Following his retirement from the Navy in 1998, where he had spent many years on the bench as a judge, Ken Krantz served as an Administrative Law Judge for three different Federal agencies. While Ken acknowledges his information about when he became an ALJ is a little dated, he nonetheless brings awareness to the opportunities that are out there for people who would like to serve as one after leaving the JAG Corps. In addition to providing a link to a fact sheet on ALJ put out by the Office of Personal Management (https://www.opm.gov/services-for-agencies/administrative-law-judges/fact-sheet-administrative-law-judge-alj-positions-posted.pdf), Ken is open to connecting to interested lawyers via LinkedIn. Ken Krantz has gotten more complaints after shows than any other comic I know - and I LOVE these stories. Is it his dark material or his face? I don't know. Regardless, Ken tells some great stories about horrible audience interactions after shows and how his brother's support led him to first get on stage. He also makes me recall my worst heckler story. Another great comedy chat; give it a listen!Pat House is a nationally-touring comedian based out of Philadelphia. A regular performer in comedy clubs, casinos, and theaters all over the country, Pat has been a choice opener for Sebastian Maniscalco, Tom Segura, and Dan Cummins. He recorded his first album Biggest Thing in 2013, and his latest album Heard Enough Yesterday, hit #1 on the iTunes comedy charts. Both can be heard on iTunes, Amazon, and Pandora.Ken Krantz has been funny his whole life. He had to be to get any attention growing up the youngest of eight kids in a real-life Brady Bunch situation. He started doing stand-up in 2009 and quickly became a fixture on the Tri-State comedy scene, where he gained a reputation as a no holds barred joke writer. His laid-back style combines self-deprecating humor, his views on fatherhood, and his take on pop culture and current events. Ken has performed at all of the major clubs in the Tri-State area, including Gotham, The Stand, Stress Factory, and The Comedy Cellar. He can be seen every month on his own show, Underground Comedy, at Gotham comedy club and has been featured on Rawdog Comedy on Sirius XM Radio. He released his debut stand-up album, No Punchline Required, in 2016, and is the co-host of the podcast Why Bother? With Ritu and Ken. We kick off our Dad of the Month series with comedian Ken Krantz. Kyle opens up with a letter from a listener, and Ken shares how he was fired from a family business. His own family! He says having a daughter changed his material and that she is the real headliner in the house. He's a great comic even though a lady chased him with a butter knife after a show. Kyle ends on a story about a really stupid Guinness World Record.

The Triangle Shirtwaist Fire was one of the worst tragedies in the history of New York City...and somehow our guests Chris Covert and Ken Krantz made it okay to laugh at. The disaster spawned true reform for working conditions in America, the labor movement took on a new chapter and even those crazy old Roosevelts got involved. A truly irreverent take on an important topic...this one had us laughing big time.
