expanded but I haven't gotten around to it. Equally, five out of the six DJs mentioned have their own Legacy series linked in this article. Depending on what decisions are made with the future of Party Favorz next year — I may go back and do a series with just the big room progressive house anthems featuring these DJs and others. That could be a lot of fun. However, for this series — they were not included. I wasn't sure how this would turn out but this and the upcoming volume 2 have been on repeat in my car for several weeks now as I worked out the final track selections and I'm pleasantly surprised. There is a good deal of House Music styles here with some more Progressive House as it got redefined along with some long-lost gems that even I had completely forgotten about. These sets are long but what's nice is that you'll be surprised with each turn within the set. For the House purest, I had long ago created the purer Millennial House Music Classics series. I'll likely wrap up this series with two sets of 2003 - 2006 and 2007 - 2010 sometime in January. For now, I invite everyone to take a journey with me to a not-so-distant past. It may make you feel old but honestly, if this is your scene — you were part of the cool kids. For our young listeners and aspiring DJs — there's a lot of inspiration contained within these sets. Frankly, you could drop most of these songs in any modern set and nobody would be any wiser. That's how good they are. Until the next time...ENJOY! Album: Millennial Dance Classics [1999 - 2002] Vol. 1 Genre: House Music, Progressive House, Funky House Year: 2022 Total Time: 04:09:53 1. Bob Sinclar - I Feel For You (Morillo Re-Edit) 2. The original set was updated so that the Josh Harris remix of 'Proud' by Heather Small was switched out for the original remix by Illicit and the transition from 'We Are Family' by Sister Sledge was pushed out by 15 seconds for a smoother transition. We have finally reached the end of the Ultimate Gay Anthems & PRIDE Classics series and this fifth volume does not disappoint. I cannot begin to describe how difficult it is compiling and mixing this massive series. The decision process alone determining which songs make the cut and those that get left behind is a painful process. So, if there's anything you feel is missing — it'll likely make an appearance on the forthcoming Essential Gay Anthems For A New Generation set(s) I have planned for next week. I've been syphoning new remixes for songs that will be included and placing them into their own special folder and will collect our favorites since the original series began and compile everything into possibly two massive sets. For this final set, which represents a very specific time period between the 90's and say the first 15 years of the millennium with updated classics from those periods as welll as the 80's — I want to recognize the DJs that have not only filled our lives with so much joy but enriched them with their mastery and midas touch when it comes to reworking other artists. Over the course of this 5-set journey, the bulk of the biggest names have already been reconized in our Legacy series, which honors the work of not only the living but the deceased members of this elite community. It's no wonder that Hex Hector, Junior Vasquez, Ralphi Rosario, Tony Moran, Freemasons, Almighty, 7th Heaven, DJ Barry Harris, Thunderpuss, Victor Calderone, Toy Armada & DJ Grind, Wayne G and Jonathan Peters make up the bulk of what's presented here. No other DJs have contributed so much to our happiness and for that — we are most grateful for the joy they've brought to our lives. Keep in mind that while this series is a pretty fucking big deal and massive in scope and size — in no way does it discount or relegates artists, DJs and allies to the LGBTQ+ community not mentioned or represented in this series any less worthy. We worship them all and if I've left someone out — please accept my deepest apologies. I'll be back next week. Until then...ENJOY! Party Favorz is back with volume three of the Ultimate 90's House Classics [1998 - 1999] and this set dives deep into progressive territory. We kick the party off with one of our all-time favorties 'Lately' by Divine with Joanathan Peters performing remix duties. With it's ubeat synths and fantstic harmonies — 'Lately' packed floor every time it dropped. Of course all the club favorites from this era are here like Faith Hill's 'Breathe' and the sweeping Hex Hector accompanying remix, 'Sexual' by Amber (a Thunderpuss instant classic), 'I Will Go With You' by Donna Summer that was packaged with the some of the biggest name DJs from that period, 'Someone To Hold' by Veronica showcasing Johnny Vicious' versatility who would go on to be an in demand DJ in the early millennium, Whitney Houston's defiant 'It's Not Right, But It's Okay' (another Thunderpuss instant classic that takes the R&B original and jacks it up by a factor of 100 while blowing a hole in the roof with Whitney's powerful vocals - thank you Clive) and the massive 'You're Still the One' by Shania Twain courtesy of Soul Solution. Some of you may be looking at this track list and scratching your heads over the inclusion of 'Ojos Asi' by Shakira. I grew up in South Texas and the Columbian born singer was already a massive star through Central America, Mexico and various pockets of the United States with large Latino populations. The song has a strong middle eastern sound and was not like anything else on her fourth album the critically acclaimed and multi-platnium 'Dónde Están los Ladrones? It was tacked on to what was otherwise a more rock and acoustic album that elicited comparisons to Alanis Morissette. Once the video dropped for 'Ojos Asi' all bets were off. The song blew up and Shakria had arrived. Under the tutelage of Emilio Estefan (husban of Gloria Estefan), Shakira was primed to cross over into the American market and it would be two years before she dropped her first English language album 'Laundry Service' in the states. The remix for 'Ojos Asi' is often credited to Thunderpuss but was actually Pablo Flores who was also producer on her album. The song was an instant floorfiller upon its release in 1999 and frankly, fits in nicely with the tracks that surround it. Before there was Todrick Hall or Lil Nas X — there was Kevin Aviance. 'Rhythm Is My Bitch' was his second of three #1 dance club hits, which followed his 80's remake 'Din Da Da' and was proceeded by 'Alive' in 2002 with two other top 5 releases 'Give It Up' and 'Strut.' He had a cameo in Madonna's 'Secret' video and has worked with Janet Jackson and Whitney Houston. He was also a member of the vogue-ball house 'House of Aviance' and was a gender bending leader who paved the path for others. Check out the video below: https://youtu.be/Nk7GilPqr1I I've still got two possibly three more sets to go in this series. I'm setting a goal of getting them all out this next week without sacraficing tracks or quality. It gets harder once you start getting to the bottom but I'm convinced I can work it out. After a multitude of successful girl groups throughout the nineties — it was time for the boys to give it a go. While TLC was on the tailend of their fame with their explosive release 'FanMail' — the girls were in disaray with constant infighting which ultimately caused them to collapse. Enter stage left, Backstreet Boys, NSYNC and 98°. Even though most dance music wasn't being aired at radio (with a few notable exeptions i.e. Cher), the major labels were adept at crosspromoting their artists from radio to the dancefloor. This is where Hex Hector, Davidson Ospina, Soul Solution, Thunderpuss, Pablo Flores and Jonathan Peters come in. These DJs were already having great success in the clubs and easily took their winning formula and applied it to pop hits. Because this period is such a magical time for me, this final series covers a lot of ground from these two years and may even be a tad indulgent. Nevertheless, there was no stone left unturned in creating this final farewell to the nineties. It wasn't my intent to drag this on but unfortunately, there have been a series of diversions this past week that have kept me from knocking this series out. I'm only now getting back into the groove of things so all I ask is for a little patience. Once this series is finished, Party Favorz will be launching back into our regular scheduled releases in October. The Legacy release I had planned will be pushed into November. I should have at least one more release for the weekend followed by the rest next week. Until the next time...ENJOY! Party Favorz started the Ultimate 90's House Classic series in the fall of 2020. The overwhelming response to this series has been tremendous — certainly bigger than I thought it would be. A year later, we're now reaching the end of the decade and have pulled out all the stops for what is certainly considered the golden age of House Music. As we noted in earlier editions, the musical landscape began changing in the second half of the decade. After bubbling in the underground for several years before moving into the mainstream, Trance music took on a life of its own. While those tracks are not featured in this series (they'll get their own ultimate classics series soon enough) — Progressive House was the alternate powerhouse genre in the movement fueled by Hex Hector, Victor Calderone, Thunderpuss, Jonathan Peters, Peter Rauhofer (a.k.a. Club 69), Danny Tenaglia, Rosabel, Razor N Guido, Pablo Flores, Junior Vasquez and Johnny Vicioius who blurred the lines between Progressive House and Trance. Probably one of the biggest unsung heroes from this time period is Soul Solution who consisted of Bobby Guy and Ernie Lake. These guys were the go to for many commercial remixes and there's a story there that I can't seem to dig up so I'll just go by what I remember. Don't hold this as gospel because I'm only going by what I remembered. Maybe someone else can shed more light on this story. Soul Solution was their brand but if I remember correctly, the trademark was owned by a major label. When they attempted to leave the label, they weren't allowed to take the name with them. Since their brand was built under this name, it was near impossible to market themselves independently. Though, Ralphi Rosario from Rosabel managed to break out on his own as did Chris Cox from Thunderpuss and Guido Osorio from Razor N Guido but Bobby Guy and Ernie Lake were not household names. It's likely why Hex Hector (who had worked with the guys on the breakthrough remix of Toni Braxton's "Un-break My Heart" in 1996) picked up the slack in the coming years even though he was already in high demand. You'll likely remember a lot of their remixes but less so who remixed them. Party Favorz is here to set the record straight as much of their work will be featured over the next several sets. The major change in club music was no accident but something that was in the making for the better half of the decade and is fondly remembered by club kids (including myself) with 1999 through maybe 2001 being the best the genre servered up. As musical tastes changed, Progressive House eventually gave way to Electro House — another genre that came up through the underground. From some of the more obscure tracks, the biggest club hits including that whole short-lived Ibiza sound — TU90HC has got you covered. I had a lot of fun creating this first set and was taken back by Monifah's "Touch Me," which I had completely forgotten about. There will be a lot of these gems over these remaining sets that are gonna jog your memory and put a smile on your face. Until the next time...ENJOY! Earlier in the decade, Freestyle, Breakbeat, Trip Hop, Hip Hop and Eurodance were all offshoots of House music that went on to be fused together or evolved into their own distinct categories. More notably, the second half of the nineties witnessed a sea change in House music. While Classic House continued to be a staple on dance floors — the sound became more progressive, electronic and tribal as club culture began looking for something fresh and new. Enter Club 69 (Peter Rauhofer), Thunderpuss, Victor Calderone, Tony Moran, Hex Hector, Jonathan Peters, Soul Solution, Rosabel (Ralphi Rosario), Razor N' Guido, Vission & Lorimer and a host of others. The one consistent in this area was Junior Vasquez who easily switched between edgy commercial House and the big tribal beats that would eventually claim the dance floor. In fact, it took the Soul Hex remix (Soul Solution + Hex Hector) of Toni Braxton's "Un-Break My Heart" for the labels to take notice after it exploded all over the dance floor. For the sake of this series — the excellent Frankie Knuckles version was included on volume one of this series. That being said, this new style of music steadily became more dominant that it begins to take over this four volume series and explodes by 1998 - 1999. Other notable mentions in this period are Full Intention, StoneBridge and Love To Infinity who developed a tougher house sound that was commercially appealing and Armand Van Helden with his signature garage house style that sometimes veered into other worlds. The other offshoot that exploded was Trance. Trance had been bubbling in the underground with rave parties that were popular in the UK in the early nineties and eventually found their way over to the US. That's an entirely separate category and will be prominently featured in its own tribute later this year. Just know that many of the big names in Trance started out as house DJs. Rollo & Sister Bliss, Perfecto, Sash! and BT were all making house music prior to jumping over to this genre where they found massive success. After finishing volume two — I've decided to re-visit some of the earlier Legacy entries like Frankie Knuckles, Peter Rauhofer, Thunderpuss and Hex Hector. The original sets feel incomplete and can certainly be improved upon. I'd also like to incorporate more Club 69 remixes into Peter's tribute set since the moniker was key to his overall success. Those are being considered for a much future date as I got a lot on my plate at the moment. In the interim, soak in this heavenly slice of House music history and be sure to turn it the fuck UP! I should have volume three out on Saturday or Sunday and the final fourth volume for this period sometime next week. Until then...ENJOY! Every year during Gay Pride, the question "what constitutes a gay anthem" has been asked and answered in countless posts about the subject — even on this site. Party Favorz wants to break it down so "others" can have a better understanding as to why certain songs attract gay folk like flies to honey. By quoting the 2002 book "Queer," Wikipedia gets it mostly right but goes off the rails in other areas: The lyrics of gay anthems are often marked by themes of perseverance, inner strength, acceptance, pride, and unity. Ten elements were identified by the editors of the 2002 book Queer, which they claim describe themes common to many gay anthems: "big voiced divas; themes of overcoming hardship in love; "you are not alone;" themes of throwing your cares away (to party); hard won self-esteem; unashamed sexuality; the search for acceptance; torch songs for the world-weary; the theme of love conquers all; and of making no apologies for who you are." -Gay anthem from Wikipedia They go onto list a variety of songs that they think are written down in the gay annals of history with many of them being so off the mark that it leaves us scratching our head in bewilderment. Party Favorz even gets a mention (without mentioning us) when they list "Lady Gaga's "Born This Way", and Ariana Grande's "Break Free" (both of which are included here) considered as gay anthems for the new generation. Sound familiar? That's only a tacit acknowledgement of Party Favorz' contribution to the LGBTQ+ community but we'll take it. THEMES OF A GAY ANTHEM The book "Queer" provides the definitive list of the types of songs that meet the criteria for a gay anthem: First and foremost "Big-voiced divas" are a given. The women with massive vocal pipes are typically the first one's inducted into our big gay tent (see Whitney, Ariana Grande, Aretha Franklin, Kelly Clarkson, Adele, Sia, and P!nk). Even then, they may just be a persona, an image or style that reflects our personal choices but may not necessarily have the best vocals (see Madonna, Britney, and Kylie) Other times they may be a combination of both (see Cher and Lady Gaga). Overcoming hardship and love You are not alone Throw your cares away Hard-won self-esteem Celebrating unashamed sexuality Search for acceptance Torch song for the world weary Love conquers all No apologies As you can see — the qualifications are endless but never without reason. All these themes are explored one way or another in this 5-hour set, which features modern-day gay anthems as well as past anthems reworked for today's dance floors. While by no means complete — I dare you to find anything remotely comprehensive than what's contained here. THE MAKING OF A GREAT GAY ANTHEM There is one underlying theme that should immediately appear apparent when you browse the track list. That is the inclusion of an overly abundant remixes by DJ Barry Harris. Aside from his record-breaking work with Chris Cox as part of the Thunderpuss duo from the late 90s to the early Millennium — Barry has expanded his reach to gay and straight dance floors across the globe with his keen sense of taking songs and literally transforming them into monster anthems like no one else currently in the business. Just look at what he did with "Rise Up" by Andra Day, which is not only pertinent to the Black Lives Matter protests currently overwhelming the globe but to the every day struggles of the LGBTQ+ community. The man is a living icon and his contributions to the dance floor and to our lives deserving of recognition. FINALLY Given the uncertainty of the future of Party Favorz — we've gone back and reworked or expanded our most popular editions that will hopefully leave a lasting impression with listeners for decades to come. We hope that you enjoy this ultimate guide to gay anthems for the modern era and continue to support our efforts until we can longer carry the torch.

Pride Series begins with a well known Producer/Remixer group from the late 90's into the early 2000's, THUNDERPUSS 2000! Together the duo changed the way the general public looked at dance/club music.  You may think you don't know who they are, but I guarantee that you've heard at least one of the remixes. Whitney Houston's It's Not Right But It's Okay was the groups first big hit. if you've ever heard this song, chances are it's the Thunderpuss remix as that was the version of the song that became the most popular. That song and remix is what got me into DJing all the way back in 1998. This megamix is a look back at some of their best remixes as they worked with some of the biggest artists of the time including Madonna, Enrique Iglesias, Jennifer Lopez, Mary J. Blige, Tamia, Kina, Britney Spears and many more!  I hope you all enjoy this flashback into my early club going years.  I remember dancing to each and everyone of these jams on the Roscoe's dance floor in Chicago and hopefully you will enjoy these as much as I still do till this day!

If you've attended any circuit even in the last 10 years, you've undoubtedly danced to the euphoric sounds of Toy Armada and DJ Grind. During the late 90's and early millennium, DJs became household names in the likes of Hex Hector, Thunderpuss, Victor Calderone, and Jonathan Peters. With their signature big room sound filled with tribal beats and uplifting and joyful anthems, Toy Armada and DJ Grind has taken over the mantle once held by Thunderpuss (a.k.a. Barry Harris and Chris Cox) as the go-to producers for many of the top pop and dance artists. The two had met after DJ Grind sent an email to Toy suggesting they work together on a remix for the Kimberly Locke tune called "Feel the Love" (featured in this set). That track went to #1 in the UK which solidified a partnership that has proven to be successful beyond anything they probably could have imagined. Over the course of two volumes, Party Favorz explores the musical journey these guys have taken for 10 years and counting. Since Toy Armada had already established himself prior to working with DJ Grind and continues to put out his own releases, I've included many of his remixes as well which compliment their overall style. It's with much love and respect for the work these guys do in fulfilling our lives with joy and happiness that uplifts our spirits on the dancefloor that I add them to our Legacy series for their amazing contributions to dance music for the masses. I'll be back with volume two on Wednesday. Until then...ENJOY! Album: Toy Armada & DJ Grind | PRIDE Legacy Edition vol. 1 Genre: Circuit, Tribal, House Year: 2019 Total Time: 02:45:26 1.
