Some 24 hours before iGaming Ontario released its fourth-quarter and 2023-24 year-end market performance report, Canadian Gaming Association president and CEO Paul Burns made his return to the Gaming News Canada Show for somewhat of a rapid-round episode. Burns provided a plethora of perspectives on a number of topics, including the two-year anniversary of regulated gambling in Ontari-ari-ari-o and what's next, what may lie ahead for regulated sports betting and igaming in other Canadian provinces, the work that's been done in our home and native land on responsible gambling, and the role that Canada plays internationally in the gambling space. We also asked Burns about preparations between the CGA and SBC for the annual Canadian Gaming Summit in Toronto, taking place June 18-20. And, there was also some girls/women's hockey talk as the CGA's head honcho walks away from the bench after a lengthy coaching tenure in the Leaside Wildcats organization. Hosted on Acast. With a focus on creating meaningful stories, Brianna works closely with her clients, all 65 of them globally, to ensure their messaging is on point, branding is clear and digital content is engaging. Bamby Media produces this podcast that you're listening to right now! Over the eight years since launching Bamby Media, Brianna has helped hundreds of clients launch and grow their podcasts, with incredible results. As well as podcast and video production, Bamby Media has just launched an advertising and sponsorships arm (Bamby Network) and is kicking off a range of exclusive content creation retreats later in the year. With a fully remote team, Brianna's systems and processes are absolutely on point. Drawing on extensive experience in training and development, Brianna explains how she has built a resource hub complete with detailed training videos. She attributes this hub to not only allowing her to effectively run a fully distributed workforce but freeing her up to focus on other parts of her life and business. Brianna shares how enabling her team to work autonomously has allowed her to focus on client strategy and, importantly, to rediscover who she is outside of work. It's rare for someone to do this proactively, and it's so inspiring to hear Brianna talk about how she has created space in her life for joy, fun and her first love, music. This approach also allows her to model creativity to her team and encourages us all to reclaim the silliness we often lose as adults. Of course, sometimes business involves periods of intensive hard work, and Brianna reveals how she gets through these times and the ways she overcomes challenges in her business such as effective hiring. Brianna is an inspiring business partner and all-round wonderful human and leader. You will feel so inspired and uplifted after listening to this incredible conversation - dive in! This took me a while to think up the name for this eclectic journey through the music tastes of Head Honcho at Tiny Global Productions, John Henderson. I think I got it right in the end, despite me using my bad mic by mistake (though it's OK as John does 90% of all the talking) We take a look at artists who just do, or did, their own thing, hard to pinpoint in any specific genre, sometimes on the cusp of greatness, sometimes on the outskirts. Regardless it's a great selection of tunes from Rocksteady, to Hippy Folk, and much much more. THERE IS NO SPOTIFY PLAYLIST THIS TIME AS IT WOULD ONLY BE HALF FULL!!!! (best listen on our site or mixcloud then) With TUNES at www.infrequency.co.uk or www.mixcloud.com/tempfans John runs Tiny Global Productions, who release amazing music from bands such as The Nightingales, Band of Holy Joy, Blue Orchids, David Lance Callahan, and loads more cool stuff. Find out more and support the artists at https://tinyglobalproductions.bandcamp.com/artists And please consider supporting our show on Mixcloud with a tip or a cheap subscription. or even just come along and hit the BIG HEART next to an episode and like it! This episode features an interview with Jason Anthoine, Managing Founder (or Head Honcho as Jason puts it) at Audacity. With more than 32 years of experience, Jason's career includes leading global communications at GE, Newell Brands, and Verint. On this episode, Jason shares his three step process for building a successful Internal Comms plan that's proven with ROI. He also gets into why he started his own comms consulting company and how he handles Imposter Syndrome.-------------------“It's so important to have your comms strategy built off your business strategy because as good as an internal comms strategy is, it's telling you and your team what you're going to do. It's also your get out of jail free card for what you are now not going to do. Which is, ‘I'm not going to write your emails for you. I'm going to help you be better at writing them yourself and then you're going to be responsible for those.' Otherwise, your whole team is going to be bogged down with those types of requests and that's when you become an arts and crafts department, which is not a strategic business function.” — Jason Anthoine-------------------Episode Timestamps:*(1:41): How Jason got interested in comms*(4:19): What Audacity does for people*(5:17): Segment: Storytime*(5:27): Story behind the name Audacity*(7:01): How less is more in comms*(9:55): How ‘Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee' inspired a comms plan*(15:11): Segment: Getting Tactical*(15:27): Jason's 3 step process for building a comms plan*(22:38): What not to do when building a comms plan*(30:06): Segment: Ripped from the Headlines*(33:37): Segment: Asking for a Friend*(33:52): Imposter Syndrome: what is it and how to handle it-------------------LinksConnect with Jason on LinkedInFollow Jason on TwitterAudacityAmanda's LinkedIn www.simpplr.com/podcast
