Julie wanted to be a school teacher. At the end of her degree program she was student teaching with someone who told her she had no business working with people, especially children, and would be better off working in a cubicle by herself never interacting with others. As a result, her confidence was decimated. It took her two years after that experience to find a teaching job because she didn't believe in herself. Then she met another teacher who began to pour truth into her. During that time she came to faith in Christ and started saying "Yes" to God's promptings; that's when EVERYTHING began to change. The transformation has been gradual, powerful and undeniable. Now she helps others say "Yes" and is living life in a way she previously could only have imagined. Special Guest: Julie Richards.
Join Julie as she talks about a new term this week! Container is a practice to strategically let something wait for now. It is knowing our limitations so that we don't do too much too fast and re-traumatize ourselves. There are lots of practical things that can serve as a container, but also some more creative ways for hard things to be held -- in time, spaces, and in trusted safe people who walk with us.
