Het gezicht van journalist Paul Sneijder associeren we met politieke leiders als Helmut Kohl, Bill Clinton en NAVO-topman Jaap de Hoop Scheffer. Jarenlang was hij correspondent in Washington en daarna in Brussel. Hij berichtte daar over Europa en bezocht ook meerdere NAVO-toppen. In 2011 begon hij zijn eigen communicatiebureau en een paar jaar later besloot hij zich voor de PvdA kandidaat te stellen voor de Europese verkiezingen. Zijn vijfde plek bleek niet voldoende om verkozen te worden. Sportjournalist Kees Jongkind is al 35 jaar verbonden aan NOS sport; begonnen als bureauredacteur, daarna judocommentator en verslaggever. Uiteindelijk werd hij de man van de bijzondere sportdocumentaires en bleek hij in staat gesloten sportbastions te ontsluiten. Vijf jaar geleden werd hij verkozen tot sportjournalist van het jaar. Inmiddels heeft hij een nieuwe kleur aan zijn NOS Sport-palet toegevoegd; hij is adjunct hoofdredacteur geworden.

Onze gast van vandaag is Ruben Jongkind. Hij is de zoon van een Spaanse moeder en een Nederlandse vader. En dat is voor iemand die in het voetbal werkzaam is een combinatie die het beste van twee werelden samenbrengt. Maar zijn ervaring beperkt zich niet tot het voetbal. Hij heeft Masters in Milieuwetenschappen en Bedrijfswetenschappen. Verder heeft hij zelf ook aan triatlon gedaan, en heeft verschillende atleten in de atletiek gecoacht, onder wie Bram Som (800 meter). In het voetbal staat hij bekend als expert talentontwikkeling en jeugdopleiding. Hij is een echte Cruijff sympathisant. In die mate dat Johan Cruijff zelf hem een belangrijke rol als Hoofd Talentontwikkeling en implementatie van het plan-Cruijff in de jeugdopleiding zoals dat tijdens de ‘Fluwelen Revolutie' vanaf 2010 uitgerold moest worden bij Ajax. Op dit moment is hij strategisch adviseur en hoofd methodologie bij FC Volendam, en zal hij vanaf 1 januari 2022 toetreden tot de directie van de club als directeur opleidingen en samenwerkingen. Waar wij met YAAP onze missie ervan hebben gemaakt om een positief topsportklimaat in Nederland te realiseren, stellen wij Ruben onze vragen over hoe hij daarnaar kijkt, wat hij heeft geleerd van Johan Cruijff en uit andere sporten én hoe hij dit samenbrengt in de praktijk bij FC Volendam. Marianne Jongkind began her career in millinery in 1961.  Over the course of her career which so far has spanned nearly 60 years, she has become renown for her distinct designs and quality of work.  Marianne makes piece that include traditional concepts but also pushes to explore and progress new technique and materials. Bij hen is per definitie ‘le Jour de Gloire arrivé’, bij ons wordt ook na eeuwen ‘de Koning van Hispanje geëerd’. Net als de Franse staat en politiek is het bedrijfsleven daar een vorm van superieure administraties. De top van het land in alle sectoren komt ook uit dezelfde superieure opleidingscentra. In Parijs geen klasjes van Cliteur of een VU van de Donners en Balkenende. Het CV van de toppers van Air France/KLM laat fraai zien hoe Frankrijk wél in elkaar zit.En in de KLM-zaak bleek ook dat de Fransen bijvoorbeeld het gedoogbeleid inzake drugs in ons land allerminst vergeten zijn en hoe zij over die hypocriete Hollanders in dat verband denken. En toch blijkt uit interne signalen, dat de Fransen stiekem wel bewondering hebben voor de aanpak van de eigenwijze Wopke Hoekstra. Ook dat is vanuit de politieke zeden en gewoonten uit eeuwen van Bourbon-glorie, Bonapartisme en Gaullisme dan weer heel verklaarbaar. Vive la France! Vive la République!***Eerste-Kamervoorzitter Ankie Broekers-Knol waarschuwt de nieuwe kandidaten voor de Eerste Kamer dat het niet de bedoeling is, dat ze, eenmaal gekozen, ‘Tweede-Kamertje’ gaan spelen. Die waarschuwing geeft ze in de politieke podcast Betrouwbare Bronnen.‘Kandidaten van partijen die nu nog niet in de Eerste Kamer zitten en kandidaten die nieuw zijn, zitten op dit moment in debatten van: we zullen dat kabinet straks eens een poepie laten ruiken. Daar is de Eerste Kamer niet voor. Die is er om wetgeving op kwaliteit te controleren. Is het uitvoerbaar, is het handhaafbaar? Als je daar gaat zitten met het oogmerk: ik zal de boel in elkaar laten donderen, dan heb je de verkeerde instelling’, zegt Broekers.Ze verdenkt de voormalige Tweede-Kamerleden Mei Li Vos (PvdA), Paul Rosenmöller (GroenLinks) en het huidige Tweede-Kamerlid Selcuk Özturk (Denk) - met wie ze deze week aan tafel zat bij Pauw & Jinek - ervan dat ze in de Senaat de Tweede Kamer willen gaan dupliceren. 'Je moet er niet gaan zitten van: ik ben het er niet mee eens, want ik wil gewoon dat kabinet weg.’Lijsttrekker Henk Otten van forum voor Democratie heeft eerder gezegd: 'Ik hoef alleen maar even over te steken om te stemmen om het kabinet het zo moeilijk mogelijk te maken.’ Broekers kan het niet aanhoren: ‘U zult wel denken: dat mens komt uit een ouwe doos en zo is de wereld niet meer. Maar ik vind het belangrijk dat je als Eerste-Kamerlid een nieuwe wet grondig bestudeert. Ik mag hopen dat de nieuwe leden van de Eerste Kamer binnen de kortste keren ervan doordrongen zijn dat ze er daarvoor zitten. Als straks de mentaliteit is: hoe kan ik dit kabinet zo snel mogelijk laten struikelen, dan is dat echt verschrikkelijk.'Broekers huivert bij de gedachte dat Denk-lijstrekker Özturk naar de Eerste Kamer komt met een montageset om filmpjes te maken. 'Helaas ben ik dan geen voorzitter meer, maar daar zou ik rücksichtslos “nee” tegen zeggen. Dit gaat dus niet gebeuren!’ Broekers’ collega-voorzitter van de Tweede Kamer, Khadija Arib, heeft deze week nog geageerd tegen de filmpjes-makerij van Denk, waarin Kamerleden van andere partijen in een kwaad daglicht worden gezet.***Ankie Broekers-Knol zegt meer opmerkelijke dingen in Betrouwbare Bronnen.‘Joh, een minderheidskabinet is wat mij betreft ook heel prima. Het grote voordeel daarvan is, dat het kabinet dan veel harder zijn best moet doen om voorstellen te maken die op draagvlak kunnen rekenen. Ze moeten beter argumenteren. Ik vind dat op zich heel positief. Toen Rutte II maar 21 van de 75 zetels had in de Eerste Kamer, moesten ze beter hun best doen. Argumenteer nou eens een keer goed! En kijk of dat wetsvoorstel inderdaad de toets der kritiek kan doorstaan. Je moet veel beter je best doen. Maar dat zullen ze niet leuk vinden hoor, als ik dat zeg.'Ze adviseert de politieke partijen versnippering tegen te gaan door met elkaar te gaan samenwerken in nieuw te vormen partijen. Ze denkt daarbij aan de linkse partijen GroenLinks, PvdA en SP en aan haar eigen VVD en D66. Het CDA is volgens haar ‘een geslaagd voorbeeld’ van een samenwerkingspartij die vroeger niet voor mogelijk werd gehouden.De Senaatsvoorzitter vreest dat de renovatie van het Binnenhof langer gaat duren dan de beloofde vijfenhalf jaar: ‘Nou reken maar, dat worden er vast zes of zeven.’De staatscommissie-Remkes heeft voorgesteld, de Eerste Kamer ‘terugzendrecht’ te geven. 'Dat kan prima werken, maar het moet wat mij betreft altijd terug naar de Eerste Kamer.' Die moet het laatste woord houden, wat niet de bedoeling is van Remkes. Twintig jaar is journalist Kees Jongkind ermee bezig geweest: het vermiste kistje met urinemonsters van schaatssters Yvonne van Gennip en Ria Visser.
