Mark Yarnell, a legend among network marketers. Bringing back my 2014 interview with him. He built six and seven figure empires in Network Marketing 3 different times. Pay attention to what he shares about "Impression Management" and worrying too much about Other People's Opinions. I used to listen to Mark Yarnell’s training CDS on my portable CD player at the gym. I am dating us both here, and I am sure they were on cassette before that. I have learned a lot from him about Network Marketing over the years and because I have listened to him so intently in my ear buds, I really felt like I know him. It takes a ton of time to create a following. Here's how I leverage the followings already created by Celebrity MLMers... BUILDING A FOLLOWING TAKES TIME I have SO MANY books about MLM books on my bookshelves. It takes a long time to write a book or create a product that attracts people to you. That's why a lot of people will write books. To make them look like more of an authority figure. It takes a long time to build those things though. I don't want to spend tons and tons of time creating products. Sometimes it can be so overwhelming that you end up NOT doing anything. It can stop you using the internet for online leads and automation. That's a BIG mistake. It takes a long time to, not only build a product, but to build a following. A lot of time, money and energy. Your entire business could be around creating that following. There are TWO specific strategies that I'm going to teach you so you can leverage what is currently out there to get a lot of eyeballs on your very, very fast. How many people wish that you had Eric Worre's following? Think about authors for a second. I have so many books. Tom "Big Al" Schreiter, pre-closing for Network Marketing. Your Best Year in Network Marketing by Mark Yarnell - total rock star. I've spent a grand on books so that I know who the influences are. If I know they're publishing, then they're an influencer. Recruiting Up by David Ward Guerrilla Multilevel Marketing by Jay Levinson. WRITING A BOOK IS FREAKING HARD Oh my gosh, it's hard. Let's say I really am big into "Big Al" Schreiter. It's classic. He's a classic. Q: What's an easy way for me to go capture Big Al's people? A: Use his stuff. Go figure out which person, which big influencer out there has people that you can tell you'd love to have inside your downline or buying your products. Let's say that there's an MLMer out there that absolutely freaking loves, supplement stuff. Like Beach Body. Beach Body has a podcast that's the number two podcasts for MLM in iTunes. It's driving me nuts. I want to knock em out so bad. I want to be number two next, then I'm going for Simon Chan, who's number one with MLM Nation. If I want Big Al's audience, one of the easiest things to go do is to call them up. "Hey, can I get a hundred copies of your book at a discount?". Most people will say yes. You pay him the money. You're going to get a discount on it. And you literally used that book as your FREE + shipping book. Now you drive the ads to people who like the Big Al Facebook page. They're very likely to buy. What you've done is you've essentially list hacked Big AL. You have taken products, that are really, really cool and delivered them to the audience that he has spent time, money, energy, and parts of his life to develop. NOW they're coming over to you and you're getting them in the door with something that they're familiar with. Use your stuff as the upsells though. Upsells, downsells, that's your stuff. Their going to start building a relationship with you. That's one really sick way to do it. CELEBRITY MLMERS STRATEGY Here’s another really cool way to do it. Let's say I still want Big Al's people. Contests are incredible. This is an amazing strategy. Russell Brunson did it once. Let's go with Eric Worre. That dude has a butt-load of books and courses. One of the easiest things to go do is go get some of their most expensive products. Let's say you spend a grand or two. You're going to make way more than that during this. Run a contest to that same person's audience. I would go to Eric Worre's audience and every Facebook page that has anything to do with him and I would start a contest. You could use things like King Sumo, kingsumo.com. It's a great place for contests. You get people to opt in, opt in, OPT IN! They become traffic that you own. They opt-in in order to enter the contest and then they share it with their friends in order to get the unadvertised bonus on the second thing. It creates virality, BOOM! Now you've got yourself this sweet little system. There are people who have collected lists of hundreds of thousands of people with this very strategy. How much money did it actually cost them to get that list though? Statistically, if you're gonna run a Webinar, you're usually gonna spend $3 - $5 per registrant. Three to five dollars for someone to join your list. You might spend a dollar to get someone on your list through Google Ads. List like that aren't as hot. If you get several thousand people inside of your list, and they spend $50 - $100 on a product, that's worth a lot. WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THEY OPTIN? What do you do next? You just go dump them into your paid prospecting funnel. On Amazon after you purchase something that show you a list of products. People who bought that also bought this. I love that list. It does half of my shopping for me. Let’s say I buy a TV. Most of the time people get a TV mount. Most people bought this one. Sweet, I don't have to look. DONE. You can have people come in, "Hey, check it out. I got Eric Worre's course, right? I'm bundling all this stuff together. Enter in, and you get a chance to win it all for free.” They enter in, they share it, "Hey, by the way, did you know that I got this sick book over here also. You can get it right now. It's free plus shipping" or "Did you know I got this bundle of other interviews from all these other experts. It's only $27." You get a whole bunch of people on the list. Massive list growing strategy. Works fantastically well. Not only do you get a buttload of people on the list, but you can also dive them straight into your paid prospecting funnels. Get a whole bunch of cash off the top without having to spend hardly anything. Crazy cool strategy. Works really well when you know who you want in your MLM. BUILDING A FOLLOWING Let's say that, and rather than recruiting, you wanted it to sell actual products. Let's say that you're doing ketones. What else are people in ketones interested in? I bet there's a buttload of books that are to do with ketones. Or there's some gurus that have done some courses. Find something that's slightly valuable. Then go stick it out to the people who like ketones. Who's the guru? Take the guru's stuff. Give it to that person's audience that they took time to create for you. Thank you, Facebook. Thank you, following. You get a whole bunch of those people come on over for the contest and right afterwards you push them over like, "Hey, I do you want to try this ketone supplements." And then this is literally the first thing inside of the supplement funnel. What I'm trying to help you see and understand is how all of this stuff ties together and it's liquid. It's very liquid. It's like adult Legos. You're just taking out blocks. Especially if you can use things that have already been built by other people, that's brilliant. That's the best way to do it. It's so powerful to do. I don't like to go film a hundred hours of stuff all the time. I did for the Secret MLM Hacks course. It is really freaking good. What content has already been created? Just be an assembler. MY REALIZATION ABOUT BUILDING A FOLLOWING I was playing dodge ball with tennis balls, and we would do this every Monday. We’re hucking these tennis balls at each other and we would tick over tables in this basketball gym. We would dive from table to table and people would get hurt sometimes, like really hurt. All the tennis balls ... I mean these things are just flying all over the place and smacking people in the face and the throat. Anyway, it was a bunch of fun, and we looked forward to it every week. I show up and I'm excited and I'm eager to play. And everyone just kind of standing around and I’m like, "Man I really want to do this. Like, come on, let's go." I started getting all these people together and I don't know why everyone was really into the conversations they're having and they're all off on their own. I started to get frustrated because no one was starting. I go over and this guy's like, "Hey, what's wrong man? No one is playing let's do this." And I kid you not. It's the weirdest thing you've ever seen. The dude merely lifts his head, he didn't even raise his voice. He goes, "Hey guys, we're gonna start", and we're in a big gym. Everyone turned and walked to him at the exact same time. It was almost like it was planned. I mean, this is like a flash mob kind of a thing. And I was like, "What the heck? How did you do that?", and I was mad about it. I don't know why I remember this so well. I was like, "Huh, rather than me trying to be the guy to pull everyone together on that audience, I just need to learn how to be an aggregator." BE THE MAESTRO I'm just the maestro. I don't need to know how to play every instrument in the orchestra. Someone's a better bass, someone's a better tenor. Someone's the better soprano and alto. That's great. All I have to do is be the person that organizes it and there are millions to be made to those who understand that skill. Stop trying to create everything yourself. Understand it's actually really fun to do it this way. When somebody takes the time to go through a contest or some kind of paid prospecting thing, they are so much more fun inside of your downlines. They are such better buyers. They know you. It's not a convincing game anymore. When you're like, "Look at this feature and buy this one because a feature feature, feature, feature, feature,". You skip all that crap, all that garbage, and you go straight to a relationship based thing. "Hey look, I like it." "Cool. Me too now." WOW. It's because of the preframe. CELEBRITY MLMERS PREFRAME When I joined the army, when I was going to basic training, you guys know that classic, very cliche scene that Hollywood tries to depict. Where the bus is pulling up and it's just a bunch of scared to death wide-eyed kids sitting on a bus. All of sudden the bus stops, doors fly open, almost breaking, drill sergeant walks up and they just start yelling. They call that the shark attack. What they're doing is they're breaking and rebuilding a lot of your beliefs and they want mass confusion for a little while. But the preframe that the army had before we got off and even started training was insane. We were scared to death. The toughest dude, the toughest people, the people that looked like they flossed with nails. Guys that were there for crazy reasons. We're scared to death because of the pre frame. The preframe was insane. The issue with MLM is there is no preframe. It's by fixing the preframe that we fixed this industry. Super important.

What other's are saying - Stacy Todd Clark, on Facebook - Mark was one of the most generous people I knew. He taught to me to never judge a person asking for money. He would say if they are a "fake" that was between them and their maker. That I should give what my heart felt and to never second guess it. One day we were walking in downtown Reno and a man who was definitely tipsy asked Mark for money, he reached in his pocket and gave the man a $20 bill. I was surprised and said Mark he is just going to spend it on booze. Mark smiled that beautiful smile of his and said even a drunk deserves a Chivas Regal now and then. Mark Walmsley, on Facebook - Mark Yarnell, the author of "Your First Year In Network Marketing" passed yesterday. He was a true legend of the industry and his book is an absolute must read for everyone in this amazing profession. I appreciate his phone call when he had read my book, his words of support and encouragement meant a lot to me. Thoughts and Prayers to his family and friends. And, there are hundreds of others. Listen in to hear some of Mark's great insights into our profession of Network Marketing. Thank you, Mark, for the gifts you gave to all of us. You will be greatly missed. Today, I am interviewing Mark Yarnell, a true legend in our profession. I used to listen to Mark’s training CDS on my portable CD player at the gym. I am dating us both here, and I am sure they were on cassette before CDs. I have learned a lot from him over the years and because I have listened to him so intently in my ear buds, I really felt like I know him. When we chatted on the phone, I realized it was the first time we had ever really talked live, and I have still not met him face to face. And, I look forward to that day. He had me cracking up through much of the interview, and it truly was a fantastic hour! I hope you enjoy it, too. Mark has very average beginnings, as he’ll share. He sure changed all of that with the empire and success he has created. It just goes to show that anyone, really, can do it too, with commitment! Before we get into the interview, here is today’s show sponsor - Did you know you can accelerate your success when you feel confident about what to say to break the ice with your prospects, as well as how to answer questions, objection, and follow up? And, how to deal with that sticky question - are you involved in another one of those deals? Learn the Success Language of Street Smart Scripts over at StreetSmartScripts.com Jackie: Well, Mark, I have to tell you it’s absolutely a pleasure to have the opportunity to interview you. You’ve been one of my heroes and one of my mentors since my early days 20 years ago when I started in network marketing. And so it’s a treat and a privilege and an honor to be able to interview you here today. So thanks so much for spending some time with us here. Mark: Oh you bet, Jackie. I appreciate the opportunity. When I heard from you, I was excited to do it. So thank you. Jackie: Well absolutely. Well before we get into some of your background and all the amazing stuff that I know you have to share about our awesome profession, do you have a favorite success quote or some words of wisdom that you’ll share with us? Mark: Yeah, I mean actually, believe it or not, it came from my father at a very early age and it really has guided me through all my career in network marketing. My dad said that, and he called it the, out of his arrogance he called it Yarnell’s Law. I’m not calling it that, but he did. It’s the law of six, three, two. Six words, saw by three words, saw by two words. Do one thing at a time, do it right, finish it. And I have been guided through my whole career by those words of wisdom and I’ve found that having the focus to do one thing at a time and doing it the right way and then not starting something else until I’ve finished that particular objective, it’s served me very well. So that’s kind of my favorite motivational inspirational quote, but it’s also kind of a substantive way of going about life, I’ve found. Jackie: Well I love that and I love the fact that it came from your father because I think that’s a strong testament to good mentors in our lives that guide us through and it’s always fun when it starts close to home. Mark: You bet. Yeah. Dad was a great man. Jackie: Well tell us a little bit of your background before you got started in network marketing. What was kind of your career path? Mark: Well I started out. I got very fortunate at a young age. A friend of mine whose father had been a car dealer was able to come out of retirement and buy a car dealership right after Bobby and I got out of college. And I was called by him and he said, “We’ve got a little car dealership over in Oklahoma and, if you’ll come over and learn from us, we’re gonna buy another one and then we’ll own two dealerships.” The guy’s name was Bob Mayfield. Wonderful guy. I grew up with Bobby in Springfield, Missouri. So I began in the car business and I learned from some real masters in a small town in Oklahoma and, sure enough about two years into the process, another Chevrolet dealership became available over in a small community and we bought it. So I spent my first few years in the car business at a very young age and it was really the fortuitous intersection of blundering into it at the right time, young time in my life. But I found that I really wasn’t cut out for dog-eat-dog capitalism. It got to the place where I was working 60, 70 hour weeks. I had originally wanted to be a minister, believe it or not. I grew up in a fairly religious family and after several years in the car business I decided it just was not a good fit for me. So applied for seminary in Kansas City, was accepted and went up and went through two years of seminary. And then actually wound up my first church was in Knoxville, Tennessee and I was transferred to Kansas City and ultimately Austin, Texas in the early 80s, which is where I was first introduced to network marketing. I was very vulnerable at that time in my life because the Texas economy had really cratered and real estate was horrible, oil prices were way down and what happened, Jackie, was a lot of my wealthiest contributors, the big tithers in the church, were going Chapter 11 and bankrupt. A lot of people don’t know this but a lot of times in a church there’ll be eight or ten families that are actually the biggest supporters of the whole church ‘cause when they tithe it’s a pretty substantial amount. So our revenue stream was drying up in the church and my income had been cut in half when a friend brought me the business opportunity that led me into network marketing. They used to have a picture of me in the seminary, I actually worked selling cars while I was going to seminary and that was back in the years around the Nixon time. Somebody actually put a picture on the wall in seminary, “Would you buy a used god from this man?” And everybody got a big laugh from that. So it’s been an interesting trajectory through life. I’ve done a lot of things, a lot of things that are polar opposites, but it’s sure been a great life. Jackie: Well that’s great. So it was a friend who approached you with the opportunity? Was it someone from your congregation or Mark: It was. As a matter of fact, it was the guy who was on steering committee who hired me as their minister. He called me and he said, he was feeling kind of guilty because the income had been so depleted and, I think in an effort to absolve his guilt, he came over to my house one day and he was all excited. I remember the only thing he had was a dog eared Xerox check copy for $112,000 and he was just breathlessly telling me that there was a guy on the check that was making this much every month and he wanted to tell me about this thing. He thought it would be good for me given my income had been depleted so much. And I remember thinking well this is the silliest thing I ever heard in my life. Nobody makes that much a month. But yeah, to answer your question specifically, it was a friend, a member of the congregation and he showed up with a big check copy an that’s what got me started. That was back in April of ’86. Jackie: Wow! That’s awesome. April of ’86. That’s a lot of money now, but that was really a lot of money then. Mark: It really was. It really was. I couldn’t conceptualize it. It didn’t make sense to me that there were people, well when he showed me the check I thought, man, that guy’s making a good annual income. That’s a good salary. I mean $112,000 in a year’s pretty darn good ‘cause I’d never made that. And when he told me it was a monthly check, I was a little bit more than I can even handle. I just couldn’t believe it. It was a real conscious shock to me to know that there were people making that much a month and frankly I started out just to prove that he couldn’t be telling me the truth. I started by doing a bunch of research actually. Jackie: So you didn’t jump in right away.

SPONSOR As more than 3 million people a day go online looking for a business, you may be wondering how to get them to find YOU, and ask YOU about your business. Others started asking me how I did it so I developed Social Media Mastery BackStage Pass coaching and it is now open! Learn how to get your Network Marketing business online and develop a presence so that you can be found by some of those 3 million people! Visit SocialMediaBackstagePass.comfor details. Today’s question is…. Asked by Ricky by Email, and he asks - Why do people quit Network Marketing so quickly? ANSWER - well, that’s the million dollar question of the day, really? A few reasons - They don’t know what to do, or aren’t trained properly. They are afraid of sounding, looking, feeling foolish. They can’t get past their own selves and their preconceived ideas of what other people think or will say. They think they are buying a lottery ticket! And, sometimes, they find it easier to sign up than tell you no. This has really happened to me and others. So, first, They don’t know what to do, or aren’t trained properly. What you can do as a sponsor is make sure you have a system for getting a new person started. Make sure they know how to make their list, some good success language to call those people, and have and understand the third party tools to present the business. Help them set up their calendar and make sure they understand the income producing activities that will create income for them. Check in regularly for the first few weeks and then gradually leave that up to them. Here is what Osita from Nigeria had to say about education Pipe in Nigeria Second reason - they are afraid of sounding, looking, feeling foolish. Again, with good training and even role playing what they are going to say to people, you can move them past this. Make sure they know how to contact and invite and how to overcome the basic objections. REALLY train them that it is okay to say - I don’t know the answer to that question because I have never been asked it before. But, I know where to find the answer. Let’s call my team sponsor and business coach and get that answered for you right now. This way, they feel empowered, the question gets answered and you model for the prospect that there is plenty of help, support and answers available. Third, they can’t get past their own selves and their preconceived ideas of what other people think or will say. Here is the thing. People don’t think about you all that much! I recently interviewed Mark Yarnell and he summed it up best - Mark Yarnell: You’re trading impression management for the right to provide your family with a lifestyle they deserve. What I mean by that’s really simple to explain. I talk to people all the time whose lives don’t work. They’re putting in 60 hour weeks at a job they hate with a boss or a board of directors that they think are stupid. They’re stressed out. Their kids are on drugs. They haven’t been on a meaningful vacation in ten years. They haven’t had sex with their wife for five. And so they’re sitting there, their life doesn’t work. And I come into their life and I start talking to them about how they can turn that around and get off the 40 year plan, which I’ll be apt to explain to you if you want to know, but I say, “I can get you off the 40 year plan and put you on a four year plan. Your life’s not working. I can show you how to do it.” “Well, what is it?” And then I tell them a little bit about it and it’s amazing the number of people whose lives are horrible, by their own admission, their own description, who will not do what I’m doing because they want to be able to manage the impressions that other people have of them in the community. Heck with their family. Heck with the vacations. Heck with the fun, the joy, the quality of life that we can all have. No, no, no, no, no. They’d rather stay in a salaried position they hate as long as all their friends think they’re a big professional business person or doctor or dentist or whatever. So the big sacrifice people have got to be willing to make is they’ve gotta stop playing childish, teenager, arrested development games of personality and impression management and start focusing on what will provide their family the best standard of living. Because one thing I’ve learned, the money you make the more stature you’ve got in the community. But a lot of people don’t want to do our industry just because they’re so afraid what people think of ‘em. Oh my god, this is one of those pyramid deals. Duh, yeah it’s a pyramid. Everything’s a pyramid. Flip over a dollar bill, there’s a pyramid on the back of it. Every structure is shaped like a pyramid. You don’t mean Ponzi scheme do you? Those are illegal. Most people in a professional position, now I don’t care what it is, are unwilling to sacrifice pretense for productivity. And so they stay in a meaningless dead-end life because they’re so afraid what other, they want to manage everybody’s impression of them. Well I got news for those people. When people put their head down on their pillow at night, they’re only thinking of numero uno and it ain’t you. You may be the subject at a church function or a cocktail party ‘cause they don’t have anything better to talk about. “Did you hear about Yarnell? He’s in one of those pyramids.” But the truth is, they don’t really care about you. They get to choose to make any impression, form any impression they want about you. So, since you can’t really manage people’s impressions anyway, it seems like kind of a stupid way to go about life, especially if your life stinks. So my goal is to find people who finally had enough impressing people with all their fancy debt and their Beamers and their Mercedes and their hot tubs and their airplanes. Their lives don’t work. They haven’t been to a kid’s recital or soccer game in ever, their spouse is about ready to leave ‘em. Their life stinks and I’m looking for those people who say, “Okay. I played by all the rules and everybody’s impressed that I am a dentist or I’m president of the bank or I’m a doctor or I run this little corporation, but I’m tired of that. I don’t care what people think of me. I’m gonna rise to my full potential and I’m gonna explore every option out there.” Those are the people I’m looking for who will sacrifice their absurd obsession on impressing others for the money and time freedom that their family deserves. That make sense? Fourth, they think they are buying a lottery ticket! Some people just don’t see the “work” in network marketing. There isn’t much you can do about this. Make sure you get them trained properly and are there to support them. Beyond that, it is up to them! And, sometimes, they find it easier to sign up than tell you no. This has really happened to me and others. Again, what can you do here? Go find someone who has the hunger, desire and willingness to make it happen. So, there you have some reasons why people quit so quickly. Just make sure you aren’t one of them! Good luck out there! Do you have a question? Today’s question is…. How do I get over being worried about what other people think about Network Marketing and my decision to join a company? ANSWER Boy, can I relate to THIS question. I struggled immensely with this. And, most of it was made up stuff in my own brain and mis-information. Sometimes, when you start a Network Marketing business, you must be willing to accept a temporary loss of Social Status with some people. Oh well! Remember this - other people’s opinions don’t pay the bills! More on this later. I have listened to hundreds of hours of interviews by entrepreneurs, outside of network marketing and do you know most of them have gone through the exact same thing? When they wanted to buck the corporate system and take the entrepreneurial path, they got huge resistance from parents, family members, friends and those who wanted to “protect them” from themselves. Think of Robert Kyosaki, Rich Dad, Poor Dad. He’s “poor dad” or biological father told him to go to school, work hard, get a good education and get a good job with benefits. His rich dad, the father of a good friend was an entrepreneur and encouraged him to chart his own course. He choose to be an entrepreneur and was met with huge resistance. Derek Halpern, of Social Triggers shares the story of charting his own course, and starting an entertainment blog, which was not perceived as “worthy” by his parents, and others. He made $25,000 his first month and $20,000 the second month and his mom asked - When are you going to get a real job? And, he listened and took a corporate job paying $50,000 a year. So he traded what he had made in essentially 2 months for a cubicle and the same pay for 12 months! Yikes! Needless to say, he didn’t stick with that. Adam Braun, a hugely successful, but more obscure entrepreneur shares the story of grabbing a steak off the plate of a junior partner in a consulting group he had just joined, when she didn’t eat it and the waiter was taking it away. It was a large corporate dinner. Needless to say, the entire dinner group stopped and listened when she asked - DID you just take my steak? What he learned from that lesson is - go for what you want, and show others that you are your own person, confident and self assured. If you don’t have enemies, you haven’t stood for something. Asking for permission is asking for denial. Who are you asking for permission from? Often, when people ask if it’s MLM, they are just waiting for your reaction. To see how you really feel about it! We worry about being judged by other people, but here is the deal. Even if someone passes judgement on you and your decision, it doesn’t last very long. People don’t about it every time they see you, unless you give them a reason to. We also tend to make things up about why people don’t like Network Marketing or why they tell us no. We assume they won’t be interested and so on. My negative blueprint stems from My first experience was as a 12-13 year old, when my Uncle joined Amway and talked to my family about it. I was not around for the conversation but what I remember is my mom, his sister and their other sister, not having a lot of positive to say about it. What I made up in my mind is that it is bad. Don't know why, but join a Network Marketing company and your family will talk about you. Now, interestingly, I contacted my mom a few weeks back to ask about that whole experience and why they were so negative about it. Here was her response. "It's not that I was negative about Amway or that business model, I just know that I am afraid of sales, know that I would never be good at it and I don't like people pushing their products on me, so I could never do that." Hmmm. That gave some perspective. First, wow, what we can make up as a kid with only pieces of the story. Second, her perception is that she was having products pushed on her, or would have to do the same. So, either my uncle was too salesy or my mom just made up her own scenario because she wasn't interested and couldn't just say - no thanks, good luck. Now, I do know it to be true about my mom that our business model is not a fit for her. She's not particularly coachable so even working her through it all would probably not happen. Good lesson there - know when to let go! Other People’s Opinions don’t pay your bills. Do you seek other people’s opinions about everything, or other things in your life? First, not everyone is going to tell you yes, and you may hear a few no's before you get to some yeses. If you know this going in, and are prepared for it, then you will be expecting to hear no from some who you are hoping will join you. Can you prepare for that now? Can you handle it if and when they say no? Here is one thing I assure you – if you will stick with your network marketing business; develop your business skills and keep following up with those who you have talked to previously, many of those will come back and say YES at a later time. That is my story. I said no WAY before I said yes. Nothing had changed in the business, products, compensation plan, etc, when I decided to say yes. What had changed was ME. I was now ready. Remember, other people can only affect you if YOU allow them to. Their opinion does not reflect on you, your company and products, or your decision, It's simply a reflection of them, and where they are in their life right now. And, if someone happens to be mean or nasty about it, then that speaks a bit to character and their own insecurities, in my opinion. Here is something to say when someone begins to offer their opinion about what you are doing without having seen the business overview. "You can't really have an opinion about what I am doing if you haven't even seen what it is. If you would like to look it over and then give me an educated opinion, I would love to have that conversation." What can someone say back to that, really? Don’t assume everyone is negative on MLM. Leslie Zann, Donnie Walker and many other top professionals had no negative blueprint, and were fascinated with the business model. Robert Kiyosaki is a huge fan and endorses it. Me, Margie Aliprandi, Mark Yarnell and others; we had some preconceived ideas about it. We had to overcome this in order to move forward. So, you must decide for yourself what matters most - as Mark Yarnell said to me - “I think the real sacrifice is you’re willing to trade impression management, which is stupid anyway and impossible to generate. You’re trading impression management for the right to provide your family with a lifestyle they deserve. It’s amazing the number of people whose lives are horrible, by their own admission, their own description, who will not do what I’m doing because they want to be able to manage the impressions that other people have of them in the community. One thing I’ve learned, the money you make the more stature you’ve got in the community. But a lot of people don’t want to do our industry just because they’re so afraid what people think of ‘em.
