Uh, we are here to dive into cannabis news and notes. That will hopefully help you make some money on some cannabis stocks or otherwise. So let's dive right in several things to report today were not quite out of earning season yet, but let's start with Metaform labs, M E D I F on the OTC.They are a nice, uh, larger. Player in the Canadian market at they add flour and pre-rolls to their portfolio. Uh, they also acquire IP from shelter cannabis. And if you did not recognize that name, shelter is a pretty popular consumer brand in Canada. Uh, so I think they're looking to compete with the likes of Val, uh, in sugar, bud, and those really expanding their product portfolios right now on the Canadian side, Aker K E R N on the NASDAQ reports, their Q4 and fiscal year 2021 earnings. In the fourth quarter revenues, uh, were 6.6 million, which were up 61%. Sequentially is pretty great. fiscal year 2021. They had 19 million in revenue via software, which was up 59% year over year. And their total revenue was 20 point. 7 million, which was up 49% year over year, they did have a net loss of 33.6 million.Um, not out of this world high, but I will say what worries me is it was increase year over year by 6.7 million. So something to keep an eye on, uh, as you move forward, they are moving in the right direct sales wise or moving in the right direction, volume wise. Um, I would. I, I think their net loss ideally is coming from a couple of these acquisitions.Uh, but overall a ke to me still far and away, a technology leader in this industry, and definitely at least a watch Lister, Chicago Atlantic R E I on the NASDAQ as of December 31st, their loan commitments totaled 235.1 million, uh, 200.4 million of which is already funded their fourth quarter. Uh, they had four and a half million of net income. And over the course of the fiscal year of 2021, they had nine and a half million of net income. So Chicago Atlantic moving in a solid direction there looking to compete with the other major res of this industry, POA bit POS a F on the OTC is a major, uh, POS a, uh, In this industry, uh, they have a nice footprint in 18 states. Now, as they enter Texas and Georgia, they just recently entered West Virginia, I believe last week, overall, pretty impressive, uh, aggressive strategy right now from posit that we haven't seen from them recently. Um, in terms of technology companies, both PO and, and Ana are positive ones here and some interesting news out of canopy CGC on the NASDAQ.They perform a C B D efficacy study on menstrual health. It was a six month randomized clinical trial on 40 participants with James Madison university, nearly 75% of reproductive age, menstruating individuals report experiencing unpleasant menstrual related symptoms. The results of this study showed significantly reduced symptoms over the course of six months. The higher dosage of C, B D was effective in reducing irritability and stress over the same period. So, uh, probably something a lot of us already assumed, but it's really nice to see studies on this come out and be put on by industry leaders like CGC. Having said that CGC is not having a great day in the markets already.I think they're down well over 2%. Uh, but that might be. Because of, uh, Barclay's downgrade, uh, on their stock. But that being said, I like seeing CGC active in the space like this, uh, some news out of item nine labs, they're a major franchise, uh, brand with their, the brand being unity road, which breaks into New Mexico with a multi-unit signed agreement franchising. It seems to be. Taking up speed recently, something to keep an eye on. And if it does item nine, labs is going to be a major player in this space. Flower one, which is a major Nevada operator, F L O O F on the OTC. Definitely my favorite ticker in the industry. Falu their CEO, ke OIF announced as an advisory board member to the Weldon project. He joined some pretty incredible names. Um, I believe Kyle Kaza, uh, from Glasshouse group, I believe, uh, Brady Cobb. Um, so Welden project is really, um, ACU accumulating leaders in this industry to help. Um, the stigma and to help decriminalize what should have been decriminalized a long, long time ago. This is Elliot lane with cannabis daily. If I'm looking at winners today, I'm probably looking at pasta bit. I'm probably looking at item nine labs. Um, I'm keeping an eye on Aker. I, I'm not sure how the market's gonna react to this report, but I do think they're moving in a good direction. Uh, technology of course, is not dependent upon legalization as a lot of the other stocks in this industry are.So with that in mind, uh, continue to do your due diligence, continue to do your financial research. Looking forward to doing this again tomorrow, my friends until then PC cannabis.com for our events, Ben zinga.com/cannabis to stay updated throughout the day. Hey investors. Some new stuff, mixed with a bunch of older jazz-influenced hip-hop. All instrumental. If the mix gets a little sloppy towards the end, blame it on the bartender. This week’s episode was recorded (twice) on December 27th, 2015. This week’s episode was cursed. The episode was recorded twice (once with Mike, once without…), so bear with us this week as things get weird. The final version features Zander Riggs, Tia Vasiliou, and Nick White who talk what they read last week and their comic picks for this week (Mercury Heat #6, Doctor Fate #7, and The Omega Men #7). The focal topic this week was about selling comics based on their creators and subsequently about following creators (on social media and other platforms–not in real life). Tia had to attend to some business at home, so the last chunk of the show is mostly Zander and Nick ranting… especially after the credits.
