The Kiwi dollar continues to weaken against the Australian dollar, hitting a three-year low last week. The NZD is currently trading at 88 cents off the back of soft GDP growth and rate cuts, and concerns are raising as China's economic rebound could widen the gap further. Investment director for Craigs investment partners Mark Lister told Mike Hosking that New Zealand's rate cuts are having a stronger impact on the economy than Australia's. 'We are obviously looking at more rate cuts than we expected and not for the right reasons.' LISTEN ABOVE See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Recorded: September 15, 2025 Will Compton and Taylor Lewan are back on the bus and this week they’re joined by a true showman, WWE superstar and reality TV icon, The Miz. From main-eventing WrestleMania and taking on the likes of John Cena and Brock Lesnar to starring in his own reality show, The Miz has done it all, and now he’s hopping on the bus to talk life inside and outside the ring. Before the A-Lister joins, the Boys start off with some classic Bussin’ Bowl Banter and tease the most epic rivalry game in all of sports. Then it’s time for The Miz himself—one of the most decorated wrestlers in WWE history and arguably the greatest talker on the mic. The Boys kick off the interview with some Ro: Spicy Tier Talk. They then cover everything from Miz’s journey through MTV’s The Real World to WWE glory, how he keeps reinventing himself after two decades in the spotlight, and what it really takes to survive in the world’s most cutthroat entertainment business. Miz pulls no punches sharing stories about locker room politics, his most brutal matches, and the mindset that keeps him at the top. Whether you’re a diehard wrestling sicko or just here for some legendary storytelling, this one’s got something for everyone. In this episode of Spirit Box, I am joined by Dr Andrew Manns to discuss his forthcoming book, Aradia's Hidden Hand: The Untold Life of Roma Lister (Hexen Press, September release). The conversation explores Roma Lister's overlooked role in Victorian spiritualism and the occult, from her collaborations with Charles Godfrey Leland—including her involvement in the famous Aradiamanuscript—to her contributions as a folklorist, occult writer, and mentor. Dr Manns traces her connections with Italian folk witchcraft and prominent figures such as Baroness Julia Rosencrantz, and her experimental blend of séances, folk magic, and Theosophy.Andrew also shares fresh insights into Leland's influence on modern witchcraft, particularly how Aradia shaped Doreen Valiente's Wiccan rituals, as well as his own discovery of newly uncovered correspondences between Leland and Lister. This is a show rich with the hidden histories of folklore, witchcraft, and Victorian spiritualism, shining new light on a woman whose legacy has long been obscured.Show notes:About the book https://www.hexen.fr/blog-hexen/livres/aradias-hidden-hand-the-untold-life-of-roma-listerThe Thinkers Garden https://thethinkersgarden.comRoma Lister https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roma_ListerCharles G. She also shares the real story behind her unexpected friendship-turned-romance with David: how it started, when it shifted, and what their relationship looks like today. Plus, Madison bravely speaks out about a stalker who's taken the “reality TV villain” narrative way too far, and how she's navigating life in the spotlight with resilience and grace. How to prevent infighting, mitigate status races, and keep your people focused. Cross-posted from my Substack. Organizational culture changes rapidly at scale. When you add new people to an org, they'll bring in their own priors about how to operate, how to communicate, and what sort of behavior is looked-up to. Despite rapid changes, in this post I explain how you can implement anti-fragile cultural principles—principles that help your team fix their own problems, often arising from growth and scale, and help the org continue to do what made it successful in the first place. But somehow, she’s all of those things and more. In this episode of No Filter, Kate Langbroek sits down with Kayla to talk about the story that wasn’t supposed to be told. Summer blockbusters like the new Superman and Jurassic World movies may be doing great at the box office, but promoting them is more complicated than ever. The old celebrity playbook of magazine profiles, TV chat shows and press junkets isn't enough in an era of audience fragmentation. Publicists now have to strategize which podcasts to make time for, and whether their clients will eat chicken on YouTube with Amelia Dimoldenberg or Sean Evans. This week on The Vergecast, guest host Mia Sato talks to Vulture's Fran Hoepfner to break down the ever-changing new media circuit, whether you're a beloved A-lister, a formerly-beloved A-lister, or an aspiring A-lister. Then, we take a deep dive with Sarah Fackrell into a controversial legal tactic brands are using to go after online sellers hawking everything from grumpy cat T-shirts to closet hooks. Finally, Victoria Song joins Mia to answer a Vergecast hotline from a listener wondering whether an AI translator will be able to keep up with his partner's Colombian mother. If you've got a question for us, call 866-VERGE11 or e-mail vergecast@theverge.com.
